This is the 35th chapter. Sorry about that, my laptop got broke so I'm using the tablet which it's only temporarily until I get a new one. Anyway, I don't own the series of Maken-Ki.
Okino Island, Forest Area
When Himegami finished her story of her dark past, both Zane and Takeru were completely shocked with horror since Kousou have done something that was so cruel and malice as she spoke.
"That's all I know." Himegami said. "After that, the Seal on Amanohara was never broken. Not even the ancient scrolls in Tenbi nor the sages mentioned what actually happened. If he knows about it, then he's-"
"Correct! I am Takeru Yamato." Yamato admits with a smirk.
'So that's why he wanted Himegami for this Habakiri and the world. Kousou have became the founder of Kamigari and became the tyrant in Japan. He just wanted to rule the world with his 'Soul Collector' ability.' Zane mentally thought, scowling at Yamato.
'If that's true, that would mean he killed Himegami's brother.' Takeru mentally thought, glaring at him as he spoke. "No way! I don't believe you! You'll have to prove to me that you are really Takeru Yamato!"
That got Zane sighed with annoyance, knowing that Takeru was too stubborn.
"If you're telling the truth, you should look-OW!"
Zane have heard enough of his ranting when be bonked his head real hard, leaving him a massive bump on his head.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?" Takeru yelled, rubbing his sore head.
"Don't you ever shut up?!" Zane retorts with his serious expression. "Geez, you need to realize that not everything goes your way. Also, you need to lay off of your perverted thoughts and strange thoughts for once."
"I have to agree on this." Himegami agrees, causing Takeru to face fault down to the ground. "Don't worry, I won't lose, not even to my brother because you're here, Takeru, Zane."
"Huh? Me?" Takeru asks with confusion.
"What do you mean?" Zane asks curiously.
"When I first met you, I thought you were related to Takeru Yamato because you had the crest of Tomoe on your chest, but when I saw you activate 'Blood Pointer', I realized that you were related to my father and my brother." Himegami explains, leaving Takeru shocked as she then turned to Zane. "When I also first met you, I thought you were a loner who wanted solitude, but you were indeed like a lion who would be willing to risk your life to fight against terrorists, Maken users, and Kamigari so we can have a bright future."
That got Zane shocked, knowing that Himegami was right as Yamato then used his Koto-Dama ability to fire at the three, causing Takeru to jump while Zane sliced it with his gunblade, but Himegami barely manage to dodge which it grazed her arm.
"Himegami! Who ends up winning?" Takeru shouts, wanted to know who wins the fight.
"It doesn't matter who ends up winning." Yamato told them. "The problem is, that woman is neither a human nor a god. She is something that escaped from the seal, and took the form of Kodama Himegami. She's nothing but a doll."
Both Zane and Takeru then noticed the wound from Himegami's arm which the blood wasn't red, but green light.
"So, Himegami's blood is her Element?!" Takeru exclaimed with shock.
"That body is made of what's left of the real Kodama Himegami." Yamato told them. "But the question is, how did she manage to escape from the seal?"
"Well, I do apologize." Himegami sarcastically apologized with a smirk, remembered being seal for so long.
'About the seal. I...want to forget about it already. How many years have passed since I was sealed away? Since I woke up...in this dark emptiness? The only things left in me are...my thoughts...hearing...and vision. But...I've already lost my body and my consciousness is only floating about in the darkness. Nothing can be used in such overwhelming darkness...But my wish came true. A ray of light pierced through the darkness as if form a tiny window. and through the window, I saw...'
Himegami then remembered when she saw something beautiful about the land and the sky. She also remembered seeing the different seasons since years have past.
'A most spectacular view as far as the eye could see. It was probably the view from Amanohara, where I was sealed away. Having done nothing but drift around in the darkness for so long, I was astounded by the view of the four seasons. But one year passed me by...and then three, ten, twenty years had come to pass. But ultimately, nothing changed, so at long last, I lost interest. Not only that, I lost sight of the outside world, and I lost track of time.'
Himegami then remembered that some people have come to Amanohara to try and rob the Original Eight Maken which many have tried, but neither of them prevailed only because the shikigami's fought them. What brings her to sadness was that she will never her brother again and the hatred of Takeru Yamato lives on.
'One day, visitors started appearing out of nowhere before the seal. I couldn't see them, but I could hear their footsteps. They were probably robbers who's heard about Habakiri...Their efforts were futile. All those who attempt to breach this seal of Eight Maken will only end up being slaughtered by the Shikigami, or so my mother said. Nothing mattered to me anymore. Both my love and hatred for my brother who locked me away, as well as my fury towards Takeru Yamato lived on in me. Thanks to them, the seal was never broken. I will never see my brother again, and I'll be stuck in here forever...If I'd known that I would never see them again with my own two eyes, I would've just died then. At this rate, I will soon forget the faces of those I hold most dear. Here in thie complete hollowness...This absolute solitariness. Little by little, my heart started to break down, and my consciousness slowly began to suppress itself, almost as if I'd given up thinking altogether.'
