d8rkforcen1ght7: Already got some ideas in the works, my friend. And glad to hear you love chapter.
Panther-10: Awesome idea you have. Whether or not it's gonna be used, I can't say, but it's great idea, man.
Kylo Ren: Glad to hear, my friend. Apologies for using English to reply to you, my French is more than rusty, practically ancient at this point.

I am a sick bastard, people.
So, without further ado… The last chapter of Chaos on Earth-2…
ENJOY!
Chapter 38: Drawbacks of a Race.
He finally made it.
A year ago, Seth was hurled into another Earth when he tried to sacrifice himself to save his family and their home world. He would have given his life for them, for their home any time. And he'd make that choice again.
Venom ran along the rooftops of a building before leaping off it and onto another one.
After fighting tooth and nail on Earth-2, fighting for not only his survival but also the survival of his daughters, to escape Zoom, defeating Blackfire, a notorious human trafficker with inhumane abyssal black flames, capturing Dollmaker, a serial killer who killed innocent women, and protecting his friends, Seth Fury made his way back home to Earth-1, the home of his family…
The new world he calls home…
To protect Caitlin… The love of his life… his daughters… Evelyn, Frankie and Ruby…
He looked around in search.
"NO!"
Seth took heed of the faint sound of someone shouting in despair. He jumped towards that destination.
But when he finally returned home, Seth felt like it was still Earth-2. He still had to deal with Zoom and his numerous metahuman goons after he returned home as he continued to threaten his loved ones and his home. And though he couldn't do anything to actually destroy Zoom because he made a personal deal.
And he hated it.
Zoom's still standing because he… He couldn't kill him because of that deal.
And now… he feared that he made a mistake when he didn't kill the evil speedster in their previous fights.
Standing in front of the house where he heard Barry scream in despair, Seth ran his eyes over the house when he realized he felt a sense of familiarity at the sight of it. He put it together, tightening his hold on his sword.
"Barry's house." He recalled; he knew it was the house where Barry's mother was killed. Jumping through the door, he rolled on the floor before his form shrunk down to be a skin-tight version of his form. Rushing into the household, he came to a stop when he saw Henry Allen's body fall to the ground…
Barry rushed to his father who stuttered and stammered. "Dad? Hey! Hey! Hey, look at me. Look at me. Dad. Don't leave. Not again. Not again. Dad!" He tried to keep his father awake as best as he could.
"Henry…" Seth and Venom let out sadly.
He listened as Barry continued to keep his father awake. "Come on. Come on. Come on. It's all right. No. Dad."
While Barry continued to sob for her dying father and Seth stood lifeless as a statue, Hunter walked around the Scarlet Speedster who continued to call out to his father. At this point it was a miracle his voice hadn't gotten hoarse yet.
But Barry finally stopped when he saw his father stop breathing. "No, Dad."
Hunter chuckled. "I told you family was a weakness." Barry tearfully turned his eyes up to meet the evil speedster's eyes. "You feel the anger, don't you, Flash? And now… The two of us are the same."
"You damn bastard…" Seth sneered, black smoke emanating from his mouth.
"No! No!" Barry tackled the evil speedster into a wall, pinning him against it.
"Barry, stop!" Seth called out to him.
"There you go, Flash!" Hunter tries to stoke the flame. "Use your anger, just like Seth… Just like I did." He pushed Barry off of him and ran away.
"Barr!" Venom called out to the speedster who nodded.
WHOOSH
The Flash grabbed the elemental by his shoulder and ran after Zoom.
X
While carrying Venom, Barry ran after the evil speedster. But suddenly Zoom turned a corner and ran out of their sight.
The Flash came to a stop and ran around in a circle, gaining momentum before coming to a stop and throwing Seth in the direction that Zoom ran.
Seth's form expanded till he stood in his full height as Venom. Tendrils shot out of his body and he used them to slingshot him further. He saw a strange flash of blue lightning further ahead of him, but he didn't see anything differently when he landed on the side of a building.
Thrusting out both arms, which split into million tendrils that came for Zoom at speed akin to projectiles shot out of bazookas. They somehow managed to wrap around Zoom's legs, making him trip on the ground. But it was only for a second when he was dragged up from the ground and into the air.
Releasing his hold on Zoom, Venom clenched his adamantium arm and sparked lightning around it before thrusting it into the evil metahuman's stomach and launched into a wall. His tendrils attached on the sides around him.
Zoom saw the tendrils around him tense up for a moment. Venom yanked himself close to him, his blazing and flaming feet thrusted outwards and smashed into the evil speedster, embedding him deeper into the wall. He grunted in pain.
Reeling back his right arm, the earth element in his appendage strengthened his bones and made his muscles bulge before he punched Hunter through the wall and sent him rolling in the building. He slid across the floor.
Venom entered the building, his humongous form barely fitting through the hole and he swung his sword around. Like a maniac he swung his sword around and got closer to the evil speedster with each swing. Zoom looked up and managed to dodge the next swing of his crystal sword.
… Inside of his partner's pocket dimension… the crystal marble shined… brightly…
"You are gonna regret that… Zoom!" He snarled.
Hunter chuckled. "Not exactly, Venom."
Before the mutant could swing down his sword for his head, Zoom sped away. Seth's sword drove into the floor, piercing through it. Looking through the nearest window, he saw the shine of his blue lightning reflecting off windows.
Returning to his full height, Venom muttered. "Where's he going?"
X
Barry determinedly chased the evil speedster. They turned down an alleyway and the Scarlet Speedster managed to use his anger, stopping in front of him and swept his legs, sending him to the ground and almost crashing into a wall.
"Almost" being the keyword.
Before he could even connect with it, The Flash ran towards him and picked him up. He slammed the evil speedster into an air conditioner, making it fall from the violent blow. As though time slowed to a crawl, Zoom managed to regain his focus and place himself on the wall like a spider. He looked up and saw Barry place himself on another conditioner as though it was a platform.
Zoom tried to attack him but Barry dodged and kicked him away. Jumping off the wall, the Scarlet Speedster grabbed him by the leg and fell to the ground with an increased momentum. Slamming him on the ground when landing, he hurled him into another wall.
Hunter fell to the ground in pain.
Barry sped to him, slamming his knee into his chest, keeping him from getting up with a fury of attacks. He clenched his fist, punching the side of his face. The blow sent him to the ground. With him on the ground and on his back, The Flash pulled off his cowl.
He threw the mask away before forcing the evil speedster back on his feet, holding him with one hand. Punching him a few times, Barry grabbed his face. "I got you, Zolomon!" He twisted and twirled him around, holding up his hand and vibrating his hand.
"Go on, Barry. Embrace your anger." Hunter told him, trying to spark his inner flames to burn strong enough to lay waste to an entire forest. Barry curled his fingers, so it looked like a claw. "End me!"
Despite his words to try and encourage him to follow his rage, Barry didn't even move a single muscle and he couldn't bring himself to strike him down.
PIERCE
But someone else beat him to the punch and drove his vibrating black claw through his chest from behind. Hunter's body fell to the ground… And Zoom appeared behind him.
Barry confusedly looked between the two Zooms. "Let me do it for you." The live Zoom stated. He took off his cowl, and Hunter smirked. "So close, Barry." He spoke with his real voice.
Looking downwards, facing the dead speedster at his feet he pieced everything together. "Another time remnant."
Hunter smiled. "You see, Barry, there could be two of you. Something that not even Seth could do. You just have to be willing to kill yourself." He looked into the eyes, each one soaked and bursting with hate. "Yeah. You're almost ready."
WHOOSH
Barry was hurled off his feet when Zoom slammed into him. Before he collided with the wall, tendrils wrapped around his form and caught him. Venom landed on the ground and made eye contact with the speedster. "You…"
He stopped asking when he realized how stupid it ask someone of that. Especially after losing his father mere minutes ago.

(Caitlin's Loft)
Standing in front of a mirror, Seth sighed heavily while tying his tie, the rest of his body clad in a black funeral suit. It's gonna be a hard day for them all, especially Barry Allen. Having lost his mother and father at a young age, he was in a spiral of despair right now.
But it was worse now. He managed to get his father back again months ago… and now he lost his father for the second time… but this time he will never get him back.
He and Caitlin and their daughters readied themselves in funeral appropriate clothes. They were still getting ready, he finished earlier than them and only needed to finish tying his tie.
"Seth."
The host perked up when he heard his partner call out to him. "What is it, Venom?"
Venom stated to Seth's shock. "The marble shone before when you fought Zoom."
His words made the elemental lose his hold on his tie. "It did?" He asked in confusion, placing his hands on the edges of it like they're handles. "You sure about that?"
Looking into his reflection in the full length mirror, Seth was unfazed when he saw Venom looking back at him. The mirror showed that it wasn't Seth looking back at him, but that it was Venom. "We haven't done this in a while, haven't we?"
"Last time was when we were kids, yeah." Seth recalled. Last time they spoke like this was shortly after they first bonded. "You also hated me calling you a parasite."
"Course we did." Venom said. Letting a serious look come over his demonic face, the symbiote said. "But the crystal did shine."
"Why then… Why now…" He asked himself in confusion.
The mutant stopped talking with his "other" when he heard something rapidly hitting the windows from the outside. Looking through the nearest window he saw rain cascading over the city and dark skies passing over the buildings.
"Is it just me…" Seth turned around and saw Caitlin walking over to him, her body covered in a black dress and a black coat under her arm. "Or did the weather know about this tragedy that befell our city?"
"You'd think so, yeah." The mutant nodded with a scoff.
Caitlin saw his tie, seeing that it wasn't fully tied. She resisted the urge to chuckle. "Here, let me." She waved him over and took hold of both ends of the tie. As she tied the tie around his collar, she said. "You okay? I know you and Henry were friends and you always talked good when you'd meet."
"He's a friend, yeah… and I miss him yeah… But it's nothing close to how both Barry and Joe are feeling." He answered.
Caitlin understood his feelings. She finished tying his tie and clapped it. "There. All handsome like always."
Seth smiled and took her hands in his. "Just like the gorgeous out-of-the-world beauty in front of me." He kissed her lips. As he left her lips, he recalled. "Oh yeah, you wanted to tell me something before. You know back at the West household?"
"Oh yeah…" With all of her heart and her entire being, Caitlin wanted to tell him that they're gonna have a fourth child. But with this day being about the death of Henry Allen, she chose to find a better and more appropriate moment to reveal this wonderful news. "It can wait."
"You sure?" He asked when he saw crestfallen look on her face, but he also saw the look of happiness that's barely containable behind her dejected look.
"I am." Caitlin smiled and kissed him quickly. "It's big news and… This day, it should be about Henry today."
Seth nodded his agreement. "Yeah, we should be there for Barry…" He looked up, calling out to their daughters. "Girls shake a leg! We have a funeral to get to."
"Here!" Evelyn got her parents' attention as she shadowported into the living room. Her parents saw her daughter appear with her sisters, all three of them wearing black dresses akin to their mother's.
Frankie stated. "We're ready, Dad, Mom."
"Let's go." Ruby said.
"Let's." Caitlin took her mate's hand.
X
Rain cascaded over Seth, Caitlin, their daughters, Olivia and Matt, Cisco, Harry and Jesse Wells, Joe and Iris West and Barry listened… While holding up their umbrellas to shield themselves from rain, they all listened as the funeral director gave his eulogy to Henry Allen. They stood at the cemetery, Henry's casket with his body in it ready to be lowered into the ground.
They stood around it, and listened to the tribute that the director had before Henry was lowered into the ground and lie for eternity beside his late wife, Nora Allen.
It was hard for them all to listen… But they had to soldier on, for the Allens.
"And comfort us today with the word of your promise as we return our brother to the earth, and leave us with the hope that, one day, we'll meet again." The funeral director closed his small book and walked away, leaving the bereft alone.
As they were left alone, the elemental took a moment to read the engravings on the tombstone.
"Husband & Father – Henry Allen 1955 – 2016"
"There is no better world than the one with you"
"Amen to that." Seth muttered in agreement. He'd miss his chats with the former doctor.
Matt and Olivia shared a look, holding hands. They looked at Seth and Caitlin who're sharing an umbrella. Their daughters had an umbrella each one. "We have to talk to him soon, Livia." The nanite mutant told his wife.
"I know…" Olivia gulped. "We have to…" Matt nodded his agreement.
"Barry…" Seth called out to the speedster who faced him. "You okay? You able to go on?"
Barry didn't answer the mutant. He looked at the casket. Iris looked at him, hoping he's okay. With all of his might, he spoke. "My father's…" He stopped shortly after that; he couldn't bring himself to talk again. Shaking his head, he stated. "I can't do this right now."
"It's okay, Barry." Iris assured him. Barry walked over to stand beside him.
"Henry Allen." Everyone faced Joe as he gave the tribute for his son. "Henry suffered two great losses in his life." Everyone knows who he's talking about. "He lost his wife, Nora, and he lost Barry. He suffered guilt, embarrassment, ridicule, shame, and everything that comes with being blamed for a crime he didn't commit." Eobard Thawne literally destroyed the Allen family and Henry took the fall for it. "Henry Allen was proof that love can get you through the darkest of days, and that love will keep him alive in all of our hearts."
"That was great, Uncle Job." Frankie rubbed her uncle's hand.
"Thanks, honey." Joe hugged her with one arm.
As they spoke, Seth saw Barry go to the pot of red roses. He picked out one rose and walked to his father's casket. The speedster crouched down in front of the casket and placed the flower on the top of the burial box.
Barry clenched his hands and promised his late father. "I'm gonna find him, Dad." Seth narrowed his eyes at those words. No at the words, but his tone. It didn't sound like The Flash at all. "I promise you I'm gonna take from him what he took from you."
His words were pretty clear.
Even Seth's "other" understood his words.
"He's gonna kill him."
X
Later, when nighttime appeared, the entire team and families moved to the West house to let the grief sink in. Caitlin and Seth took a seat on the table with Cisco, Matt and Olivia. Iris helped replenish some food items. Joe sat with the younger Snow-Fury children. Wally looked at the person he knows is now The Flash.
Drifting his eyes over to the speedster, Seth saw Barry looking through the window with a saddened and broken look.
Matt tapped the table, getting the elemental's attention. Gesturing to the speedster, he asked. "You talked to him yet?"
"No." Seth shook his head. "No idea what I'm supposed to say to him."
While eating a celery stick, Olivia added. "Kinda think you do, bro. I mean, you lost Bucky and Stef."
"True…" Seth sighed before arguing. "But you two know better than anyone here how I was back then. I was crazy after that; I destroyed an entire forest for God's sake."
"I would have gone with "suicidal", but if the shoe fits." Matt chuckled.
"But you understand what he's going through, Seth. Maybe better than anyone here." Olivia told her brother.
"Losing someone isn't easy and you can't just make it go away or anything like that." Seth said. He felt his hand be enveloped in a smaller hand. Looking at her, he saw that it was Caitlin who took his hand and rubbed the back of it with her thumb. Seth smiled. "You live with that pain, but somehow… Something happens, and you learn to live with it. And you move on."
"For the rest of your life." Caitlin added. "We all lost important people to us this year and the past one too."
"Unfortunately, yeah." Seth sorrowfully agreed with his mate.
At his words, Caitlin was reminded. "Like how we lost you, Seth." The elemental understood. "It was hard in every way imaginable."
"That's not gonna happen again, I swear." Seth swore to her.
Olivia peered at the detective who speaks to her nieces. "How're the girls doing? How's Evie dealing with this? This must be hard on her, seeing as she lost her parents herself."
"She's not the one who lost her parents this time." Seth answered while seeing his daughter calmly speak with her sisters. He drifted his eyes back up to see the speedster still looking out the window. "He is."
As they spoke, Wally walked towards the speedster with a plate of food in his hand. "Hey." He got Barry's attention, making him turn around. "I thought maybe you should eat something."
"I'm not hungry. Thank you, though." Said Barry.
Wally nodded his understanding. "Yeah." He placed the plate on the table. Straightening himself back up, he had to get something off his chest. "Barry… I had no idea that you were The Flash. What you did for me, all the things that you've done for everyone, this whole city… And now this with your dad and Zoom. I'm so sorry."
"Thanks, Wally." Barry accepted.
Wally added. "If there's anything you need, you just say the word."
"All right." Barry patted his shoulder. He walked over to the others who're sitting at the dinner table. "Guys, Zoom's still out there. We need to come up with a plan."
