Chapter 193

After Han was rescued, Jabba was killed, Boba Fett was dealt with, everyone met up. The sand storm was hitting their eyes, so they couldn't see clearly or hear each other. But they were leaving. All of them, in one piece, which was a good thing.

"How are your eyes?!" Qi'ra shouted to be heard.

"I don't know! All I can see is a lot of blowing sand!" Han muttered loudly.

"That's all any of us can see!" Luke pointed out. Han blinked repeatedly to try and see if Luke was right.

"Then I guess I'm getting better." He stated.

As soon as they saw the Falcon, the doors opened as Ahsoka and Rex walked out. Han frowned in alarm, trying to see.

"Am I seeing right? Did Mama Ewok fly my sweetheart?" He demanded.

"It wasn't a pleasure for me, either. It's not my style." Ahsoka snipped.

"Then you have to work on your style."

Before Ahsoka could shoot him up with words, Han turned to Laetitia, who was watching the whole thing.

"I've got to hand it to you, buddy. You were pretty good out there ... You both were." He said as he glanced at the siblings.

"I had a lot of help." Luke shrugged happily as he smiled.

"Think nothing of it." Leah softly said.

"No, I'm thinking a lot about it. That carbon freeze was the closest thing to dead there is. And it wasn't just sleepin'. It was a big wide awake nothing!"

Leah nodded as Chewie growled affectionately at their friend. He mussed her hair with his hairy big hand like a proud uncle. Leah made a face as she chuckled slightly. He and Han always messed with her hair.

Luke smiled as he walked to his sister and hugged her warmly. Leah hugged him back immediately to say goodbye.

"I'll see you back at the Fleet." She said as she broke the hug.

"Why don't you leave that crate and come with us?" Han asked.

"My Comet is not some 'crate'. And ... I have a promise I have to keep first ... to an old mentor." Leah quietly trailed off.

She had to go back to Dagobah and see Yoda. She promised Qui-gon that she'd go back ... She felt like there was still a few things she didn't know but needed to know. She could only imagine that whatever she'd learn was not pleasant.

Han was looking weirdly at Lando, obviously remembering his friend's betrayal, and ... help. He didn't know what to feel. He was even more confused about Qi'ra. What was he supposed to do about her?

While he was thinking, Ahsoka walked to Qi'ra, giving her some actual clothes ... and a cuff. She put on the restraints on her and handed her over to Rex. She was still a prisoner.

"Don't think this changes anything!" She shouted after her.

Han stood still as Qi'ra was dragged away. He didn't even look at her. It was his fault that the Echo Base was destroyed. Leah said she was dangerous, but he didn't listen.

"Guess I owe you some thanks, too, Lando." He muttered, which caused Lando to smile.

"Figured if I left you frozen like that, you'd just give me bad luck the rest of my life. So I might as well get you unfrozen sooner or later."

"I think that's his way of saying 'you're welcome'." Leah said for him.

"He has a weird way of saying it." Han shot back to his 'friend'. Lando merely shrugged as he helped Han get on the ship.

"Come on, let's get off this miserable dust ball." He said.

"You guys go ahead." Ahsoka suddenly said as she walked over to Leah, who was confused.

"What are you talking about? What about you?"

"I'm going with you ... Qui-gon told me you shouldn't be alone." She quietly admitted.

Leah frowned in alarm and confusion. As much as she appreciated having her friend by her side ... what was she gonna learn that would make her need someone by her side?

On Dagobah

Laetitia and Ahsoka left Tatooine as soon as they were done, but by the time they reached Dagobah, it was too late. Yoda had already passed away and passed on in the Force.

Leah really didn't know how to feel about that. Master Yoda was a lot of things to her. He used to be her mentor, her friend, her Master, the Grand Master ... He was a lot of things, and they both felt a lot of different things towards each other ... but Leah never considered him her enemy.

Just someone who stuck to wrong beliefs. She'd be lying if she said she never hated him for that, but ... she was a bit sad that her old Master had passed away.

Ahsoka was sadder than her friend. She and Yoda were closer than they were. She may have had feelings towards the Jedi, but ... she was still a Jedi. Or somewhat of one. Besides, Master Yoda was actually one of the kind Masters in the Jedi Order.

The War changed him ... That wasn't his fault.

Leah and Ahsoka walked out of Yoda's hut. They both stopped when they saw who was in front of them. Obi-wan, Qui-gon, and ... Yoda.

Leah was frozen in her place, as cold as she could be, but Ahsoka ... She was a bit surprised to see them. Because of Leah, she and Qui-gon were actually sort of close, but she hadn't seen Master Obi-wan in almost 20 years.

"Master ..." She breathed out quietly.

Before Obi-wan could express himself that he was happy to see her, too, Leah came in between them to get to the point.

"Here I am, as promised." She coldly said.

Obi-wan sighed, chuckling softly. She was an impatient as her father ... She was a bit too much like him.

