"Have you seen Shiho?" Shinichi asked.
"No." Kaito answered.
"She's not showing up in our office 3 days straight now."
"Yeah."
"Do you think there's a problem?"
Kaito looks at him.
"Actually there is..." Kaito said.
He walk towards Shinichi.
"There's a rumor about you two in her department." He whispered.
Shinichi looks at him confused.
"Rumor?"
"Remember when you both eat on a nearby restaurant? Someone made an issue about it. They're spreading that Shiho is trying to flirt you." Kaito lower his voice.
"What?!"
"Yeah I know they're crazy."
"I should go there and clean her name. There's nothing going on between us!"
"Nah... you should shut your mouth up, if you said something they'll assume you're guilty."
'Kaito is right but what about Shiho? She didn't deserve to be the topic of the gossip people.' His thoughts.
He feels bad and sorry for her. She's just trying to be friendly and people misunderstood her. Boys and girls can be friends but people are too malicious and stupid.
Meanwhile...
"I can't believe Shinichi! It's been 2 days now and he's not coming here to pursue you! It's not that I don't want you here but that guy is unbelievable! He's not as sweet as Doctor Araide! You chose the wrong guy." Sonoko roll her eyes.
Ran sighed.
"Sonoko... I asked him not to come here because we need space."
"But still..."
"It's ok." Ran smiled.
"But if you decided to break up with him I'll support you and I'll find you a kind, sweet, handsome guy for you."
"We only need to be apart for a while and I know everything will be alright."
"So tell me how many days exactly you need to be apart from your husband?"
"I really don't know."
"When the cat isn't around the mice will come out to play."
Ran looks at Sonoko.
"I trust him. We've been married for 5 years and he never cheated on me. I know he loves me so much."
"Maybe he's really good at hiding."
Ran smiled.
"He won't do that." Said Ran.
The Next Day...
Kaito is busy studying their mission while Shinichi is doing nothing, they're currently in the living room of Shinichi's Mansion.
"So we only need to gather information in their computer and then mission accomplished!" Said Kaito.
Shinichi looks at him.
"It's not that easy. We need to be close to the targets and then fool them." He said.
"It's easy to fool them specially the wife of this man..." Kaito gets the picture of the syndicate man and pointed it.
"Likes fashion and other girl stuffs. While this man loves his wife so much and he'll do anything for his wife." Kaito added.
"That's good. You can disguise as a girl and fool them, try to be close to them while Shiho is stealing the information on their computer, I'll look out for Shiho to keep her safe." He said.
Kaito just stare at him.
"What? You want Shuichi to kill us when something bad happen to her?" He asked.
They continued planning what they'll do to their mission.
At the Same Time...
"You should come to the party tomorrow!" Akemi said while video calling to Shiho.
"I don't know if I'm going tomorrow."
"Maybe you'll find someone interested there?" Akemi smiled.
Shiho roll her eyes.
"C'mon Shi! You're gorgeous! Every single guy at the party will drool over you if they saw you!"
"I don't like people."
"Shiho! You should start finding the right one so Mom will stop being a match maker. Every guys he introduced are not actually compatible to you."
"No one is compatible to me." She smirked.
"Don't tell me you're planning to be alone for the rest of your life?"
"I don't wanna search for someone to complete me. Because I'm contented and happy being single."
"Having special someone in your life makes your life happier, trust me."
"What will I get when I fall inlove? Head ache? Heart ache? Stress? Nah! Stress makes you ugly and I don't want that."
Akemi laughs.
"You're so bitter! When cupid shoots the magical gold tipped arrows to you and someone you'll definitely change your point of view about love."
"Well if stupid cupid did that I hope he also shoots the guy's heart also not just only me... Just to be fair." She smiled.
"Oh? So that's why!"
"What why?" Shiho got confused.
"You're bitter because You had fallen inlove with someone who doesn't have feeling towards you right?"
"No." She denied.
"It's alright sis! You'll get over whoever he was!" Akemi smile widely.
"YOU BETTER GO TO THE PARTY TOMORROW!" Akemi added.
"I don't know."
"Shi!"
"You know how I hate party, I'll just end up coming back to the house."
"Give it a try. Maybe there will be someone else there who will make your heart happy." Akemi smiled.
"Hmmm..."
"Please? Don't let that someone in your past will be the reason why you'll end up alone in life. You deserves to be happy."
Shiho didn't really like parties. The loud music, the annoying people and making out lovers. She hates that.
'But Akemi has a point I deserves to be happy. I deserves to be loved. Shinichi was married 5 years ago, he's happy and I should be to.' Her thoughts.
Shiho looks at her sister and sighed.
"Ok then. I'll go to the party tomorrow."
Akemi jumped and yelling like crazy, she seems excited and happy that Her sister will be partying outside.
"Update me if someone caught your picky eyes alright?" Akemi smiled.
"Do I have a choice?" Shiho smiled.
They keep video chatting until 8 PM. She ended the video call session and then look at her closet. She's now picking what should she will wear at the party. She picked a simple nice blue dress, she didn't want to stand out so simple dress will do. Besides it's Shuichi and Jodie's moment.
After picking the dress she went to the kitchen to get some alcoholic drinks and went straight to her living room. She started drinking.
"Tomorrow is a brand new day to meet someone and forget you Shinichi!" She said.
She keeps drinking until she got drunk and fall asleep to her couch.