"Easier said than done." Ruby chimed in.
"Ruby's right, the man can crack open to Earth-2." Cisco continued. "I mean, if he can do that, what else can he do that we don't know about?"
"Chances are he's gonna surprise with a vortex." Frankie mused.
"Sis, you jinx it, I'm gonna shadowport you off a cliff." Evelyn quipped.
"Girls, no shadowporting each other off a cliff. Or off anything for that matter." Their mother chastised her daughters.
Seth looked at Barry. "Barry, you fought a Zoom, I fought a Zoom. What happened when you had one of them dead to rights?"
"The one you fought was the real one. I fought a time remnant; a temporal duplicate he made to throw us off. And Zoom killed his time remnant." Barry explained. At his own words, he recalled his fight with the evil speedster. "Right after he killed his time remnant, he told me I was "almost ready.""
"Really?" Olivia asked and Barry nodded.
"Almost ready for what?" Iris inquired.
"I don't know." Barry answered.
Cisco said. "Yep. Classic psychopath. Why can't they ever just say what they want to do?"
"Not the only mystery to solve here. You keep vibing Earth-2 being leveled for some reason, we have to figure out why." Matt stated with a nod to the viber.
"Seriously." Joe agreed.
"It's like I'm watching "Transformers" in 4D, but, like, ten times more realistic and with much better acting." Cisco voiced his opinion.
"They're not that bad." Matt argued.
Before the two engineers could get into that, the detective aimed a finger at the viber. "Look, if you can vibe the future, we need to stop Zoom before that happens."
"Cisco did you actually see Zoom in your vibe?" Ruby asked and the viber shook his head. "Great."
"What are the chances that Zoom might not have anything to do with Earth-2's destruction?" Frankie wondered.
Evelyn shook her head. "Sis, you know he's gonna be able to do something of that level. It shouldn't surprise us by now."
"You okay, honey?" Caitlin stroked Evelyn's hand. "This is your home world we're talking about, after all."
"I'm fine, Mom. That world hates me, after all." The young metahuman stated.
Seth wrapped an arm around her. "Thankfully, this world loves you. And you have a family here that loves you even more than that." He kissed her head, making his daughter giggle.
Having seen their familial behavior, Barry stated. "I'm gonna get some air, all right?" He walked to the door and exited through it.
Joe looked to his daughter, wordlessly giving her a message. "I got it." Iris understood and patted his shoulder. She picked up a blanket and walked towards the exit.
The detective then faced the elemental who stated instantly. "You're not asking me to go out there too, are you? Cause I ain't joining that talk." He pointed a finger to the door that Iris walked through.
"No, I'm not." Joe assured him and Seth gave an overly dramatic sigh of relief. Rolling his eyes, the detective asked him. "You think Barry's gonna be okay?"
"I don't know, Joe. I really don't." Seth admitted. Although he had a feeling about how the speedster's feeling right now.
X
Iris closed the door behind her as she exited her home. She had a blanket wrapped around her body and walked out to sit beside Barry as he continued to swim in a sea of loss and pain. As they sat beside each other, listening to the sounds of crickets chirping and feeling the cool night breeze Barry spoke.
"When I was in the Speed Force, I'd finally come to grips with her death, with not saving her when I went back." Iris listened closely. "And then the moment… where I'm finally at the place I can move on, my father's taken from me." Sorrowfully, he asked. "How am I ever supposed to find peace with that?"
The reporter really didn't know how to answer that question. "I don't know, Barry, but you're gonna have to find a way to do that, or it's gonna tear you apart." That was the best answer she had for him.
Barry was glad she's here for him. He'd be able to open his heart and pour it out and she'd listen wholeheartedly. "I just miss him so much already."
Iris reached for his right hand with her left one. Their fingers intertwined, telling each other with their actions that they'd help and be there for each other.
WHOOSH
Their attention was diverted when they saw blue lightning flashing before their eyes.
"Zoom." Barry recognized.
WHOOSH
He speeds after him.
"Barry, no!" Iris cried out for him, yet it fell on deaf ears.
The Scarlet Speedster found the evil speedster standing on the other side of a crossroad. Hunter turned his head to face him with a smirk. "Bad time, Flash?" Barry could barely contain his anger, Zoom smiled and fully turned around to meet his eyes. "Thought I'd give you some time to mourn."
"This ends now!" Barry sneered.
"Not yet." Hunter dejected. "There's always more to take, Barry."
Barry knew what that meant. "You're gonna stay away from them. You touch anyone on my team, you're gonna have piss off the fastest man alive, a knight and a real demon."
"Correct." Hunter wasn't an idiot, he knew that the moment he'd kill anyone on the team, Venom and Iron Knight would follow him to the ends of the multiverse till he was dead. He'd be the prey rather than the hunter in that scenario. "But whether I hurt them or not, well, that's completely up to you."
"What?" Barry stated in his confusion.
Hunter reminded him. "When we first met, I told you that Zoom needed to be the best. You just didn't realize I was talking about myself."
"Is that what this is about?" Barry asked.
"A race, Barry." Hunter declared. "Between you and me, and no one else, to see who's the fastest. You win, this is over, and you get to be the hero, and you all live happily ever after."
"I'm not racing you." Barry countered.
"Then your father won't be the only person you love that I'll take from you." Hunter told him. "Think about it, Flash. All I want to know is who's the fastest man alive on either world. Seth and his family… Yeah, they'll just throw a wrench in my plans." Barry didn't disagree. "I'll be waiting." He finished off before speeding away.
Barry was left alone.
X
(S.T.A.R. Labs, The Cortex)
"Say what?" Seth asked the speedster after hearing him state Zoom's proposal. The following day, everyone stood in the Cortex and heard Barry repeat the events when he spoke with the evil speedster from Earth-2. As they continued their conversation, Matt and Harry stood by the console and looked over the schematics of something.
"So, Zoom wants to race you?" Jesse asked in disbelief.
Barry nodded. "He's obsessed with being the best."
"Sounds sketchy." Olivia admitted.
"Why would we trust him?" Iris asked.
"He just wants to race." Cisco got their attention. "You know, it actually makes sense in a completely-off-your-rocker sort of way."
Joe disagreed. "That can't be everything he wants."
"It isn't." Harry confirmed, he brought up the schematics of the circular ring-like device on the monitors on the wall.
Matt continued, gesturing to the schematics. "This is a Magnetar that's being developed by Mercury Labs… Me and Wells looked it over, and it can apparently act like a pulsar."
"Wow." Cisco exhaled sharply.
Frankie looked at her uncle. "Uncle, can you maybe offer an explanation?"
"And please make it an easy and comprehensible one, please?" Evelyn added.
"Yeah, what's a pulsar?" Ruby asked, hoping for the easy and comprehensible explanation like her sisters.
"It's a power amplifier with a highly magnetized, dense rotating core that can be easily weaponized." Harry answered for the nanite mutant.
"Nah, that's not dangerous at all." Iris sarcastically said.
They all watched a simulation on a monitor, showing them the pulsar's capabilities, showing them the destruction of an Earth. "That's what happens to Earth-2." Cisco deduced, pointing a finger to the screen.
Seth heard his words and realized. "That's what happens in your vibes. It's because of that machine."
Ruby turned around to face her uncle and Harrison. "You're saying that metal onion ring is powerful enough to destroy a planet?"
"Trust me, honey," Matt slowly started. "that onion ring can do more than just a single planet."
"If it has the right power source." Harrison added.
"Like what?" Caitlin wondered.
Seth snapped his fingers in realization. He looked at the speedster. "Like a speedster." His words got the attention of everyone there. "Or two. That's why he wants to race against you. Bullshit with that being the best obsession."
Barry agreed. "He wants to siphon the energy I create when I run."
"Like Fury, he wants to siphon the energy off both of you." Harry clarified.
Caitlin recalled her time as Hunter's prisoner on Earth-2. "When Jay captured me, he said that he used to measure his success by counting the number of victims he had, but now he was gonna measure it by counting the number of Earths he conquered instead."
"He's thinking bigger now." Seth realized Zoom's plan; he clenched his hands in rage.
Harrison explained regretfully. "He doesn't want to just destroy Earth-2; he wants to take out every other planet in the multiverse."
"He's gonna whip out the competition." Seth said. "Heroes from other Earths interfered in his plans, this way he's gonna make sure no Earth ever stands in his way."
"How many Earths are there?" Caitlin asked, even though she had an idea of what the answer might be.
Matt answered. "Infinite. Like I said before, this Earth and ours, Earth-616, they're just drops of water in an enormous ocean of universes."
"He's gonna take them all out." Olivia shivered in fear.
"Well, can he do that?" Jesse asked.
Even though science would normally go over his head, Joe reminded them. "If he can create a breach to Earth-2 all on his own…" He trailed off.
"He can get to all of them." Barry finished his father's sentence.
"One pulse to destroy them all." Cisco shuddered at the thought.
Barry wouldn't let that happen. "I guess I don't have a choice."
"What does that mean?" Seth inquired of the speedster.
"I have to race him." He clarified. "And I have to win."
WHOOSH
He sped to the mannequin, pulling off his suit and putting it on before running out of the Cortex.
Seth rubbed his eyes. "Show of hands, who thinks he's off his rocker now?" He raised his hand as the first one. His sister and Matt followed. His daughters raised their own hands. "Majority wins, he's off his damn rocker."
"He's not… He's hurt." Joe said and walked after his son.
Caitlin inhaled sharply and put her hand over her stomach. She braced herself against a nearby table, using it to hold herself up. Seth saw her and worry flooded his face. "Cait, you okay?" He rushed to her side.
"I'm fine, think I just need to lie down." Caitlin told him.
"I'm getting you there." Seth escorted her to the medbay.
"Is Mom okay?" Ruby asked her sisters.
"Don't think so." Evelyn said.
"Let's check on her later." Frankie said.
X
Barry readied himself as he walked towards the Pipeline entrance. He raised his hand and was about to press the tablet. "Bar." Joe stopped him. The speedster stopped and glanced at him. "Don't race him."
Hearing his words, Barry countered. "It's not that easy."
"Yes, it is. You just say no." Joe said. "We find another way to stop him, together, like we always do."
The speedster walked closer to his adoptive father. "And do what, Joe? Just sit around and wait for him to kill somebody else? Wally? Iris? You? Or maybe just let Seth and the others fight him?"
"They might have a chance." Joe suggested.
"No. No way." The speedster countered.
Joe pointed at him. "He needs you, Bar. He needs your speed again to get what he wants. We have the advantage here."
"Like we did the last time? When we also had Seth back and his family together?" Barry reminded him. "We had those guys on our side, at full strength, and we still had to give up my speed so Wally could come back." He inhaled deeply. "All I have to do is beat him, Joe. That saves the multiverse, this whole city, all of you. I won't let another person I love die when I can prevent it. Seth and the others can't stop this, Zoom said just me and him."
"This…" Joe didn't like it and walked closer to his son. "Isn't just about racing Zoom, is it? You want to kill this guy." He realized.
"Of course, I want to kill him, Joe!" Barry exclaimed, getting up close to his face. "I want to do a hell of a lot more than just kill him! I want him to suffer for everything that he's done! And he's going to."
"Come on, Bar." Joe tried to get him to control himself, try to handle his emotional state. "Think about what you're saying."
Barry shook his head. "I have to be willing to do whatever it takes. I'm sorry, but I'm racing him, whether you want me or not."
"And I can't talk you out of it?" Joe had to ask.
He didn't even have to think about his response. "Not this time." Barry turned around and walked to the Pipeline entrance.
"Then I'm sorry too." Joe confessed.
Before Barry could even think of questioning, a sharp pain spread from the metahuman's shoulder. The shot made him fall forward, holding himself up against a pipe Harrison kept his rifle trained on the speedster after he shot a power dampening dart at him. Both Harry and Joe saw the speedster fall to the ground, his consciousness fading.
Harrison and Joe shared a look of conflict.
X
"Who's betting he's gonna throw a fit?" Seth asked while running his hand down his face for the millionth time now. Everyone on the team moved down to stand in front of the Pipeline where they see Barry in a containment cell.
Almost everyone was down there. Caitlin's still lying down on the gurney in the medbay. Olivia and her nieces sat with her, keeping her company.
And more than anything, Seth wanted to stay by her side and make sure she's okay. But Joe and Harrison asked for the elemental and nanite mutant to come with them, in case more experienced fighters were needed.
Seth stood with crossed arms, his fingers on his right hand tapping on his left arm. Matt took notice of his impatience, seeing it in his actions. "You doing okay there, Seth? You look like you're about to blow a gasket."
"The love of my life is on the bed again for some reason and I'm down here because of him." Seth nodded to the stirring speedster. "So not exactly a fan of this situation, no."
"Dude, you think we are?" Cisco asked. Gesturing to the cell, the viber continued. "My best friend's in there and I had to agree to a situation where he'd be shot." He realized something and directed to Seth. "You practically encouraged it."
"Any chance to see his stupid ass get tranqed, I'm all in. Hell, I loaded the gun for Harry." Seth admitted casually.
Matt looked at him. "I really hope Barry doesn't end up as a patient on your operation table. You might just pull the plug on him the second he's on the table."
"Any excuse I can take to get rid of him." Seth deadpanned.
Joe and Iris faced him with a strange look. They had to question their relationship with the elemental now.
Their attention was turned to the speedster who woke up. "Wha…" Barry took in his surroundings, seeing that he's in the containment cell. "What are you doing?" He directed his words to the entire team who're looking at him from the other side of the cell door. He slowly got up on his feet. "Why did you put me in here?"
"You're in a containment cell, made for unruly metahumans. Take a wild guess." Seth quipped.
"Seth!" Joe chastised his friend. Seth backed down and the detective faced the speedster. "You're in there because you're too angry right now. You can't race him like that." Barry moved around in the cell in distress and disbelief. "Without a plan, you're… You'll lose."
"Keeping me in here is gonna get everyone killed." Barry stated. "I'm the only one that can stop him; you know that."
"What? Are we just chopped liver, Barry?" Matt gestured to himself and the elemental beside him.
"Matt, you and Seth both fought him, and you didn't finish him off. We're in the same boat." Barry countered.
Before Matt or Seth could counter, Harrison stepped forward and stated. "You race Zoom on his terms, you'll lose. Fury and Stark can handle him while you're in there, cooling down. They've hurt him, they can take him out once and for all together."
Barry punched the glass. "This is not your decision to make!"
"It is this time." Joe adamantly said.
"No." Barry held his head.
"We all made it together." Joe said.
Snapping around, Barry turned his eyes to the team again. "What? All of you?"
In his defense, Cisco softly admitted. "Bro, I went back and forth. I was, like, a good 60/40 at first."
"Ramon." Harry stopped him.
"Yeah, yeah, we all made the decision." Cisco finalized.
"Come on." Barry turned around, punching the back wall.
"Allen." Harry tried to get his attention. When he didn't get it, he called out to him again. "Allen."
"This is for your own good, Bar." Seth told him.
Barry snapped around, turning his disbelieving eyes on the elemental. "You serious, Seth? That's coming from you!" He punched the wall. "You got to kill the man who took away your family! No one stopped you or put you in a cell! And you're saying that I don't get to do the same for my family?! You're a hypocrite!" He punched the glass again with tearful eyes with rage swimming in them.
"No argument there." Everyone was shocked to hear that immediate response from Seth. "Difference between me and you, Barry…" He pressed on the tablet on the wall. "You're not me."
The speedster realized what he did. "Don't do this. Guys come on. Iris?" She didn't react, merely giving him an apologetic look. "Cisco, come on, man. You have to let me stop him!" He banged on the door, but his exclaims fell on deaf ears. The entrance slid down, shutting off the entrance as Barry continued to scream out to the team.
Joe looked between Iris and Seth. "Did we make the right call here?"
Iris nodded. "Yeah, we did."
"Let's hope so, yeah." Seth said.

While sitting on the gurney in the medbay, Caitlin stretched out her arms and rubbed her arms. She didn't sleep but she did relax on the bed with open eyes. Being on this team, working to protect this city, and treating anyone who's injured…
It significantly reduced the time for her to actually relax. A nap like this really helped her. And she smiled widely cause she knew that all that rest would help her unborn baby grow.
"Ruby… Frankie… Evelyn… They're gonna be big sisters…" Caitlin wondered how that would be, seeing her three daughters become big sisters. At that moment she remembered she'd have to figure out the gender of her unborn child. "Another baby girl… A baby boy…" She mused the thoughts of birthing another daughter or a son.
