Springfield Police Department

They just showed up at the police station as Joshua got out of his truck before helping Reva out and placing her in the wheelchair when he carried her into it. The two of them just heard of Shayne's arrest from Frank when he called Joshua to let him know what's going on. Joshua was at work so he dropped everything, then he went to Cedars Hospital to get Reva since she was in the middle of rehab during her appointment with the physical therapist. Luckily she was just about done because when he told Reva about Shayne's arrest and the main reason, Reva was pissed. Both knew their son wasn't some murderer and he wouldn't kill anyone unless he had good reason too, even if that person is Alan-Michael Spaulding. Joshua and Reva heard everything of what that man was doing to Bill and Lizzie company wise, but they couldn't imagine Shayne getting involved. Maybe Shayne had to see Bill before the meeting started, but ignored Alan-Michael Spaulding along the way before he came in or maybe Alan-Michael tripped on a knife? They had to be there for Shayne and support him through this ordeal. Joshua grabbed the wheelchair and started to push Reva before together they went inside the station immediately seeing Frank speaking with Mallet.

Reva - "Frank...Frank!?"

Frank and Mallet heard Reva as they see her with Joshua before the two of them walk up to Shayne's parents. Frank didn't like to be the one that does stuff like this, but Reva and Joshua deserve the right answers at the end of the day.

Joshua - "We just got the call, what's going on with Shayne?"

Reva - "And what's this that he killed Alan-Michael Spaulding? Our son may be many things but he's not a killer"

Mallet - "The fingerprints and the DNA we got from the knife, the blood matches Shayne. We made sure and double checked"

Joshua - "And there wasn't anyone else at the scene of the crime when this happened?"

Frank - "All Shayne told us was that he was at Lewis Energy the day it took place but what our CSI's found proved otherwise"

Reva - "How's Marina? She knows right?"

Frank - "She does, Mallet called me when we were all at Company's saying goodbye to Harley and Gus. I told Marina and she didn't take it well first, though I haven't spoken to her which it something that needs to be taken care of"

Reva - "And are you sure it's Shayne? This sounds too good to be true Frank, you know Shayne, he would never do anything like this on purpose"

Frank's cell phone went off before he could answer before he could say anything else. Taking it out he held up one finger when the top cop saw the caller ID.

Frank - "I'm sorry Joshua and Reva, excuse me for one moment. This is Frank...Bill slow down...what happened? Oh god...okay just hang tight and someone will be there for you, I will make sure the coast guard is there with you too...stay strong okay? Bye"

Frank ends the call as he shakes his head. Now more stuff is taking place and none of it was good, but this just had to be on a day like this where everything was going on, isn't it?

Mallet - "Everything alright Frank?"

Frank - "No, that was Bill calling and he just got in an incident when a truck crashed into his car. It sent him off the bridge, Lizzie, Sarah and their son were in the car"

Reva - "Oh no...little HB was in there too and Jonathan...he's going to be devastated. Does he know?"

Frank - "Sarah and HB are headed to Cedar's Hospital just now so they should be in the best of care Reva. I'm sure Jonathan's been alerted already about this"

Joshua - "Where was this Frank?"

Frank - "Twenty miles outside of Springfield, they were leaving town for a vacation until this happened. Mallet, take either Remy with you including a couple of officers before you get there. Makes sure to grab the-"

Mallet - "Yellow tape and everything else...I know Frank, and don't worry, we got this"

Frank - "Okay Mallet. Reva, Joshua, this way"

Mallet walked away and took Remy including other officers with him before they all left. Joshua and Reva followed Frank to the interrogation room before they stopped, then Frank turned around.

Frank - "This is where Shayne is right now, but only one at a time, those are the rules. Mel, his lawyer is with him at the moment so you'll need to wait. If you two need anything I will be in my office"

Joshua - "Thank you Frank"

Frank - "No problem. But I am so sorry guys, after Alexandra died it's been a hectic day"

Reva - "Alexandra died?"

Frank - "Yeah, we don't know what happened but she was sleeping and when Fletcher found her in their room she didn't respond. They tried everything but nothing happened, right now dad, Lillian, James and Daisy, Olivia, Natalia and Rafe are with Phillip, Beth and Fletcher now"

Joshua and Reva were at a loss for words to hear of Alexandra's death as Frank goes to his office. First Bill's incident and now Alexandra's death, including Shayne arrested for something he didn't do, it was too much go through at once.

