Chapter 206: The Racing stuff.
(Royal Woods Elementary.)
Lincoln walks out of his mom's car as it arrives to the school. "So, you gonna tell Lols and Lans about the dude who Leni met?" asked Luna.
"Yeah, and I hope things won't be too awkward when I tell them who Kurt Logann is, I mean he sure seems like the kind of guy that the teens back at the High School seems to love, and I could only guess Lola will go through the same thing too" said Lincoln.
Luna chuckles. "Yeah, let's hope it doesn't come to that. The last thing we need, is Lola going back to her old-self and trying to get to someone like Kurt Logann, this could spiral into an ordeal similar with Hugh."
"Yeah, those were days that made things so awkward." Lincoln then goes to Luna and kisses her cheek and gives her a hug. "See you after school mom."
Luna does the same to Lincoln. "You too kiddo."
They depart from the hug and Lincoln closes the car door and he watches as his mom drives off to her High School. He then walks towards the school and sees Lucy talking to Haiku and they wave to him, and he waves back.
'At least things seem fine and calm now.' Then he recalls something. 'Right, we still have this funeral to go to on Saturday, the funeral of Bernard Lewis Sr, and then the whole plan to move the Lewis Mansion to Royal Woods. This weekend is gonna be so intense and possibly epic too.'
Lincoln walks into the school and he sees Rusty and Liam talking to each other about the cafeteria lunch menu which are Tuna sandwiches and it seems like they need to try and break it easy to Zach, he won't like this.
Lincoln then sees Clyde talking to Chloe about something they plan to change for tomorrow's lunch menu, and they even sound like they're planning on a date, which is something Lincoln smiles too. 'Making a move Clyde? Nice.'
Then the snow-haired boy spots the twins he's been looking for. "Lana, Lola." He walks towards them and the Johnson Twins see the boy and wave to him.
"Hi Lincoln." They walk towards him. "So, we had a fun time at the party the other day and we even got to meet our grandma and she seems nice, we don't really know why mom doesn't want her around the house or the town" said Lana.
"She won't even tell us and says that the whole thing is personal" said Lola. "But, I am seeing some signs of annoying things going on between them."
Lincoln does recall hearing Mrs. Johnson complaining sometimes. "Yeah, most of the time I stay out of it and it's best you guys do the same. Mrs. Johnson talking about her mom is something not to get involved, but be there when she needs support."
"We will Lincoln" replied the twins. "So, how was the visit to Lori? How did it go with her and this Sasha person?" asked Lola.
They then walk down the halls. "Well, Lori's done with Sasha and the reason why is kinda dark, sad and also mean and…." Lincoln calms down. "Sorry, I really, really hate Sasha Alabaman and her…. Yeah, I'm not gonna say anymore."
Lola and Lana can tell that whatever happened when Lincoln and the others visited Lori, could only spell that it was a total disaster. At least they weren't involved with it. They decide not to ask any further about that subject.
"So, we have some good news for you!" said Lana.
Lincoln looks to the twins and seems happy to hear this. "Oh, what is it?"
"This!" Lana shows Lincoln then flier and he reads it.
"Sign up now for the Royal Woods Go-Kart Grand Prix." Lincoln smiles. "Huh, this sounds kina interesting and I could only assume you are gonna compete."
"Not just her" said Lola. "This whole thing is a team effort and I am gonna be there to help my twin out. We already have the plans for the Go-Kart and we talked to our mom and she said she's fine with it and as long as she's there to watch over us as we go through the Go-Kart thing."
"Awesome, but what the heck is…." Lincoln is surprised by the prize. "A ride with superstar racer Bobbie Fletcher?"
"Yup!" said Lana with excitement. "And I'm gonna be the gal who gets to ride with her! We are so gonna win and have fun, and as the flier said, we have to make our own Go-Kart's, which means no way to heck am I gonna be some lame rich kid to buy a Go-Kart."
"From what I read, Go-Kart's back then were made by hand with blood, sweat and tears and I got plenty of it, and so we're gonna do it the old-fashioned way and make it by hand."
Lincoln looks towards Lola. "I'm cool with it. Lana needs help and I'll be there for her."
Lincoln then realizes something. "There's something I need to tell you guys. You recall an incident when I was attacked somewhere from Chandler?"
The twins are confused by what he just said. "No."
That part he did not see coming, but it made sense since they didn't have time to know the news about Lincoln and the attack from Chandler, and so he decides to tell Lana and Lola.
(One explanation later.)
The twins are shocked, Lana on the other hand is wide eyed and jaws dropped. Lincoln looks to her. "Are you okay Lana?" Then Lana faints. "Okay, saw that one coming." He then hears the bell ring.
Lola then drags her twin. "We can talk later, Lincoln. We need to get to class now." she then drags her sister away, and then she gets help from Meli Ramos.
