A/N: Hi, friends! So, given what happened last week, I'm just going to get this out of the way now. THE FOLLOWING CHAPTER OF THE SWEET TASTE OF SILVER CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT. That's right, friends. This week's getting kind of spicy. Now, I have food burning on the stove and a family to hold together. Pray for me.
And a couple weeks ago, we had a guest reviewer named HaimereJ. Don't think I was leaving you hang, honey. I was rushed to get last week's out. And I'm just as hard pressed this week. I'm not abandoning this story. Don't you worry. We'll be here for a while yet. *chu* Love you! x
After a day (or what felt like two days rolled into one) of wandering the streets of London, Light finally started getting a feel for the city. And L reconnected with the city he loved. Or at least mildly tolerated to the point where he could call it home. At the end of the day, it didn't matter where he was. L knew where home was. He had Light. And Light had L. Neither could complain. Despite what tomorrow could possibly bring, what hell could possibly rain down on them, L had the strangest gut feeling that everything would be ok.
I have him. He has me. That's all that matters. Seeing Near for the first time in a few months is going to be…Interesting. If we even cross paths. I need to go about his graduation delicately. L looked over at the man on his right, taking in the sunset over the Thames. I need to be very careful with you, Light. I don't want you running off on me. I'm impressed you made it this far. And I couldn't be happier. I just hope nothing ruins us while we're here.
"L?" Light glanced over at him, "Are you ok? Something on your mind?"
"I got tomorrow on the brain," L sighed out, "You still love me, right, Light?"
"I don't see why I shouldn't," Light slipped his hand into L's, "Why?"
"No matter what happens tomorrow," L started shaking, "I want you to make me a promise you won't leave."
"What?" Light wondered, "Like…Back to Japan?"
"Like…Altogether," L begged, "Please, Light. I haven't had the best of what life has to offer, but…I don't know."
"No," Light wasn't taking that, "L, what is it?"
"It's nothing," L shook it off, "It's just…I finally have something good, you know?"
"I know," Light moved a little closer to him, just to give him a little reassurance he was there, "And you know what? So do I."
"No matter what happens?"
"No matter what happens," Light promised, stealing a quick kiss, "Don't worry. We'll be alright. Even if you see Near. I know you know where home is. I don't think I have to question that."
"Thank you, Light," L let out a heavy sigh of relief. Seriously. How in the fuck did I get lucky and end up with you?
"Hey," Light got an idea. One with bright lights a couple blocks in front of him. Since he was so nice to do it for me, I might as well return the favor. It'd be selfish if I didn't, "Didn't you say something about us going on the London Eye tonight? It might be just what you need to get out of your head for a while."
"You know," L thought it over, "That doesn't sound like a half bad idea. I hate that you know me so well."
"I hate that you think that's a bad thing," Light teased him, "I'll race you."
"That requires running, Light," L shot him down, "No, thank you."
"What?" Light started walking a little faster, "Afraid you'd lose?"
"No," L kept up Light's pace, "It's that I've had a long day. I'm jetlagged. I'm not running."
"Fine," Light walked even faster, "Then, why are you walking so fast?"
"Why are you walking so fast?" L argued, "I thought I said we weren't racing."
"Fine," Light pushed him a little more.
"Light…"
Light's footsteps got even faster, "What?"
"You're awful."
"I love you, too," Light couldn't keep the smile off his face. Then, in another blink, he took off.
"Dammit, Light," L grumbled to himself, immediately chasing after him, a mixture of annoyed and excited. But L's annoyance fell through quickly. Especially since he got to run behind him. And you thought I was going to get all angry because that meant running behind you. Although, when L finally caught up with Light, one of his lungs may or may not be on the verge of collapsing. Maybe running wasn't a good idea.
"Are you ok?" Light giggled a bit, "You look like you're about to pass out."
"I could," L did his best to catch his breath, "You have to think, Light…You're a little younger than I am."
"Are you really going to use age against me?" Light wondered.
"I'm nine years older than you, Light," L pulled himself together, "Yes. I'm going to use age against you."
"I didn't think you were that much older than me," Light looked at him strange, "Really?"
"Yeah…Really."
"I'm sorry," Light held L up a little better, "If it makes you feel any better, we got here quicker than what we would walking."
"At what cost?" L leaned against him.
"I promise it'll be worth it," Light smiled, his plan safely tucked away in his thoughts. At least I think it will be.
"It better be," L gave the attendant some money and the two of them got onto the London Eye. Finally…Somewhere to sit down. As the ride started taking them up, Light moved a little closer to L. His head laid on L's shoulder, content and quiet. Isn't someone all cuddly tonight? Not that L was going to complain, "I know it's not Odaiba, but I promise Odaiba pales in comparison."
