Episode 352: Bibarel Gnaws Best
After a few days came and went since Sora caught a Spiritomb that has been trapped in and odd keystone for five hundred years. They kept their eyes open for any DIgimon that could cause some trouble for anyone.A young trainer comes strolling through the woods, searching for a challenge. With him is a small round, ghostly creature with a plasma-based body. Its vibrant, orange body mass is spherical with a long, spike-shaped, antenna-like feature atop its head, and a small, round orb on its underside. It is enveloped in a glowing aura of cyan-bluish plasma, with lightning bolt-shaped appendages on either side of its lower body. It has blue eyes and a small grinning mouth. He spotted Sora and he smiled.
"What do you think, Rotom? The guy with the spiky hair and Pikachu looks like a challenge. What do you think?" The trainer asked.
"Rotom!" Rotom answered with a smile. Rotom went to an old microwave and possessed it. Rotom gained red eyes and a red aura. Rotom jumped ahead of the trainer and landed right in front of the group.
"What the?!" Everyone exclaimed. Rotom fires Overheat right at the group, making them duck oout of the way.
"Hey, what's the gag?! Pikachu! Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu obliged his trainer and launched a Thunderbolt right at Rotom and shocked it. Rotom came out of the microwave and laughed. "Huh?"
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Veemon asked.
"I don't believe it. It's a Rotom," Terra said.
"Rotom?" Ventus asked. "Cool." Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned the Pokémon.
Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon
Type: Electric/Ghost
Rotom's whole body is made entirely out of plasma. Rotom takes control of different machines to play all sorts of pranks on people. Rotom's Type changes on which machine it takes control over.
"Wow, a Pokémon that can take control of different machines," Sora said.
"Where did this Rotom come from?" Kairi asked.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Hey there!" The trainer called out as he approached the group. "This Rotom is mine. Rotom just likes to play pranks on new people."
"Rotom, tom," Rotom said.
"I can understand that. If I'm right, that would be a Heat Rotom, right?" Aqua asked.
"That's right. Heat Rotom is an Electric Type and a Fire Type Pokémon. Sorry that my Rotom scared you like that. It was my idea," the trainer said.
"Just be careful with who you play pranks on, becasue someone could have a misunderstanding about it," Terra said.
"And not one of them is going to be laughing about it," Meowth said. The trainer got wide-eyed when he heard Meowth talking.
"Hey! A talking Meowth! So cool!" The trainer exclaimed.
"Yes, he talks," Sora said.
"Anyway, where are you eading?" The trainer asked.
We're on our way to Veilstone City for a Gym battle," Sora said.
"How many Gym Badges did you win?" The trianer asked.
"Three," Sora said, showing him his three Gym Badges. The trainer gave off an impressed whistle.
"That's the Relic Badge. I'm going to guess you beat Fantina. You have to be freakishly good if you won that from her," the trainer said.
"She was challenging; I mean, very challenging," Sora said.
"I know what you mean. I kept asking her for a Gym battle and I end up getting creamed every time I do. So, I've been working with Rotom to get it done," the trainer said.
"Tom," Rotom said.
"So, I figured I would like to challenge you to a battle. It'll help me get my game on for my rematch with her," the trainer said. Sora smiled and nodded.
"Sure. I could use some training for my fourth Gym battle. What's your name, by the way?" Sora asked.
"Ian," the trainer responded. "Would it be okay that we battled using one Pokémon each?"
"Sure thing. There's one I caught recently and I want to test it out in battle," Sora said.
"Send any one you got, because I'll be using my Rotom," Ian said.
"Ro!" Rotom said.
"Fine with me," Sora said, taking out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go! Spritomb!" The Pokéball opened and Spiritomb came out to battle. Ian was very impressed.
"A Spiritomb. That's a rare Pokémon you got there. But my Rotom will give you such a hard time. Isn't that right, Rotom?" Ian asked as Rotom nodded. "Okay, Rotom! Microwave!" Rotom heads for the Microwave and became Heat Rotom. Sora knew this will be Spiritomb's very first battle with Sora. "Wanna make the first move, dude?"
"Sure thing. Spiritomb! Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered. Spiritomb fires Dark Pulse right at Heat Rotom.
"Rotom! Dodge and use Overheat!" Ian ordered. Rotom dodged and fires Overheat.
"Spritomb! Block that with Hyper Beam!" Sora ordered. Spritomb fires Hyper Beam and it blocks Overheat. The two of them holds on until an exlplosion occurs between the two. "Heat Rotom, huh." Sora took out his Pokédex to look it up.