Lincoln chuckles. "Well, that happened." He then walks down the hall to get to his class.
(Cafeteria.)
The classes in the day are done and everyone is getting their lunch on, even though most aren't a fan of the Tuna sandwiches and are glad they brought their own lunch.
Now normally Lincoln would be sitting with his friends, but this time he's sitting with Lola and Lana and talking to them, the others are fine with it and right now Clyde is once again redirecting lunch trade traffic.
Lincoln then asks. "So, what else do you guys need to know from me?"
"Well, for starters, did you ask Bobbie Fletcher about her next race?" asked Lana excitedly.
Lincoln tries to recall. "Sorry Lans, but I haven't spoken to her in a long, long time and to be honest, we haven't spoken since last year. But chances she'll know me when she shows up for the Go-Kart Grand Prix."
Lana felt a bit disappointed by that, but she shrugs it off and smiles. "That's okay, and even if you do know Bobbie Fletcher that's cool. I wanna earn that spot to ride with her, and not get her attention just because you know her, because I wanna be fair."
Lincoln smiles hearing that. "That's the spirit Lana." Then he sees Lola raise her hand. "Yeah? Also, I'm not a teacher."
"Sorry, Lincoln. But, I wanna know if you guys looked up on the guy who Leni is planning to see. Any clues to who he is and what he does, besides being a Rookie Racecar driving person?" said Lola.
Lincoln saw this one coming and so he tells them about the information the teens got on the guy.
(One explanation later.)
Lincoln then shows them the pic and Lana is impressed by his car, but Lola on the other hand has her eyes locked onto the guy driving the car, and then she faints.
"Lola?" Lana goes over and checks on her. Then Meli Ramos and Lucy come to see if she's alright.
Lincoln on the other hand chuckles. "Yeah, so this one coming too." He is unaware that the girls from Jordan's crew saw the pic and are all having crushes on this racecar driving guy named, Kurt Logann.
Jordan sees this and snaps her fingers. "Girls, that guy is attracted to Leni, no use getting his attention. Also, you're all younger than him."
The girls sigh in frustration and say one thing. "Dang it." They don't know that the boys: Trent, Lance, Artie and Liam don't seem amused of the girls: Kat, Joy, Cookie and Tabby fawning for this guy. Just because this dude drives a racecar and seems awesome….. Yeah, he is a pretty cool dude.
But they forget that this is how the girls felt when they fawn over Ms. Dimartino. Seriously?
(After classes.)
Classes are done and everyone walks out of the school and all get ready for what else is to come on the following day, then Lincoln walks out of the school with his group of friends and they all begin to talk about the whole thing that Lincoln knows about this rookie racer named, Kurt Logann.
Though the girls try their best not to fawn over the information about this rookie racecar driver, they are upset that Leni met him and now Kurt is into her.
Lola and Lana notice this and Lana looks to Lola. "Sis, you do know that guy is seeing Leni, right?"
Lola sighs. "I know, I know. It's just that… He's super hunky and so cool, and everything about him is just so impressive. Leni is so lucky to find someone like him."
Lana sighs in annoyance. "I can tell this is gonna be like the time we all fell for Hugh."
"You fell for him too" protested Lola.
"Yeah, but that was back then. The crush I got is someone else, and another person who's older than me and… Well, you know who she is" replied Lana nervously.
Lola knows, but she won't say it. She knows that Lana still has a crush on the boy named, Skippy and the other crush is on Racecar legend Bobbie Fletcher. But, she won't blabber it out.
They watch as Lincoln waves to them and then he goes into Luna's car and they drive off back to the Loud House. The twins go over to the bench and then Lana recalls something. "I think Lincoln has plans on Saturday with a funeral, along with Luna."
"Yeah, I heard that one from Lucy, but she didn't tell me about whose funeral it was and what they have planned, but I think Pop-pop is gonna be there as well" replied Lola.
That name really did remind them of their maternal grandfather, then Lana and Lola recall another thing. "Right, Pop-pop is gonna come see us tomorrow" said Lana. "Kinda surprised mom would let him see us."
Lola places a hand on her twins shoulder. "We might not be related to him anymore, but he's still family and he sees us as family too. So, when tomorrow comes, let's make the most of it and be happy we can spend time with him."
"Yeah, you think we can one day go and visit the old home?" asked Lana. She seemed curious.
Lola is nervous about that one. "I'm not sure Lans. We'd have to ask Lincoln and Luna about that. In the meantime, let's run back on those blueprints of the Go=Kart that you wanted to make."
The twins grab the blueprints from Lana's bag and they look into what they can do to make the Go-Kart look and move faster and better, they got a Go-Kart grand prix to win next week.
A/N: We're closing into Saturday with the big funeral and mansion teleporting plan, and let's not forget next week which will be the chapter based off the episode "Wheels and Deals." Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
