Portgas D. Naruto
A few days had passed since the incident with Naruto and Ricky and the Whirlpool Pirates had spent a few days at the palace just relaxing before continuing their journey on the Grandline. "It's great to see another person so interested with my recipes! There was another one like you with curly eyebrows but other than you two no one had approached me about it!" Terracotta spoke to the Whirlpool Pirates chef as he silently chuckled before bowing once she handed him a copy of recipes for Alabastian cuisine.
"Wait Yuri you can cook that!?" Reeve asked the man as he smiled and nodded. "That's great! All of the food you cooked for us Terracotta tasted wonderful! I really look forward to being able to have it on the ship!" Reeve continued to voice to the two
Yuri grinned as Terracotta laughed, "It's no problem! By the way have you all packed up?" She asked the youngest member of the crew
"Just about. We only need a few more things before we leave." Gem answered as he tied up a bag and threw it over his shoulder
"Oi! What happened to that kid? I thought he wanted to kill us or something'" Russ asked to the group as he attended to his hobby of polishing his weapons
Kinshiki chuckled as he sheathed his sword. "If you were paying attention marksman-baka you would know that he ran off right after the incident a few days ago." The samurai answered before he cut a bullet aimed for his torso
"Shoot I missed." Russ responded as he then lowered his gun
The two then broke out into an argument and were hitting one another as the rest of the crew did their own thing. "I really hope he's okay, I hope that he wasn't hurt after we came back here. I know he didn't exactly like us but his heart was in the right place trying to defend his country." Lucy said to the group as they all nodded
Rose then clasped both of her cheeks with her hands. "What if he was eaten by a monster after he left!" She exclaimed with shock as Pedro sighed
"There you go jumping to the wrong conclusion again. I'm just happy the Captain was able to use the technique I taught him-gara!" The leopard mink stated proudly
"So you taught him that lightning redirection?" The first mate of the crew asked the mink
He nodded, "Yes, it's a very useful technique to have that is exclusive to Elecro users. He told me that his body is really susceptible to electric attacks being made of water so he wanted to be able to control the flow of electricity to be able to redirect it away from himself. But we haven't been able to perfect it enough to be able to use in a fight." Pedro explained to the crew who nodded
"Still that he's able to use it in general is nothing short of amazing." Lucy complimented. "And you're an amazing teacher as well Pedro! You too Kinshiki!" Lucy continued to say
Kinshiki immediately stopped trading punches with Russ and ran over to her. "Arigatou Lucy-chan! It's only been a few days but the Naruto-taichou has gotten a lot better with his father's sword then I have dreamed. I hope to be able to teach him what I have learned in the art of the sword." The swordsman stated to them
"Where is he anyway?" Asked Kiji as he leaned against the wall
"Ah I can answer that! He's just watching his brother, who is with the princess!" Terracotta finished as the whole crew covered their mouths and grinned
"With the princess you say!" They all chorused smiling before they all quickly ran after their captain
With Naruto. . .
Naruto watched through a crack in the door as he laughed with Cobra by his side. "Look at that Cobra!" He said with a whisper
The man looked and chuckled himself. "I can't believe Vivi talked him into doing that!" The King chuckled
Noise could be heard behind them as the two men saw the entire crew running down the hallway towards them. "Shhhhhh!" The two voiced as they both put their finger up to their lips
They all stopped and began to sneak over to them. "What's going on?" Lucy asked her captain
"Why are we whispering?" Gem added
"Shhhh! Just look!" Naruto told them as one by one they looked through the key hole and saw what all the commotion was about
The crew struggled to stop their laughing as they looked in to see Vivi braiding Ace's hair. "More tea Ace?" Vivi asked the boy
"Why yes Vivi!" He answered her
Outside the room Kiji spoke up as he looked into the keyhole. "Are they having a tea party?" He asked
"It would seem so!" Naruto laughed
A half a day later. . .