She didn't care if it's a girl or a boy, but both she and Seth would love their child unconditionally. Thankfully, their daughters would love their younger sibling just as much.
"Knock knock." Caitlin turned her attention to the entrance and saw Felicia Hardy standing there. "Heard you're back again. Glad to hear."
Caitlin stood up and hugged the cat burglar. "Thanks, Felicia. And thanks for helping my daughters while I was gone. It means the world."
"Don't mention it, Caity girl." Felicia assured her. She pulled out of the hug and got a worried expression on her face. "You okay? Heard you've been hitting the sack a bit since you returned."
"Just a bit exhausted but don't worry, I'm fine." Caitlin told the Earth-616 burglar. As she conversed with her, inwardly the doctor thought of what name to give her and Seth's unborn child.
One thing's for sure, if she's having a baby daughter, she definitely wasn't gonna go for her mother's name… Carla.
Maybe, if she's having a baby boy, Thomas might be on the table.
"Good you're up." Olivia announced as she and her nieces entered the Cortex again.
Caitlin walked past Felicia and hugged her daughters. "Hey, girls. Sorry to worry you like that." She looked to the psychic. "You too, Liv."
"Don't worry about that. Just glad you're alright." Olivia assured her with a wave of her hand.
Frankie looked to her mother. "Mom, you sure you're alright. You've been… I don't know." She didn't know how to describe her parent's condition.
Ruby, however, did know how to describe it. "You seem weaker, Mom."
"Are you absolutely sure you're okay?" Evelyn asked.
"I promise you all that I'm fine." Caitlin assured her children, kissing the three of them on their cheeks. "I'm just a bit tired."
"Cool." Frankie showed a wide smile. "Magenta, you see what's happening?"
"Thought you said I shouldn't just check if either of your folks are lying?" The symbiote reminded her host who sent a mentally raised eyebrow. "Okay fine, she's keeping something to herself."
"You know what?" Frankie asked.
"You think I'm telepath or something? That's your aunt's job." Magenta countered.
"You're useless." Frankie countered.
"Caitlin?" Seth got his mate's attention, making her smile. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Caitlin walked to him and hugged him. Pulling back, she asked him. "How'd it go down there?"
"That dude hasn't had a single day of tough love in his life…" Seth trailed off, looking back to see the others joining them. When Joe and Iris walked in, the mutant directed his complaints to the detective. "I'm blaming that on you, Josephine."
"Not now, Seth." Iris stopped the elemental.
Caitlin understood the reporter's defensive words and asked the detective. "You okay, Joe?"
"Yeah, that was just a little harder than I anticipated." Joe confessed.
Harry walked out of the side lab with a crate. "Yeah, looking up Barry…" He placed it on a nearby table. "That was the easy part. Now, using our plan to take down Zoom without Barry, that's gonna be the hard part, but it's gonna be a lot easier once we know where he is, Ramon." He called out to the viber.
"Chill, man. I'm working on it." Cisco stated while typing away on the computer.
"Work harder, or use Stark's AI, Jacob." Harrison closed the crate.
"Dr. Wells, my name is Jarvis, not Jacob." The AI corrected him.
"Same thing, Jacob." Harrison bluntly and carelessly stated.
"Don't take it personal, J." Matt told the AI.
"Joe, you okay?" Olivia asked him.
Joe scoffed. "I had to lock up one of my sons, so not doing so well, to be honest."
"It had to be done, Joe." Felicia pitched in.
But Joe was conflicted… If it was really something that had to be done?
"Joe…" Seth got his attention. "I know you want to say something. Say it to me."
Joe dropped his firearm and looked at the elemental. Everyone in the Cortex faced the same direction as the detective who started talking to Seth. "Seth, Barry had a point."
"What do you mean?" Caitlin asked.
"When Seth went off to fight against Carnage last year, we didn't stop him." Joe started. "Seth gave us the story, Carnage showed up, gave his demands and… Unlike what we're doing with Barry down there, we just let Seth take care of this alone. He got the chance to kill the bastard who ruined his life… and we didn't stop him." He scoffed again. "Heck, we saw you get skewered and wake away from it before fighting again. We didn't stop you from that."
Cisco and Caitlin shared a look of agreement. Back then, even though it was like what Zoom did, Carnage gave Seth his terms… They didn't stop the elemental from charging into a fight. They let him take care of it alone and they didn't even stop him.
Back then Caitlin was the only one to try and stop him, hoping that a single talk between the two of them would keep him from willingly entering a deathmatch with a psychopath like Carnage.
It didn't work.
And Caitlin hated being reminded of that moment from back then, cause it… Reminded her of one of the most awful times of her life… when she had to watch the love of her life walk into a Thunderdome fight with a deranged serial killer.
"Joe." Seth started, garnering the detective's attention. Just like Joe, everyone in the Cortex listened closely to what the mutant had to say. "Sorry to say, but you can't compare me and Barry as we're in the same situation. Back then I was dying from Carnage's poison in my body. Carnage had Frankie in his claws, and his poison had also affected JC, so she could have died too."
Before Joe could say anything, Seth held up his hands and stated. "Joe be honest with me, and I mean, really honest…. Do you really think that Barry would have been able to stop or even help me in that fight against Carnage, another mutant like me with a symbiote in him?"
Joe opened his mouth. "… No, I don't think he could have."
"I had to take care of him alone back then cause I wasn't gonna let my little sister, my best friend or even your son go out and… I was this universe's biggest and greatest chance to defeat Carnage." Seth finalized.
"Well, the universe's biggest and greatest chance did have to get shivved by a large sword before he could actually defeat Carnage." Matt teased.
"Hate you, Scrapheap." Seth sneered. "But instead of Barry, you got two powerful mutants who're gonna take Zoom down."
"How? You two couldn't do anything against him individually." Harrison reminded them.
"But together…" Seth cracked his hands with a confident smirk. "We're gonna wreck him."
"And he's gonna be buried six feet under." Matt smirked.
Everyone liked their confidence… But Harrison had other thoughts.
"Well, if confidence could kill him, he'd already be dead."
Seth threw his hands up in the air. "Why do we even bother working with you, Harry?"
"I'm smarter and less homicidal than you." Harrison candidly stated his thoughts.
"Wanna see some real homicide here, Wells?" Seth gritted his teeth.
"Calm down, babe." Caitlin stroked his back, hoping to tamper down his rage.
The computers chimed as Cisco's search yielded a result. "Got it!" The viber got up from his chair. "He's at the industrial park on Leawood. Give me that." He held his hand up for Jesse.
"Yep." Jesse high fived him, making him hum out his victory.
"That is some serious nerd love right there." Iris jokes.
"Snow. Fury." Harrison got their attention. "Look, everybody here would understand if one of you…" He directed to Caitlin. "Don't want to go through with this."
"I have to, Harry." Caitlin said.
"You sure, Cait?" Seth asked her.
"I'm sure, Seth. You and our daughters are going out there and I'm not staying behind while you are." Caitlin told him. "And Jay may be a monster, but there's a human… human adjacent inside of him somewhere. I've gotten to that part of him before. I know I can do it again." She looked at Harry. "I want to stop him, Harry, for good."
Harrison nodded. "Ramon." He gave the viber his goggles.
"Fine…" Seth held her hands. "But me, Matt and the girls are gonna fight him. Mostly me and Matt to be honest."
"… Guess I'll just lure the snake out of his cave." Caitlin jokes.
"In this instance, yeah." Seth had to agree.
"So, let's go over the plan again." Joe told the team.
Iris nodded, taking lead. "Okay, Caitlin will distract Jay, getting him out, so that Seth and Matt can attack him, weakening him with their attacks. Evelyn, Frankie and Ruby are gonna be there, attacking from a distance to give the guys a hand. When we're confident enough that Zoom's weakened enough from a Fury-Stark madness," she turned to her father. "you and Harry hit him with the Boot. Cisco's gonna open the breach, and we're gonna put him through it."
"I'll disarm the Magnetar." Harry informed while strapping on his backpack.
"If that doesn't work," Matt twisted his reactor over his chest, the nanites swarmed over his form and he formed his suit. "Seth and I can destroy it with an onslaught of attacks."
"Destroy the Magnetar…" Cisco shared a look with Harrison. Ruby rolled her eyes, jumping in at the same time as those two.
"""Save the Multiverse"""
Cisco and Harry looked at her with shock on their face. Ruby shrugged. "Don't be shocked, boys."
"Ruby's a nerd." Evelyn said with a giggle.
Ruby glared at her sister. "Sis, you're already at thin ice, don't tempt me."
While Evelyn shook like a leaf, Frankie faced her assassin sister. "Rubs, love you and all, but can you maybe not threaten our sister every few seconds. She might just shadowport away again."
"Really not loving the entire "threatening-each-other", girls." Seth admitted with a gesture to his daughters.
Felicia nudged his arm. "Think they got that from you, Ace."
"She's right." Olivia agreed with the burglar.
"One more thing:" Joe got everyone's attention. "We need to agree. We all made this decision together, so if anything goes wrong, we stick with it."
"No promises, Joseph." Seth countered and the detective gave him a dry look. "Not joking, Joe. If something goes wrong, I'm gonna try and fix it no matter what."
"Same here." Matt agreed.
"Let's load up." Harry declared, tightening his backpack straps. He and his daughter walked out of the Cortex. Joe and Iris gave a glance at the screen that showed the insides of Barry's containment cell, where he sat on the floor. Cisco went over to ready himself with Matt.
Seth walked to his sister. "You and Felicia sitting this one out?"
"Yeah, we are." Olivia nodded. "You good with that plan?"
"I am." Seth hugged his sister. "Always okay with you being out of harm's way."
"Thanks, bro." Olivia smiles widely.
Pulling back, the elemental turned to Felicia. "You keep an eye on our important ladies?"
"Always, Ace. You just take care and hurl that bastard's ass back to Earth-2." Felicia told him.
Seth nodded. "We're gonna have to keep our promise, Seth."
"Let's hope so, partner." The host agreed with his partner.
X
(Leawood, Industrial Park)
"Jay?!"
As he screwed the final items on the Magnetar, Hunter Zolomon came to a stop when he suddenly heard Caitlin call out his name.
"Caitlin." He realized, but his narrowed eyes told him that he doubted she's alone.
As though she's a princess, anywhere she is, the Lethal Protector's always close by and ready to project her like a devastating dragon.
"Jay!" She called out again.
He sped away, stopping a few feet from the doctor from Earth-1. Hunter saw her shake at his presence, but he also saw that she's alone. That alone made questions surface in his head. "How did you find me? And why are you alone?"
Caitlin answers. "Doctor McGee said the Magnetar was stolen from her labs. I knew that it had to be you, so I tracked you here. Alone."
"Alone? Really?" Hunter said skeptically, that didn't sound like Seth at all.
"I tracked you here, Jay." She assured the evil speedster. "No one else knows."
"So, you left Seth… Your daughters…" Hunter trailed off, his voice still holding skepticism. "I told you, if you left me…"
She remembered his words. Caitlin forwent his first sentence, focusing on his second one. "That if I betrayed you, you'd show me no mercy, I know. But I just want to explain why I did that. please, Jay." She really hoped her words would appeal to what's left of his humanity, even though it's a desperate gamble right now.
"Talk." He demanded angrily.
"Good talk, girl." Caitlin heard Iris praise her. "Now draw him towards you."
"Be careful, Mom." Evelyn told her mother over the comms.
"I made a mistake." She lied to the speedster. "I am so sorry that I abandoned you." Caitlin saw his eyes remained narrowed. "But you have to understand, what you said to me… That there was a dark side of me… That I was more like Killer Frost than I knew…"
From his own position, latched on the side of a pipe over their heads with his camouflage turned on, Seth narrowed his eyes in surprise. Caitlin never said anything about that to him. The shocking news of this hit him like a meteor. ¨
"You two need couple's therapy." Venom mused… But in all honesty, the two of them should really consider it.
"I didn't want to accept that." Seth heard Caitlin continue, still trying to appeal to the evil metahuman's humanity. "I tried to lock the darkness inside of me. A darkness that I saw in Seth… that I needed. But you knew that that was already a part of me now. And you're the only one who did." She walked closer to Hunter.
"Okay, Dad, you seriously got to keep Mom from being kidnapped. Sounds like she's opening up to them more than you." Ruby told her father.
"Not the time or the place to discipline your Dad, Rubs." Matt countered.
At that moment, Seth really wanted to tear his brother-in-law a new one and also ground his daughter.
"And now," Seth returned his attention to Caitlin. "I'm ready to accept who I really am."
"Get ready…" Seth clenched his clawed hand around his sword, ready to swing it.
"I am so sorry that I hurt you." Caitlin apologized to Hunter. "But now… I want to be the one…"
Hunter noticed her stopping and trailing off as she spoke. He stepped closer to her. "Really, Caitlin?"
"Yes, Jay. Please." Caitlin told him.
Zoom smirked. "I knew you'd eventually come around, Caitlin." She showed a fake smile of happiness. As she did, Hunter's emotions fell, and he formed an emotionless look. "But it's too late." He drove his claw into her stomach…
But it passed right through her hologram-like form, causing Holo-Caitlin to flicker before disappearing.
"What the-" His sentence was cut short when the elemental appeared behind him, slamming Hunter's head down into the ground with an adamantium hand. He groaned in pain as his head connected with the asphalt. But he didn't get a chance to feel it when Seth grabbed him by his foot and flung him into the air.
"Knight!" He bellowed out to the nanite mutant.
"On it!" Matt shouted, arriving with all of his thrusters blazing as he propelled him towards the speedster. He spiraled around, combining his feet into one large power mallet. Slamming it into Zoom's chest and hurling him back to the ground. Spiraling around, he fired off an unibeam after him.
Zoom regained his focus, speeding away before the repulsor beam could connect with him. He stood on his feet and narrowed his eyes on the two mutants. "Had a feeling Caitlin wouldn't be here without you." He directed to the elemental. "All a ruse, huh?"
"She'd never go with you. She'd never leave her family." Venom snarled, his tongue swiping the air. "And you're gonna regret everything you've done to our world!" He bellowed. Iron Knight raised his palms and aimed his repulsors at the evil speedster.
"Bring it on, Venom." Hunter challenged with blue lightning sparking over his entire body. He ran the opposite way, just as Iron Knight shot an array of repulsor blasts.
Venom jumped onto the wall, running up the hard surface. He reached the rooftop and landed on it, running across it on all four limbs like an animal. Tendrils on his back wrapped around his sword handle as he ran. Leaping off the rooftop, he used wind and lightning to increase his jumping, practically catapulting himself off the ground.
While in the air, Venom saw the speedster running away. With the tendrils spinning his sword around, he threw the sword after him. With the momentum the sword gained from the throw, the crystal blade came flying with the force of a cannonball. It pierced into the ground, blowing up a storm and caused Zoom to trip and roll on the ground.
He slammed into a wall, causing it to crack. Via his HUD, Iron Knight locked onto the evil metahuman and formed mini-missiles on his back. Flexing his back, he launched the rockets off his back and sent them after the speedster.
Hunter looked up when hearing the sound of projectiles coming his way. He ran away, allowing one of the missiles to connect and blow up a wall. The other ones followed him as he ran away. Nearing an alleyway with pipes intermingled and crossing his path, he ran on the wall. Slipping through a gap of pipes that exploded from two missiles. Glancing backwards he saw three more missiles coming for him through the smoke.
But the moment he looked back was a mistake when Venom wrapped his hand around his head and slammed his head into a brick wall. The elemental forced the speedster through the brick surface, making Zoom gran in pain.
Embedding his feet into the ground, Venom threw him into the three remaining missiles. They connected with the speedster, exploding and sending him through a wall.
"Nice job you two, keep it going!" Iris told the mutants.
"Don't need to tell us twice." Venom spiraled his sword around before jumping through the hole he made. Matt followed his friend.
The two of them found the evil speedster standing there, exhaustively panting with specks of fresh blood on the corners of his mouth. "Someone's angry…" He joked while wiping off blood from one corner of his mouth.
Venom snarled. "We're not done!"
Turning his entire body into adamantium, lightning sparked around his body and wind emanated around limbs before he rocketed off the ground. Seth swung his sword for his head.
Despite the sword coming at him with increased speed, Zoom still saw it coming in slow motion. Time slowed to a crawl and he bent backwards, dodging the incoming sword swing. Time returned to normal, and it pierced into the ground.