"Really?" Light couldn't wipe the smile off his face, "I bet I can think of something that would make this a little like Odaiba."
"You're cute, Light," L kissed his forehead, "But you decided to challenge me to a footrace, even when I told you no. Don't think that shit's getting rewarded."
"But…" In the last few months Light has worked for (and dated) L, he's learned quickly how to make just the right moves for just the right result. He knows exactly how to work him. Light learned his patterns, his ticks, and what little things can set him off in the best way. And there was nothing L fell for more than Light batting his eyelashes at him, "I didn't say I was looking for me."
"Oh," L took a second before what Light said fully processed. And his heart stopped. Possibly from Light's offer. Possibly from the overexertion. The world may never know, "Excuse me?"
"You were so good to do it for me," Light's voice softened, "I was thinking…Maybe I could return the favor…Just this once."
"You're…" L had a hard time computing exactly what Light wanted. Is…He offering me Odaiba? And on the London Eye? Oh, Light, you do love me. And you are truly a unicorn, aren't you? Well…I mean, "You're wanting to blow me on the London Eye?"
"Maybe," Light thought, "This could be our gas station dumpster."
"Light," L winced, "I love you. And if you're going to do this, the last thing I want to be thinking about is Mello. It ranks right up there with thinking about your dead grandma during sex."
"Alright," Light promised, "No more Mello. It's just you and me up here. And all those people down there that could look up and see us at any moment."
"Oh, yeah?" L shuddered a bit in excitement, "What else?"
"We might get to the other side," Light purred, moving lower, "And so many people could see what we're doing up here."
"Really?" L felt himself pressed against his zipper, "And you're ok with that?"
"I don't know," Light teased him some more, "I might be. I might not be."
"Light," L bit the inside of his cheek, "If you're not going to do this, it's not nice to tease me. In fact, it downright pisses me off."
"Alright then," Light gave L one last kiss, getting in his ear, "Don't worry. You can let me take care of you sometimes, too, can't you?"
"Yes…" L took on a little more authoritative tone, "Now, get on your knees, you little slut, and suck my dick."
"With pleasure," Light freed L from the confines of his jeans and slowly put him in his mouth. His tongue ran around the tip, but L had other plans, gently pushing Light's head down just a little.
"If you're going to do this," L growled, "Do this right. Don't fuck around with the foreplay, Light."
Light did as he was asked, going a little further than L pushed him. A little smile graced Light's face as he felt L get harder in his mouth. Inch by inch, Light indulged L's senses, putting him into a place of bliss. Fuck, I did not expect you to suck dick like this. Someone taught you well, Light. And to whoever that was, I need to send them a fruit basket, too. But then, the worst part happened. The descent on the ride. He's lucky I'm not close yet.
Quickly, L tapped Light on his shoulder, "Not that I don't appreciate your enthusiasm, Light, but we don't need to be arrested tonight for public indecency."
With a satisfying pop, Light pulled L out of his mouth, "You take an eternity to get off, don't you?"
"What?" L smirked, covering his exposed dick with his jacket, "You expected me to come so quick? Don't get me wrong, Light. You're good, but no one is that good."
"Excuse me, sir," the attendant looked down at Light still on the floor, "We're going to need this car."
"We're staying," L gave him more money.
"Could I ask what you're doing on the floor, sir?" the attendant wondered.
"I fell off," Light lied casually through his teeth, "The car rocked a little too much on the way down and I haven't gotten up yet."
"Are you alright then?"
"Fine," Light brushed him off, "I'll be ok."
"Right," he nodded, putting L's money into his pocket, "Another go?"
"Yes, please," L confirmed, closing their car door. Slowly, they started moving again. And Light started getting up. Only to be held down by the bottom of L's foot, "Where do you think you're going?"
"I was going back to our seat," Light explained, "At least until…"
"I never told you to get back up," L demanded, moving his jacket just a bit, "You stay down there. You're not done yet. If I'm not done by the time we get to the top, Light, I'll be pissed. And I promise you don't want that."
"Ok," Light felt the best chills run through his body. Something in L's voice made him only want to try twice as hard to get him off. He put his face back in L's lap and got to work. He said skip the foreplay, right?
And skip it, he did. Light started sucking hard, L's dick halfway down his throat already. L grabbed a handful of the back of Light's jacket, "Easy, Light. Again…Your enthusiasm is appreciated, but you may need to back off a little."
Light softened up just a little. L did tell him by the top of the ride. Light started going faster and faster, deeper and deeper, nearly hitting his gag reflex. He did his best to relax his throat, the little moans from L being all the reward he needed. Gently, Light ran his hand up L's dick, softly stroking the sides.