Joshua - "I'll call Billy and let him know, when Mel leaves the office we'll speak to her then you can go in first. Marah has to know or maybe she does know and hopefully comes down here to see her brother"

Reva - "Right...boy I hope Shayne didn't try to kill Alan-Michael. He could loose everything Joshua, Marina, Little HB-"

Joshua - "Let's not go there Reva, our son is innocent and he'll get out of here...hopefully. We just need to be strong"

Reva slowly nodded before she sighed, feeling helpless at the moment, well both her and Joshua who calls his brother to explain the situation to him when he hears Billy's voice. How could one thing start with an entire domino affect, falling one by one. First it was Vanessa's death, next was Bill's near death experience, and now Shayne was stuck here at the Springfield Police Department for something he didn't do. That's what Reva knew from her heart, her children were not full blown murderers. Unlike some other people in this town who kill for no reason, there's those who kill for the hell of it. Reva Shayne Lewis was no saint at all and she did commit a couple of crimes but the reason for that was to protect her family, her children, even Joshua who wasn't a fan of what his wife did from time to time. But Joshua understood and learned not to be judgmental as he could at least understand, he just felt that Reva should of at least speak to him before she did anything. But the two of them were here for their son who mattered to them both, he had son, a wife who loved him and now he could loose everything because of this. If Shayne didn't do this, then who did? Who framed him?

Springfield Police Department

In the interrogation room, Mel was talking with Shayne about the case and what they're up against. Listening to Mel about the options they have and what they could do, Shayne was confident but at the same time worried. Here he was earlier today working at Lewis Energy until Mallet and Remy came, now he's arrested for something he didn't do at all. The whole thing had to be a big misunderstanding because Shayne knew deep down that he would never try to kill Alan-Michael Spaulding. Was he a big fan of the guy? No, actually no one in the family was a big fan of the guy at the moment when he came to town. Shayne didn't like how he was going after Bill and Lizzie and trying to even scrutinize them with some kind of fake scandal. But not once did the two of them bump into each other or did the day when Alan-Michael Spaulding was stabbed. Shayne knew that which means he was being set up, but the hard part now was to prove it. Watching Mel stand up and gather her things to leave, Shayne felt he was at a hard place where the work may get complicated, but he was going to get cleared, one way or another whether anyone likes it or not.

Mel - "We'll be in touch Shayne, but it's up to the District Attorney now to see what he'll do next"

Shayne - "I understand, hopefully I can at least get bail and head back home to my family. Speaking of them, does Marina even know?"

Mel - "When speaking to Frank after I got the chill, he told me Marina's back home with your son. She's trying to hang in there but Frank is going to check it on her"

Shayne - "She's probably a mess over my arrest Mel and probably won't visit me until the time is right. Everything right now is too fresh"

Mel - "Stay strong Shayne, everything will be okay. As for Marina, she's stubborn and full of it like her dad, she won't give up on you"

Shayne - *Chuckles* "You got that right, Marina's one tough cookie and she can handle this, it's not going to be easy though"

Mel - "No it won't Shayne, but her and Cyrus along with Daisy will look into this. I have faith they'll come through. Anyway, anything happens we'll be in touch and from what I can see your parents are here. They're dying to see you"

Mel takes her briefcase and leaves the interrogation room before she see's Joshua and Reva before closing the door behind her.

Mel - "Joshua, Reva"

Joshua - "It's good to see you Mel, you're going to defend Shayne?"

Mel - "Yes I will be his legal counsel"

Reva - "How bad is it Mel? Be honest, does Shayne have a shot of beating these charges? Or is he going to the slammer?"

Mel - "Honestly, I think he has a good shot of beating the charges Reva. We just need to find more evidence to clear him, but when I leave and see Cyrus, he'll immediately get to work on that"

Joshua - "Well, we hope you are right Mel. Shayne doesn't deserve this, he should be at home with his wife and son"

Reva - "And the real perp should be standing behind bars right now"

Mel - "Same here , anyway I need to get going. If you two need anything, just call okay? You have my number, tell Shayne I said hello. One of you can go in next"

Joshua - "Thanks Mel, you can go in Reva"

Reva - "Okay bud, wish me luck"

As Joshua walked up to the door and opened it, Reva wheeled herself in and saw her son. They were so relieved so see each other, but that's more on Revas part since she heard the news. When she was near the table Reva moved the chair aside so she can be across the table from her son. Joshua closes the door behind them both to give them privacy for the time being.