Himegami then remembered what Tenbi was like which it was in the modern times. Something that she have never seen before and how the seal has slowly broken which Minori was the one who fought against three Shikigami's.
'Even I don't know how much time has passed when...A roar brought me back to reality. There, right before my eyes was...Something I'd never seen before. There and then, a new world unfolded before me. What...are those...? That girl's clothes...and those books...shiny buildings...built...so close together...I want to wear those clothes and read those books. I want to go out there... and explore that place. Somehow...my voice managed to reach that person...I didn't know her, but she heard my wish and came to break the seal. When I thought about the seal, I realized it was foolish for me to even think of leaving.'
Himegami then remembered that three Shikigami's were defeated were none other than Katgutsuchi, Nozuchi, and Ikatsuchi which she haven't seen them since 2000 years when she was sealed. However, she also remembered that the seal was cracking and used her Element to create the image of herself to escape the seal.
'After that, the seal slowly began to crack, and my Element took shape. I created an image of me containing all of my thoughts.'
Everything she remembered was something she can never forget, even the dark past since 2000 years ago.
"That's fine, I will make you spit them out after I caught you soon...God or human...A lifeless person like you being saved by idiots will be gone." Yamato said with a malicious smirk.
"It's fine if you are hesitating...Takeru, Zane, I am sorry...I didn't mean to lie to you-"
Before Himegami could finish her sentence, Takeru rush towards Yamato from behind, readied his Axe Handle technique.
"I Don't Fucking Care If You're A God Or A Human!" Takeru yelled with anger as he was about to hit Yamato, causing him to block that attach, but it caused some shockwave to make the crater. "What Matters Isn't That!"
"Starving demon...What have you heard?" Yamato questions. "Or are those ears only decorative?"
Leo then used his Maken to shock Yamato while Zane then used his 'Mystic Flurry' to freeze and shock Yamato, causing him to turn his head.
"Don't you get it!?" Leo shouts with a glare. "That guy...He's just a damn brat who won't move by logic or reason."
"He's just too much of a hardass and never listens." Zane added seriously.
Takeru then leap in front of him while delivering a sidekick to the stomach, causing Yamato to cough in pain while being pushed away.
"Don't get too carried away-"
When Yamato was about to use his Koto-Dama ability, Takeru deliver him an uppercut to the chin, caused him to cough a bit of his blood.
"Duck...You...Do you not...get bit...to me...to me-"
"I Told You! i Don't Care!" Takeru yelled while punching him in the stomach. "What's Important...Is not what you think about Himegami! Who Is She? She Is Our Friend! We won't abandon her. We'll help her, and fight alongside her! At least, that's what I've decided!"
That got her shocked since Takeru and Zane thinks of her as a friend and they will never abandon her as Zane then joins him.
"Burst Strike" Zane then strike Yamato with his gunblade, causing an explosive effect on him.
"Abdomen Tear" Zane then began to use his slash combo, tearing his abdomen.
"Savage Claw" Zane then began to jump and slash him multiple times, causing him to grit his teeth with pain.
"Fatal Frost" Zane then channeled his ice element on his gunblade, began to use his slash combo on him.
That caused Yamato sent flying up in mid-air while Himegami then began to channel her lightning element on the palm of her hand.
'Mother, Father, Brother...I wasn't able to fight at your side back then. That's why now, I must fight with these people whom I consider as my friends.' Himegami mentally thought as she then channeled her lightning element on the plam of her hand, charging after Yamato while delivering a fatal blow to his heart. "So long, my uncle, Takeru Yamato...Your life, and all those you've taken...I will carry them, on my shoulders in hell, someday."
With that, Yamato then collapses down towards the ground, resulted him dead.
"Y...You...You did it...You did it, my lady!" Leo shouts with a cheer, pumping his fist.
"Don't be so excited...I took someone's life...The Kamigari didn't leave us alone either." Himegami said.
"It doesn't matter, Himegami. You do what you have to and that's all that matters." Zane shook his head with a small smile.
"He's right, that was a completely legal act of self-defense." Leo agrees as he was planning to place his hand onto Himegam's shoulder, but noticed that her body trembles. "My lady..."
"Himegami." Takeru called her, earned their attention.
"I'm sorry...I made you carry my burden, and I lied to everyone." Himegami apologizes with a smile.
"Hey, hey, little lady." Leo said with a smile, earned her attention. "Shouldn't you be saying something else this time? Like 'Thanks for having my back' or 'friends'?"
