Things have escalated in the war. Not only is Magnolia being attacked, but David Vest has decided to attack the injured Fairy Tail wizards. They would have been in trouble if Shae and Michael didn't show up. It's a good thing that they did because it looks like their giving David a good fight.

"Okay." David said as he got up. "You two may have caught me by surprise, but I assure you that I won't be defeated so easily."

"Give it your best shot." Michael said. "We can take anything you throw at us."

"You tell him, Michael. That's why you're Sting's son." Lector said.

"It is. I thought Sting had a child because..." Lector quickly covered Frosch's mouth before Frosch could really say anything.

"Hey! Be careful!" Ul said. "The source of his power is that book he's holding. There's no telling how many of those beasts he has."

"The book?" Michael said.

"So it's a type of holder magic?" Shae questioned.

"That's right." David said as he held the book close to him. "Archive of Pandemonium. That is the true name of the magic I use. In these pages are mighty beasts that are mine to command."

"Sounds simple enough." Michael said. "All we've got to do is get that stupid book and we win."

"Maybe we can have the scary monsters fight for us." Frosch said.

"That's not really a bad idea." Lector said.

"You can try, but you'll have to pry this book from my cold dead hand." David said. "I be dead before I let you even touch this grimoire. Lord Ankhselam himself gave me this book. Besides, even if you do manage to get this book away from me, the beasts inside obey only me. Much like celestial wizards enter a contract with their spirits, I too have signed a contract with the beasts inside...sign in my blood."

"Your blood?!" Shae said.

"Yes. My blood has smeared these pages." David said. "Thanks to that, the beasts that lie within these pages will obey only me until my death. Allow me to show you! Come, Brendi the Shapeless Shadow!" He summoned another creature, a large shadow that emerged behind him and it had a face.

"His summoning magic is insane!" Carla said.

"I've never seen anything like it!" Wendy said. Brendi reached out and grabbed a hold of Michael and Shae.

"What is this thing?!" Michael said.

"I can't break free." Shae said.

"How many of those things does he have?" Eve said.

'He has an entire book filled with monsters? How do you fight someone who has something like this?' Romeo questioned. David is proving his worth with him having a whole nest of monsters and beasts in the palm of his hand.

"I told you I wouldn't be defeated so easily." David said. "Michael and Shae are your names, right? You're from a guild called Sabertooth? Oh, wait. I've heard of that guild. You're part of a pitiful guild that was ruled by a tyrant named Jiemma. That was back when you were considered the strongest in Fiore. Not anymore from what I heard. If Fairy Tail can't beat us, what hope does mediocre guild like you have?"

"Shut your mouth!" Shae said.

"No one trash talks our guild." Michael said as he tried to break free.

"I've got this." Shae said. He inhaled through his mouth and Brendi was being pulled in. David couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Is he actually eating Brendi?!" David questioned. Shae was able to completely swallow the shadow monster with him and Michael getting free.

"You can have it back. Shadow Dragon Roar!" Shae unleashed his breath attack and it had more power to it. David appeared to have gotten swallowed up by the attack, almost like he was being attacked by his own beast.

"Did you get him?" Michael questioned.

"We'll find out soon enough." Shae said as they all waited for the smoke to clear away. Before it did, they saw a light coming from it. They braced themselves for anything. What came out of the smoke was a swarm of glowing and large insects.

"Now what?!" Michael said.

"What are those things?" Shae said. The swarm flew around the two of them. One landed on each of them and actually exploded, dealing damage to the two of them.

"They exploded?!" Carla said.

"How?! What's going on?" Wendy said. David walked through the smoke and was enjoying the sight.

"What do you think of my Destructive Swarm: Kamichi." David said. "They are quite the dangerous insects. They explode in mere seconds upon contact." More of the insects were landing on the boys and causing damage to them.

"That's it. I can't stand and watch this!" Wendy said.

"Yeah. We've got your back." Romeo said as all of them were ready to jump in the fight.

"Don't!" Michael said and got them to stop. "We can handle this."

"We came out here to help Fairy Tail." Shae said. "There's a bigger threat going on in Magnolia. You need to save your strength for the greater battles."

"But we can't just stand here and watch you get beaten around." Asuka said.

"We're fine. We can handle it." Michael said as he tried to stay strong.

"Do you really think so?" David said as he called on Breh again. He launched his cobra at the two of them and smashed it against both of them as the insects kept exploding against them. It didn't take long until they were knocked to the ground. "You can act as tough as you wish, but the last laugh appears to belong to me." He had that laugh as he believe he's won against both of them.

Simon and Sasha

Simon and Sasha were on their way to help in the fight in Magnolia. They were just feet away from entering, but they were attacked and surrounded by Aelita and her subordinates before they got in. They were surrounded by the four of them with Aelita hanging back. Simon kept his eyes on Aelita. He could sense her vast amount of magic power and could just tell she was one of The Ten.

