Chapter 33
He couldn't leave just yet.
Yuuji let everyone walk on ahead of him as he tried to get rid of this new power he obtained. "I didn't think it would have affected me THIS much…" he said offhandedly.
Suiryu was rather curious to it too. "Yeah, that Jojo guy was strong, even Sukuna told him that, he would have been what… ten fingers worth of power?" Suiryu said offhandedly. "I do admit, that is quite a look for you!"
Yuuji sighed aloud, yet he was surprised that the fairies that came to see him haven't left yet. "I think I need to ask Kitsune for some help on this…"
"You called?"
Both jumped! Suiryu was even caught off guard. "Damn, you're good," he admitted.
She merely smirked at him, but when she saw Yuuji, her eyes widened. "Young master?" she asked with great confusion.
He explained it as best as he could, but didn't understand how he got to the state he was in. "I mean, one moment it gave me a stomach ache, the next… I'm like this."
She looked about him curiously but nodded throughout her inspection. "That curse must have triggered something, no doubt about that. You haven't consumed anything like that before have you?"
He shook his head. "I really should consider what I am eating now a days…" he said offhandedly.
"You're like a toddler that puts anything in his mouth," muttered Suiryu. "I mean why did you have to eat the bastard to begin with?!"
Yuuji paused but then remembered. "It was this curse that inflicted a great wound on my teacher… who was then killed by Mahito." He said meekly. "I just… I wanted him to suffer as much as he made Nanami suffer before he died…"
Silence fell upon them. Suiryu cleared his throat. "Well, that's different then," he stated. "So, is this an allergic reaction or something?" he asked of Kitsune.
She shook her head. "Consider this a bridge between curse and divine in a sense. This is the closest he has been to mixing the two when needed, but since this curse was so close to his power, it has resonated with the divine energy within him," she explained.
"So… how long does it last?" Yuuji asked. "I can't go back to school or I'll burn the place down!"
Kitsune giggled. "You are adorable when you are confused," she said. She approached him fearlessly and gently tapped the middle of his forehead with her index finger. "Master, I do believe you can help him,"
"Huh? Ryujin?" he asked.
His heart began to race in his chest. Yuuji felt his body freeze until he heat began to drawn in. He couldn't move, he couldn't breath for a moment, until he saw his curse marks slowly turn to black once more.
When he was released, his heart regulated itself again. He took deep breaths of air before nearly putting his head down between his legs. "What the hell!" he demanded.
Suiryu smirked a little. "That phase is harder for you to contend with isn't it? I'll make note of that, so next time, warn me when you want to eat a curse that has some fire power behind it, yes?" he demanded of him.
"Yes," Yuuji said meekly.
"Good, let's go home, I got to throw out these clothes, they reek of curse blood…" Suiryu said offhandedly.
They were about to join the others until Yaga stood there with the nine brothers. "Ahem… Itadori… Itadoris… I do believe you have some explaining to do…" he said as he hooked his thumb to point to the brothers behind him.
"Ah yeah," Yuuji said offhandedly.
Suiryu however stepped forward, and lowered his head!
"This was my doing," he stated aloud. "I had explained to the dragon within Yuuji of our need of allies and knew the curse wombs would have been the better option in our time of need. The dragon took it upon himself, using my brother to obtain them. From this moment on, they will be my responsibility" he said. He raised his head once more. "Besides, you wouldn't do anything to them after how they assisted us now would you?" he asked with a coy grin.
Yaga sneered. "You can be as worst as Satoru, you do know that! Right now, you are a sliver above him in my books!"
"I don't know if I should be insulted or take it as a compliment, but either way. What I say is true, the brothers will be under my care."
Yaga turned to the brothers. "What do you say? What do you intend on doing for yourself?" he asked.
They looked to each other oddly. "Watch movies," said Junpei. "We're really getting into those right now, but honestly sir, we just want to be a family."
The eight nodded in agreement.
"We haven't been together before, it's rather nice," Sho said rather proudly. "After all, I have never gotten a chance to know my brothers until now,"
"So… you don't want to see destruction or kill people?" Yaga asked offhandedly.
"Why would we?" Choso questioned. "As long as no one attacks the family, we won't attack them. Is that a problem?" he asked.
Yaga turned and glared at Suiryu. "You two are really pushing your luck here…" he said in a warning tone. "For now, I'll allow it." He then turned to Yuuji, he was taken aback that he returned to his normal state once more. "Itadori… quite eating weird curses without knowing what they are going to do to you!" he scolded.
He hung his head shamefully. "Yes sensei Yaga…"
"Well, that was interesting…" Suiryu said offhandedly, yet he paused. "I am curious to this state you can achieve now, very curious…" he said and grinned.
"Right now, let's just go back home… I think we all deserved some time off…" Yuuji said with a sigh.
Suiryu agreed, but first, it was time to send the brothers back home.