"Fuck, Light…" L groaned, "You're doing so good for me."
Light kept going, this time a bit harder.
And faster.
And harder.
"Light…" L swooned, "Light…Easy. A little slower."
But Light wasn't going to listen. Light only went faster and harder and harder and faster. L could feel it in the pit of his stomach. It only got more and more intense as Light went on. He could feel the back of Light's throat already. Light sucked more and more and faster. And L's orgasm grew stronger as he moaned out Light's name over and over and over again, "Light…Settle down…"
Light still wasn't having it. He had L right where he wanted him. He could feel it. L was close. Light already felt L's precum running down his throat. It wouldn't take much more. And Light nearly got off on it, but then, all at once, L let out a noise that could be heard across the English Channel. And in his own, special way, Light was proud of himself. I did that. See? And you say it's your job to take care of me. That doesn't mean I can't take care of you, too. Just before Light got up, he swallowed hard once and watched as L struggled to catch his breath. This time, not because of a casual footrace.
"Well?" Light curled up into L's side as they started their descent on the other side. Yep. Right at the top, "Did I do good?"
"You did…" L wrapped an arm around Light, "You did very good, Light…I love you."
"It was only fair," Light shrugged, "You did it for me in Japan. I might as well do it for you in England. Surprise."
"We need to keep the surprises from you to a minimum…" L panted, kissing the top of Light's head, "Not that it wasn't appreciated, Light, but surprises are my thing, not yours."
"So," Light decided to play cheeky, "Next time I decide to blow you on the London Eye, we should plan in advance?"
"What made you decide to jump into exhibitionism tonight?" L wondered. Bratty little shit, aren't you, Light?
"I don't know," Light shut his eyes for a brief moment or two, "Maybe we just have a thing about ferris wheels."
"I didn't have you pegged for having a heights kink," L thought, "Maybe we could try suspension some other time."
"Not tonight, though," Light requested, "I'm a little tired."
"And it's going to take me a minute to recover from what you just did," L ran his fingers down Light's back, "Come on. It's getting late. We should go home and get some sleep."
"Ok," Light wasn't going to argue with him. They were both exhausted. Between the transcontinental flight and Light's sudden foray into exhibitionism, both L and Light could use the sleep. Mostly L, though.
Once they got off the London Eye, L and Light went back to L's house and straight into bed. It wouldn't take either one of them very long before they fell asleep. But they didn't care. They had each other. And L was sufficiently drained. Although, despite what he thought, L still couldn't fall asleep on his own. As much as Light helped, he could be a terrible detriment all the same. L couldn't take his eyes off him.
I know that took a lot out of you, Light. It sure as hell took a lot out of me, too, but I appreciate you indulging me once in a while. Exhibitionism isn't your thing. And I know it's not your thing. But if you're alright with it, then who am I to tell you no? Go on…Get your rest. We're going to need it in the morning. Tomorrow may not be pretty, but…L wasn't going to allow it. He wouldn't allow Near to ruin his night. Not after it had gone so wonderfully. He stared down at his sleeping angel at his side. But fuck, you're beautiful…
The next morning, L opened his eyes and noticed Light still sleeping. He hasn't moved. Good. Do forgive me for this, Light, but hopefully, it won't be so bad. Gently, L kissed his forehead, "Wake up, Light…"
"Mmm…" Light rolled over.
"Light…"
"Mmm…!" Light whined.
I see we need to take drastic measures. L growled in Light's ear, "Light…Are you being a little brat on me this morning?"
"I'm jetlagged and tired," Light grumbled into his pillow, "Cut me some slack."
"Alright," L's hand moved a little lower down Light's back. And lower…And lower…
SMACK!
God, that never gets old.
"Ow…" If Light wasn't going to wake up before, he definitely was now.
"I'm not putting up with the little brat today," L demanded, "We have places to be."
"Fine…" I wasn't expecting the smack to the ass so early.
"Was I too rough on you?" L worried, his hand still a bit tingly.
"Just a little," Light recovered quickly, "Nothing I couldn't handle."
"Good," L got a much more proper good morning out of Light, "Now, go on. I told you we had places to be."
"I know," Light got out of bed and checked his phone. His new, shiny phone without a single crack courtesy of L in sleepy, quiet rage. Nothing. Good, "Are you going to be ok today, L?"
"What do you mean?" Damn your perceptions, Light…
"It's Near's graduation today," Light pointed out, grabbing some clothes out of his bag, "Are you going to be ok?"
"I should be," L nodded, "I got you, don't I?"
"Of course," Light smiled, melting L to his core.
"Go on, Light…Don't keep me waiting."
