Believe Again: Final Note
Hello, Sherms here! Thanks for reading this story all the way to the end. I started writing this fic in January 2017, and it feels so long ago now. I started in my first semester as a university student, and now I'm in my final semester. It's kind of bittersweet knowing that this fic accompanied me on quite the milestone journey in life.
Honestly I still don't really dare to read this story from start to end because there are parts of it that I hate but also too lazy to edit. Also, I Googled the average length of novels and yeah you just read an entire novel LMAO. One that was made over 4 years with many, many breaks and hiatuses in between.
I thought I wouldn't get to finish this story because the plot in the middle was incredibly tedious and difficult to get through, I hope it didn't feel that way reading it (but what would I know, I can't check the pacing for myself bc I'm too chicken to go back and read it all and cringe at myself lol). The only reason I managed to push through was because of the people who stayed to read this, to leave comments asking for updates and encouraging me to continue. Thank you to everyone who supported me through this journey in one way or another. :)
I'm not sure if I'll write an epilogue. I definitely had some plans in mind, but I won't make any promises. Somehow it's like every time I say I'll get to something quickly, I end up taking ages to do it, but then when I say I'll need a lot of time to do updates I end up being crazy productive in a few days… So yeah. NO PROMISES. I'm putting it out there for the universe so it doesn't curse me!
Welp, that's it for Believe Again. I've finished some multi-chap fics before but my longest one took me 1.5 years. This brat took me 4 years to complete. :O I'll have both fond and painful memories from this lol. Mostly fond ones, I don't think I've ever gotten this much reader engagement on a fic, nor have I ever made as many people cry on a fic HAHAHA (your pain brings me so much joy, no offense).
I'd still love to hear your thoughts on this fic, the ending, and the things in between. I'll be checking my inbox regularly bc honestly that's the only thing left I can do for this story LOL (and also because I'm restless as heck).