"Anyway thank you!" Naruto yelled out as Cobra waved goodbye
"Feel free to come back anytime friend!" Cobra yelled back to him
Vivi then ran past her father a little and yelled out to the crew. "Goodbye Ace! I'll see you soon!"
"Bye Vivi!" He answered back to her
"Pell, Chaka! Next time we meet you two better be ready for a rematch!" The Pirate King told the two top guards as they smiled
"You'll never beat me in a drinking game you scoundrel!" Chaka teased as Pell paled a bit thinking of the hangover he had from spending his time with the King of the Pirates
He sighed, "Don't remind me."
"Thank you for everything guys!" Lucy then voiced to the King as the ship began to set off into the sea
Some time passed and the Alabastian shore was eventually out of sight before all of the crew resumed their jobs on the ship. A few hours passed before the crew had gathered once again between another one of Kinshiki and Russ's challenges to one another. "So what is it this time you bastard!" Russ asked the Wano native
"Arm wrestling!" He stated
Russ laughed, "You honestly think you can beat me in arm wrestlin'?"
"I know I can Baka!" Kinshiki retorted as Yuri moved one of the barrels from Alabasta over to the middle of the deck and sat it down
The two got on either side before Rose walked up to them and brought both of their hands together over the barrel. "Okay! I want a nice clean match okay!" She told both sides as they both glared into each others eyes
"C'mon Kinshiki!" Lucy shouted from her lawn chair seated on the deck
Reeve shook Russ's shoulders. "C'mon Russ! I got 100 beli on you!" He explained
"You shoulda bet on Kinshiki Reeve!" Ace joined in saying
The marksman then shooed the younger man away before looking back at Kinshiki with a glare. "Alright!"
"Ready!"
"Set!"
"Go!"
Rose finished as she let go of there hands and the muscles on both men then pulsed as they both tried to overtake the other. "Give up now and I'll let you keep your pride marksman!" Kinshiki told Russ with struggle in his voice
"Keep dreamin'!" Russ responded
Eventually the two put so much pressure on the barrel that it split open revealing the form of one 9 year old child whom the crew had already been acquainted with a few days prior.
"WHAT!?/NANI!?" All of the crew shouted out in shock at seeing Ricky rub the top of his brown haired head
"What's happening is everything okay. . .WHAT THE HELL IS THIS KID DOING HERE!?" Naruto yelled out as he saw Ricky on the floor rubbing his head
They all watched him as he got up and dusted himself off. "What're you all looking at?" He asked them with a raised brow before he looked behind himself to see if there was someone standing behind him
"YOU!" Everyone answered back to him
He stood there silently before he rubbed the back of his head. "Ohhh right." He responded as the crew face faulted
"So why'd ya come here kid!?" Russ asked the boy
He frowned, "I came here on my own free will! Your captain saved me! So it's only right that I join his crew and help him out as best I can to repay me debt to him!" Ricky stated, explaining to the crew about his honour code
"A young one that holds his honor with such high regards! Truly something to look up to!" Kinshiki stated with tears of passion in his eyes
"We can't possibly keep him on board, can we?" Lucy asked to the crew
Gem nodded, "He's only what 9 years old. We have top tier Pirates and Marines coming after us daily. He'll only slow us down and get himself killed." The helmsmen explained to the crew as Ricky clenched his jaw
"I'm not weak you Pirate! I have an ability that helps me fight! Something you don't have!" Ricky told the helmsman who just took of his glove and showed the boy his hand
Ricky watched with wide eyes as the man's hand was coated in haki and then his confidence retreated. "The ability you're talking about is armament haki, an ability anyone can use with practice." Gem told the boy
All the while the crew debated with the child Naruto watched him intently. "It's fine." He said as everyone stopped what they were saying and looked at their captain
"W-what!?" Rose voiced to him
"It's fine." He said again as he stood up and walked to Ricky, putting a hand on his shoulder. "He told me on the roof of the palace that his family died, he has no where else to go. Besides I was born on a pirate ship, and travelled with the Roger Pirates under the care of my mother since I was conceived." Naruto finished as Ricky smiled
"But Captain!? What if we get into a fight!? You can't really hope he'll be able to take on anyone!" Pedro told Naruto
Ace nodded, "I gotta agree, he's too likely to get hurt or worse." He said
"I know." Naruto agreed. "That's why I'm going to train him to use his haki properly. Besides Pedro, Ace both of you were very dangerous when you were his age. Pedro you were in your tribe's military and Ace you were getting your ass kicked by me." He explained as Pedro nodded and Ace grew shark teeth and grew angry
Reeve lightly punched his friend's arm. "Ha! Chump!" He teased the user of the Mera Mera no mi
"That is if you're okay with that Ricky? If you're not I'll consider your debt repaid right now and take you back to Alabasta." Naruto told the boy and he broke away from his hand on his shoulder and turned again to face him with a smile
"No way! I'm staying here! And I'm making it my job to help you whichever way I can while I'm here!" The kid expressed as the members of the crew smiled at the new ball of energy that they had inducted into the crew
Naruto laughed, "Well then it's settled, you're gonna join us in our journey!"
