They all walked into the hall. And they met up with The Martian Manhunter and Red Tornado. J'ohn told them that they access to the gym, galley and library.
In said library the heroes of the League said that they needed check why four ice villains attacked on the same day. That's when shit hit the fan.
"We need a quick debrief to discuss the coincidence of four ice themed villains attacking on the same day. We shouldn't be long." Bruce said
The heroes turned away from their kids to go up to the watch tower. Percy got up to follow them to get more information about the labyrinth that camp keeps on talking about. This got Roy mad.
"That's it!" Roy yelled to the five Leaguers present, "I thought we would get a real look inside not a glorified backstage pass!"
"This is the first step. You're given a chance very few people get." Arthur said
"It doesn't matter what side of the glass we're on!" Roy growled as he pointed to the window where people and reporters were taking pictures of them
"Roy you need to be patient." Oliver said
"I need to be patient? What I need is respect from all of you! I need the stuff that you show Percy. You allow her up to watch tower whenever she wants!" Roy yelled
He was showing his fatal flaw which was really bad. Percy and the present members of the Justice League knew this. And being a first gen legacy of Ares and a child of Apollo, Roy's fatal flaw was a little bit more of a problem then the others.
Especially when Roy just got finished with a long and strange quest to save Bianca, Annabeth and Artemis from Luke and Mount Tam not five hours ago. A quest that had gotten both Phoebe and Zoë killed. Then right after the quest, Roy was called back to Star City to help stop Icicle Jr with Oliver, while Percy was called to help her brother and Kaldur with Killer Frost at in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Pearl Harbor Naval Base.
Roy's fatal flaw was basically a combination of both Annabeth's and Thalia's fatal flaws. He had deadly pride and the thirst for more power, to prove himself. It was something that Roy was working on since he found out about his flaw.
"The situation with Percy is different then your own situation Roy." Bruce said
Bruce knew he had defuse the situation at hand. He knew that a demigod mad was not good for business. Especially when said demigod was like Roy.
"How is the situation between her and I any different? She's just like me!" Roy yelled
At that moment Roy knew he said something wrong. But he was too angry at the leaguers to care.
"It's different with Percy because she was with us since the beginning Roy. She's the ninth founding member of the League. Percy is the glue for us." Dianna said in a calm, motherly manner like the one she uses with Bianca and Nico and any other demigod that comes through her door
Dianna knew her voice could calm down Roy. She knew his flaw was acting up. She had a fatal flaw herself. It was the same as her sister, Thalia's, fatal flaw, ambition.
It was the fatal flaw of all the demigod daughters of Zeus. But this was not a flaw for his demigod sons. Jason's flaw was temptation to deliberate. Because of Jason being a son of Jupiter, a prince of Olympus, everyone at Camp Jupiter believed that Jason was supposed to be the leader of it all and be the mediator for people.
That Jason was supposed to be the one to lead them all. Camp Half Blood was the same way with Percy when she became the princess of Themycira. Then Roy turned to the other prodigies with a look in his eyes that said they did something wrong. He then looked into Percy's eyes, sky blue met sea green.
Dick, Wally and Kaldur did not know what was going on. Roy took a few deep breaths to get his fatal flaw in order. He also needed to his anxiety under control as well. Knowing demigods, especially legacy demigod mixes, they don't have a good mental state or good relationship with their nerves.
"I got to get out of here. I, I, I'm not ready for this." Roy said as his voice strained and cracked under the pressure he was feeling from being in this room
Roy then ran out of the library as fast as his legs could carry him. But because Roy was not any kind of Hermes descendent, Roy couldn't run as fast as Connor or Travis or Luke. Wally, Dick and Kaldur didn't know what exactly happened just there.
Percy and the leaguers just kept quiet about it. They didn't know how to tell the three remaining sidekicks about Roy and Percy and their situation with the Greek Gods. Well, Kaldur knew Percy was Poseidon's daughter like his king was Poseidon's son, but he didn't know Roy was a demigod as well.
Then an alarm from the computer got all of them out of their minds. It was Clark in his Superman outfit. He had some soot on his face.
"Superman to Justice League! There has been an explosion at project Cadmus. The building is on fire." Clark said
Clark looked a little panicked. But brother looked like he was excited this.
"I had my suspicions about Cadmus. This may present the perfect opportunity to in..." Bruce started but was soon interrupted by another alarm on the computer
Zatara was the next one to show up on the screen. But his picture was smaller then Clark's picture.
"Zatara to Justice League! Zatara to Justice League! The sorcerer Wotan is using the Amulet of Attan to blot out the sun. I'm requesting full Justice League response." Zatara said
Then Percy stood up in a panic. She knew that if the sun was gone then the many Apollo kids across Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter wouldn't have any energy to function properly. And then they would potentially die because they won't have the energy to get up and eat. And that would include Roy.
"Oh my gods. He's going to destroy the sun chariot and will kill Sol and possibly kill Lord Apollo as well. And then Lady Demeter and Lady Persephone will throw a fit because there will be no sunlight for their gardens on Olympus. Then the gods will have to get their food from the underworld." Percy yelled to the Leaguers who could hear her
Percy wouldn't say anything about the Apollo kids need of the sun. She didn't want to put Oliver, and by extension the League, into a panic. Because they couldn't loose Roy.
Dianna understood what her daughter was saying. Persephone and Demeter loved their gardens on Olympus. And Dianna knew the only garden that would survive would be the one down in the underworld.
So Percy was right. The only food that would survive without sunlight would be the food that Persephone grows in Hades's realm for her, Thanatos, Charon, Hades and the other dark deities down there. And if one eats the food from the underworld, you become part of the underworld.
"Superman?" Bruce asked
"The fire is a somewhat small one. The local fire station has it under control. And it's the perfect opportunity for the kids to go in." Clark said
"Cadmus can wait for now." Bruce said
After pressing a few keys on the keyboard, Bruce was ready to talk again. This time to the he was talking to the whole league. Even the ones who were not there.
"All Leaguers rendezvous at Zatara's coordinates. Batman out." Bruce said
Then Bruce turned to Percy.
"Percy do you think you could handle Project Cadmus without full league support? Do you think you can handle this investigation without Dianna?" Bruce asked
"Of course I can Bruce." Percy said
"Then your mission is to find out what you can about that place. I also want you to infiltrate the building till you can't go anymore." Bruce said
He turned to the others with a scowl on his face.
"I'm debating if we should let you go with Percy or not." He said
Bruce and the Leaguers then walked out of the room without saying another word. Percy was getting ready for her mission to Project Cadmus. Strapping her dagger to her right thigh and her sword to her left hip. She looked like Dianna when the elder would was first starting.
Dick went to the computer that Bruce just left. The boy opened the file the League had on Project Cadmus. And there wasn't much in said file. That's was why Bruce wanted someone inside.
"Alright, Project Cadmus is a genetics lab here in DC. That's all there is, but if Bruce is suspicious, maybe we should follow Percy." Dick said to Wally and Kaldur
"So are you three coming with me on this mission or not?" Percy asked
"Hell yeah!" Wally, Dick and Kaldur all said in unison
They then got ready as well. Grabbing any gadgets or weapons they may need for the mission. Once all put together, the group of four left the building. But this time, they all went through the secret tunnels to bypass the press and tourists.
