Thanks to Hello and MonalisaRomano17 for reviewing.
I am so sorry this is a few days late. We have deadlines coming up and I had a few other distractions and in general I'm in a near-constant state of exhaustion, so I couldn't finish this chapter on time, the same with Broken Masquerade. I'll try to make sure it doesn't happen again this weekend.
Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia.
MolTai: Hiking Trip
"This is nice," Mei commented.
"Yeah," Jason agreed. "Especially without everyone else around."
They knew that it was probably a bad idea, but they didn't care. They were supposed to be on a hiking trip with their class, but they hung back because they wanted to spend their time together alone. Mei had a backpack in which she kept both their water bottles, and they had their cell phones with them, but not much else. They could still see their classmates at the back of the group, but it would take a while to catch up to them.
Jason had been looking ahead, but swivelled around when he heard Mei cry out. He found her on the ground and clutching her ankle. Jason crouched down beside her.
"Are you okay?" he asked, hands hovering over her upper arms.
"I twisted my ankle," she said. "Fuck, this hurts."
Jason would have snorted in any under situation, but now it wasn't appropriate. But still, it was the first time that he'd heard Mei swear, who would often scold him about his own swearing. But considering the circumstances, he supposed that it was understandable.
"Can you stand?" he asked.
He helped Mei up, and he released her for a moment to see if she could carry her own weight before she yelped and fell towards him again. She released a few curses again, and Jason was surprised that someone that didn't like swearing would even know those words.
"Lean on me," Jason instructed.
They tried to have Mei walk with Jason's support, but she didn't seem to even be able to walk like that, so they needed to think of a new idea.
"Get on my back," Jason instructed.
He stood slightly hunched over with his back facing her. There was a slight hesitation, but soon enough Mei's arms were wrapped around Jason's neck and her weight was on his back. He had to take a moment to regain his balance before he started walking. He had to be extra careful not to stumble, since he didn't want Mei to get hurt more than she already was.
It took them about an hour before they saw one of the teachers coming down, most likely to check on them because they noticed that the two of them weren't there. The teacher came to a stop and processed the situation.
"What happened?" he demanded.
"Mei twisted her ankle," Jason explained.
"Alright. I'll help you two get back down. It's going to be easier then. The rest of the class will be coming down soon."
Jason nodded and accepted the teacher's help. Later, he would tease Mei about her swearing. And he would make sure that he was standing far enough from her and that she had nothing that she could throw within arms' reach.
The original prompt was: 'Imagine person A of your OTP hearing person B swear for the first time.' The rest of the story just came to me, inspired by the first word that wanted to escape the last time I sprained my ankle.
