The Battle at the Tree of Beginning: Alex Peters Takes the Stage
"Alex, this is mental!" Alexa exclaimed, with her blue Aura Guardian robes on, with her hood over her head. Wearing her visor and peering out through the bushes with her Lucario at her side, the duo witnessed the battle going on the rear side of the Tree of Beginning. "Lance and Ross's Team just got out there with a Dynamaxed Shiny Gyarados!... I think! I don't have a great view of that side of the Tree. And I don't know what's with the big water monster, but it looks like it's fighting for us!" After uttering these words, a purple flash of light reflected off her face as the G-Max Machamp fell to the Max Wyrmwind. Then, soon after, Giovanni's G-Max Charizard and Blastoise took its place.
Blue stood against a pine with crossed arms, while Alex sat on the forest floor meditating. "Sounds like quite the sight," The Galar native said with closed eyes. "Only a matter of time before we-"
Before he could finish his sentence, his Rotom phone leapt out of his shorts' pocket. Taking a horizontal stace, the audio of Ash's voice came through. 'Alex, I've got sight of Giovanni's Gigantamax Charizard, but I can't sense his presence on the field. Either way, I think you're on.'
"Sounds good Ash!" Professor Alex Peters said, picking himself up and dusting off the leaf litter from his uniform. "I'll make sure to put on one hell of a show!"
'Meet you back up at the Battle Pyramid!' With that statement, Alexander Peters took his Rotom Phone in hand, turning it off, then pocketing it.
"Alright Team Alex, we're on!" The Champ excitedly exclaimed, leaping into the air sharing a high five with Alexa. Moving away from the teen, the interlocked his fingers, stretching his arms outwards, in order to crack his digits. Placing his hands on his chin and the top of his head, the Professor cracked his neck, before starting the shoulder rolls backwards. Placing a hand on the green Crystal on the ground, Professor Alex Peters absorbed its Tree Particles into his white Dynamax band, making it go online. Clasping a single Luxury Ball off his belt, Alex Peters broke into a sprint through the treeline and out onto the battlefield, hundreds of yards from the grunts in front of the Tree.
As the Champion of Galar swung his arm forwards, the Dynamax energy from his bracelet entered the black and orange ball in his hand. As he released the small orb, it grew larger and larger in size as it flew into the air. Reaching its peak height, the ball burst open, releasing Alex's true Ace Pokemon: The Gigantamax Toxtricity. After growing to an immense size, the enormous, quadrupedal titan of a Pokemon took the field right in front of the fiery-winged G-Max Charizard, letting its pink tongue hang from its mouth. Rearing back up onto its hind legs, with blue and yellow electricity surging from its head, down its back, to the energy plant that made up its tail, Toxtricity reached its right arm up over its left shoulder. Letting out a high pitched shriek-enough to make the grunts on the field clasp their ears, Alex's G-Max Pokemon drew out a literal electric guitar, which manifested out the tip of its tail. Taking the guitar made of electrictricity into its left hand, it raised its right one high into the sky.
Down on the field below, yards behind his Pokemon was Alex. With a pair of glowing blue eyes, he was bonded to his Pokemon just as Ash did when he allowed the Aura to flow through him. Raising his right arm into the sky, the 21 year old champ leapt into the air, striking his air guitar when coming back down. As the Champion did, his Gigantamaxed Pokemon followed suit, causing a surge of electricity to break off towards Giovanni's Charizard, accompanied by the booming riff of a guitar. Stunned for a moment, Giovanni's colossal Pokemon attempted to get off its feet, but was unable to do so due to a surge of paralysis which left wide opened on the ground. Grabbing its guitar by the neck, the Gigantamax Pokemon swung it forward, sending a purple and yellow lightning bolt surging across the battlefield. Crossing its arms and wings in an attempt to block the next attack, the G-Max Charizard glanced upwards to see Toxtricity with its instrument held high over its head. Bringing the electric weapon down onto its opponent, the G-Max Charizard crumpled to the ground.