Heat Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon
Type: Electric/Fire
This Rotom has possessed a convection microwave oven that uses a special motor. It also has a flair for manipulating flames. This form of Rotom enjoys making mischief by turning up the heat. It will gleefully burn your favorite outfit.
"I wonder what else Rotom can do?" Sora asked.
"Overheat again!" Ian ordered. Heat Rotom fires Overheat right towards Spiritomb. It was a little weaker than the first one since Overheat weakens from every use. Also, Spiritomb couldn't move because of Hyper Beam was used. "Okay, Rotom! Time to go for a wash!" Sora was confused by what he said. The same for Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon. Rotom came out of the microwave and went over to an old washing machine and took it over. It gains blue eyes and a blue aura.
"What now?" Ventus asked.
"Now, it's Wash Rotom," Aqua said. Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned it.
Wash Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon
Type: Electric/Water
This Rotom has possessed a washing machine that uses a special motor. It blasts out water to get enemies to back down. This form of Rotom enjoys coming up with water-based pranks. Be careful with it if you don't want your room flooded.
"That's what he meant by go for a wash," Sora said.
"Rotom! Use Hydro Pump!" Ian ordered. Wash Rotom fires Hydro Pump right at Spiritomb.
"Dodge it, Spiritomb!" Sora ordered. Spiritomb avoids it by floating in the air. "Dark Pulse!" Spiritomb fires Dark Pulse right at the plasma Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Discharge!" Ian ordered. Wash Rotom fires Discharge and lands a hit onto Spiritomb. "Now, it's time to cool down Spiritomb!" Rotom came out of the washing machine and went into an old refrigerator. Rotom gained purple eyes and a purple aura.
"Now, what?" Sora asked, taking out his Pokédex again.
Frost Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon
Type: Electric/Ice
Rotom assumes this form when it takes over a refrigerator powered by a special motor. It battles by spewing cold air. When it's like this, Rotom likes to play pranks that are freezing cold. You may find it's turned the bath you just filled to solid ice!
"Brr," Sora said, putting his Pokédex away. "Spiritomb! Shadow Ball!" Spiritomb fires Shadow Ball right at Frost Rotom.
"Blizzard!" Ian ordered. Frost Rotom fires Blizzard when it opened its doors and struck Spiritomb, making it cold.
"How come Rotom keeps doing that?" Gabumon asked.
"I think I know why. He knows his Rotom has a weakness to Dark Type attacks, so by jumping into different machines, it gets rid of that weakness," Terra said.
"But by doing that, it's getting rid of its immunity to Normal and Fighting Type moves by jumping into them," Aqua said.
"That means, Hyper Beam and Giga Impact will have an effect on them," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Spiritomb! Hyper Beam!" Sora ordered. Spiritomb fires Hyper Beam and Frost Rotom avoids Hyper Beam.
"Nice dodge, Rotom! Now, let's give Spiritomb a nice breeze," Ian said. Rotom came out the refrigerator and went into an old fan. Rotom gains yellow eyes and a yellow aura. Sora took his Pokédex out again.
Fan Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon
Type: Electric/Flying
This Rotom has taken over a fan that has a special motor. Its gusts of wind blow its opponents away! In this form, Rotom applies its new power over wind to its love of pranks. It will happily blow away any important documents it can find.
"How many forms does one Pokémon have?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Rotom! Use Air Slash!" Ian ordered. Fan Rotom fires Air Slash by spinning the blades in its fan form. Spiritomb got struck hard.
"Giga Impact!" Sora ordered. Spiritomb heads right towards Fan Rotom and lands a hit before Fan Rotom could dodge. This forces Rotom out.
"Rotom, time to mow the lawn!" Ian said. Rotom heads for an old lawnmower and took it over. It gains green eyes and a green aura. It also has lawnmower teeth as well.
"Okay, I'm going to guess this one's a Grass Type," Sora said, taking out his Pokédex again.
Mow Rotom, the Plasma Pokémon
Type: Electric/Grass
This is Rotom after it's seized control of a lawn mower that has a special motor. As it mows down grass, it scatters the clippings everywhere. In this form, Rotom focuses its antics on plants. Any flowers you were growing are going to get mowed down.
"Called it!" Sora proclaimed.
"And that makes all five forms," Terra said.
"Hard to believe something that looks so harmless can cause problems so huge," Palmon said.
"Okay, Rotom! Leaf Storm!" Ian ordered. Mow Rotom whips up a bunch of leaves and sends it right towards Spiritomb. It struck Spiritomb hard on the mark.