Utilizing the momentum of his sword swing, despite it missing its target, Venom spun around and swung his right arm, flames and lightning enveloping it as it smashed into the speedster and sent him into another wall.
Before he could get the chance to escape or dodge, Matt crossed his arms over his chest and converted more energy into his arc reactor. Locking onto him again the nanite mutant uncrossed his arms and fired a large unibeam. This time Zoom didn't have a chance to dodge the attack, and he hit in the chest, shooting him through the wall.
Hunter spiraled back to his feet and held his chest in pain. He groaned in further pain when an arrow of light hit his back and forced him to the ground. With anger with his eyes, he turned around and saw Eclipse ready three arrows on her bowstring.
As she imbued her arrows with both light and darkness, Evelyn said. "Smile, ass-hat." She smirked before releasing her arrows and shot them after him.
Zoom dodged the arrows, each one exploding the ground upon collision with the asphalt. Chunks of debris hit his body and made him grunt. He felt an invisible force hit the back of his leg, forcing him down to his knees.
Twisting his head around, he saw Destroyer using her powers to lift up large pieces of asphalt and pipes in the air. They orbited around her body. "Take this!" Thrusting out both hands, she launched the pieces after him.
Managing to push himself back to his feet, Zoom ran and dodged various pieces coming for him. They came like a downpour, making it hard for him to dodge the barrage of projectiles. In between the various hurled items, metal plates came flying at him like disks.
Turning his head to the side he saw Magenta standing on top of the roof, her arms lashed out to the sides and tearing up metallic plates from random places around her. She pointed her magenta-shining eyes at the evil speedster.
"This is what you did to our mother, bastard!" Frankie swung her arms, launching the plates like ninja stars.
Hunter Zolomon saw them coming and tried to avoid them, but Venom punched the side of his face, putting an end to that plan. The force of the blow sent the speedster to the ground. The plates came flying at him and cut him various places on his body, cutting through his suit and exposing his suit.
Zoom managed to come back to his feet somehow, holding the biggest wounds on his body and trying to keep the blood from flowing out of him. He looked up and saw the mutants and their family before him. He smirked through all the pain he's experiencing.
But that smirk fell when he felt electricity coursing from his neck and all over his body. He tried to pry off the BOOT collar, but he failed.
"Now, Ramon!" Harry called out to the viber from his area.
While Hunter staggered backwards, Cisco opened a breach behind him with a breach blast.
Zoom continued to try and force the collar off his neck. But he struggled to do so with Evelyn, Frankie and Ruby hurling projectiles of various kinds after him. Matt joined in and shot repulsor blasts after him, shooting from the sky.
"Tranq him!" Harrison jumped in, shooting the speedster with an energy rifle. "Tranq him!" He shouted to Joe while shooting multiple shots.
Venom stepped back, holding his crystal marble in his hand. "It's not shining…" He noted to himself.
"Gun is jammed!" Joe announced in a shout.
Seth's head perked up when he saw rush towards the evil speedster. "Stop it!" He ordered not only his family, but also the detective who ran to Zoom, both his hands wrapped around two tranq darts. His family stopped shooting and hurling projectiles when they saw Joe run to Hunter.
Joe reached the evil metahuman, raising both hands high up in the air before swinging them down, piercing both darts into his body. Hunter screamed in pain when he felt the needles penetrate his skin.
Harrison leaped into the air, taking aim at the evil speedster and pulled the trigger, shooting an energy bullet from his rifle. The attack hit Hunter's chest and sent him flying backwards… But before his feet left the ground, he outstretched his hand and grabbed the back of Joe's collar.
"JOE!" Venom lashed out his arms, splitting them into tendrils and shot them after the detective.
But… his tendrils could never reach him as the detective was pulled into the breach with Zoom and it closed itself shut.
"Fuck…" Matt muttered behind his mask.
They just lost Joseph West.
X
(S.T.A.R. Labs, The Cortex)
Everyone in the Cortex saw the viber focusing on his vibes, trying to catch glimpses of Earth-2, seeing visions of Joe on Earth-2 again. Hopefully, alive. But it felt like they had to wait for an eternity
"Hope Uncle Joe's okay." Frankie pleaded.
Seth wrapped an arm around his daughter, pulling her close. "He's a tough old man, honey. Don't worry." He kissed her head for assurance.
"Yeah, he's got a point." Evelyn agreed. "I mean, Uncle Joe's friends with Dad. That's worse than kidnapping." Seth turned his disbelieving eyes to his daughter from Earth-2.
Olivia shifted her eyes to her brother. "What did you do to the poor, sweet girl you adopted from Earth-2? You turned her into a monster!" She overdramatically exclaimed.
"Take it down a notch Angel Drama." Felicia told the female mutant. The burglar finally realized that her hormones are really taking her for a trip.
"Sorry, Aunt, you're wrong on that." Ruby glared at Evelyn. "She's been like this for a long time."
"Stop hating on your sister for telling me and your Dad about those recruiters, honey." Caitlin told her daughter.
Ruby shook her head. "No promises, Mom."
"Hey…" Seth nodded his head to the viber who removed his hands from his head. "Any news, Cisco?"
"Did you see my dad?" Iris asked.
Pushing hair out of his eyes, Cisco answered them both. "No, sorry, the vibe keeps changing. It's like my brain is surfing or something."
Hearing his words, Caitlin deduced. "They must be on the move. That's why the vibe's in flux. Keep trying." She told the viber.
Footsteps echoed behind them and Seth turned around to see Harry and Jesse walk into the Cortex. "Wells', you bring us good news? We could use some."
"Did you turn off that Magnetar?" Matt inquired.
Harrison shook his head. "No, there's no messing with that thing." He pulled off his rifle. "Whatever he did to it… We try and touch it; we try and move it… This planet's done for."
"Gotta admit, Zoom's smart to rig that to blow up if we mess with it." Seth admitted.
"Not the time to praise the evil maniac." Jesse told the elemental.
"She's got a point." Matt agreed.
Olivia asked. "You guys have any idea on what to do with that thing?" She directed to the scientists, hoping they have an answer.
"Like Wells said, nothing. Not without risking the destruction of our own Earth." Seth answered.
"Can't we like…" Olivia shrugged her shoulders. "What if we breached it someplace?"
"Still the same issue of moving it, babe." The nanite mutant said.
"Of course, it is, cause nothing comes easy or is that easy to solve." Felicia scoffed.
"We'll get him and get Joe back." The elemental assured the cat burglar.
"What?"
Everyone in the Cortex turned their heads around, finding Wally West walking towards them with a crestfallen look. "Crap." The elemental heard his "other" release.
"Iris." Wally asked his sister. "What did Seth mean by "get Joe back"? What's wrong?"
The reporter walked to her little brother, telling him of the bad news. "Zoom took Dad."
"What? How?" Wally asked in shock.
Caitlin took over. "We tried to stop Zoom by pushing him through the breach, but… He took Joe with him."
"What?" Wally looked between the various heroes around them. "Even with y'all here?"
"We're not invincible, Wally." The elemental mutant reminded him.
"Well, where's Barry? Did he go after him?" Wally demanded to know.
Jesse answered. "He's not with us. He's in a cell in the intake." Her father gave her a scathing look.
"Wait." Wally let that piece of information settle in. "You- You tried to stop Zoom alone?" He asked the team.
"Long story." Harrison placed his bottle on the table.
Wally walked around the Cortex, placing his hands on his head. Seth told him. "Calm down, Wally."
"I'm not gonna, Seth." He countered, not accepting the mutant's words. "We have to get him back."
The reporter placed a hand on her brother's shoulder, getting his attention. "Wally, before Zoom took Dad, we all agreed that if we got him off this Earth, we would close the breaches for good, and we would never open them again, under any circumstances."
The former street racer looked around the team, taking in their serious looks. "Why… Why would you do that?" He shook his head in denial. "No. Now way, that's not gonna happen."
"Unfortunately," Matt chimed in. "Joe made us all agree to it."
"Well, guess what, I didn't agree to that!" Wally exclaimed.
"Wally-"
"Iris," Wally cut his sister off. "I already lost my mom. If Dad…" He didn't want to imagine losing his only parent again… Not after he just got him. "I…" He walked away, out of the Cortex.
"Give him some time." Seth told the reporter who clearly contemplated following her brother. "Just until we have a plan to get your Dad back, Iris."
Mulling it over in her head, Iris nodded her decision and accepted it. But she didn't like it.

(Earth-2, Zoom's Hideout)
Joe panted in pain and exhaustion while chained up in the glass-like cage inside of Zoom's hideout. His head hanging down, both hands cuffed and held up with chains. Finally lifting his head, he took in his surroundings with a groan and a series of grunts.
Having heard the stories from Seth, his daughters, Caitlin, the detective from Earth-2 realized he's in Zoom's hideout. To the sides he did see the familiar masked prisoner and an unconscious Nathan Bliss sitting in his cage.
"I will say," Joe turned his eyes upwards to Zoom who stood in his damaged and ragged suit, the result of the onslaught he experienced at the hands of the Snow-Furys and Stark. "if anything, Barry sure has an ample number of fathers to kill."
Leaning his head against the pillar behind him, Joe stated. "If you're gonna kill me, kill me. It doesn't matter. You're not racing or fighting anybody."
"Come on, Joe." Hunter started. "You know Barry better than that. You raised him. He'll say yes if he thinks he can save you." Shrugging his shoulders, he added. "And I'm sure Seth wants to save his best friend, the man who helped his family when he was dead. Or thought to be dead."
"Sure… But not this time." Joe shook his head. "I made sure of it." They both heard rattling beside them, both turning to the sound and seeing the man in the iron mask twisting his head around. "Who is that?" He asked with a nod to the masked prisoner.
Hunter looked at him. "It would just confuse you." He stated.
With a confident expression, he stated. "Try me."
Intrigued by his words, Hunter explained. "I got my speed the same way Barry did." He could still see himself strapped in a chair and getting electroshock therapy in that mental institute. "When I got struck by the dark matter and electricity, I became Zoom, the fastest man alive. Wasn't long before I had this Earth on its knees." He envisioned his victories, his accomplishments on this Earth. "But it wasn't enough. I wanted more. I wanted to be faster." Joe had a feeling where this was going. "So, I created a speed drug."
"Velocity-9." Joe surmised.
The evil speedster nodded with an excited smirk. "It made me faster than I ever thought possible, fast enough to break the dimensional barrier, fast enough to run to other universes, other Earths." He smiled excitedly. "And then one day, one of those Earths," He turned around, facing his masked prisoner again. "I discovered him."
"He's another speedster?" Joe asked.
"Yeah, you could say that." Hunter smiled. "That was right about the time I discovered something else too… After another trip to an Earth that's way, way further away from this one." Joe knew that he's talking about Earth-616 where he plucked Ruby from. "All that V-9 I'd been injecting into my system had a little side effect."
Joe chortles. "It was killing you."
"I searched for a cure." Hunter continued. "I tried everything. I even tried to manipulate the Speed Force, but let me tell you, the Speed Force… The Speed Force does not like its rules being broken. Now it's been sending its enforcers after me ever since."
Pieces of the puzzle fell into place. "So, you brought him here to steal his speed." Joe realized.
"I tried, but it wouldn't take." Zoom said. He recalled the sky-splitting event that was the Singularity. "But then the skies parted, and I saw Barry, I saw Seth exploding in a calamity of flames in the middle of the Singularity. He fell out of it, landing right at my feet, unconscious. I took Seth and turned my attention to Barry, and I stole his speed. I won." He could still remember the feeling of the other speedster's speed entering his system like a drug, giving him unimaginable euphoria. "I beat the rules of the Speed Force."
As Hunter leant against the masked prisoner's cage, Joe inquired. "Why keep him here?"
"Trophy." Zoom responded with a smirk. "And a little idea I had for fun. You see, I got so tired of being the villain… So, I decided to be the hero too. I even borrowed his name, Jay Garrick." He saw the hate and anger in Jay Garrick's eyes. Hunter mockingly tapped on the glass, using his prisoner's only way of communication.
"You know what's gonna be great, Detective?" Hunter turned back to Joe. "After I beat Barry in the race and prove that I'm the fastest man alive on any Earth, he's gonna rot in a cage just like the one Jay's in now. and then I'll have a Flash from two worlds to keep me company." He smirked.
"Something you're forgetting here…" Joe trailed off.
Hunter scoffed. "You mean Seth… Aw…" He sighed. "I'm gonna have to deal with him, yeah, but despite how strong he is, I'm faster than him and I can fight him with ease."
"Says the guy who his ass handed to him by Seth and his entire family." Joe chortled with a nod to the speedster's damaged suit. "But you took an overdose before, didn't you?"
"You mean when I traveled to Seth's Earth in the future… and took Ruby." The speedster chuckled. "Yeah… I did that. Took Ruby and took Evelyn… I wanted their powers for myself." He groaned. "And Seth threw a wrench in that plan."
Before Joe could even laugh, Hunter stated. "But don't worry, Joe… I'm gonna take care of him and get my trophies back again… and take their powers for myself."
Joe feared what would happen next.

(Earth-1, S.T.A.R. Labs)
Seth stroked his chin in thought as he crouched on the ceiling. "It didn't shine this time… Something about it is different now. Why?"
"When we made this deal, we should have gotten more details." Venom said.
"You only get the best ideas after we fail." Seth groaned in his thoughts. His train of thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a loud slurping. Looking down he raised an eyebrow when seeing Caitlin slurping on a cup of coffee.
Narrowing his eyes on his mate, he detached from the ceiling and landed on the console railing. Unlike Jesse and Harry who stood beside her, Caitlin wasn't shocked to see her mate land before her eyes. "What's up, honey?" She asked Seth like it's nothing out of the ordinary.
"Not much." He answered. Nodding to the coffee mug in her hands, he asked. "You hitting the coffee already?"
Shaking her head Caitlin showed the contents of her mug. "Herbal tea. Wasn't in the mood for coffee. Want one? I can make another cup."
"No need, Cait, but thanks." He told her. But before she could pull the mug back to her lips, he took her hands and planted a kiss on them. "Thought that might calm you down more than tea."
"Maybe…" She cheekily told the father of her fifth unborn child.
Suddenly an alarm chimed over their heads. Matt looked up. "What's going on?"
"Unfortunately, we have a security system alert, Mr. Stark." Jarvis told the nanite mutant.
Jesse walked over to the chiming computer and saw the insides of Barry's containment cell, which is empty. "Guys, Barry's not-"
WHOOSH
"In his cell anymore." Jesse finished off as the speedster and Wally sped into the Cortex.
"Wally!" Iris chastised her brother.
Facing his big sister, Wally countered. "What? I wasn't just gonna stand here and let this happen."
Barry threw his arms up. "You let him take Joe? What the hell were you thinking?" He rushed to the console.
"Allen, there was nothing we could do." Harry told him.
"You could've let me race him!" Barry shouted in his face.
"No, you're not racing Zoom!" Matt exclaimed at the speedster.
Barry scoffed his disbelief. "What are you gonna do? Are you gonna tranq me again?"
"Don't tempt me." Harrison stated candidly.
Seething with anger, Barry turned around and faced the others. "Look, I know you guys made a pact to keep Zoom on Earth-2, but you did that without me and Wally. All right? You don't get to do that!"
Cisco gestured to the speedster. "Barry, look at yourself right now; you're not okay."
"Cisco, my dad was just killed in front of me! Do you have any idea how that feels?" Barry answered in retaliation.
"Watching someone you love die?" Caitlin chimed in. "Yes, I do. We all do!" She nodded to the elemental they thought had died.
"Caitlin-" Barry twisted his head around.
"Look, Barry." Caitlin jumped in. "I- I know how cold and angry and distant that can make you. This happened to me, Frankie, Matt and Olivia… when we lost Seth."
"So, here's an idea…" Seth got his attention after jumping off the console railing. "Take a breather and stop, that's all we're telling you to do now." In an instant, he withdrew his crystal sword out of his body. "And lower that voice."
"I'm telling you I'm good." Barry stated, slightly calmer from seeing the mutant take out his sword.
"Really?" Matt walked around the console. "You're good? We have eyes and you're the farthest thing from being "good.""
"It seems…" Olivia added. "It seems to us you want to do more than stop Zoom."