"I...I get it okay!" Himegami shouts with a blush. "H-How should I say this...It's...'Thank you'...right?"
"You're welcome!" Takeru said with a smile while Zane gave her a nod.
"You're kind of cute and docile at times." Leo told her with a chuckle.
"T-That'll be the first and the last time, so don't you dare bring it up again! Stupid Leo!" Himegami shouts with annoyance.
That got them laughed of Himegami's remark as Zane then spoke.
"We should head back towards the others and tell them the news." Zane told them.
They agreed as they then began to head towards the beach and inform them about this situation. However, Yamato then began use his last of his strength to activate his 'Soul Collector' ability to find someone to possess the body.
Okino Island, Beach
Meanwhile at the beach, Syria have manage to use her 'Inverse' Jingu to turn the locals normal, but it'll only last on 30 minutes which it's not enough time. Haruko however, she was really angry when she grab hold of Otohime, placed her on her lap while given her a good spanking. Furan, Azuki, and Inaho went on to search for the staff members, Takeru, Himegami, and Zane in the forest.
"So, are you ready?" Haruko questions with her menacing glare.
"Do whatever you want!" Otohime said with fright expression. "But I'll never bow down to scum like you!"
"Very well...Are you ready?" Haruko asks, raising her hand and given her a good spanking, causing Otohime to scream. "Well then, you leave me no choice. I'm going to spank you until you spit out how to turn the island's residents back to normal!"
It took quite a while for Haruko to interrogate Otohime, but as far as they, she don't know how to turn them back to normal. But that didn't stop Haruko for spanking her though.
"Th-This is quite embarrassing, isn't it?" Syria asks with a smile.
"Indeed...Definitely not for the publics eye." Yuuka nods, stopped recording her phone. "But this is really quite troubling. It seems she really doesn't know how to turn them back to normal."
"Th-Then what's going to happen to them?" Kuuna asks with worry.
"They're in a normal state right now thanks to Syria's 'Inverse', but it won't last for long." Yuuka told her.
"I used too much Element casting it. I'm not sure if I can do it again." Syria said, playfully sticking her tongue.
"Then, they really used the moved that Take used against the giant octopus?" Haruko questions.
"It seems so...and I'm worried about Himegami and Zane as well." Yuuka said. "That giant clash of Elements just now, just hope nothing bad happened. Let's just leave that to the president and move on."
"Whaa~ Noo~ I wanted to go too-P
"SYRIA! BEHIND YOU!" Kimi interrupts with a shouts, causing Syria to turn her head to him.
When she look, Gouken wasn't here anymore when he used his Kotodama to fly in mid air which it caused a shockwave.
"He's still moving! Gouken Yamato!" Haruko shouts, covering her eyes with her arm.
"You got my costume all wet. I'll never forgive you." Syria said with anger.
However, Gouken then used his Kotodama at Syria, causing her to land flat with hard impact. He then used his Kotodama to fly himself towards the forest. Haruko, Kimi, and Kuuna were shocked to see that Gouken was strong enough to use Kotodama ability.
"He's headed in the same direction as the president." Kimi stated with shock.
"Kimi, take care of Syria! I'll go after Gouken!" Haruko shouts as she was about to leave, Yuuka stopped her when she grabbed her hand.
"You and Syria must stay here." Yuuka told her seriously. "If you two aren't here when the islanders start going crazy again, Kuuna and the others will be in great danger."
"Don't try to cheat!" Syria exclaimed, stood up. "I want to see Takeru too, you know."
"But I have to-"
Before Haruko could finish her sentence, Yuuka swiftly head towards where Furan and the others are at, but looked at Haruko with a smile.
"I'll go. Ninjas happen to be very good at scouting and delivering messages." Yuuka stated. "And in case an emergency should arise, my Maken would be more suitable. Please leave the president and the others to me."
With that, Yuuka went ahead towards the forest to find Furan and the others which the three have been assaulted by Gouken since he was heading the same direction as they were heading.
Okino Island, Forest Area
Himegami and Zane felt some strong element that was coming from somewhere far and it was coming this way. Zane knew this power too well which he failed to realize that Yamato have use his 'Soul Collector' ability to possess a body.
"What's wrong, missy?" Leo asks curiously.
"For a second there, I sensed a clash between elements." Himegami answered seriously.
"I felt that too." Zane added seriously. "Something tells me we're gonna be in for another fight."
Takeru then began to scream when he saw the corpse of Ouken, earned their attention.
"Wh-What's wrong!?" Himegami exclaimed.
"What made you scream out like a little girl?" Leo added with a question.
"W-Well...It's just that...look..." Takeru said with his nervous smile, pointing at the dead body.
They then look at the real Ouken that was dead, leaving Leo and Himegami widen their eyes with shock.
"This face...This body..." Himegami said, taking a few steps back.