"Man, that Rotom is very slippery. How can I get a good lock on it when it keeps changing machines?" Sora asked. He then gets an idea. He looked at the previous machines and he knew what he had to do. "Spritomb! Dark Pulse!" Spiritomb fires Dark Pulse.
"Rotom! Dodge it!" Ian called out. Mow Rotom drives as it cuts some grass in its path. Mow Rotom avoids Dark Pulse with great speed. "Now, let's heat things up." Rotom comes on out of the lawnmower and started to head for the microwave. Sora smirked.
"Knew you'd try that," Sora said. Ian gasped. "Spiritomb! Dark Pulse on that microwave!" Spritomb fire right at the microwave and destroys it. Rotom and Ian were stunned to see it busted. "Now, use Shadow Ball on the lawnmower, the fridge, the fan, and the washer!" Spiritomb fires Shadow Balls right on the other machines and it destroys them all one by one.
"Oh no! He sunk my battle plan!" Ian gasped.
"Now, use Dark Pulse on Rotom!" Sora ordered. Rotom fires Dark Pulse and it struck Rotom on the spot and does some heavy damage due to its weakness to Dark Type attacks.
"Rotom!" Ian gasped. "Okay, Rotom! Use Shock Wave!" Rotom fires Shock Wave right at the forbidden Pokémon.
"Spiritomb! Block with Dark Pulse!" Sora ordered. Spiritomb fires Dark Pulse and it blocks Shock Wave. An explosion occurs between the two of them. Spiritomb is still standing and so is Rotom.
"Wow, not bad. Rotom! Use Discharge!" Ian ordered. Rotom fires Discharge right at Spiritomb.
"Dodge and use Shadow Ball!" Sora ordered. Spiritomb fires a powerful Shadow Ball and it struck Rotom. Rotom took a pretty bad hit and fell backwards. Rotom had benn taken down at last. Ian was at a loss for words. He went up to his Rotom and picked it up in his arms.
"Are you okay, Rotom?" Ian asked.
"Tom," Rotom responded sadly.
"Don't feel bad about losing. You were awesome," Ian said. Rotom was floating back in the air as Ian and Rotom went up to Sora and Spiritomb. "That was an awesome battle. You took down my sectret weapon."
"Well, I'll have to admit, the way your Rotom kept jumping in one machine after another was pretty cool," Sora said.
"Thanks. And congrats on pulling that trick on me. Fantina saw through my strategy a lot faster than you did. I guess that's been my problem. I was relying on one method," Ian said.
"I know you'll get it, Ian. Just keep on trying," Sora said. Ian smiled.
"Thanks, dude. And before I forget, the Gym Leader there goes by the name of Maylene and she uses Fighting Type Pokémon," Ian said.
"Why are you telling me?" Sora asked.
"I figured you deserve to know. Consider it a small reward for that great match you gave me. And for the record, that is an awesome Spiritomb you've got," Ian complimented. Spiritomb beamed being called awesome.
"Thanks. I only had him for a few days and I already knew how tough he was," Sora said. Sora and Ian shook hands and wished each other luck in their Gym battles. A little while later, Kairi lets Bidoof out to do some training as has let out Hippopotas.
"Bidoof! Hyper Fang!" Kairi ordered. Bidoof started to use Hyper Fang to chew on some logs.
"Hippopotas! Sand Tomb!" Sora ordered. Hippopotas unleashes Sand Tomb and he has created a sandy trap all around him. Sora was very proud of the hippo Pokémon for his progress. "That was very good, Hippopotas."
"Hippo," Hippopotas said.
"You said, Bidoof," Kairi also prasied. Bidoof kept on chewing and chewing when she started evolving. Kairi was totally surprised by the sudden evolution. Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the DIgimon were also surprised. Bidoof had then became a Bibarel. Kairi's newly evolved Bibarel has a smaller face stamp than the one they saw before. "Bidoof, you're a Bibarel now."
"Bibarel," the beaver Pokémon said. Bibarel went for a tree and started to chew on it. The tree then started to come down. The sound of the tree crashing startles the bird Pokémon nearby. Even the Hoothoot and Noctowl sleeping in the trees were spooked by sound of the crashing tree.
"I knew Bidoof was getting closer to evolve, but isn't what I was expecting," Kairi said.
"Bibarel are hard-working Pokémon, so it's bto be expected of a beaver Pokémon," Aqua said.
"Also, I think Bibarel might have learned how to use Water Gun. Give it a try," Sora suggested.
