Preperation

The pre-final conference in the school hall at eight o'clock in the morning of the 22nd of June was a bloody carnage.

Aquamarine dominated the headmaster and several of the judges, make cramping remarks about the other three houses, and specifically named Ginny for her victory.

Ginny was unmoved by this. The other students were not such lucky. They clearly thought that Aquamarine was right, and quite right, and began to doubt their own existence value.

"This is the chief chosen to battle against me? It was like a child's play. Since it's become a child's game already, I'll play with you, and we'll play whatever you like."

"I choose what we play, right?" Ginny spoke for the first time in the whole conference.

"Pretty clever, and you make the rules. I demand that you tell me what you want to fight on the day of the final competition. I will not prepare for battle. If I only win by just a little bit over, then it can be count as your win."

"Deal!"

The audience applauded the heroism of Aquamarine.

After the conference, six people gathering together to discuss the strategy.

Hermione said you're not allowed to come back if you lose!

Ron said this sort of thing needs tactics. I did a bit of analysis, and I saw that we had the advantage that she doesn't know us well. Of course, we had the disadvantage as well, that's we don't know her well either.

After finishing knocking Ron out for babbling too much, Hermione said, we can gather information. Harry, you and Colin will investigate Aquamarine's vulnerability, Luna and I will help Ginny find her strengths.

Said Ron weakly, who had almost been knocked silly by Hermione, what about me?

Go over there and play dead for a while, Hermione suggested.

Ginny completed nearly a dozen questionnaires Hermione had given her and awaited the results of her test.

"Ginny," said Hermione, looking up from a pile of scales, "congratulations, you have a normal IQ, a normal EQ, a bloody-bloodied personality with a little bit of bile, a creative inclination, a high degree of social resilience... now I see no use in doing these questionnaires." She picked up another questionnaire and asked Ginny to answer the questions.

"What's your favorite thing to do?"

"Swimming, climbing trees, reading comic books, sleeping."

"What do you do best?"

"Playing."

"In what ways have you been praised?"

"Ron praised that my ears look special because they're kinda sharp."

"Which of your subject got the highest marks?"

"Flying."

After a long digging, they found that Ginny was outstanding at playing.

"You can apply for tree-climbing or hide-and-seek or something like that." Ron, who had returned from his death, had a suggestion.

"I don't think so. Aquamarine should be able to Disapparate. Look at the weaknesses in Harry's collection."

Harry and Colin came back with the information: Aquamarine had no weakness.

"We've asked all the professors and everyone who knows her, and there's nothing she can't do right now," Harry said.

"And no one could say anything bad about her," Colin added.

There was a long silence. Hermione asked one last question with a glimmer of hopeless hope.

"You've been with her the longest. Do you think she's any better than you?"

"Yes." Ginny was sure. All of them were filled with hope.

"In which?"

"She is not as mediocre as me."

There was total hopelessness now.

"You are so mediocre, how about change your name to Geniocrap?"

Geni-o-crap... No, Ginny had been going her business as usual for these three days, no hurry, no panic, and the time flew in the blink of eyes.

On the night of the 24th, Harry couldn't help but asked her, Ginny, are you that calm because you have some great strategy?

Yes.

Hermione was excited and asked Ginny to tell them.

No. If you want to outwit the enemy, you must outwit your own partner.

No... like a strong no?

No like a strong no. Everybody go back to bed and there will be a surprise for you tomorrow.

Colin said he'll take good care of the camera and photograph every moment of Ginny's heroics tomorrow.

When they had gone, Ginny grabbed Luna and said can you walk with me down to the lake?

It was too late to have any lovers by the lake anymore, and the moon was so big that not a single star could be seen in the sky.

Ginny held out her wand for light, picking up a pile of pebbles to float, while Luna sat under a nearby tree.

After throwing the last pebble and waiting for the moon to solidify, Ginny said, the expression on my face is the peace of death. I haven't had any idea at all, but I want them to sleep well tonight. You are the unlucky one who has to stay up with me.

I know.

I won't be back to see you guys tomorrow.

Don't take Hermione's words that day to heart, she didn't mean it that way.

It's not about what she said. I want to travel by myself.

Ginny... When my mother was alive, she told me a wonderful lesson that I hold dear and have never told anyone else. You are my friend, today I tell you about it.

Ginny looked gratefully at Luna, trying to catch every word of her.

Luna said, no fish could be seen in the water too clean, no win could be found in the person with shame. Ginny, I'm sure you'll be the one without shame. Your sister will never be able to do that.

Ginny watched the moon in the water for a long time, then she said, thanks, Luna, let's go back to sleep.

You're welcome, Ginny. Have a good night.