Alexa emerged from the treeline (followed by Blue) to Alex's side, with her jaw hanging wide open. Together, the trio that made up Team Alex watched as his G-Max Pokemon charged into the sea of grunts on all fours, scooping up a handful of Grunts along the way in order to huck them into the lake.
"Am I sure glad you didn't use that guy against us," Blue said, clasping a hand on his fellow Aura Guardian's shoulder.
"There's a big Geoglyph of a G-Max Toxtricity in my home town that I saw everyday growing up. So when I got the chance to partner with one," Alex said, thinking back to the day he received an infant Toxel 11 years ago. "I knew I was taking a step towards my destiny."
"That's really beautiful, Alex," The youngest Ketchum sibling said, staring on with wide eyes.
"Ah, what can I say?" Alex said, wrapping an arm around the older man and the teen's shoulders. "I'm really just a big fan of my own work sometimes. I've spent so many years training with my current team, I can get a bit emotional at times!" Glancing down to his right wrist at the screen of his white Dynamax Band, he saw that it was still full of Tree Particles. His next sight: a team of five rockets coming his way from the south. "And oh man, am I just getting warmed up." Taking another Pokeball off his belt and giving it a soft toss in the air back into his gloved hand, he pitched another Dynamaxing Premier Ball onto the field. Bursting open, and growing to a towering size was Alex's Gigantamax Rillaboom. Sinking the roots of its drum set into the ground, the Champ's Rillaboom acted as a protective wall between Team Alex and the oncoming Grunts. Bashing its cymbals with its wooden drumsticks, a wave of Dynamax-powered vines tore across the field toward the oncoming people and their Pokemon.
"Is this what battles in Galar are like?" Alexa said, observing the battle with wide eyes.
"Well normally it's one on one," Alex said, turning towards the youngest Ketchum. "But if you ever cross the sea and face off against me, I'll make sure to bring this kind of fight to ya. Once you're ready of course."
"Mhm!" Alexa said with a determined nod.
"If Ash is rallying back up to the Battle Pyramid I suggest we fly up there too. Phase 3's gonna be wild!" Blue said, tossing his Charizard out of his Pokeball. Climbing aboard its back, he took off high into the sky.
Pulling out her Lucario's Pokeball, she returned her partner, before pulling out the ball belonging to her Swellow. Tossing the Hoenn Regional bird out and climbing aboard its back, Alexa turned back to the Champion of Galar, witnessing him pitch yet another Gigantamax Pokemon onto the field. This time, the slender, black-haired G-Max Grimmsnarl grew to its immense size, firing a stream of Hellish energy onto the incoming Grunt-Pokemon from the exposed flank.
Lowering his arm back down to his side, both trainers looked up at the towering Pokemon, unaware of the green lightning surging from Alex's white Dynamax band. "I'm right behind you kid!" Alex shouted, tossing out his Corviknight (without Dynamaxing.) Hopping onto the Regional bird of Galar, Alex followed the youngest Ketchum upwards toward the Battle Pyramid. Making their way into the shadowy base of the Pyramid to avoid the Eclipsing Sun's harsh rays, Blue, followed by Alexa and Alex flew into a sliding bottom hatch of the Battle Pyramid.
The last sights of the ongoing battle below consisted of a sea of Grunts barricading a 20 by 10 foot opening (Ash's only entrance into the Tree,) with Lance, Ross, Dawn, Harrison and Ritchie and May coming in from the left. Across from the entrance, sandwiching the grunts were The Kukui's, Oak and Paul 9commanding Ash's Legendary Pokemon) coming in from the front on the ground with a White Ultra Wormhole at the ready. Finally, Alex's three G-Max Conquerors coming in on the right. Scattered about, fighting whichever Rocket they could, were the Ultra Guardians, and Darkrai's force of Legends and Mythicals. As the hanger door was sealed off, Ash could now stand before the remaining battlers (Gym Leaders, Champions, Frontier Brains) who journeyed to the Tree, who had not yet seen battle. The World's Elite who have stepped forwards to help aid their Universe and beyond.