"Okay. Bibarel! Water Gun!" Kairi ordered. Bibarel fires Water Gun and it was raining down from the sky. It was like rain coming down on a sunny day.
"That was impressive," Gabumon said.
"So now, Bibarel's a Water Type, so now Bibarel can now use Water Type attacks," Ventus said.
"You're right, Ven. Bibarel would be very useful on the Contest floor," Meowth said.
"I think you might be right, Meowth. Maybe, Bibarel will in my next Contest," Kairi said.
"Barel," Bibarel said.
It was settled. They continued on to Veilstone City. Terra checked the map on how to get there.
"So, how will we get to Veilstone City, Terra?" Hawkmon asked.
"According to the map, to make it through Veilstone City from here, we'll have to go through Mount Coronet. And according to the information, it's the only place in the Sinnoh region that can make the evolution of a Nosepass and Magneton possible since it is said to have a powerful magnetic field. And then, we will make our way to Solaceon City. And from there, we head down this way to Veilstone City," Terra said.
"Okay, our first stop is on Mount Coronet. That's where we'll have my Magneton evolve into a Magnezone," Sora said.
"But we have plenty of Thunder Stones, Sora," Kairi pointed out.
"I know. But wouldn't it be fun to have Magneton evolve there at least?" Sora asked. Kairi smiled and agreed.
"You have a point there, Sora. We can do that," Kairi said. Sora took out his Pokémon Box and he exchanged Hippopotas for Magneton since he wanted to his Magneton to evolve there. A they all headed towards Mount Coronet, they weren't aware of Lucemon watching from a distance.
"Mount Coronet, huh? I must tell this to SkullKnightmon posthaste," Lucemon said as he vanished.
Lucemon returned to SkullKnightmon with the news he received.
"Mount Coronet, you say?" SkullKnightmon asked.
"Indeed, SkullKnightmon. Agumon and his friends are heading there as we speak," Lucemon said.
"This is useful to me. I will send Giromon after them. He may be small, but the proves to be a threat," SkullKnightmon said. SkullKnightmon calls forth a tiny Digimon that looks like a naval mine with bull horns and has a small bomb in his left hand and a chainsaw in the other.
"You rang?" The tiny Digimon asked.
"I did, Giromon. Agumon and his forces are heading towards a place called Mount Coronet. I need you to ensure that they do not get there," SkullKnightmon instructed. Giromon nodded.
"Yes, sir," Giromon said, carrying on with his mission.
"Girmon will fail his objective, but it's a small price to pay. He, like Anomalocarimon are expendable. I have plenty of others at my disposal," SkullKnightmon said.
Back to Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon, they took a shortcut to get to Mount Coronet when they spotted a bridge, but it was under construction.
"Man, some shortcut, Terra said.
"Okay, I was sure it was done by now," Terra said.
"You knew about this bridge, Terra?" Aqua asked.
"Yeah. That's why I suggested we take this way," Terra said.
"Hey, somehting is happening!" Agumon said. They saw it was two men and a woman on the brigde. They were having a dispute of some kind.
"What's going on?" Ventus asked. The man who appears to be the foreman steps forward.
"We better get over there now!" Veemon said. All of the other Digimon agreed and headed right over to the unfinished bridge.
"Guys! Wait up!" Kairi called after them.
"So, what are you going to do about this? You know there's no time left!" The foreman said.
"Uh, I know," the woman said.
"Stop right there!"Agumon shouted, getting their attention. They stood there angrily and ready to go.
"Guys! Stop right there!" Sora said.
"You kids should know better than to hang around here!" The foreman said.
"Sorry, but we were about to turn around when our friends here rushed off," Sora said.
"We rushed in because this guy was putting her in danger!" Agumon argued.
"I put her in?" The foreman growled.
"You're making a mistake. The foreman, the mayor and I were simply in the middle of a discussion about the constructions of the bridge, and that's that," the woman said. The Digimon were dumbfounded.
"You mean, no one was getting hurt?" Gomamon asked.
"Boy, do I feel silly," Patamon said.
"You feel silly? I feel stupid," Tentomon said.
"You see, the foreman is the supervisor for this important project"' the mayor explained.
"Again, sorry about that," Sora apologized.
"Yeah, sorry. We all jumped into conclusions," Agumon apologized. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua, couldn't blame them for that since they were in a war it makes it look like anyone could be fighting.
"Whether or not these ridiculous insrusions continue, this bridge will be completed in three days' time, even if you and my Pokémon collapse from exhaustion," the foreman said.
"You know, the bridge grand opening is way past the planning stage, so we're depending on you to finish up by then," the mayor said.