"Yes. Thank you for coming back here, Laetitia. I know it was not easy." He admitted.

"What am I doing here?" Leah demanded.

"Laetitia ..."

"No, Obi-wan. I am here, despite everything the Jedi has done to me and my family. The least you could do is to have the decency to tell me the truth now. So please, no more small talks. What don't I know?" She asked, begging him to answer her.

Obi-wan hesitated for a moment. He knew she needed to know. That was why she was there ... But telling her the cruel truth was too hard. He didn't even know where to begin.

"When you were born, Master Yoda and Windu had another vision. It was about the day the Jedi were no more ..." He trailed off as soon as he started.

"Order 66." Leah concluded, remembering every single detail of that horrible event.

"... And how you caused it." Obi-wan sadly added.

Leah felt like she had been struck with Sith-lightning. What the hell did that mean? How did she cause the destruction of the entire Jedi Order? Even Ahsoka was shocked to hear that.

"What?"

"They saw a future where the Jedi were wiped out by you. In that prophecy, you were named 'the Qorit'."

"That means 'the end' in Sith language." Leah thought out loud.

"Yes." Obi-wan quietly said.

"And they still took me in?!" She snapped at him immediately. It didn't make sense at all.

"That is precisely the reason why we took you in. Rushed into your training. Allowed you to pass the trials to become a Knight. Promoted you to the rank of General ... Because we were afraid of that day that might have come. We, or rather they, thought that if you had something or thought we cared about you, you wouldn't do the things you were destined to do." He quietly explained as he looked down quietly in shame.

Leah swallowed hard to stop the tears from coming out. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. It was like she didn't even know herself. Everything she knew about herself was a lie. She wasn't the savior. She was the destroyer.

The Jedi ... Everything they gave her was out of fear. Not because she actually deserved it, but because ... they were afraid of her. She didn't deserve any of the things she was given, but yet, she had them ...

"Did dad know?" She managed to ask, not even looking at him.

"No. that would have been ... a chaotic situation to have ..." Obi-wan quietly replied as he sighed.

"We did not tell you about the reason why Anakin did what he did because we wanted to use you to destroy the darkness ... But I am warning you now because you must be prepared."

"For what? Me dying?" She asked, not caring what he was going to say. Was it worse than what she just heard?

"For what happens inside of you every time a tragedy strikes. When your emotions are tested in ways that you could not imagine."

"Then how am I supposed to prepare for it if I can't imagine it?"

"You are not just anyone, Laetitia. You are the firstborn of the Chosen One with ... a terrifying amount of power ... and with a great potential of darkness." He sadly stated in danger.

"So what? I was so sensitive and angry that the Jedi were afraid I was gonna flip out and kill 'em all?" She asked, crying in disbelief.

"Well, when people like you and Anakin 'flip out' ... the entire Galaxy suffers." Obi-wan pointed out.

Leah looked away and took a moment to remember how to breathe. That was ... sadly true. Every bad thing that has ever happened in the Galaxy since before she was born was her fault.

She was ... the end of happiness and peace.

"What would have happened if mom didn't agree to give me to the Jedi? Would you have kidnapped me? Killed me?" Leah asked.

Obi-wan blinked in shock. It was like he was caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing. He was caught off guard. Ahsoka decided to step in. The temperature suddenly dropped, and it gave her chills.

"Leah ..." Ahsoka asked as she was about to put a hand on her shoulder, but Leah ignored her.

"Would you have?" She demanded coldly.

Obi-wan didn't say anything and just looked down. Leah stared at him, tears coming out and wetting her face. She knew that the Jedi didn't like her, but this was ... too much for her to handle. She felt disgusted and betrayed.

"Oh, my God ... I always knew the Jedi were using me, but I never thought they'd kill me if I ran out of use! Was I that expendable?" She cried out.

"No! You might have been a tool to some of us, but that is not how I feel about you. You are my brother's daughter ... my niece." He softly said.

"I would have never let that happen to you ... which is why I am here now. Anakin was my brother and I loved him, but … emotions were his downfall. I do not want the same thing to happen to you." He advised her.

"Apparently, it already did." She bitterly commented.

Now, it made sense why her dad turned to the dark side. She knew it was to save her, but ... she didn't know that he actually saved her. She didn't know that ... it was her fault that he sold his soul and betrayed everyone he loved.

It was all to save her.

"Just like you saw in your vision, I destroyed the Jedi. My father did it for me ... I was a monster. I could've been if dad didn't sacrifice himself for me ..."

"I understand how you're feeling ..." Obi-wan tried to console her, but Leah rejected it immediately.

"How would you know? You don't even know your father, and you've never loved him! My father sacrificed everyone and everything he had to save me. Instead of thanking him, I condemned him to a fate worse than death! And ..." Leah snapped at him.