"Speaking of journey, where are we going next?" Asked the fishman and Naruto chuckled as he walked to the front of the ship with his back facing the crew
"Cobra showed me something else when we were in Alabasta, another Ponoglyph. It spoke of a land far off that had angels and gold. . .we're going. . ." Naruto began as he turned around with a smile as his hand pointed upwards. ". . .to the sky!" He finished
Gem raised a brow, "Are you sure there's anything even up there?" He asked his captain
Naruto chuckled once again. "We'll be finding out soon enough, looks like the clouds are rolling in like the Ponoglyph explained!" He stated as the crew watched the sky begin to become black
"What the. . .the log pose?! It's pointing up?!" Lucy yelled out as she clutched the pose
"How do ya even expect to get up there!?" The marksman yelled at his captain
Kinshiki just looked to the sky, "Angels you say. . ." He spoke out
"These aren't storm clouds, I sense no lightning within them!" Pedro yelled back to Lucy
"The Ponoglyph told of a Knock-up Stream, but why go looking for one when you can make your own!" Naruto laughed as he raised his fist before slamming it against the deck
The whole crew looked at him for a second with a questioning face. "Eh?" They all voiced before the water beneath them began to rumble and shot them into the air at brake neck speeds

"Hold onto something!" Rose yelled as RIM held onto her goggles as it blew
Lucy started to scold Naruto as he and the rest of the boys flew back, "Did you honestly think this was a good idea!?" She yelled out
He laughed, "Sometimes you gotta live life in the fast lane!" He exclaimed holding onto the railing at the back of the ship with each other crew member holding onto eachother's ankle as they all blew in the wind off the back of the ship
"Don't you dare let go ya bastard!" Russ yelled at Kinshiki who looked like he was going to throw up as he held onto Yuri's ankle
Pedro was a noodle as he blew around and screamed. Reeve was the same as he held tightly to Ace's leg. "How long till we get there!?" Reeve yelled out to his captain
"I don't even know if we're in the right spot!" Naruto answered him with a laugh
Ricky clutched the Pirate King's leg with his life. "I wanna go home, I wanna go home. I wanna go home." He kept repeating not letting go of Naruto's leg
Yuri too looked like he was going to throw up and held his spare hand to his mouth as he looked behind him only to see the form of Kinshiki flapping in the wind and a glare Russ shot him. "Don't ya even think about it!" He told the giant man
"We're getting really close to those clouds!" Pedro warned the group
Rose went wide eyed, "What if these clouds are like as hard as rocks and break the ship!?" She panicked
"Don't worry I got it!" Naruto told him as he separated the clouds with his fruit and the Great Wave shot right through the hole. Like magic all of the darkness had gone away and it was replaced by sunlight. The whole crew looked to their right as they flew through the air and saw an island filled with lush greenery and upon a further glance they saw some people standing there in shock and awe of the submarine shooting right through the White White Sea.