"Yes, sir," the woman replied.
"Remember, I've got my reputation as a foreman to think about!" The foreman said. He and the mayor took their leave. The group didn't like that guy's attitude one little bit.
"Is it me or does he seem that he's only thinking of himself?" Sora asked.
"I'm picking up on that too," Kairi agreed.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"Vee," Eevee said. The woman sighed as the group went up to her.
"Sorry for what happened," Sora apolgized.
"Don't apologize. It was bound to happen one way or the other," the woman said. "Anyway, my name's Isis."
"Nice to meet you, Isis. I'm Sora. This is my girlfriend Kairi, and my cousin Ventus," Sora introduced.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"And this little Eevee is Angel," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Terra."
"I'm Aqua."
"I'm Meowth. And you met the Digimon here. Agumon, Gabumon, Veemon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Hawkmon, Wormmon, Armadillomon, Patamon, and Gatomon," Meowth introduced.
"And to make it up, we would like to lend a hand," Agumon offered.
"Thanks," Isis said. She led the group to the worksight to meet the rest of the crew. "To travel from this village to the next town, we'e always had to take a inconvenient mountain pass. And that's why they decided to construct this bridge. Originally, they hired a well-known master stonecutter to do the work. But the poor man threw oout his back. The foreman then took over the construction projectAnd the very first thing he did was to put me in charge of every last bit of stonecutting. But work has ground to a complete halt." They all looked at the Machoke and Machamp just laying around. "And our finish deadline is just three days away."
"Why isn't your crew working at all?" Ventus asked.
"You see," Isis started. Kairi looked at the Machoke and the Machamp and she gets an idea.
"Maybe they're just hungry," Kairi guessed. "And I have just the thing." Kairi took out some bowls of Pokémon food and fed it to them. The Machoke and Machamp started to eat the Pokémon food provided to them and they loved it.
"Wow, that's amazing," Isis said.
"Kairi has the magic touch," Sora said.
"It was something I whipped up. That batch is what I made for Fighting Type Pokémon. I always make my own and never use any of that store bought stuff," Kairi said.
"That's great, except these Pokémon aren't the real problem," Isis said.
"Huh?" Kairi asked in confusion.
"It's the Pokémon that cuts the stone in the stone quarry. It won't do the work, so we don't have any stone," Isis said.
"You could have said that," Meowth said.
"Take a chill pill, Meowth. It was an honest mistake," Gatomon said.
"Anyway, we would like to see the Pokémon you're talking about," Terra said.
"Okay. It's right this way," Isis said, leading the group to the Pokémon she was just telling them about. She led them into the stone quarry and points to a Bibarel wearing a bandana. "Our stones are cut by the Pokémon up on that ledge." The Bibarel just yawns.
"A Bibarel," Sora said.
"She's just laying there," Kairi pointed out.
"And I'll just have a talk with her," Meowth offered.
"I'll take you up there," Biyomon said.
"You sure, Biyomon?" Sora asked.
"I'm sure, Sora. I can fly him up there, no problem," Biyomon said. Biyomon took Meowth in her talons and flew up to them beaver Pokémon. Bibarel looked right at the scratch cat Pokémon.
"Hey there, Bibarel. Sorry to wake ya? I have a huge favor to ask. Wouldn't it be too much trouble if ya got up and started to cut stone?" Meowth asked.
"Bibarel," Bibarel simply said.
"What do you mean go away?" Meowth exclaimed. Bibarel smacks Meowth off and he falls right on his face.
"You okay, Meowth?" Kairi asked. Meowth took his face off the ground.
"Somehow I pictured that completely different," Meowth said.
"What happned?" Sora asked.
"Pikachu?" Pikachu asked.
"I asked as nice I could get and then Bibarel told me to buzz off," Meowth said.
"That wasn't very nice," Patamon said.
"Are you sure that Bibarel is a first-class stonecutter?" Sora asked.
"Well, I'm the one who taught Bibarel how to vut stone at the Pokémon Training Center," Isis explained.
"Wait, you mean, you're a Pokémon Breeder?" Sora asked surprised.
"Yes," isis answered. "But it's not something I'm proud of, and I can't even motivate my own workers."
"It's unusual to see a lazy Bibarel. Bibarel are normally hard working Pokémon," Terra said.
"And good luck trying to get me to talk to her again, because she'll just do the same thing to me like before," Meowth scowled.
"Has she always been like this?" Kairi asked.