"Simon, listen." Sasha said as they were back-to-back. "I'll take care of these four. You take care of the woman back there."

"Are you sure? Do you think you can take on all four of them by yourself?" Simon said.

"I'll be fine. Taking down all ten of those guys is a higher priority." Sasha said. Simon didn't want to leave Sasha to face four strong opponents at once, but they can't waste time on them.

"Okay." Simon said. He used Meteor and flew past the girls as he went for Aelita.

"Oh no you don't!" Apaki said as she was about to go and stop him.

"Wait." Aelita said and Apaki stopped. Simon came down at her with a pair of swords, but Aelita was able to caught them with her fingers. Simon was surprised by what she just did. He sent the swords away and moved away from her. He could tell she was no ordinary opponent.

"How dare you even try attack Lady Aelita!" Apaki said as she was going to fight him, but Aelita held out her hand and ordered Apaki to stop.

"I'll take care of this one." Aelita said.

"But..." Apaki said as she didn't like it. She didn't think Aelita should be wasting her time with the likes of Simon.

"Apaki!" Aquia called. Apaki turned around, but was met with a kick to the face by Sasha. Sasha pulled out her bazooka and aimed it at Aquia. She fired at her, as well as Tammera and Silis, but the three of them moved out of the way.

"Does she really think she can take on all four of us at once?" Tammera questioned.

"I've heard these Fairy Tail wizards are brave, but they don't seem to be very rational." Silis said. Apaki pushed herself up and tried to strike Sasha with fire, but Sasha jumped out of the way.

"We got her!" Aquia said as she and Silis attacked Sasha with blades of water and wind, but Sasha jumped out of the way as the two attacks crashed against each other. Sasha kept her eyes on all four of them and saw what she was up against.

'I get it. Each one of them utilizes the four elements.' Sasha thought. "Well, I do like a challenge." Sasha might have a tough time, but Simon will have an even worse time. He had to ready himself for anything. Does he even have what it takes to bring Aelita down?

The Med Camp

David had Michael and Shae on the ropes. His relentless attacks were starting to do a number on them. Fairy Tail wanted to join in the fight, but they keep telling them no.

"They're going to be okay, right?" Frosch asked.

"Yeah. That's why they don't want Fairy Tail to join in." Lector said, but he was getting anxious himself.

"You two fought bravely, but it looks like victory shall be mine." David said.

"Oh yeah? That's what you think." Michael said.

"And what makes you think that you can still win?" David questioned.

"Like this!" Shae said as he became a shadow. David didn't expect that. Shae went right at him and smashed himself against David. David's ruined concentration caused the creatures to return to where they came from.

"You were just baiting me to drop my guard?!" David said.

"Something like that." Shae said as he blasted David with his shadows. Michael jumped in as he had light surround his foot and kicked David with it. David was sent flying as he was smashed through a tree.

"Looks like we really had nothing to worry about." Asuka said as they were impressed with their strength.

"They're amazing!" Ul said.

"I think so too!" Frosch said.

"Willing to take damage to deal even more to me? Such tenacity." David said as he was having trouble getting back up.

"Had enough?" Michael said.

"I have. I've had enough of the lot of you!" David said as he was setting to end this. "Come, Djinnear the Towering Fiend!" He summoned out his living tower as it emerged out of the ground, with even more arms. It grabbed a hold of Michael and Shae with the Fairy Tail wizards. Lector and Frosch were able to avoid getting caught, but it wasn't looking good for them.

"What is this?!" Michael said.

"I can't slip away!" Shae said.

"Not this again!" Ul said as she and Eve knew what was going to happen.

"There is no escape from Djinnear's power!" David said as he held out his arms. "He rises to the sky to send all of you to the great beyond!"

"No!" Michael said as it seemed like this could be it for them. David laughed at his victory, but the exceeds weren't going to let it happen so easily. Lector flew over and grabbed the book.

"That's enough! Give me that stupid book!" Lector said as he tried to pull it right out of his hands.

"How dare you lay your filthy paws on it!" David said as he tried to pull it away from Lector. The struggle was affecting Djinnear as it appeared to be fading.

"Look! It's weakening! It must require a lot of concentration." Shae said.

"I've got this." Michael said as he held out his hand. "I just need to focus a little." Michael concentrated as much magic as he could and fired a small beam. It hit David right in the arm and that allowed Lector to take the book.

"I got it!" Lector said.

"No!" David said. Since he wasn't holding the book anymore, Djinnear faded away.

"Frosch, give me a lift!" Shae said.

"Okay!" Frosch said as he flew up and grabbed Shae by the back. They flew straight at David to finish this fight. David could see where this was going and it wasn't good for him. "Shadow Dragon Slash!" Shae gave a powerful slash against David. David was hit hard by the attack and it knocked him right out. Fairy Tail was saved and this part of pandemonium was over.
