"And how is my beautiful wife this morning?" Liam smirks, Carla turns around and pulls a face

"Annoyed at her husband for waking her" she retorts quietly, her voice deep and husky from all the sleep

Liam smirked then got up and got dressed whilst Carla continued to sleep. He went downstairs and got some breakfast for Liv and Carla along with all of Carla's meds which he worked on sorting out as well. He decided she deserved to have breakfast in bed after the traumatic events of the other day when they went to the hospital to check on her pregnancy. Carla was fully up at this point and watching the TV so Liam placed the tray down on her lap and she smiles up at him and took her meds before sighing quietly.

"Can you get Liv ready for her first day at school please?"

"She'll want you to do her hair for her"

"Do you want me to eat this or not?" she questions raising her eyebrows, Liam bites his lip and leaves the room to go and see Liv

"Right mummy says you need to get ready for school"

"Sure" she shrugs trudging up the stairs, Liam cleans her plate away and sighs tiredly rubbing his forehead as Carla appears with her tray

"Hey! Don't carry that," he says rushing to take the tray off her, she frowns folding her arms across her chest

"I'm more than capable of carrying a tray Liam" she snaps, he just raises his eyebrows kissing her on the side of the head "Anyway did I hear silence as she trudged up those stairs?"

"I thought you'd be pleased" he jokes, she just shrugs in response before tilting her head back and sighing "Are you ok darlin'?"

"Yeah I just hope these meds work"

"Me too" Liam smiles slightly, Carla smiles back and hooks her arms up and under his middle and rests her head on his chest "You seem overly clingy"

"Yeah well," she sighs "Yesterday put things into perspective didn't it?"

"It did," he says quietly kissing her on the top of the head "I was wondering if you wanted to go out?"

"Oh yeah" her eyes light up "Liv will be at school as well so we don't have to call the babysitter"

"Exactly my thinking" he muses as Liv trudges down the stairs with her bag in her hands "Right are you ready to go princess?"

"Yeah" she shrugs, passing her mother her bag with a cheeky grin "Can we go?"

"Of course, I'll take you how about that as your mother isn't ready" Liam suggests, Liv nods taking her bag and putting it on her back "We'll head off then, I'll see you later. Say goodbye to mummy Liv"

"Bye mummy" she hugs Carla who kisses her on the top of the head

"So you're going to make lots of new friends" Liam beams as Liv nods holding his hand "And you're going to be well behaved for the teachers-"

"Of course" she scoffs, Liam raises his eyebrows "I was watching this video on youtube"

"Oh?" Liam questions "What sort of video?"

"About adoption" she comments looking up at Liam, he pulls a face wondering how she bypassed the children's settings on the router at home

"And what about this video?"

"Can you adopt me?" she questions, Liam raises his eyebrows opening his mouth in shock at Liv's request, she looks up expectantly and Liam didn't know what to say; he was speechless

"Liam" she persists looking into his eyes

"You want me to adopt you?" he questions, she nods in response with a wide smile on her face "Are you sure?"

"Yes" she confirms "We'd obviously have to speak to mummy"

"Well yeah," he says quietly "I mean how about we put the idea to her and see what she says? No promises though as she might not want to"

"Ok then" she smiles leaning up to kiss Liam on the cheek "Bye"

"Bye sweetheart," he says shaking his head at the confidence of Carla's child, it made him laugh slightly how she was so much like her mother, he turns around and he was flawed

"Well this is awkward"

"Tell me about it" Liam mutters giving Maria the once over "I'm guessing-"

"Yes, Michelle's told me all that she can" Maria states with a scowl "How could you leave me just like that?"

"I'm sorry-"

"It's not good enough Liam" she states tearfully "Be honest with me, is she your kid?"