"No, not always, not at first," Isis said. "Bibarel got it done and she used to always listen to me, no matter how hard the work was or how much stone Bibarel had cut. "So Bibarel and the expert stonecutter left the training center to begin their work. Then, after a while, I went to see how they were doing. And by the time I did, Bibarel had become a stonecutting expert exactly like her teacher. From that moment on, Bibarel never took a day off from work until her teacher stopped coming here to visit. And that's when Bibarel lost all of her drive." Kairi looked down at the ground.
"I think Bibarel misses her teacher," Kairi said.
"Bibarel! There are only three days left until the bridge opens up! Won't you please cut the stones?" Isis asked. Bibarel just dismissed her. "Bibarel."
"I think we can help you with the stonecutting," Armadillomon offered.
"I appreciate that you want to help, but it's impossible to cut them in the right way," Isis said.
"You only have three days left to get it done," Palmon said.
"So, we wanna help you anyway we can," Gatomon said.
"I think we should all put our heads together and have the bridge finished and do it right," Sora said.
"I had a feeling you would say that, Sora," Terra said. Sora took out his Pokémon Box and exchanged Turtwig, Chimchar, and Spiritomb for Machamp, Sandslash, and Gible as Kairi did the same thing and exhanged Buneary, Politoed, and Bellossom for Machoke, the Kantonian Marowak, and the Midday Form Lycanroc.
"Okay, Machamp, Gible, Sandslash! Come on out!" Sora called out as his Machamp came out with a swirl of stars. Gible came out ready to do some chewing. Sandslash came out, swinging his claws around.
"Machoke, Lycanroc, and Marowak! Come out!" Kairi called out as Lycanroc came out with a howl as the Kantonian Marowak twirls her bone as Machoke flexes his muscles.
"Okay, guys! Get to work on those stones!" Sora and Kairi both ordered.
"Machamp!" Sora said.
"Machoke!" Kairi added.
"Use Karate Chop on the stones!" Sora and Kairi ordered. Machoke and Mchamp used Karate chuop to chop the stones into perfect squares. Bibarel sees what's going on.
"Lycanroc! Use Drill Run! Marowak! Use Bonemerang!" Kairi ordered. Lycanroc does a Drill Run as Marowak threw her bone and it cuts the stones perfectly. Armadillomon cuts the stones with his claws as well.
"Gible! Crunch and Sanslash! ue Slash!" Sora ordered. Gible and Sandslash do their thing on the rocks Isis was amazed by how well they worked.
"I'm impressed," Isis could only say. She measured the stones and turned around with a disappointed look. "I'm afraid this is no good." The whole group was shocked. "See, all of these blocks have to be exactly the right dimensions to make up the bridge's arch."
"When you said it was impossible, you weren't kidding," Sora said.
"No joke," Ventus said.
"We'll have to try again," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said. Bibarel stood up.
"Bibarel!" Bibarel called out.
"Bibarel?" Isis ased.
"So, you ready to get to work?" Sora asked.
"I don't think so," Meowth said. Everyone all looked at the scratch cat Pokémon.
"What do you mean, Meowth?' Kairi asked.
"I think he's right becuase she don't look happy," Gomamon said. THey all saw the angry look on Bibarel's face.
"I am not liking the look on Bibarel's face," Gatmon said. They heard the sound of an explosion.
"Machoke!"
"Machamp!"
"What was that?" Sora asked.
"That was me!" A new voice spoke. They all saw it was Giromon and he cakled.
"What is that?" Isis asked. Aqua took out her Digidex and looked up the Digimon.
"It says that this Digimon is named Giromon. He's a machine Digimon and he's an Ultimate level Digimon. He might be small, but the chainsaw he's holding isn't for show. And he throws a small bomb with an attack called Big Bang Boom," Aqua said.
"I have my orders that none of you are to go any further. I'm going to bury you all here!" Giromon.
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Wormmon said. He started to Digivolve. "Wormmon Digivolve to... Stingmon!" Stingmon flew after Giromon to take him down. "I'm going to cut you down to size, small fry!"
"Don't think you can take me, just becuase you're bigger than me," Giromon said, heading right towards Stingmon with his chainsaw. Stingmon blocks with his stingers on his arms.
"Spiking Strike!" Stingmon shouted as he heads right towards Giromon. Giromon dodges him and he throws his bomb.
"Big Bang Boom!" Giromon shouted as he threw his bomb at Stingmon and he got hit bad.
"I told you not to take me lightly, bug," Giromon taunted. Stingmon gets back up on his feet.
"I won't give up that easily," Stingmon said as he flew back up. "Moon Shooter!" Stingmon fires at Giromon and he misses.