She wanted to continue, but she was no able to. She was feeling too many emotions at the same time to say anything. She had already insulted him and broke his heart by mentioning his father.

She didn't want to attack any more people, so she just ran away from Obi-wan and Ahsoka. She really needed to be alone.

After she ran away from her friends, Laetitia found herself in the cave she met Darth Xela. She needed to talk to her. After everything she went through, she was the only one who would tell her the truth ... unfortunately.

"Xela! Come out. I know you're here." Leah called her out.

Nothing happened. No voice was heard. She could hear the sound of her breathing echoing in the cold cave.

"I want to know. Please ..." She quietly cried out.

She didn't want to know ... but she had to. She had to know the who story to make a decision. She didn't know what to do about her father. Maybe, she could help.

Suddenly, a dark figure appeared. Darth Xela was smiling in satisfaction. She loved to see the 'pure' Laetitia broken. She wanted to prove that they were not as different as she said the last time they saw each other.

"You should have lead with that." She smiled.

Leah sighed, her breath shaking. She really wasn't in the mood to play her mind games. She wanted answers.

"Can we cut the crap? I'm serious."

"Oh, so serious. I can see that. It was really about time the Jedi told you the truth. So tell me. How does it feel?" Xela mused.

"Are you deaf? Didn't you just hear what I said?" Leah sharply ignored her.

"Oh, I did. I just decided to ignore you."

Leah inhaled sharply in frustration. It was times like this that she could see the similarity how they could be the same person. They were both too ... 'Skywalker'!

As Darth Xela walked away, a stone appeared on where she was. Laetitia walked slowly to that stone. When she narrowed her eyes, she could swear there was a writing on it ... It was in Sith.

"It's time for you to know who we are." She whispered in her ears.

Leah just looked at the stone, trying to read the vague writing that was in the unknown language.

"Antai kash zo terrible hadzuska sh'jatau tave jidai. Zo berniuk kosh kia walk tave sky ir ardyti tave dirva su nie senelis. M'tye sekleti ardyti tave nw ir nesti chaosas kia tave plejada. M'tye uud tave midwan kia evita natura kad visa m'tye ovas kash vykti lives. M'tye valia buti downfall iv tave jidai ir jok peacekeeperz. M'tye valia buti tave qorit iv visa iv mus. M'tye kash tave Qorit."

Leah took a moment to just understand what she just read. She just knew the basics of the language. She wasn't a professional, like Thexan. He didn't have the time to teach her more than what he already did.

"I don't ..."

"Try to. Translate it." Xela demanded eagerly.

Leah let out an exhale in irritation. If that woman was really Laetitia, she really was stubborn.

"Um ... There is a terrible shadow upon the Jedi ... A child born to walk the sky and destroy the ground with no ... grandfather. He ..." She struggled to translate, but Xela interrupted her.

"Uh-nuh! Do it correctly. Thexan taught you better than that." She stated.

Leah didn't even bother to ask how she knew about Thexan. She figured she wouldn't get an answer out of her, anyway.

"She shall ... destroy the peace and bring chaos to the Galaxy. She has the power to create life ..." She paused when she was getting what the text was saying.

"... But all she does is take lives. She will be downfall of the Jedi and any peacekeepers. She will be ... the end of all of us. She is the End." She finished in horror.

Leah took a step back in shock and numbness. She couldn't see clearly because of the tears in her eyes. She felt so dizzy. That prophecy was about ... her. She was the monster that was mentioned in it. Even the Force was telling everyone to avoid her like plague ... because she was the end.

"Do you get it now? How it's your fault that I'm not here and Darth Vader is?" Xela quietly asked.

Leah didn't even hear her. She was too trapped in her own thoughts. She felt ... disgusted with herself. She was what she wanted to fight. She was the reason why everyone in the Galaxy was suffering. Why her mother died. Why her father ...

"Go." Xela suddenly told her.

Leah blinked in surprise as she jumped out of her thoughts. She was ... shocked to hear that.

"That's it? You're not gonna ... kill me, or something?" She asked.

It was the first time Leah had ever seen Xela hesitate. She was always so ... confident. Now, all she felt from her was conflict and sadness.

"I was going to, and I want to ... but I don't feel like doing it now. It wouldn't be a fair fight." She admitted.

"Since when do you care about justice and fairness?"

"I don't ... I just don't want to give you any future excuses if I kick your ass." She seriously said.

Xela thought she would feel better when she saw Laetitia be tortured from inside, but ... when she actually saw it, she was ... confused. She was still a Sith Lord, there was no doubt. But ... she felt ... sorry for her.

She didn't want to kill her ... At least, not now.

"I'm letting you go now, but the next time we see each other, it will be out of this cave, and bring on your best game. Because I will do my best to kill you and everyone you love." Xela strongly promised her.

Leah nodded. She didn't know if it was possible for her to ever 'live' outside this cave, but ... she had a feeling that she had not seen her last.

Done :)