"It seems you want revenge." Harry stated. He continued, much to the Scarlet Speedster's frustration. "If that's why you're doing this, Allen, you will lose."
"And before you say anything," Seth got the speedster's attention. "this fight's nothing like my fight with Carnage."
"How is it not?" Barry exclaimed.
Seth passively and instantly reminded him. "Unlike me, you're not dying, Barry. I was dying back then because of Carnage's poison in my system, you're not dying, you're just a mess right now."
Barry ran his hands down his face, as though he was trying to rid himself of his stress. "Look, you guys. I- You may not think I can do this. You may think I'm too angry. But we're running out of time! I have to beat him, and I'm going to, whether I have your help or not."
He gave his ultimatum. "So, which one is it?"
"Fuck it." Seth got their attention, surprising everyone with his next words. "I'm in." He stated.
"What?" Barry asked in shock.
"While I do think this is gonna end up majorly biting us in the ass, I did make a promise to your old man that I'd keep you safe." He walked closer to the speedster. "And yeah, unfortunately, that means jumping down this rabbit hole with you."
"Seriously?" Barry asked again.
The elemental gave him a dry look. "I'm pretty sure I cleaned your ears before, so why are you not listening? Want me to clean them again?"
"No, please, don't!" Barry sweat bullets at the thought of being at Dr. Fury's mercy.
"Then we have a deal." He held out a hand.
"We do." Barry shook his hand.
Matt walked forward but Seth stopped him. "Matt, me and Barry are gonna handle him, you and the girls stay behind for backup, alright?"
"Fine." He accepted.
"Seth, you sure about that?" Caitlin asked him for assurance.
He assured the love of his life. "This bastard hurt you, and our daughters… Least I can do is tear him a new one." Seth smirked.
X
(Leawood, Industrial Park)
It was time.
By using the same technique and tech that Cisco and Harry used to bring Iris into the Speed Force to communicate with Barry, bringing him back again, Vibe vibed Barry to Earth-2 to agree to the race of his lifetime.
It worked and Barry was vibed to Zoom's hideout on Earth-2, conversing with the evil speedster and agreeing to the race. As he spoke with Hunter, who was impressed with how Cisco's able to bring people into his vibes, The Flash stated his conditions.
Zoom had to bring Joe back, but if he's harmed in any way, the race wouldn't happen.
Hunter agreed to the conditions, and he also informed the Scarlet Speedster that Joe wouldn't be released until after the race.
Everyone returned to the Industrial Park on Leawood, this time with Barry.
Cisco whistled impressively. "I tell you, Jay might be crazy-pants, but he can pick a venue."
"So that's the Magnetar… In all its glory." Seth said as he saw the humongous metal ring not far from them. "That thing alone can destroy the multiverse."
He wasn't gonna let that happen. If Zoom's plans succeeded it would destroy every single universe in the multiverse. Earth-2 and all of his friends on that Earth would be destroyed. Earth-616 would be destroyed. His family and friends on that Earth would disintegrate into nothing… Their world would be leveled.
Tightening his hand around the handle of his sword, Seth exhaled sharply. "We're not gonna let that bastard destroy our world… or the multiverse."
"You're right." Barry agreed with him. "But what's the plan, Seth? I don't have any idea."
"Go through with the deal… Race him." Seth stated his plan. "But try and get him off the tracks somehow, then we fight him and stop him… Together, Bar."
"You think that'll work?" Barry asked.
"Together… Yeah, it will." Seth confidently said.
"Dad?" Evelyn got her father's attention. "You sure we shouldn't help out?"
"I trust you girls above all else, and normally I'd say yes and have you help us… But this time, honey…" Seth turned around to face his daughters. "I have to be your father and protect our home, protect our family."
"Lethal Protector rises again." Ruby said with a wide smile.
"Always." Seth smiled. In the past, he wouldn't dare breath out that name again. That name belonged to a real protector, not to a man who failed to protect his son and his fiancée. But this time, after all the adventures he's had… He knew that's who he is. The Lethal Protector. That's who he is on this Earth and would forever be. This city might see The Flash as their guardian angel, but the underworld of this very city fears The Lethal Protector alone as he rules with a sword and strength of a cataclysmic king. "And for this world, I'll fight as the Lethal Protector again."
"Dad." Frankie said.
"Yeah, honey?" He asked her.
Frankie, with wet eyes, pleaded. "Don't die, please."
"I promise that's not gonna happen." Seth swore to his daughter. He kissed each of their heads. "I'm not going anywhere… except for that vacation that we're gonna go on later, after this mess."
"Your Dad's right… We have to talk about that soon." Caitlin chimed in. She mock-threateningly narrowed her eyes. "It better not be some place that allows you kids to get drinks."
"We promise you that, Mom." Ruby nodded.
"Mind if we jump in on that action?" Matt asked his brother-in-law. "We could use a vacation ourselves." He said speaking for him and his wife.
"Hells yeah." Olivia groaned.
Felicia chuckled. "This sounds like a family trip and all, but I can jump in too?"
"Sure, why not?" Seth laughed.
Caitlin held the elemental's hand. "You promise me that you won't die, okay?"
"I promise you that, Cait." Seth kissed her lips.
WHOOSH
The entire team snapped their eyes around when they heard a familiar sound of crackling lightning, where they saw Hunter Zolomon holding a cuffed Detective Joe West. "Brought the whole crew with you, huh?" Both Seth and Barry stepped forward, standing in front of their team and their family. "So, Seth's helping out again? Can't say I blame you."
"Dad!" Wally rushed forward, but Seth held him back.
"Wally!" Iris helped the mutant in keeping her brother back.
"It's gonna be one hell of a show." The evil speedster stated.
"Let Joe go, Zolomon." Seth stated.
"After we race." Hunter countered.
"Drop the act, Hunter." Matt shouted; both of his arms armed with blades.
As he kept his rifle trained on the evil speedster, Harrison revealed his plans. "We know you plan to power up the Magnetar so you can destroy the multiverse."
"Bravo. You figured it out… Almost." Hunter's words confused them. "I don't want to destroy all of it. This Earth is at the center of the multiverse. It's the access point to every other Earth in existence."
Matt's mind went to work and realized the plan. "One trans-dimensional shockwave, and…"
"Poof." Hunter finished off the nanite mutant's sentence.
"Leaving just our Earth." Cisco deduced. "How generous of you."
Hunter smiled. "Need to have some place to hang my cowl." They let the news sink in. "You might want to say your goodbyes."
"In your dreams, Zolomon." Seth countered. "We're gonna win… and you're gonna lose."
Hunter scoffed, not believing the mutant's words. He sped past the group and stood at what would be the finish line.
"Don't worry." Barry walked over to Iris and Wally. "I'm gonna save your dad." He sent a glance to Seth. "We're gonna save your Dad."
"No." Wally countered, confusing them. "You're gonna save our dad." He corrected him.
"Why doesn't that freak anyone out?!" Venom exclaimed in his head. "That can't be right to anyone. Seriously?!"
"Keep your complaints to yourself for now, Venom." Seth told his "other." "We got bigger issues to deal with than the West-Allens." He faced the others on their team. "You guys still okay with being here? It's gonna be rough and not too pretty."
"Bro, no offense, but when is anything you do pretty?" Olivia mocked her brother despite the seriousness of their situation.
"She's got a point." Felicia jokes.
"We're not going anywhere." Matt shook his head.
Cisco followed up. "We got eyes and ears right here."
Her next words, Caitlin directed to the love of her life… The father of her fourth child. "Either he goes, or we all die together."
"Go get him." Frankie smiled at her father.
"Punch him for us." Ruby said.
"And don't die." Evelyn told her father.
"Love you all." Seth smiled.
"Hey." Both Seth and Barry faced Harrison. "We believe in you both."
"First time I ever hear you say that to me." Seth admitted with a chuckle.
"Don't get used to it." Jesse came with a suggestion.
"Sounds about right." Seth nodded.
"Wait." Iris stepped close to Barry. "Barry, kick his ass."
"Seth," Caitlin got her mate's attention. "win and come back to us."
"I will… Or die trying." Seth confidently stated. "Let's go, Bar. It's time to work."
"Let's." Barry followed the elemental, speeding past him and standing in front of the evil speedster.
Tendrils shot out of Seth's left arm, wrapping around a pipe. Pulling on them, the elemental slingshot him to the pipe. His clothes shifted and turned into black symbiotic matter before spreading over his form, enlarging his form till he stood as Venom. As his skeletal extensions spread around his arms and covered his face, he snarled like an animal as he peered his crimson red eyes at the evil metahuman.
With Seth ready close by, Barry turned his attention to Hunter. "What are the rules?"
Pointing a thumb backwards at the Magnetar, Hunter explained. "One lap around the inside of this loop will produce about 1 gigawatt of energy, and I need 500-plus to power the Magnetar enough to do the job. Once it's full, I win, because there is no stopping it."
"So, all I have to do to beat you is stop you before that happens." Barry surmised.
"Yep. It's that simple." Hunter smirked at the elemental. "And good for me, Seth can't interfere without damaging the Magnetar, which will blow up the planet as a result." He saw Seth sneer in anger. Looking back to Barry, he said. "But if, at any point, you decide you don't want to race anymore, dear old Dad number two is a dead man, as well as you and Seth's little fan club." He turned to stand beside the Scarlet Speedster.
"They're not our fan club." Barry countered. "They're reasons why we're fighting." He said with a nod to the elemental who watched them closely. "And why we're gonna beat you." He took a running stance.
"Let's see what you're made of Flash." Zoom took a running stance.
Seth watched both speedsters pull their cowls over their heads. "Beat him, Flash." He told the Scarlet Speedster. The fate of the multiverse is in their hands… and his… feet?
The Flash told the other speedster. "Just say when, Zoom."
"Run, Barry." Zoom started. "Run!"
WHOOSH
The moment he uttered the word, the two speedsters sped away. Everyone saw the speedsters run towards the loop in flashes of lightning. In an instant, they ran up the humongous, already finishing their tenth lap… if not their 50th lap.
Seeing a flash of white lightning under the loop, Seth turned his eyes to the Magnetar and saw a silvery electrical discharge. The discharge reached the Magnetar, converging on the sphere in the middle of the metallic loop.
"Wells, what's happening?!" Venom asked the Earth-2 scientist.
"He's powering up the Magnetar!" Harrison shouted his reply.
Venom swung his head back to the loop, seeing even more white lightning converge on the sphere. It was akin to pure white-gray energy that enveloped the metallic sphere.
"Come on, Barry. Catch up." Cisco chanted.
Their fears… Their worst fears became true when the energy around the Magnetar sphere shot up like a pillar, akin to a beam of light. It reached the darkened skies over their heads and split the sky open like a rift.
"Seth." The host heard his partner say to gain his attention.
Seth asks. "What is it?"
Instead of answering with words, the symbiote took control of his clawed hand and raised it in front of the mutant's face. In the middle of his palm, the crystal marble floated to the surface, shining brightly with a multitude of colors when it came out and into the open.
"It's shining…" The symbiote and elemental said in unison.
After Barry took notice of the rift in the sky…
A much brighter shine erupted on the metallic look that the speedsters ran on… as a burst of yellow lightning appeared and…
Two Flashes… ran side by side… after Zoom.
"What the fuck is that?" Olivia gasped.
"Two… Two Barrys…?" Matt gulped in shock.
"Which one's Barry?" Jesse asked.
"Both of them." Harrison confirmed with a smile.
"Wait he did Zoom's trick, didn't he?" Frankie asked.
"What trick?" Felicia wondered.
Harry started. "He made a-"
"Time remnant!" Cisco jumped in.
"Nice job." Ruby said impressively.
X
As they continued to chase the evil speedster on the humongous metal loop, the two Flashes turned their eyes to one another for a knowing look. After sharing that glance and a nod of confirmation, they separated…
One continued to chase Zoom…
The other one sped off the loop, running down to Joe who stood close to the Magnetar. Before the detective could fire off a question, the time remnant vibrated his hand, destroying the cuffs on his hands. "Go, all right? Go! I'll explain later, Joe." He exclaimed to the detective, pushing him away.
Hearing a heavy thudding behind him, the time remnant turned his eyes back and saw Venom raising to his feet. "Not bad, Speed-Freak."
"New tricks are never too late to learn." The speedster gestured to the mutant's sword. "Like you and your sword…" Barry turned serious. "You ready?"
Matching his serious expression, Seth responded adamantly. "Always." Venom's attention was diverted when he saw both the real Barry and Zoom fly off the loop, landing far from them.
"Help him!" The time remnant shouted. "I'll take care of the Magnetar." Trusting the remnant's words, the elemental ran over to the speedsters. Using tendrils, he slingshot himself off the ground and over their position.
Zoom pinned The Flash to the ground. "A remnant?" He returned to his feet. "Stole my trick, Flash." A violent and powerful pulse emitted from the Magnetar, shaking the ground. "But you're too late." An immense whirring sound emitted from the ring. "Bye-bye, multiverse."
"No chance!" Venom declared, slamming both of his flaming feet into Zoom and shot him off of Barry. Backflipping he landed on his feet again. "Let's tear him a new one, Flash!" He grabbed the Scarlet Speedster by his arm and spun him around.
Like a projectile, he threw the speedster after Zoom. Barry used the extra momentum, spiraling in the air before lashing out his feet and kicking the evil speedster down to the ground.
Zoom looked up and saw Venom clench an adamantium arm before thrusting downwards for his head. Using his speed to twist and turn out of the way, he dodged the adamantium strike. Returning to his full height, Hunter swung his lightning-enveloped claws for the elemental, who blocked the attack with his crystal sword.
Parrying his claws to the side, Seth thrusted a flame-enveloped fist into the speedster's face. The strike to his face hurled Zoom into a wall. Barry took over, thrusting his fists into his stomach, making him grunt in pain.
But Zoom countered by swinging his own fists, hitting the Scarlet Speedster in the face. Before he could hit him again, tendrils wrapped around both Hunter's legs and arms from behind. The black tendrils pulled him up and into the air but only for a second before he was swung into a cluster of big pipes.
Flash clenched his fists, yellow lightning crackling over them both.
Venom snarled, his black flames enveloping his sword completely.
X
Everyone on the team saw the time remnant running around the Magnetar incredibly fast.
"What's the time remnant doing?" Evelyn asked the scientists on the team.
Matt chuckled in disbelief. "He's creating his own pulse."
"Why would he do that?" Jesse asked.
"Because…" Harrison started, pointing a finger at the machine. "…if that's out of phase, it'll counteract that one."
Frankie's eyes shifted around in realization. "Wait, his body can't handle that."
"Then what's gonna happen to him?" Ruby asked.
"He'll die." Caitlin informed the team.
Their attention returned to the immense beam of white-gray energy that now turned into a red-yellow surge. It reached the rift in the sky, darkening it with its reddish colors. And the time remnant continued to run around the Magnetar…
He continued to run… even as his body slowly disintegrated into yellow-white dust… His dust turned into energy and the time remnant screamed… but stopped when his entire being turned into energy…
The energy converged on the beam of energy… Turning it into a bright yellowish beam that reached the rift…
Everyone in the team… anyone could actually see the rift itself… They all saw it close down, ending with a bright flash like a small sun that disappeared just as soon as it was birthed.
"NO!" Zoom screeched in blind rage, running around before hitting both The Flash and Venom with lightning-cloaked fists, hurling them away from him.
But the Scarlet Speedster regained his foot, speeding back to him and hit him with a series of fists again. Venom joined the onslaught, swinging his abyssal flame-coated sword for him. Zoom saw it coming and avoided it.
He's familiar with the black flames that Blackfire once used… and he didn't want to go through what he put dozens of others through.
Barry used that moment and sped forward, grabbing the evil speedster and ran up the side of a building. Venom watched the Scarlet Speedster run all over the place, slamming Zoom into various places if the echoing sound of heaving thudding was any indication.
WHOOSH
Barry returned to the ground, tackling Zoom into a big fuse box. He punched the evil speedster's face, making him grunt in pain. Enragedly The Flash continued the assault, attacking both his face and his stomach with a series of superspeed attacks.
Zoom sped away, escaping Barry's onslaught.
However, Venom appeared and thrusted out his sword, projecting a column of his black flames on the ground. The ground was ablaze with abyssal flames and Zoom's legs were hit by them, and he fell to the asphalt. He would have kept rolling on the ground if Seth hadn't appeared in front of him and punched him again. This attack hurled him to the ground, cracking the hardened earth.