"He seems so different from when we saw him before." Takeru stated.
"That's because this is the real Ouken." Zane told them. "The 'Ouken' we saw earlier have possessed him with the 'Soul Collector'."
"He's right...He's the Ouken from ten years ago." Leo agrees, earned their attention. "I remember seeing him once when I was still in school. He seemed like a worn out, but nice old man."
"So, he's not the Takeru Yamato we just saw-"
Before Takeru could finish his sentence, he then noticed a strong element that was coming here.
"Did you notice?" Himegami questions seriously.
"Yes. Somewhat." Takeru nods seriously. "Someone with a strong element is headed our way."
He was right when they saw 'Gouken' rushed after them, leaving them shocked when they saw him as he then deliver a knee at Takeru. He manage to block him by grabbing his knee, but he felt that strong impact from that knee while 'Gouken' then kicked him in the face. Takeru manage to land right next to Leo, causing the two to crash in between the trees as Takeru then manage to slow down by stomping the ground with his foot.
"You alright?" Takeru asks, panting.
"That's Suppose To Be My Line!" Leo shouts with a sweatdrop, smacking him at the back of his head.
"Dammit! I let my guard down...I didn't think he would be that strong." Takeru cursed while pulling his foot off the ground.
"He should be somewhere between A-Class and S-Class according the information at Kamigari." Leo told him. "But it's almost like he's-"
Before Leo could finish his sentence, 'Gouken' was ready to assault the two, but Himegami then leap against him by channeling her lightning element from hand. When she about to kill him, 'Gouken' sense her by grabbing her hand and cancel her element, much to her dismay as he was about use Kotodama."
"Lightning Shot" Zane fired his lightning bullet at 'Gouken', causing him to grit his teeth when he felt the shock from his body. Himegami have manage to land from the ground when she leap back.
"Thanks Zane." Himegami thanked him, earned a nod from him.
Zane knew that something was off about 'Gouken', realizing that he was none other than Takeru Yamato as he then began to feel the reflex of his new body.
"I'm getting more used to this than I'd imagined." Yamato said with a smirk, stretching his body. "Instead of waiting for that old body to regain it's power, I should've just entered this one first."
That got Himegami shocked with horror as she was about to ask, but Zane cuts in.
"In other words, you've used that 'Soul Collector' to possess Gouken's body so you fight against us once more." Zane said with a scowl, figured it out. "You are way more sinister than I thought you are."
Yamato then began to lean his body, turned his head upside down with his sinister smirk on his face.
"Well, well, it seems you already figured it out, I'm impressed." Yamato said. "But you're right, I've used the 'Soul Collector' to possess the boy's body which I've find it more intrigued and you've already know who I am."
Himegami was then shocked with horror, knew that the one who possessed Gouken's body was Takeru Yamato.
Kamigari HQ
Meanwhile at the Kamigari HQ, Team Venus began to fight against Kamigari which they were outmatched by Yan's lightning ability and Demitra's water ability since the two were the most powerful adversaries. Gen and Akaya were having some serious conversation about Ouken, Yamato, and the dark history of Kamigari as he spoke.
"I get that this Takeru Yamato guy proclaimed himself Ouken after staying alive for a couple 1000 years. I just know this Ouken guy really had his shit together and always had guards with him. And Yomatsuri and Kamigari should've noticed when Ouken changed." Gen pointed out seriously. "So does that mean Takeru Yamato was Ouken from the very beginning?"
"Perhaps." Akaya answered, flicked his cowlick hair. "Let's not get hasty now, the answers are just up ahead."
Gen then scowled at him with annoyance while crossing his arms. They then continued to head towards to that room.
"What're we gonna find in this damn basement?" Gen questions impatiently. "Stop Stalling, Just Tell Us!"
"Hasty as always I see." Akaya shrugs, unleashed his Maken as he then explains. "Takeru Yamato's ability, 'Soul Collector' allows him to control people's spirits. Not just others-"
Akaya then used his Swindle Maken to fire the doors, causing the doors to collapse down to the floor while revealing the room.
"But also his own." Akaya finished his sentence.
Gen then widened his eyes with shock and horror when he saw the room full of pods and the plant that was implanted in this room. He fully recognize those people that were from Tenbi, including the one that looks just like Himegami.
"What the hell...is this?" Gen questions.
"It's a human experimentation plant that utilizes Makens and Elements." Akaya told him.
"Why would something like that be-"
"Takeru Yamato can use his ability to place his spirit into other bodies." Akaya interrupts, working on the computer. "However, just like with an organ transplant, an incompatible body would reject his spirit and all of his power would be lost. That's why he's creating the perfect clones."
When he finished the computer, the pod was then descended down, revealing the pod and the body that was none other than the clone of Himegami.
