Chapter 34
The meeting was held.
Yaga explained to the elders what had happened, how it happened and the explanation of the elder Eiji who turned out to be a member of Sukuna's fifth hand. "We were informed a few days before the war of this, Suiryu had determined who was the mole and sought to stop it before it became too serious. He went as far as using a reverse transfiguration technique…"
"Reverse transfiguration?" they asked.
"Shape shifting is one thing, but this method he made allowed him swap bodies in a sense, he did so with Satoru Gojo in order to fool the fifth hand. When in this state, he has every mannerisms of Gojo, his walk, speak and way of acting. In order to fool the enemy into believing they were dealing with the real Satoru, in return, Satoru took on Suiryu's appearance."
There was silence from the elders. "Are you telling us this Sukuna clone can merely body swap with those he comes in contact with?" they demanded.
"The method has to be consensual from both parties according to him."
They didn't appear to be any less convinced.
"What of the curse wombs?"
Yaga sighed aloud. "They are under the care of Suiryu Itadori…"
"UNACCEPTABLE!" the eldest shouted. "These are CURSE WOMBS! How can they be left to such a disgraceful, disgusting…"
"Mind keeping those thoughts to yourself, I can take your words but, if you want to keep your tongue… shut the fuck up."
The room froze as he stood within it. Suiryu came out of the darkness and wondered in until he stood before the elders. "Suiryu… I said…"
"I know what you said, but they don't take your words seriously. Mine… they have to" he said in a warning tone. He patted Yaga on the shoulders as he took in the room.
The atmosphere changed instantly.
He had yet to change his clothing from the war. His body covered from head to toe in curse blood and gore, this meeting was called no more than an hour after everyone returned. Yaga didn't have time to prepare any of the facts of the battle, but at the same time, the elders didn't want to hear them.
"Well nice to see everyone is here and your mole has been eliminated. You're welcome," he said in a rather sarcastic tone. "Now then, for what has occurred, as well what you are thinking about doing with the curse wombs. Let me save you the trouble. Nothing!" he said and smiled.
"Listen here…"
"Oh? Does someone have the balls to interrupt me?" he demanded. His eyes bore into the elder who dared to speak up against him, his face flushed white as Suiryu continued to stare him down. "There is a small bit of bravery in that winkled flesh of yours… that or it was your foolishness showing. I see that far more than any act of courage to say the least…"
Silence befell the room. "That's better, now, the brothers… are under my protection. They are not out to harm or destroy they merely wish to be a family. Their assistance during battle was greatly needed and appreciated, for they were able to bide time so the wounded could be pulled back and tended to. If you are to judge them for what they are known for, then so be it. You do that anyways when it comes to my brother and I. But, I warn you. You dare raise your hands against the nine, things will not end well for any of you!" he warned.
"They are nine curse wombs, what's the threat?" one elder demanded.
Suiryu smirked. "Yuuji and I consider them to be family, and they consider us to be blood brothers. We are rather close as such, so, strike them. We strike back," he said. "Simple as that,"
"Wait, are you saying…" Yaga began to ask.
"Yes, the curse wombs are our brothers. I will not give details as to how they came about, but know that they are our siblings. I am taking responsibility for them, so their care and comfort fall under me… not you."
"What are you going to do with them?"
Suiryu glared at the one who asked such a thing. "Do with them? Nothing," he protested. "They helped us for we are family, right now, all they want to do is stay together and be as brothers should. So with that, leave them the hell alone!"
He turned to leave, but paused. "If any of you consider going behind our backs on this, I assure you… I will make your deaths as slow as possible."
The moment he left, there was a collective sigh of relief, Yaga on the other hand knew this may have just made matters worst for him.
The elders were quick to get back to the matter at hand. "It appears… they are going to be tended to. So… for the moment… we will not be pushing to do anything against the curse wombs as long as they do not attack us or innocent civilians." The eldest stated.
Yaga merely nodded his head as he was dismissed from the meeting.
It still didn't sit well with him, it takes Suiryu to speak to the elders to get a valid point across, and yet his words are no longer being taken seriously…