The Flash sped to them, bending down to the speedster who killed his father, and tore off a piece of his mask. With a piece of his mask taken off, half of Hunter's face was exposed.
Reeling back his hand, Barry vibrated his hand just like how Reverse-Flash did when he killed his mother.
"Flash, wait!" Venom said, halting the speedster from executing his adversary.
"You're a hero, Barry." Hunter chuckled humorously. "You couldn't kill me before. You won't kill me now."
Glancing at Seth, giving him a nod, Barry stopped phasing his hand and gave a smirk. "I won't, yeah… But he might."
Hunter's eyes expanded in terror when a series of black tendrils pulled on his form, smashing him into the ground. He groaned in pain, but it was quickly overshadowed by shock when Seth pulled him back to his feet, standing as Seth Fury-
"AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!" Hunter screamed in torment when he felt the mutant drive his crystal blade into the side of his stomach, still blazing hot with black flames.
"Look at me!" Seth demanded, forcing the speedster to look into his eyes with a hand on the back of his head. "That's… That's for Henry… For Earth-2, my friends… For Earth-1 and my friends… For Ruby… For Evelyn… For Frankie…" He sneered, yanking out his sword which made Zoom fall to his knees.
Barry watched Seth take a step back, reigniting the black flames on his crystal sword. He had to shield his eyes, narrowing them to look through the gaps between his fingers, when he saw a multicolored light shine through the gaps of Seth's fingers on his right hand.
"What the…" He trailed off in confusion.
"And this…" Seth reeled back his sword, the flames intensified around his blade. "Is for me… and for what you did to Caitlin!"
With lightning and wind increasing his speed, the earth and adamantium inside of his arm strengthening his bones, Seth swung his sword with blinding speed and cut the evil speedster's chest.
SCREAM
Hunter screamed in agony as he felt the burning sword penetrate his suit and cut his flesh. He felt the combination of wind and lightning travel through the mutant's arm, across his blade and connect with him, propelling him down to the cracking ground. He continued to scream and scream.
"He's still alive?" Barry asked in surprise. He thought for sure that that attack alone would have cut him in two. Maybe this was Seth's insane way to make Hunter suffer for what he did to his family, making him suffer till Death came for him.
"Of course, he is." Seth passively confirmed. Barry faced him but closed his eyes again when he saw him unclench his right hand, revealing a crystal marble with different colors. The marble itself is shining brightly, akin to a disco ball. "He has to be so I can do this."
"What?" Barry managed to ask.
"Keep my end of the deal." Seth vaguely answered while tilting his hand, dropping the marble to the ground. Whistling loudly to gain Zoom's attention, which he did despite the pain he's experiencing, the mutant said. "Adios, bitch."
Raising his right foot, he turned it adamantium before bringing it down on the crystal.
SHATTER
Upon impact the crystal shattered completely, releasing what was like a pulse that mixed with the shattering sound. Barry was happy that the shine disappeared, but he was confused by what Seth just did.
Confusion turned to… a mix of even more confusion and shock… Then into terror…
When a huge swirling white-grayish portal opened up in the sky… And through the portal… Not one or two, but four Time Wraiths flew out of it and flew towards the evil speedster.
"What the hell?" Barry asked.
"No time for explanation!" Seth exclaimed, taking the speedster by his shoulder and jumped backwards to stay out of the wraiths' way. Barry screamed in astonishment when he found himself flying off the ground.
Somehow the burning sensation on Zoom's body disappeared and was instantly replaced with a much greater fear when he saw four of the Speed Force enforcers coming his way. The four of them screeched and he screamed in response.
Seth, Barry and the rest of the team listened as Zoom's screams mixed with the wraiths' screeches. They kept watching as the four wraiths circled him like sharks swimming around their prey. Hunter swung his head left and right, twisting and turning, seemingly ensnared and unable to move away from the Time Wraiths.
Strangely enough, his blue lightning turned into something else… turning into red lightning. And his skin decayed, as though he's losing moisture… no… as though he was becoming a living corpse… and his suit melted to his flesh, becoming one with it.
Two of the wraiths took the decayed speedster by his arms and flew him up, flying him towards the portal that they came from. The third one took him by his legs, keeping Hunter Zolomon from struggling as they flew him away.
The very last one turned their heads, facing Barry and Seth.
"Oh God." Barry readied himself for another fight, lightning sparking over his form.
But Seth held out his hand in front of the speedster, telling him. "Don't worry. They're not here for you or me." While Barry turned confused by his words, the elemental turned to face the wraith. "I kept up my end of the deal! Just like you did with yours! We're square!"
The wraith screeched in response before following the others that already flew into the portal.
"Bon voyage, Hunter Zolomon and stay away." Seth bid the evil speedster farewell.

(S.T.A.R. Labs, The Cortex)
Wally West, taking after his father, struggled to comprehend the science of Barry's technique that brought forth a time remnant. Everyone couldn't help but laugh at the racer's inability to understand the science. Definitely the son of Joe West. "Okay, so you ran back in time and made a copy of yourself?" He asked Barry.
"Well… Basically. Yeah." Barry answered.
"It's called a time remnant." Jesse clarified.
Barry added. "It's not something that I can do every day, but I needed a way to be at two places at once, to save Joe and get Zoom off the tracks." He turned to face Seth who stood with his family. "But I'm surprised you could bring the Time Wraiths out of the Speed Force like that. So easy too."
"Not exactly easy." Seth corrected with a shaking head while scratching the back of his head.
"And what did you mean by "keeping your end of the deal"?" Olivia asked her brother after hearing his words back at the industrial park.
Now that he kept up his end of the agreement, he spilled the beans. "Truth of the matter is… Back on Earth-2… I fought and lost against two of those Time Wraiths."
"You fought those wraiths?" Caitlin asked in concern.
"Yeah, thought they'd killed me back then. None of my attacks worked on them and they honestly terrified me. I thought I was a goner when they used that death touch thing on me." Seth said in honesty, his family turning scared by his confession. But he assured them with his next words. "But instead, they dragged me into something like… like a thunderstorm, like a vortex."
Iris narrowed her eyes in realization. "That's what Cisco said when he vibed Barry after he died. That's how he described the Speed Force."
"You were in the Speed Force, Dad? Cool." Ruby stated.
"Apparently, yeah." The elemental explained. "Don't know how or why, but the Time Wraiths dragged me inside of it and they gave me a deal…"
"A deal?" Frankie asked.
"A deal where, in exchange for giving me the location of a breach that led back to Earth-1, back home, and the ability to destroy breaches with my black flames… I'd let them take away my ability to discharge elements and they'd give me an assignment."
"That crystal you used back there, right?" Barry deduced.
"Winner, winner, chicken dinner." Seth confirmed with a quip. "They gave me that crystal back in the Speed Force, telling me to use it against Zoom when it shone brightly. But I couldn't tell anyone on the team, not even my family."
"Wait a second!" Matt practically jumped out of the side lab, hearing his brother-in-law talking. Pointing a screwdriver at him, he inquired. "When you and I fought before, you knew I took a sample of your blood, didn't you?"
"I did." Seth confirmed, much to Matt's shock. "Per my agreement with the Speed Force, I couldn't tell anyone about my deal… But there was a loophole. I couldn't tell anyone about the deal, in its entirety, but I could disclose parts of it without giving away the source."
"You made sure to only tell us part of your deal." Evelyn recalled.
"Yeah." Seth nodded. "Risky trusting something I'm unfamiliar with, yeah…" He locked eyes with his three daughters and the love of his life. "But at that point, I would have made a deal with the devil himself to get back to my family again."
"But Seth, why did they ask you to do this? I mean, why did the Speed Force ask you to do this when Barry creating a Time Remnant could have invoked Time Wraiths to come as well?" Caitlin asked.
"Before tonight, I wasn't sure about that actually." Seth started. Turning to Joe, he continued. "But after hearing Joe's words after he heard Zoom's words on Earth-2, I think it's because of the fact Zoom escaped the enforcers before."
Joe nodded his head agreeingly. "Yeah, he said the Speed Force wasn't keen on him bending their rules and everything. They were after him before, but he got away."
"I think that's why they wanted me to have that crystal and use it against him." Seth said with a gesture to himself. "When the time would come, I'd be able to hurt him and weaken him enough for me to smash the marble and call more Wraiths to take him away."
"They tried to overpower him with numbers…" Olivia realized, and Seth nodded his confirmation.
All the while they spoke and explained everything… Wally's jaw fell to the floor and he struggled to comprehend their words.
The detective laughed at his son's expression. "Is that what I look like when they start talking about science?" He asked his daughter.
Gleefully, she answered. "Pretty much."
Joe chortled, facing his son. "Don't worry, Wally. It'll get easier to understand."
Wally shook himself out of his confused trance. "Well, how does that even work?" He directed the speedster and the elemental.
For himself, Barry answered. "Same way Zoom did it. I ran back in time moments before I left. It's the only way I can be in two places at once."
"And the Speed Force involved me in this matter cause I had the power to destroy breaches after I got Blackfire's flames. Plus, they taught me how to do it at will, which is pretty cool." Seth chose to forgo the mentioning of how excruciating it was for him to get the power. "And this way they also had a backup plan, should Zoom have avoided us somehow."
"That's awesome…" Wally stated. Turning back to Barry, he asked. "Okay, so the time remnant, it's still you?"
He slowly nodded. "Yeah."
"But he died." Seth recalled the remnant's final moments.
Once again, Barry nodded. "He was willing to sacrifice himself for all of us."
"That's how much he loved us." Iris stated.
Caitlin turned to Seth. "Kinda like how you choose to trust a universal force that could have killed you." She alluded to the Speed Force deal he made.
"To get back to you and our family… I'd do anything." Seth smiled and the two shared a kiss.
"You know what?" Wally shook his head rapidly. "We'll just- We'll forget about it. Seth, Barry, I'm glad you're both okay."
Turning to his brother-in-law, Seth told him. "Sorry for taking advantage of you like that, Matt."
"It's fine, man. you did what you had to do." Matt told him.
"Stark, get your ass in here!" Harrison called out to the nanite mutant.
Matt gritted his teeth. "You don't give me orders, Wells!" He moved back into the room to help Harry and Cisco.
After their fight with Zoom, watching him get dragged into the Speed Force, Matt and Seth took a quick trip to Earth-2 and went into Zoom's hideout. There they released the prisoners. They had CCPD come and take Nathan Bliss in. He's got a cell with his name on it.
Returning to Earth-1 with the iron masked prisoner, Matt, Cisco and Harrison went to work on getting his mask off. But it proved itself to be a difficult task….
Because three scientists from different Earths had to work together… and they hated that, very much.
"You know what?" Harrison faced Cisco. "In battle, choose your weapon wisely."
Rolling his eyes, the viber handed him a screwdriver. "Here."
"All right? Some people choose a gun." Harrison used it to remove a screw. "I choose a Phillips-head screwdriver."
"Oh, oh, I'm sorry. You're so particular." Cisco sarcastically said.
"I'd go for a broadsword." Matt chimed in while unscrewing a screw on his side. "Then again I can handle something bigger than a gun."
Harry held up the screwdriver to his face like he would hold a sword. "Don't tempt me, Stark. I'll melt you and make you into a teapot."
"Oh yeah, Wells, try it. I'll blast you through the entire multiverse!" Matt countered.
"Seriously you two?" Cisco asked, and inwardly he felt out of place.
"Ramon please…" Harrison groaned. "Have you ever worked with a tool before?"
"I'm working with two right now." Cisco snidely said, referring to the conflicting engineers from different Earths.
"Seriously think we could have just blasted his helmet off." Matt for the thousandth time stated his original plan. "One repulsor blast." He snapped his fingers. "Mask off in an instant."
"Dude, do you want him to go without a head now or what?" Cisco countered. And for a second, Matt seemed to contemplate that idea.
"He's not." Harrison interrupted the powered scientists. "Are you ready?" He asked the two and they nodded their confirmations. "One… Two… and…" With each word he pulled off a strap and his last one, he turned a joint on the back of the masked man's head,
Matt pulled off the iron mask, and the man who wears it gives a heavy sigh of relief. "I don't know what's more annoying, being in that thing," the three scientists paled at the face looking back at them. "or listening to you three arguing about it."
Everyone heard the voice and faced the direction of the lab that the four of them were inside of. Every one of them looked utterly shocked at the sight….
"What the…" Seth trailed off in shock…
Standing in the middle of the Cortex, before their very eyes is… someone with the face of Henry Allen…
Barry gaped his mouth. "You're…" He trailed off.
"I'm Jay Garrick…" The formerly imprisoned speedster stated. "The real Jay Garrick." Everyone else saw Barry looking away before turning back to Jay, who responded in confusion. "What?"
"I'm sorry. I-I'm sorry." Barry stammered before walking out of the Cortex.
"Seth?" Joe got his attention. "Come with me."
"Fine." He accepted and walked with the detective after the Earth-1 speedster. The two of them found Barry sitting in the hallway, tears falling from his eyes. "Barry."
Turning his teary eyes to them, Barry gestured to the Cortex entrance. "He looks just like him. He looks just like my Dad, guys. I can't believe this." He returned to his feet. "My dad told me. He told me this."
"What? What do you mean?" Seth inquired.
"He said his mom's maiden name was Garrick." Barry replied. Seth recalled how Barry took a trip to visit his father during the time he was without his speed. "I just never thought that that meant…"
"Barry, Barry." Joe placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Barry, he doesn't know that. He doesn't know that he's your dad's doppelganger, okay?"
"He's not your Dad, Bar…" Seth leant against the wall behind the speedster who glanced at him. "What he is, is the man who allowed me to escape with Evie and Rubs, getting them out of Zoom's prison… He's someone I'm indebted to."
He spoke honestly. He wanted to express his gratitude to the speedster.
"You want me to tell him that you had to leave?" Joe asked Barry.
Barry shook his head. "No. No."
The detective asked. "You sure?"
"Yeah. I just need a minute." Barry assured him.
X
A while later, everyone had returned and gathered in the Cortex again. While Cisco and Harry checked the helmet that he wore during his imprisonment on Earth-2, the others saw Jay Garrick straighten his suit. It's identical to the suit that Hunter Zolomon wore when he impersonated him as The Flash.
As it's the same as the one Hunter wore, the suit consists of a light red jacket with a golden lightning bolt on the center of it with blue at the waist. His pants are still blue, and has red boots and wears a belt with a buckle that's similar to the ones Barry has on his suit.
"Nice suit, Flash." Seth complimented him with a thumbs up.
"Thank you, Seth." Jay said while finishing straightening his red jacket.
"That's smart." Harry stated.
"Because of…" Cisco added while the two of them walked out of the lab with the helmet in their hands. "Yeah, and there it is."
"Genius." Harrison pointed to the inner sides of the helmet.
Cisco turned to the speedster and Harry walked over to another desk. "So, the reason you didn't have your powers is because there was a dampener in the mask. You see?" He handed the mask to him.
"That's why he was powerless that entire time." Matt stated in realization.
"Yeah." Cisco nodded.
Jay turned angry and vibrated his hand. "I don't want to see this thing ever again." He cut the mask in two pieces.
"Well, damn." Frankie swore. "So, your powers are back again."
"Hallelujah!" Evelyn quipped excitedly.
Ruby chuckled at her sisters' antics. "You two are awful."
"I see Jay- Excuse me… Hunter…" Joe corrected himself before gesturing Jay's suit. "Stole your color scheme too."
In slight anger and regret, Jay answered. "He took a lot of things that were mine, except for that." He pointed to the silver kettle helmet. "That's- That's all him." Harry picked it up.
Iris recalled the story. "He said it was his father's from the war."
"Yeah, the War of Americas." Olivia remembered.
Harrison walked forward. "Ironically, on my… on our Earth…" He gestured to his daughter. "This helmet stood for hope."
"Yeah?" Jay curiously said and Harry nodded. "Well, maybe I can continue that sentiment," He stepped closer to the Earth-2 scientist, taking the helmet out of his hand. "take something from him, for a change, make it my own." He put the helmet on.
Caitlin smiled. "It suits you."
"Thank you, all of you, for saving me from Zoom," Jay Garrick expressed his gratitude. He faced Barry. "especially you, Flash."
Barry lifted his head. "You're welcome, Flash."
Jay tipped his helmet in a greeting. Seth walked over to him and held out his hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you, once and for all, Jay Garrick."
