Once again, Sesshoumaru encountered the new sensation. He wasn't sure whether to call it invitation or enticement, but this time, instead of studying the phenomenon, he submitted to it.
Immediately, he tasted the transcendence he'd been seeking. And this time, Kagome's soft gasp told him she was sharing the heady phenomenon.
Lest she pull away, he whispered, "Do not stop."
She submitted. Much as he had done.
And they were rewarded.
Sesshoumaru immersed himself in the blend of simmering curiosity and breathless calm, feeling mildly obtuse. This woman. He wished to keep her close.
Which meant he had a wish.
