Wanda and Frank needed allies to help rescue their children. Andy and Data were off on their seperae mission, so they recruited Daisy and Grant. Daisy had been a hacktivist, then an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., for awhile she was even director, befre giving the reigns of command over to someone she felt was better suited for leadership. Grant had been an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well, but in a seperate world. This was somewhat awkward, in Daisy's world Grant Ward had been Hydra mole who betrayed and murdered their friends. Still, Daisy kept reminding herself that this wasn't the same person, or so he said. He was from a world where Daisy was never even born. Grant remembered things, personal details about his own life. It seemed impossible to verify which details would be the same from two different worlds, and which details would be different. Daisy had her suspicions, but she didn't want to believe it was true. Grant and Daisy had gotten close in Antarctica, they were even falling in love. But still, Daisy had her fears that this Grant Ward, might be the same one who had betrayed S.H.I.E.L.D. all those years ago. If that were the case, he seemed to be trying to atone for his mistakes. There were so many in Antarctica who were seeking redemption, and Daisy didn't want to discourage anyone from trying to do good in this strange new world, and they did need him to help in rescue missions. But, if he were the same Grant Ward, Daisy knew that a relationship with him would be impossible.