"You too," Jay shook hands with the elemental. "Seth Fury."
"I can't thank you enough for what you did… You let yourself stay in that prison longer when you let me, and the girls escape. I owe you for that." Seth sincerely spoke.
Jay shook his head in disagreement. "You owe me nothing, Seth. I knew what I was in for, and I'd happily do it again if it meant you and those poor girls getting out of that hellhole. Any debt you think you owe me; they're already paid in full. Not only did you protect those poor girls, but you also protected a city and a world that's not even your native world." He added with a gesture to himself, now free and out of a cell.
"Thanks for everything you did for my Dad and my sisters." Frankie told the speedster.
"Thank you, Mr. Garrick." Caitlin said with a smile.
"Yeah thanks." Ruby nodded her thanks.
"Thank you for it." Evelyn added.
He smiled at the four of them. Jay turned to Seth. "It's a wonderful family you have, Venom."
"I know… The best of the best." Seth admitted with a wide smile, completely agreeing with his words. It is a wonderful family he has.
Jay inhaled deeply and declared. "Now all I have to do is find my way home."
At those words, Matt, Olivia and Felicia shared a look.
Wally narrowed his eyes. "And where's that?"
"I think you would call it Earth-3." Jay answered while holding up three fingers.
"Uh-uh. Well, I can get you to Earth-2." Cisco sheepishly replied.
Harrison pitched in. "My daughter and I can help you with the rest."
"We can?" Jesse asked.
With a smile, Harry faced his daughter. "Yes, we can. We're going home." Jesse smiled immensely wide.
"Actually…" Olivia got everyone's attention. "They're not the only ones going home."
"What do you mean?" Seth asked with a raised eyebrow.
Olivia informed, clarifying her words. "Matt… Felicia… and I… We're going back to Earth-616."
"What?" Caitlin asked.
Seth… tilted his head.
X
(Breach Room)
Everyone moved into the Breach Room of the facility, except for Jesse and Harrison who got all of their items and packed their bags. As they waited for them to come down, they focused on what Olivia informed upstairs…
That they'd move back to Earth-616.
With arms crossed over his chest, Seth stood in front of Felicia, Olivia and Matt. Caitlin stood beside him and listened as the elemental asked. "You're all three going back?"
Matt nodded. "Yeah… Livia and I talked about it for a while, and Felicia said something similar, and… We've thought about it a lot, Seth."
"This is our decision, Ace." Felicia stated.
"But why?" Caitlin asked, trying to hold back tears.
"You know why, Caity…" Olivia bit her lower lip, turning to her brother. "Seth, there's something I have to tell you."
Seth's next words would shock everyone in the Breach Room with the force of a tidal wave.
"If this isn't about your pregnancy, I'm ready to be shocked." He casually said.
"What?!" Olivia screeched.
"You knew?!" Caitlin shouted.
"How?!" Matt exclaimed.
Every time someone shouted, Seth covered his ears with adamantium hands. Assured that none of them would shout again, he removed them with a sigh of relief and stated. "Come on, guys, give me some credit here. I'm a doctor, too."
He looked at his little sister. "I knew something was up because you were acting standoffish, putting distance between us and all. You've been emotional, getting strange mood swings and you also been eating a bit more than usual. But that's not what gave it away."
A vein popped in Olivia's forehead; she grit her teeth. "I swear if you say it's because I'm nicer, like everyone else's been saying, I will throw a tantrum and turn you inside-out bro." She sneered through gritted teeth, everyone around the Fury siblings wondering if that was really her heightened hormones talking or if it's just her usual personality.
Eyes widening in surprise, Seth shockingly said. "You've been nice? Since when? I've been waiting for that since we were kids." He chuckled when she dropped her face at his words. Chuckling again, he continued and revealed. "What gave it away was the fact that you stayed away from the battlefield. You're the most combatant person in this facility other than me. Then I remembered something Storm told us back on Earth-616. She said some mutants, during pregnancy, can't access their powers due to their bodily functions devoting themselves to the birth of the child. That's why you've been staying away from a battle. You'd never be sidelined unless you had a good reason."
"Two." Seth's eyes expanded in shock. Olivia smiled, rubbing her stomach slowly. "I got two reasons for being sidelined."
He realized what she meant. "You're with twins…" Seth let out, a single tear rolling out of his eye. Olivia nodded. Wiping the tear away, he stepped closer to her and hugged her. "Congrats, baby sis."
"Thanks, big bro." She reciprocated with her own arms wrapping around his form.
Seth looked up to Matt and opened an arm. The nanite mutant chuckled and joined the hug. "Congrats to you too, Matty."
"Thanks, Seth." He said back.
"Does this mean… You're really leaving?" Caitlin asked them… Inwardly she feared Seth might just join them.
"Looks they are." Seth said, pulling out of the hug. Facing his mate, he saw a look of fear looking back at him. "I'm not going anywhere, babe."
"You're not?" Caitlin asked in a mixture of both relief and astonishment. "Thought you'd be leaving too since you're a doctor who specializes in mutants."
"On this Earth, yeah, that's right." Seth nodded to the ground as though it's this world he's talking about. "But on Earth-616, there's dozens of doctors who specialize in powered individuals and pregnancies. They're gonna be in good hands without me. And this is my home, Cait. I'm not going anywhere." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a flash drive. "But in case you need help, here."
"What's that?" Matt took the drive and looked it over.
"With Jarvis' help, I put all of my knowledge on this drive, anything and everything related to mutation and mutants, and pregnancies." Seth tapped the drive. "If you need anything it's gonna be on this little guy."
"Thanks." Olivia smiled and turned to Caitlin. "Caity, I'm sorry… But yeah, the three of us are leaving."
"It's gonna be hard to not see you guys again." Caitlin confessed. She knew that if it was her, she'd definitely do the same. When her own pregnancy reaches that point, she'd have a talk with Seth and perhaps discuss leaving Team Flash for good to focus on their family.
That wasn't unlikely.
But it'd be hard to go without seeing Felicia, Olivia and Matt every day. They're family after all. And Caitlin feels like she owes everything to the pregnant psychic. Last year when she and Seth broke up, Olivia was the one who made Caitlin realize what happened to him, what he was going through.
It's because of Olivia that she managed to find her way back to him… and that was something that Caitlin couldn't hope to repay.
"Liv, I really don't know how it's gonna be without you, Felicia and Matt here." Caitlin said with teary eyes.
"Aww, Caity." The burglar stepped closer to her and hugged her. "You know, you can always call us for a girls' night. We're just a portal jump away."
"She's right, Caity." Olivia agreed. She walked closer to her and joined the hug. "You call us when you need anything… Besides, you don't need us here. You got my stubborn bro here, not to mention, three wonderful daughters you have to take care of with him."
"I do, yeah, I do." Caitlin agreed with a chuckle.
Matt turned to Seth. "You sure you're okay with us leaving, Seth? We could stay-"
"Stop it." He cut him off. "You're gonna have a family soon, Matty. Focus on them, not us. We're gonna be fine." Seth exhaled and gave his daughters a look. "I'm gonna take my own advice, go on a vacation with Cait and our kids. Just be a normal family for a while."
"Normal's not in our cards, Seth." Matt admitted.
"Yeah, you're right, abnormal is much more fun and way more exciting for us." Seth countered with a smirk. "It's gonna be weird not seeing you all the time, Matty… Gonna miss you." He held out his hand for his brother-in-law.
"You too, brother." Matt said and shook hands with his brother-in-law.
Felicia walked over to Seth. "Hope you're not gonna miss me too much, Ace."
"I'll try." He sarcastically quipped. "But I'm glad you're sure about all of this. I know you've been lonely for a while and you've been a bit homesick too. Sorry I didn't check up on you earlier, Cat."
"It's okay, Ace." Felicia smiled. "But I'm definitely sure about this. This old cat has to go back to her old roots and take care of herself for once."
"Thanks for everything you've done for my girls, especially training Frankie." Seth hugged the cat burglar. "Gonna miss you."
"You too, Ace." Felicia hugged him back.
Olivia walked over to her nieces. "The three of you…" She cried at the sight of them. "Be good to your parents and whoop the bag guys' asses, okay?"
"Will do, Auntie." Frankie hugged her aunt.
"Gonna miss you." Evelyn tearfully said.
"… It's gonna be hard without you and Unc." Ruby told her.
"I'll come visit, and if you can convince your parents, swing by 616, then I can show your cool Aunt on her home turf." Olivia joked while stroking the back of Frankie's head. "I'll miss the three of you… But next time we see each other, you'll see your cousins for the first time."
"Can't wait to see them." Seth added when hearing her words.
Cisco walked over to the nanite mutant. "Can't believe I'm losing my buddy like this." They shared a hug.
"Call me sometime, or visit me. That'd be cool." Matt told him.
As the Earth-616ers bid their farewells to his children, Joe walked over to the elemental who wiped away another tear. "You doing okay there?"
"Not gonna lie, it's gonna be hard. She's my baby sister after all." He smiled at the sight of his sister embracing Iris. "But I knew she always wanted kids ever since I adopted Bucky…. It's gonna hurt like hell, but I'm happy for her nonetheless." He chuckled and looked at the detective. "I might have to let go of my sister, but I still have a brother." He referred to Joe.
Joe chortled at his words. "I'm older than you, pal."
"And yet you're still hanging out with me, old man." Seth countered with a quip.
"Well, he's better than any of his kids, that's for sure." Venom stated agreeingly.
"Feels like you got a lot of repressed feelings about the West-Allens, man…."
"Okay." They all saw Harry and Jesse walk into the Breach Room, walking down the stairs. Harrison Wells walked over to Seth and Caitlin. Starting with the female doctor, he said. "Snow…You're a tremendous scientist, but… You're an even better person."
Tears were already wettening the surfaces of her eyes. "Don't make me cry, Harry." She hugged the Earth-2 scientist. "I've done enough of that already."
Seth chuckled, it sounded so cute to him.
Letting go of her, Harry turned to Joe and held out his hand. "Detective Joe West…"
"Harry." Joe shook hands with him.
"You have great kids. You take care of them." Harry nodded to the detective's children.
"Same to you." Joe responded, pointing a finger at Jesse. "You take care of that beautiful girl."
"Yes, sir." Harrison smiled. He turned to the three Earth-616ers. "You three… Albeit immensely dangerous and life-threatening, for me at least, it was a pleasure meeting you all, and I won't forget what you've taught me."
"Pleasure meeting you too, Harry." Matt nodded.
"It's been a blast for sure." Olivia smilingly told him.
Facing Seth, Harry stated. "Fury… I can't thank you enough for protecting my daughter on Earth-2 and for saving my home as well." He shook hands with the elemental. "Thanks… and you showed me something important."
"What?" Seth asked.
"That good comes in all forms… and that darkness can even be good." Harrison confessed.
"You're getting soft, Harry." He smirked.
Harrison smirked, releasing his hand from the mutant's and walked over to the Earth-1 speedster who greeted him. "Hey." They shook hands.
They shared a hug and Harry confessed. "I'm a better man than I was when I got here, and that's cause of you."
With a shrug, Barry replied. "I'm not the same either." He gave his arm a soft pat.
"Hey," Cisco got the Earth-2 scientist's attention. "don't be surprised if I project myself over to Earth-2 every once in a while, you know, just to throw your stuff across the office."
Harry chuckled at that joke. "I'll miss you too, Cisco." He patted his shoulder.
As they shared a hug, Jesse walked closer to Wally. "So, I guess I can't text you from another Earth?"
Pretending to mull it over for a second, Wally said. "I guess not."
"That's too bad." She hugged the former drag racer. When unwrapping herself from him, she looked between everyone on Team Flash. "Thank you, guys, seriously, for saving our home." She turned to Seth for a moment. "And Seth, thanks for helping me out of that hellhole."
"No problem." Seth wrapped his arms around Evelyn and Ruby. "Plus, I got to adopt two awesome daughters from that."
"Yeah… Gonna miss you, Jesse." Ruby told the Earth-2 girl.
"You too, Rubs." Jesse nodded.
"Ready?" Jay Garrick asked the father and daughter as he put on his helmet.
"Yeah." Jesse answered for them both.
Jay grabbed hold of their backs with a hand on each of their backs, readying themselves. The three gave a collective nod to Cisco who put on his Vibe Glasses. Stretching out a clenched hand, he projected a vibrational blast that opened a breach before their eyes.
WHOOSH
And in an instant, Jay Garrick sped through the breach with the two Earth-2 people. The breach closed behind them.
Cisco took off his goggles. With a sigh he turned to the nanite mutant. "I can't breach to 616, so that's your area, Matt."
"I got it." Matt threw the spherical dimensional device up in the air. Catching it again, he pointed in the direction of where Cisco opened the breach. Pressing the button top of it, he opened up a portal to Earth-616.
"That's our way back…" Felicia stepped forward as the first one. "Later peeps."
"Be good, Cat." Seth told her and the cat burglar gave him a flirty wink.
"You know me better than that, don't you, Ace?" She quipped before backflipping into the portal behind her. It shined brightly with a pulse as she passed through it.
"Guess it's our turn…" Matt trailed off, facing his wife. "Ready?"
"Yeah." Olivia nodded. She looked to her brother. "You sure about this, Bro?"
"Sis…" Seth showed a wide smile, assuring his baby sister. "Take care of each other… and take care of your babies, alrighty?" A pair of tendrils stuck out of his back, waving at the married mutants.
"Gonna miss you all." Olivia said with teary eyes. Wiping her tears away, she turned to her husband. "Let's go home."
"Let's." Matt smiled.
Both turned around, their backs facing the team, before they jumped through the portal… closing behind them and the married mutants left Earth-1… Completely. It definitely caused his heart to crack. For as long as he can remember, Seth was more than just Olivia's brother…
He was her father… her mother… her everything… He's her protector. Parts of him couldn't help but feel bad, because he felt like he had to let go of her. But he knew it was time for him to stop doting her and worrying about her every second, despite every single instinct in his core telling him to do so. He had to let go of his sister so she could focus on her own family, focus on her own children that are gonna finally see this world in what's gonna feel like a few short months…
But he was still in pain nonetheless to see her leave.
Caitlin's hand intertwined with her mate's. "You okay?"
"Not gonna lie… it hurts seeing my sister leave." He confessed. "But I have to accept it. Thanks for it, Cait." He kissed her on the lips. He thanked whatever universal force that pulled him to Earth-1, allowing him to meet the most wonderful woman to ever exist. Just a single moment with her was enough for him to forget about his problems. Any weight on his mind and shoulders fades away with a single kiss with Caitlin Snow.
He might be a scientist like her… but after meeting Caitlin, he'd definitely believe she's magic personified.
A kiss with her… just seeing her face… It was like the whole world stared at them in shock.
As those six returned to their home worlds, entering through both breaches and portals alike, the speedster gave a longing look.

(West Household)
"FLASH & VENOM DEFEATS ZOOM" They read the news headline on the television in Joe's house. The entire city saw the rift that opened over their skies. Apparently, according to Joe and the police department, most citizens of Central City feared that that hole was another Singularity forming over their heads. But thankfully they didn't have anything to fear… As the news headline stated, Flash and Venom defeats Zoom, the mastermind behind the rift in the skies.
Everyone is spread around in the West household's living room. Joe sat in a recliner. Iris is sitting in a smaller chair in front of the table. Wally and Cisco joked and laughed, conversing with one another. Barry watched them from afar, leaning against a pillar by himself. Seth and Caitlin are sitting by the dinner table.
The two of them turned their eyes to the couch, where their three daughters are sleeping soundly and lightly snoring even. They couldn't help but smile at the sight of their heads leaning against each other's as they slept. Both parents knew their daughters have been working hard and have been under a lot of pressure, especially after fighting Zoom's army and Zoom himself.
They deserved a good night's rest after so much hard work… And they definitely deserved a great vacation too.
"Gonna see if I can find a blanket to put over them, just so they don't get cold." Seth declared as he got up from his chair.
Caitlin nodded. "Okay." She pulled out her phone. "I'm gonna take a few photos of them like that, might make a good scrapbook one day." She cheekily stated recalling how the mutant would make scrapbooks back on Earth-616.
Seth formed a pout. "Little minx."
Rolling her eyes, Caitlin leant forward and gently bit his lip. He leant forward to meet her lips, but she pulled away before he could get the chance. With a triumphant and teasing smirk, she walked over to take a photo of her daughters.