"No, she's not, she's Tony's. DNA tested and everything. I brought her up though" he comments, Maria narrows her eyes still not entirely convinced "Michelle told me you were pregnant after I left"

"Yeah," she says with a glare "Liam, his name is, after his dad as I was convinced you weren't coming back. Something for him and me to remember you by"

"You didn't have to do that-"

"Well I did Liam, you weren't coming back. To be honest, I don't know why you are back"

"Me and Carla wanted to come home" he states with a small smile "We're staying whether you like it or not"

"So I have to deal with you walking around the place me and Liam call home whilst you play happy families with Carla and her daughter"

"And our twins which are on the way" he adds seeing Maria scowl "Look I get it some people don't like it alright? But it's happening and there's nothing you can do about it, I'm going to go now before we say something we both regret"

"Running away again then!" she shouts, he just tuts and walks off "Coward…"

Liam went home riled from his discussion with Maria. He walked into the house and Carla immediately clocked his obvious mood, she raised an eyebrow at him but didn't question knowing he would most likely blurt it out. She waited and waited smirking to herself until he finally cracked. To prompt him along she placed her feet across his lap as she continued to smirk at him until he clocked her expression.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Leebugs is angry" she smirks, Liam glares at her as she giggles "Oh babe its ok dont worry"

"Well I do worry Carla"

"Why?" she hums curling up beside him and kissing him on the lips, she continues to peck kisses along his jawline "Hm? What's got you all riled darlin'"

"Maria"

"Huh?" she pulls away to look at him in the eyes

"I saw her at the school run, didn't see my son though before you asked"

"What did she say?"

"She was mad at me for leaving, did not believe that Liv was Tony's, and she called me a coward, she then said she would have to deal with me and you playing happy families"

"The nerve of her" Carla glares climbing off his lap "I'm going to have a word-"

"Carla, no!" he calls pulling her back into his body, she immediately kisses him and he pushes her against the wall as they continue to kiss, moaning and their tongues dancing with each other as he lifts her up, her legs wrapping around his body

"We should stop this" he smirks as she kisses him with more force "Carla"

"Come on Leebugs" she whispers seductively, he chuckles slightly "Make love to me, go on"

"Carla" he chuckles as she kisses him again "You're meant to be taking it easy"

"Don't deny me of action Liam you know that will end in tears" she smirks, he rolls his eyes and walks her to the stairs and takes her up there "Good lad"

"Hmm you're insatiable"

"If you say so"

After Carla and Liam had finished they were lying in each other's arms, Liam's hand playing with Carla's hair and the other one secured around her bump. It was normal for Carla to swat his hand away from her tummy but she let him keep it there as she just felt really insecure about being pregnant most of the time. He kissed her on the back of her head as she woke and stretched out alongside him nuzzling into his chest and laughing slightly, she kissed his bare skin.

"Anyway after you rudely interrupted me with sex-"

"Oi! You wanted it too" she says rolling onto his body and straddling him

"Yes I did but it was rude to interrupt" he smirks, she whacks him on the chest playfully knowing he was joking with her "I was going to say that Liv had a conversation with me on the way to school"

"A conversation?" Carla queries with a smirk "What sort of conversation?"

"Well she took me by surprise and she asked if I would consider adopting her, you don't have to agree I kind of shut the idea down anyway because yeah I didnt think you would approve and all that-"

"Liam, stop rambling" she chuckles slightly with her eyebrows raised "She actually said that?"

"Yeah she did" Liam confirms with a small smile

"Do you want to adopt her?"

"I mean...I dont know"

"Be honest I don't care?" she says with a small smile, it was obvious to him that she was having a serious conversation instead of one filled with teasing

"Well yeah. Only if it's ok with you of course" he frets, she chuckles and kisses him on the lips once more, his hands resting on her hips "Is that a yes?"

"I think you know me by now if I was against something" she retorts, he grins up at her "And if it's what Liv wants I can hardly disagree can I?"

"No, but you are her mother"

"And you could be her father" she comments with a small smile, Liam laughs slightly "I say it's a good idea"

"Me too," he says sitting up and looking at her in the eyes, her arms thrown around his neck as he leans in to kiss her "I think the future's looking pretty bright dont you?"

"Hmm yeah, with you in it how can it not?"