The Great Wave continued sailing through the air until the ship was right above the giant forest of the sky island below. All of the people standing on the island looked up and saw the ship with the bright sun behind them. The shadow of all of the boys hanging off the back of the ship broadcasted far and wide for all to see. Eventually, the ship reached its peak and began to fall towards the cloud sea. "Hold on tight!" Pedro said as he didn't let go of Gem's leg
The boat crashed into the clouds which knocked clouds up and the whole crew with the exception of Lucy and Rose who were still on the boat crashed against the back of the ship. Eventually all of the boys made it back onto the boat panting as Naruto chuckled, "Talk about an entrance eh?" He smiled before being punched square in the face
"What the hell did you think you were doing Portgas D. Naruto!?" Lucy yelled at him as blood poured out of his nose
The whole crew walked to the front of the ship and looked a the marvellous island in front of them. "W-what is that!?" Asked Ricky, rubbing his eyes in disbelief
"That my friend is an island." Gem explained to the boy
"In the sky? How is it possible?" Lucy questioned the logic of it
Pedro got up and fell right back to his knees. "At this point I just role with it." He said looking at the ground battling his headache from being flung around
"Look there are people on the shoreline! Wait one's coming straight for us!" Reeve yelled out as he reached for his pistol as the rest of the crew began to get on the defensive
Ricky looked at Naruto who was still shaking his head from Lucy's punch. "Captain Captain!" He spoke to the man before he pulled out his own knife and got it ready
Suddenly an old man had landed on the deck of the Great Wave where the crew was, riding a sort of bird thing. Beside him was another who was much younger who came over to the ship via skates which rode on the clouds. "State your business!" The younger of the two demanded of the crew as he lifted what looked to be a gun up and aimed it at the group
"We're just passin' through! But if you keep aimin' that thing at us we're gonna have a problem!" Russ told the young man who immediately aimed the weapon at Russ who returned the gesture with aiming both of his pistols at the man
The older of the two stepped off of his animal and put his hand on the younger's weapon and pushed it down. "Don't be so easy to fight Wyper, these people mean us no harm." The old man spoke to the now named Wyper
"But Gan Fall! These blue sea dwellers can pose a threat to us!" Wyper warned as he just dismissed his concern
"True, but I know these people. At least that one over there." Gan Fall said as he pointed at Naruto who was getting to his feet
"Eh! He knows the Captain!?" The crew yelled out as Naruto rubbed his head, standing up
Naruto squinted at Gan Fall. "You seem familiar old timer, do I know you?" He asked the older man
Gan Fall nodded, "It's been a long time little one! I trust you don't remember me but my name is Gan Fall. Heso!"
Naruto raised a brow at the strange word before he let it go and listened to Ga Fall who started to speak again. "You came here a long time ago Naruto, when you were very young. On your father's ship. . .I remember it as if it were last week when he came." Gan Fall continued to say
Flashback. . .