"Cait… You drive me crazy." Seth let out before walking away to get a blanket for his daughters. Along the way, he stopped to face Barry. "Bar? You okay?" He knew it's a ridiculous thing to ask someone who's mourning a loss. When someone asked him that when he lost Bucky and Stef, he'd give them a murderous glare and they'd practically run away to escape him.
"I'm fine, Seth. Don't worry." Barry inhaled deeply. "I'm… I'm just gonna get some air, is all." He walked past the elemental and out of the house and into the open air.
"Alright…" Seth told him, but he did send a look to the reporter who nodded. As he walked up the stairs, Iris got up and walked after Barry.

Just like last night, Iris exited her house and found Barry seated on the porch staircase. He gave her a brief look of acknowledgement before turning back to face the darkened streets in front of him.
Iris didn't say anything, instead she took a seat beside the speedster.
In sadness he confessed. "Can't stop thinking about my dad's doppelganger. Seeing him, knowing that he's out there, that should've made it easier." He shook his head. "It doesn't. It just made me miss him even more."
She listened to all of his pain and his hurt. For a moment Iris struggled to find the right words to tell him. What she did manage to say was. "I can't even imagine how hard that must have been."
Barry sighed. "We just won… We just beat Zoom. Why does it feel like I just lost?"
Once again Iris was unable to find the right words to comfort him. "Because you've lost a lot in your life, Barry, more than most." She leant forward. "But…" Barry faced her. "Maybe you and me seeing where this thing goes, maybe that can give you something for a change."
Barry gave a wide smile. "That's all I've ever wanted to hear you say…." Iris smiled. "And I wish that I was in a place where I could try that with you. But I feel so hollowed out inside right now. I feel more broken than I've ever felt in my life." Inwardly, the speedster couldn't even imagine the pieces being assembled again. "If I'm ever gonna be worth anything to you, I need to fix what's wrong with me. I need to find some… Some peace." He confessed.
She understood that. "Barry, listen to me. You waited for me for years. You let me get to a place where this was possible. So, I am telling you I am gonna do the same thing for you." Iris spoke from the heart. "Wherever you need to go, whatever you need to do, do it." Barry couldn't help but smile at the love she put into every word. "And when you get back, I'll be here."
"Okay." He smiled even wider.
"I love you, Barry." Iris confessed.
He couldn't stop him… No.
He wouldn't stop himself from leaning forward and kissing Iris on her lips. A brief kiss like this felt like blissful eternity between the two.
Pulling back from her, Barry replied wholeheartedly. "I love you too. And I always will."
Iris smiled back widely. She returned to her full height and walked back into her home. As soon as the door closed, Barry stood up and walked closer to the door. He looked through the small window in the door, seeing everyone in the living room. Momentarily, he noticed that Seth hadn't returned from upstairs.
He gave them a longing look.
"That's why I'm so sorry." Barry told them with teary eyes. "But I have to do this."
WHOOSH
Things would change… for better or worse…. Only time will tell.

Caitlin held back a chuckle as she took her thousandth photo of her daughters sleeping. She made sure to disable her flash so they wouldn't wake up and complain about having a photo taken whilst asleep. Chances are they'd take her phone from her and either delete photos or destroy her cellular device itself.
"How'd it go with the photos?" Seth asked as he returned from upstairs, holding a big blanket.
As the parents unfolded the blanket and placed it over their daughters' sleeping forms, Caitlin answered in a whisper. "We probably got enough for ten scrapbooks."
"Don't tempt me like that, Cait." Seth mocked a stern voice. "I'll go ballistic and fill our drawers with scrapbooks." Caitlin chuckled under her breath.
The two walked over to the dinner table again, each taking a seat at the table. Caitlin gave her daughters a longing look. Following the direction of her eyes, Seth inquired. "What's up, Cait? Don't tell me the girls are sick or something?"
"No, they're not, I promise." Caitlin cupped his hand. With a loving look, she said. "Before I met you and Frankie… I honestly didn't see myself as a parent before."
"Really? Ever since you and I got back together, it's like you were born to be a parent. You're absolutely the best with Frankie and even more so when we adopted Evie and Rubs." Gulping audibly, Seth asked in fear. "Do you regret having-"
"No, God no, I don't." Caitlin assured her worrying mate. "Just funny how our relationship involved parenthood is all."
"Yeah, I know… But it means that we're ready for it… That we know that we can provide a home for kids who never had a home before." Seth said with a look to their daughters. "We're pretty good at being parents, aren't we?"
"Yeah, we are, except for the fact that we willingly and knowingly let our daughters fight criminals in their free time." Caitlin added with a mock frown.
"Oh yeah, that's wrong." The mutant hung his head in agreement.
But his words stuck with Caitlin. They're really good parents and they've proven that with their daughters multiple times…. One more wouldn't change that… It'd just make them better parents.
"Seth… About what I wanted to tell you before…" Caitlin tried to jog his memory.
"Yeah?" Seth nodded.
"Do you think it'd be good if our family grew bigger?" Caitlin asked nervously while biting her lower lip.
"I mean it is with Matt and Liv having kids now." Seth chuckled.
This was going the wrong direction… so Caitlin took the direction approach instead.
"Seth…" Caitlin smiled widely. "I'm-"
WHOOSH
…
…
But fate had other plans in store for them, as a familiar but more ominous presence revealed itself… appearing after a gust of air hitting them… and the crackling sound of lightning…. Along with a strange savage-like growl.
Seth and Caitlin and the others snapped their eyes to the living room, standing in front of the TV… was…
Hunter Zolomon...?
But his form was nothing like his human form. His form was akin to that of a zombie-like monster, an undead state that was similar to that of the Time Wraiths that took him away. His suit is still black but more… darker. And the emblems on his earpieces are changed from black to red, the outlines and the lightning bolt are also transformed from black to red, except for the inner part of the logo which is filled with white. His clawed gloves… now actual pitch-black claws.
He growled and howled like a hurt animal without any sanity.
His roar woke up the three daughters on the couch.
"What?" Seth asked himself in confusion, sweat pouring down his face like a waterfall. This was supposed to be over. Hunter Zolomon was supposed to be dragged into the Speed Force by now, the very element of the multiverse that he defied when he made the Velocity speed drug.
This horrible chapter of pain and suffering… This battle was supposed to be over!
"What are you here?!" Seth shouted; his voice akin to a roar from his alter-ego's form. He stood in front of Caitlin protectively.
The savage speedster snapped his head to him, and growled his response.
"We had a deal!" The mutant bellowed, shocking Joe to stand in front of both of his children protectively. The detective regretted leaving his gun upstairs. Cisco raised his hand and covered it with bluish dimensional energy, readying a vibe blast.
The three girls got up from the couch….
But the undead speedster faced… Ruby.
WHOOSH
In a flash of red lightning the undead speedster took her away.
"Ruby!" Caitlin shouted.
"Where is she?" Joe snapped his eyes around in search.
"What's going on?!" Seth shouted with anger brimming inside of him, black smoke emanating from his mouth.
Evelyn faced her parents with fear in her eyes. "Dad, Mo-"
WHOOSH
She was cut off when the speedster took her away next.
"Evie!" Frankie shouted, her form enveloping by the symbiote. "Where are you?!"
Seth yanked his sword out of his form and held it tightly. "Where are you?!" He called out to the speedster.
But a distant growl got their attention.
Caitlin snapped her eyes to Frankie. "Frankie get over he-"
WHOOSH
The undead speedster took Frankie away next. "Frankie!" Seth shouted.
"Seth, what's going on?!" Caitlin shouted to her mate, tears rolling down her face like rain.
The undead speedster returned to the living room, locking eyes with the elemental who brimmed with anger and rage and pain. "I'm gonna tear you limb from limb!" Now he couldn't be a hero, he had to be an executioner!
This fucking monster took his children!
"END HIM!" Venom shouted to his host. Both host and "other" regretted ever trusting the Speed Force. If they had just gone with their instincts before, they'd have finally ended this monster once and for all.
But because they chose to trust this foreign element, they lost their children….
Leaping off the ground, which cracked the very floor from the tremendous force he poured into his legs, he swung his sword for the undead speedster. He made all of his elements and his symbiotic mass cover his entire form and attacked him…
… If only that would have helped the elemental…
WHOOSH
But Hunter Zolomon… or what was left of him… repeated what he did with his daughters… and kidnapped Seth.
And in a flash, Caitlin lost her entire family… aside from the child birthing inside of her. But that did not stop her from trying to call out to her with all of her might, screaming out his name at the top of her lungs.
"SETH?!"

(Allen Residence… 16 years ago)
Sixteen years ago, the Allen residence was turned into the murder scene of one Nora Allen, wife to Henry Allen, the alleged killer, and mother to Barry Allen, the real target of the crime.
But it all changes now… for good.
A flash of lightning appeared on the streets outside of the Allen residence and Barry Allen, The Flash slid to a stop in front of his old home. After losing his father, he… He can't handle the pain and wants to erase it…
By any means necessary.
Through the window, he could see the flashing yellow and red lightning clashing with one another. But only for a brief second. He then saw a flash of yellow lightning speed out of the house. He knew that was the Flash of the far future who took his younger self away and out of harm's way.
He found his opening…
Barry Allen knew that at this very second… The Reverse-Flash would be standing in front of his mother with a knife in hand, ready to pierce her heart and kill her, and Nora would be screaming at the top of her lungs to get him to stop.
He made his move. The Flash sped into the house, tackling the Reverse-Flash before he could stab her with the kitchen knife. They both slid across the floor and into a door. Nora Allen watched as the red speedster began punching the surprise vibrating yellow speedster.
The Flash forced the evil speedster back up to his feet and slammed him into a wall. He punched the side of his face, making Eobard Thawne groan distortedly. Barry slammed him back into the wall and he sneered. "You're not gonna kill her this time. You're not gonna kill her ever again."
With one final blow, Barry knocked Eobard Thawne out. His body stopped vibrating and he fell to the floor.
Barry turned around and… met his own face that was here last year, his one-year-younger self. His past self smiled and chuckled happily at the sight of his mother being saved by himself…
But The Flash watched his younger self fade away as his timeline… was being erased completely.
Shocked by that, the Scarlet Speedster turned to face his sobbing mother. "No." she tried to crawl away.
"I'm not gonna hurt you." He assured her. "I'm not gonna hurt you." Barry repeated, crouching down before his mother. "Okay? I'm not gonna hurt you. You're safe. You're safe now."
Nora Allen would be safe, yes… But the same could not be said for the world… as her salvation would throw the entire world, the entire timeline into…
… Mayhem…
To be continued… In Season 3!
Wowzah!
That's a wrap, peeps!
There's gonna be a new story, a season 3 of Enter The Demon, a continuation of Chaos on Earth-2… But like it did with these two, it's gonna get a different title when published. When it's gonna be called… is a secret…
Yeah, I'm a sick author, ladies and gentlemen.
Muahahahahaha! (He laughs like a maniac)
Henry Allen is dead… Barry acts in blind rage and tries to attack and kill Zoom, but ends up fighting his time remnant instead, which is killed by the original Hunter Zolomon who Seth fought against.
Without him knowing, Seth found later from his "other" that the crystal marble inside of them shone when fighting Zoom. Caitlin struggled to find the appropriate moment to reveal to her mate and to their daughters that she's bearing their newest family member. Out of respect, she keeps it hidden.
Along with Matt, Olivia, the Wells' and the Wests, they attend Henry Allen's funeral, where Barry swears to avenge his late father. Following his reception where they mourn the loss of a great man, the team also discuss what's happening with Cisco's vibes where he witnesses Earth-2's demise.
Seth bonds with his family, hoping that his daughter Evelyn doesn't feel burdened by the news of her old world is now on a timeclock. But she assured him she's fine as that world loathes her and she's in a world that loves now. Her mother and sisters agreed with that statement, showering her with love and care.
Barry saw their familial bonds and walked out of the house, taking a seat outside on the porch. Iris joins him a few minutes later. They talk together and he confesses about his time in the Speed Force. Their talk is cut short when Zoom appears. He challenges the Scarlet Speedster to a race, threatening to kill everyone that Barry and Seth loves if he refuses.
As Barry states the race he agreed to, Harry and Matt tell the team that Hunter is in possession of a Magnetar that will destroy the universes in the multiverse except Earth-1, with the right power source, the lightning that speedsters exude when running.
Barry accepts the terms and is gonna run the race, even though everyone knows that he's acting irrationally and acting with a vendetta. Joe tries to talk him out of it, but he refuses to back out and the team locks him in Pipeline.
The rest of the team, despite Barry thinking they're making a mistake by letting him stay in a cell, make a pact to stick with the plan, no matter what, if anything goes wrong, they stick with it. They initiate their plan.
Using Caitlin, they lure Zoom out of the industrial park on Leawood. They commence an onslaught of attacks, led by Venom and Iron Knight. For long distance support, Eclipse, Destroyer and Magenta attacks with their individual powers. When assured Zoom's weakened enough, Cisco opens a breach, Harry shoots with his rifle and Joe's gonna tranq him.
But his firearm gets jammed, and he takes a direct approach and stabs the evil metahuman with the tranq darts. Harry shoots him a final time, shooting him into the breach but drags the detective with him.
Wally learns of this and is none too happy. He feared he's gonna lose another parent. Meanwhile on Earth-2, Hunter gives Joe a little story and reveals that his prisoner in the iron mask is the real Jay Garrick from another Earth.
Seth converses with Caitlin, sharing a kiss. But their moment is interrupted because Barry speeds into the Cortex, freed by Wally West. Throwing a tantrum, Barry exploded in the team's faces. Seth put an end to it as he took out his sword.
After everything is said, Seth finally agrees with the speedster, both of them joining together to fight against Zoom. They agree to Zoom's race and they begin it in front of the huge metal loop that's gonna serve as a racetrack. Venom stays back, waiting for the Scarlet Speedster to get Zoom off the tracks.
He gets that chance when Barry makes a time remnant and they separate, one saving Joe and taking care of the Magnetar, whilst the real Flash fights Zoom with Venom. The time remnant sacrifices himself to destroy the Magnetar and closes the rift by creating his own pulse.
Continuing their attack on the evil speedster, Barry and Seth weakened him greatly and had him dead to rights. Barry lets the mutant take care of the rest, where he shatters his crystal and summons four Time Wraiths to finally capture and drag Hunter Zolomon into the Speed Force for his punishment.
After this, they rescue the masked prisoner on Earth-2 and bring him to Earth-1 to rid him of his mask. As Matt, Cisco and Harrison tried to remove his mask, Barry explained the science behind the creation of his Time Remnant. Seth also explained his deal with the Speed Force.
In exchange for the multiversal element taking his powers to discharge elements, Seth gets the power to destroy breaches freely and willingly with his black flames via his sword and also the location of a breach back home. The team learnt that his deal happened because the Speed Force wanted assurance that Hunter Zolomon wouldn't escape their grasp like he's done in the past.
Like a boulder, the masked prisoner, Jay Garrick, revealed his face to be the same as Henry Allen. Jay Garrick is his Earth-3 doppelganger. Harrison reveals he and his daughter, Jesse will return to Earth-2, where they're gonna help Jay Garrick return to Earth-3.
As that happened… Olivia, Matt and Felicia announced they're gonna return to Earth-616 to take care of their twins. The part about Olivia's pregnancy, much to everyone's shock, didn't surprise Seth at all. He knew it all along.
And so, they returned to Earth-616.
Everyone reveled in their victory at Joe's house. But Barry, still feeling broken and defeated, travels back in time and stops Eobard Thawne from killing his mother, Nora Allen.
Before that happens… Just as Caitlin is about to tell Seth about her pregnancy…
Black Flash appeared, taking away Ruby, Evelyn and Frankie… and finally taking Seth away…
Leaving Caitlin to scream at the top of her lungs, calling out to the man she loves… the father of her unborn child.
Oh yeah, it's gonna be a lot more darker than the TV show… much darker…
Now I won't begin writing right away, for one reason:
I'm gonna take a little break from writing, probably gonna be less than a week or so, knowing me. But I am gonna continue Season 3, just needs to recharge the old thinking cap.
So…
The question begs now…
What awaits this new timeline that Barry has forged…?
What happened to Seth and his daughters…?
Why did Black Flash appear and take them…?
Did Seth not fulfill his deal with The Speed Force…?
When are they gonna come back…?
Are they gonna come back…?
Stay tuned and until next season and find out.
Until next time, peeps!
