As Brian, Lois, Stewie, and the rest fled from the White Walkers, they didn't realize they were walking on a frozen lake.
Thoros of Myr was lagging behind the rest of the group. Suddenly he tripped and fell. Instantly two of the wights at the head of the pack were upon him. But when they jumped on him, the combined weight of Thoros and the wights smashed through the ice. This caused a chain reaction as the ice across the entire surface of the lake began cracking.
"It's breakin' up!" shouted Tormund.
"What are we gonna do?" cried Gendry.
Jeff saw a large stone island jutting out in the middle of the lake. "This way!" he yelled, running towards it. The others followed him, and they all managed to reach the island just before the ice gave way.
"Jeff, you're a genius," Hayley panted.
"I am? No one's ever called me that before," said Jeff.
All the ice had fallen into the water, and the horde had slowed to a stop on the banks, not wanting to enter the lake.
Brian exhaled. "Well, it looks like they can't get to us now."
"But we can't get away either," said Lois.
The Hound looked at her. "And you're on your last life, now that the red priest is gone."
"And sooner or later, Bill's probably going to show up," said Stewie.
"I'm sorry, guys," said Brian. "This was a dumb idea. Thanks to me, we're all gonna die." He knew he and Stewie could teleport away, but that would be leaving the others in danger.
"Don't blame yourself, Brian," said Lois. "At least I got to see you an' Stewie again. I just wish I could see Meg again."
"Me too," sighed Gendry.
"I guess I'll never get to face off against my brother," said the Hound.
"And I'll never become a knight," said Hayley.
"And I'll never know what it feels like to get kissed by a girl," Jeff lamented.
Hayley turned to him. "I wouldn't be too sure about that."
She leaned in and planted a kiss on his lips!
"Wow!" exclaimed Jeff. "I had no idea you felt that way about me!"
"I didn't either, until now," she confessed.
Just then, the air came alive with the roars of dragons!
Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion appeared in the sky. Dany was riding Drogon and Meg was riding Rhaegal.
The dragons began to attack the army of the dead with their fire. Scores of wights were burned to ashes, but the dragonfire had no effect on the White Walkers.
"Are those dragons?" Tormund exclaimed. "I thought they were all dead!"
"That's Daenerys Targaryen riding the black dragon," Brian told him. "She must have come to save us!"
Lois squinted. "An' is that Meg ridin' the green one?"
Dany and Meg brought Drogon and Rhaegal down to land on the island next to Brian and them, while Viserion continued to provide covering fire from above.
Dany smiled at Brian. "I let you go off for one day and look at the trouble you get yourself into."
"I'm glad you came," said Brian. "You showed up just in time."
"Hey, Mom," said Meg.
Lois's eyes were brimming with tears. "This is wonderful! The Griffins are all together again, what's left of us, anyway."
"No time for family reunions," said Meg. "Quick, climb onto our dragons!"
"Wow, how did you learn to ride a dragon so fast?" Gendry said.
"I never thought I'd be rescued by Meg Griffin of all people," said the Hound.
"Yeah, and if I'd known you were here, I might not have come," said Meg. "But since you're here, we might as well make the most of it. Come on!"
"I never thought I'd be rescued by a creature who breathes fire either," the Hound said. He was reluctant to approach the dragons.
Meg knew about his fear of fire. "Don't worry. They won't hurt you as long as you're with me or Daenerys."
Everyone climbed onto the dragons. Brian, Lois, Stewie and Tormund got on Drogon, while Gendry, Hayley, Jeff, and the Hound got on Rhaegal. Brian ended up right behind Daenerys, which he was pleased about.
As they took off into the air, Brian looked down. The captured wight was still on the ground.
"Oh no!" he groaned. "We forgot about him!"
The other wights seemed to have gotten over their trepidation about water, and they had waded into the freezing lake. Already some of them were stepping onto the shores of the island.
"Too late to go back for him now," said Dany.
"The whole reason we came over here was to catch him!" said Brian.
"Don't worry, I'm on it," said Stewie. He warged into Viserion again. He made Viserion swoop down and scoop up the bound wight in his claws just before the other wights reached him. A White Walker tried to throw an icy javelin at Viserion, but Stewie was able to dodge it and have Viserion fly up to join his brothers.
Then Stewie slipped back into himself.
Dany breathed a sigh of relief. "Phew. I was worried you were gonna get Viserion killed there."
"I would never have let that happen," Stewie assured her.
"Yeah, good thing too," said Brian. "Imagine if the White Walkers actually had killed Viserion. Then he would've become a dragon wight. They might've been able to use him to break the Wall!"
"Well, we've got our captive," said Stewie. "If this doesn't persuade Joffrey to help us, nothing will."