"Missed me!' My turn! Big Bang Boom!" Giromon shouted as he threw it right at Stingmon. He goes crashing down again.
"Stingmon!" Sora called out. Stingmon regains his flight as he started to give off a green glow. Stingmon glowed even brighter each passing second until he started to change.
"Stingmon Digivolve to-" Stingmon transformed into a much larger and bulkier version of himself, but he is red. He almost resembled Buzzwole, only without the nose part and he has large antennas than before. "MachoStingmon!" He flew right up at Giromon, leaving everyone amazed.
"Did you see that?" Meowth asked.
"Is that Stingmon's new form?" Ventus asked. Terra looked up his Digidex on MachoStingmon.
"It is, Ven. It says he's now MachoStingmon. An Ultimate level Digimon. He attacks with Macho Spiking Strike and Laser Sting," Terra said.
"So cool," Ventus said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"So, you're bigger and badder than before. I can still take you on! Big Bang Boom!" Giromon shouted as he threw the bomb at MachoStingmon, but it bounced right off. "Uh-oh."
"My turn," MachoStingmon said. "Macho Spiking Strike!" The spikes on MachoStingmon's chest grew even longer than Stingmon and darted right towards Giromon and struck him hard. Giromon then dissolves into bots of data as MachoStingmon reverts back to his Rookie form.
"Amazing," Isis could only say.
"That was great, Wormmon. That new form of yours took us all by surprise," Sora said.
"You were wonderful," Kairi added.
"Thanks," Wormmon said. "That minature tin can didn't know who he was messing with."
"He sure didn't," Gabumon said. Just then, the foreman came driving in a giant digger much to everyone's dismay.
"Now what?" Terra asked.
"You just can't be trusted to get the job done, can you? I'll just have to to those stones cut and finish that bridge all by myself!" The foreman said, holding a Pokéball.
"Sir, but wait!" Isis pleaded as he threw it and unleashes a Rhydon.
"Okay, Rhydon. Use your Horn Drill to cut that stone!" The foreman ordered. Rhydon obeyed and went to get it done.
"But sir, without Bibarel's help, Rhydon will never get it cut to the right size," Isis pleaded.
"Listen to her. She's right," Sora said.
"Shut up!" The foreman barked. "Rhydon, go on!" Rhydon drills into the wall. Bibarel rams int the drill Pokémon. That angered Rhydon and it smacked her with his tail.
"Bibarel!" Isis gasped. Rhydon was about to step on Bibarel when Bibarel gave it a bite on its foot. Rhydon was pained by the bite. The foreman didn't like Bibarel's attitude one bit.
"Hey you, out of the way!" The foreman demanded. Bibarel refused. He took out three more Pokéballs. "I guess you wanna fight! Aggron, Magmar, Metang!" He threw them all as Aggron, Magmar, and Metang all came out to battle. They all surrounded the beaver Pokémon. She stood her ground and refused to move. "Now, Aggron, use Iron Head!" Aggron charged right at Bibarel with Iron Head. Bibarel dodges just by jumping out of the way and rolls in the air. "Metang! Metal Claw!" Metang comes at Bibarel with a Metal Claw attack. Bibarel does the same thing as she did Aggron. "Magmar! Use Flamethrower!" Magmar fires Flamethrower to burn the beaver Pokémon into a crisp. Bibarel got hit by the attack and goes flying.
"Bibarel!" Isis gasped.
"What are you doing?!" Aqua exclaimed.
"Getting back to work," the foreman said. Bibarel stood back up and she still refused to move. He was getting pissed off. "Stubborn, are you? Bibarel, get out there now!" Magmar, Aggron, Rhydon and Metang all charge right towards Bibarel and ready to attack. Bibarel stood her ground as Isis figured it all out.
"Bibarel's doing all this just to protect the stone quarry," Isis said.
"Time to even up the playing field! Machamp! Use Power-Up Punch!" Sora ordered.
"You too, Machoke!" Kairi ordered.
Machoke and Machamp landed a punch onto Rhydon.
"Sandslash! Metal Claw! Gible! Crunch!" Sora ordered.
"Lycanroc! Drill Run! Marowak! Bonmerang!" Kairi ordered.
Sandslash, Gible, and Lycanroc charged right at the foreman's Pokémon as Marowak threw her bone. Marowak's bone smacked Aggron after he gave it a Metal Claw, Lycanroc gave Magmar a Drill Run as Bible gave Magmar a Crunch and slammed it down on the ground. The couple's Pokémon stood before the foreman's beaten Pokémon . The foreman wasn't willing to call it quits.