Shayne - "Mom...I wish you didn't have to see me like this, you're only son arrested on something absurd that never happened"

Reva - "Don't beat yourself up Shayne, you're not the only one who's been in this position and you won't be the last. But I have to know, did you-"

Shayne - "Try to kill Alan-Michael Spaulding? Hell no mom, I was never at Spaulding-Lewis Enterprises when this took place"

Reva - "So someone is setting you up? If so, who then Shayne?"

Shayne - "Maybe Alan-Michael Spaulding himself or someone else that he worked with in the past? Or someone in Springfield? I really don't know mom, hopefully whatever Mel can do to help will come in hand"

Reva - "And it will, she'll have Cyrus and Daisy look into this to clear you. Before you know it, you'll be at home with Marina and Little HB"

Shayne - "How are they? Marina and Little HB?"

Reva - "Well Marina is doing her best to keep it together but she's having a hard time wrapping her heard around this. Little HB, I think it's better that he doesn't know for the time being until you're free to go"

Shayne - "Yeah, he's too young to understand everything. At least he has two of his mom's there to support him and love the little guy"

Suddenly the door busts wide open causing Reva and Shayne to see Hope Bauer standing there with daggers in her eyes despite Joshua trying to hold her back. She obviously heard the news and was angry that nothing else was done to make this guy pay.

Joshua - "No Hope, don't, you can't go in!"

Hope - "Out of my way Lewis!"

Hope elbows Joshua in the gut before he falls back against the door. Hope's about to go over to the other side of the table until Reva wheeled herself in the way, blocking her from laying one finger, one hair on her son.

Hope - "Get out of my way Reva, you're son has to pay!"

Reva - "My son didn't do a damn thing wrong Hope and you know that! You're not going to hurt him, you understand me!?"

Frank and another officer come into the room to grab Hope before the officer starts to drag her away. Shayne sat there and felt sad for Hope, he wanted to reassure her he didn't do anything but Shayne didn't want to incriminate himself. If he did then the man would make things more harder on himself including his family

Frank - "You have to leave Hope, right now!"

Hope - "All I will say is this, Shayne Lewis, if you did kill my son, you better watch your back because you won't see me coming! My son may have not been a perfect man but he was STILL my son! He will never be forgotten and I will make sure of it"

Hope storms out of the interrogation room before an officer follows her to make sure she leaves. Joshua, Reva, Shayne and Frank watch Hope leave knowing this wasn't going to be the last they've seen of her.

Reva - "Who the hell does she think she is barging in here like that!?"

Shayne - "That's Alan-Michael's mother mom, she has every right to be upset, even if I didn't do anything wrong"

Frank - "I'm sorry about that guys, when the officer comes back I will make sure to place him outside the room so that no one besides you all including Shayne's lawyer gets to see him"

Frank leaves the room as Joshua straightens himself before looking at his son and wife. He just went through something intense and hectic as of right now, but it wasn't going to end at some point.

Joshua - "I'll wait outside until your done Reva with Shayne"

Reva - "No it's okay Joshua, you can go in now. I've said everything that needs to be " *Turns around to look at Shayne* "Just know that I love you Shayne. Be strong for me, your father, Marina and Little HB, okay?"

Shayne - "I love you too mom, so so much"

Reva smiled at her son, before she wheeled herself out of the interrogation room leaving Joshua and Shayne all by themselves. Joshua sits down in the chair before he two of them start to talk, as Shayne was glad to see his father and vice versa with Joshua. But the thought of Hope was still in Shayne's mind when she came in her like gangbusters threatening to kill Shayne. What she said to Shayne didn't surprise him and again, he felt so bad for her. If the roles were switched and Hope was in Marina's shoes, Shayne would of held her back but understand her anger too. Hell, if anything happened to little HB, Marah or any one in his family he would be upset too, so it's all just natural. Back outside, Reva saw Frank speak with one of the officers who made sure Hope left before he assigned him next to the interrogation room. Reva couldn't believe Hope had the nerve to do that because it was stupid but she understood it as well. Any mother can be outraged or upset over finding out who was arrested for killing her son or daughter, just like that. At the end of the day Hope wanted justice for her son but it wasn't Shayne Lewis, that's what Reva knows in her heart. Joshua knows that too and nothing or no one like Hope will change their minds.