"Oi Gan Fall! Wanna get in on this!" Gol. D Roger yelled over to his new friend who he had been eating with
Gan Fall looked over with a confused look. "What are you doing Roger?" He asked
Roger grinned holding Naruto in his hand. "Kid fight! Naruto verses Momo!" Roger explained to him as another man piped up
"Momonosuke will not lose Roger! He is a Kozuki! And my pride! Momonosuke bring honour to our family!" The man yelled out, the last part to his child as another man laughed
"Oden, you're getting way to dramatic!" Gaban told his fellow crewmate who smiled back to him
"Captain I got 5 beri on Naruto!" A red haired boy yelled to Roger as another blue haired boy shoved him
The other boy got in his face. "I was gonna bet on Naruto you idiot!" He spoke in anger
The two started going at it until yet another man stepped in to take care of the problem by hitting them both over the head. "Calm down! Shanks, Buggy!" He said addressing the two respectively. "Give me 10 beli on Momonosuke!" Rayleigh finished
"Bold of you to go against the Captain Rayleigh, I want 10 beli on Naruto." Said Spencer, another member of the Roger Pirates
"What is the point of this game?" Asked Gan Fall before Roger grinned
He clasped his hands together. "The point is to pit both of them together to see who will come out on top! Don't worry they're not really fighting, well that's a lie. These two go at it all the time so well why not make a game out of it!" Roger explained to Gan Fall as the older man laughed
"I see friend." He said as he watched Roger get his own son ready
"C'mon son you got this. . ..no no no don't play with Daddy's moustache, you have to fight Momonosuke!" Roger told Naruto as he pulled on his father's facial hair
The few month old Naruto chuckled, "Daddy's funny!" He voiced before Roger lifted him up
"Oi Roger, Naruto not in it to win it!?" Oden teased as Roger laughed
"Just you wait Oden! Naruto will win!" The Captain of the ship spoke
The Wano native laughed, "You can dream! I'll even make a wager of my own! If your son wins I'll offer him my daughter's hand in marriage! Besides she's already taken a liking to the little guy!"
Roger laughed, "Whatever you say Oden!"
"Ready!" The two men yelled out
"Three!" Oden began as they both lined the two up and the whole crew watched immediately to see the two children take an instant distaste to one another
"Two!" Roger spoke as he brought Naruto to the deck and allowed his feet to touch the ground
"One!" They both said as they released the children
"Go!" The two then wobbled at each other
Inside of the ship both Rouge and Toki sat with Inuarashi and Nekomamushi. "What is all that noise-gara?" The lion mink asked out loud as Inuarashi stuck up his ear to listen better
"Sounds like chanting! Maybe there's a game on the deck! Let's go!" The dog mink said excitedly as both minks ran out the door
As they ran out Gan Fall walked in for another drink of water. "Enjoying yourself Gan Fall?" Rouge asked the man sweetly as he nodded with a smile under his beard
"Yes, this game Roger showed me. Is it popular with blue sea folk?" He asked the ladies as they both looked at hi puzzled
"What game?" Toki asked him
Back outside Roger saw as Naruto collapsed on top of Momonosuke which declared his son the winner. "Noooo! Momo!" Oden yelled out in despair as he picked up his son back into his arms. "The next one is ours!" He continued
"Ha! I won Oden!" Roger cheered with glee as he tossed Naruto up and caught him. "Well done my son!" He congratulated the child as he smiled and reached for his father's moustache again
"Sweetheart?" Asked a sweet female voice as Roger recognized it and turned around to face Rouge. "What are you doing with our son?" She asked him sweetly again as he laughed
"Rouge Naruto just won a fight. . ." He didn't get to finish before he was bonked on the head
Oden began to panic as he saw Toki walk out of the ship with Hiyori in hand before she spoke, "Oden-kun." She said
"Did you do the same?" She asked as he began to sweat before being hit on the head as well
Both mother's scooped up their children and walked back into the ship before Gaban stood up. "Once again, both Rouge and Toki win! Who bet on the ladies can I see a show of hands!?" The man asked the crew
While this was all happening Gan Fall stood by the entrance of the ship. "You blue sea people are sure fun." He spoke softly with a smile
Back to present. . .
As Gan Fall recounted what happened the crew began to laugh. Naruto just sighed as he remembered it vaguely, his time being on the Roger Pirate's ship being a blur to him. "So Naruto, what did Daddy's moustache feel like?!" Reeve teased as the crew laughed harder
"Ha Ha hilarious!" Naruto said sarcastically
After a minute or two the laughter died down and Naruto asked the old man. "By the way, where exactly are we?" He asked
"This my friend is Upper Yard, and you are welcome to come in if you'd like." Gan Fall told the crew as Wyper turned the other way and was ready to go back to the shore of Upper Yard
"Is that okay with your buddy there?" Gem asked the old man
Wyper responded, "If Gan Fall trusts you then so do I, welcome to Upper Yard." He spoke before returning