"All right, you, punks, now you're gone and pissed me off! I'm going to finish that confounded bridge right now, if it's the last thing I do!" He drove the giant digger to get the job done. Just then, a stone is hurled at the giant digger, knocking it over. He came out in a rage. "WHO THREW THAT?!"
"I threw that," an elderly man spoke. Everyone turned to see it was the expert stonecutter, riding on his Machamp's shoulders.
"Bi!" Bibarel beamed.
"He's come back!" Isis said.
The both of them were delighted to see him again.
"What the?!" The foreman growled. Machamp jumped off as as Bibarel went up to him with a smile. The stonecutter smiled back at the beaver Pokémon.
"Bibarel, it's wonderful to see you again," the stonecutter said. Isis and the rest of the group ran up to him.
"So does this mean your back is totally healed?" Isis asked.
"The truth is, I never hurt my back in the first place," the stonecutter admitted. Everyone was all stunned to hear the truth come out of his mouth. He holds up a rolled-up blueprint. This blueprint was the only thing tht needed to be healed." The foreman was stunned, but he refused to accept it.
"That's a lie! My blueprints are always perfect!" The foreman roared. He stonecutter roars at him and he is intimidated by his yell.
"Your blueprints calls for less stones than necessary. So I built a model just to make sure," the stonecutter said. He shows them a model of the bridge with a support structure.
"Why, you sneaky-" the foreman threatened.
"Now, watch this," the stonecutter said as he lifted support structure and the model falls to pieces.
"It fell apart," Veemon said. The foreman growled.
"So, the real one would have collapsed too," Terra said. The foreman growled.
"If this bridge were built according to this blueprint, it wouldn't be able to support its own weight and would indeed collapse into a heap. A complete disaster!" the stonecutter stated, ripping the blueprint in half.
"How could you? Why did you do this?" Isis asked.
"Because we never would have never finished in time, and my reputation would have been ruined, that's why!' The foreman said.
"So, that's it?" Isis asked, disgusted.
"That's the problem with guys like you. Always thinking about número uno. If that's what you cared about, then you have you no business working as a foreman of anything!" Sora stated.
"He's right. You'll never find work as a foreman for anything! Never again!" Isis sated.
"You're not fit to work alongside stonecutters! Now get off this site or else!" The stonecutter demanded. All of the Pokémon stood before as did the Digimon. Agumon glared at him.
"Here's a little motivation. Pepper Breath!" Agumon shouted as he fired his fireball, scaring off the former foreman. Rhydon, Aggron, Metang, and Magmar all followed him.
"Go and build yourself a Ferris wheel, I don't care!" The former foreman exclaimed.
"And don't come back!" Ventus shouted after him. Isis gasps in realization.
"But without a blueprint, we'll never get it done in time!" Isis pointed out. "What do we do?" The stonecutter smiled and took a new blueprint out.
"I just happned to adjust the blurprint before I came here today," the stonecutter said, taking it out. He opens it up and shows it to everyone. "Do exactly what it says, and everything will be fine."
"Then we'd better get started right away," Isis said.
"And we'll give you a hand," Sora said.
So, everyone started to pull his or her own weight. All of the Digimon Digivolved into their Champion forms and helped out with the work. They all worked hard to build the bridge.
Three days later, the bridge was finally finished as the village has around as it was now the grand opening of the newly constructed bridge.
"What a beauty," Sora said.
"I'll say," Ventus said.
"All of our hard work has paid off," Meowth said.
"And it was because of that, it was done on time," Kairi said.
"You've done a wonderful job, Isis," the stonecutter praised.
"Well, I was certainly given a lot of help, sir. Although, it's strange for a Pokémon breeder not to know how Bibarel was feeling. it's kind of embarrassing," Isis said.
"Well, if you can work together with your Pokémon the way you just did, then I can guarantee you, you'll make an excellent Pokémon breeder before you know," the stonecutter said.
"He's right. Just keep at it and you'll get there," Sora said.
"And thanks to all you fine folks for your hard work," the stonecutter said. He handed out bandanas for Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua to wear. "A token of my appreciation." Sora accepts them and handed the rest.
"Thanks a lot," Sora said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu said.
"This will work great when I'm in a contest," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"Thank you all for what you've done. I have almost given up hope and you brought it back again. Thank you very much," Isis said.
"You don't need to thank us. We were happy to help out," Sora said.
Everything worked out well as a bridge has gotten finished in time and they are once again on the road for Veilstone City. But first, they're heading for Mount Coronet on the way.
