'Sorry this update has taken so long, I had a death in the immediate family so I've had a battle trying to get back into my writing between dealing with everything else'
"You ready to get this cast of Zah" Doctor Sambridge asked the 8 year old sitting in front of her
"Born ready" Zalie said eagerly, the cast had started to really itch and was making it hard to sleep
"You're still going to struggle walking for a few days" Doctor Sambridge said firmly, letting Zalie know she wasn't going to be able to simply start running around again
"Aunty Laura reckons said I need plenty of time in the pool and some massage to help get my legs moving again" Zalie said, she already had been told multiple times she'd need to be patient while her legs recovered from the cast
"Yeah well she's right, your legs are going to be stiff for a few days, you'll probably have to use some crutches for a few weeks till your legs are strong enough" Doctor Sambridge said
"Don't care, as long as this cast comes of" Zalie said firmly to the doctor, Doctor Sambridge looked over at Alie who had brought Zalie in for the appointment, Alie looked at the doctor as if to say just take the cast of, she'll do the other stuff whether she's happy about it or not
"Yes Zah its coming of" Doctor Sambridge said with a smile as the girl was wheeled into the room to have her plaster prison removed

"So how do you want to tell mummy that your cast is of" Alie asked Zalie who was now sitting in the back of the car driving back from the hospital
"Can we send her a video of me in the pool Nonna, aunty Laura said I could have Meelah and RJ around for a celebrationary swim now its of" Zalie asked excitedly, she'd missed getting to swim in the pool for the last 6 weeks
"Okay, that sounds like fun, do you want pizza's for tea" Alie asked glancing back at her
"Ah ha" Zalie said as she let out a huge yawn
"You look like you need a sleep to" Alie said with a smile, she knew that Zalie had been having trouble sleeping with the cast the last few weeks, she knew it wouldn't take Zalie long to catch up now she was out of it
"And a shower, think I could use mummy and daddy's" Zalie asked sniffing under her armpits, she hadn't been able to take a decent wash with the cast on, her parents ensuite had an actual wet room with a seat from when Jess had been injured, Zalie would be able to sit in there and enjoy a shower on her own and clean herself properly if she used it instead of using the main bathroom
"Yeah I think you could, I reckon you could probably even sleep up there this afternoon, how does that sound" Alie said with a smile, it was cosy but it also had open space to move. Zalie could enjoy the privacy but would still be able to be self sufficient, plenty of space to move the walker she was currently using to help get around
"I think it sounds awesome" Zalie said happily

"Video from home Jess, looks like someone has their cast of" Ray said showing the EOD the video Naima had sent him of the kids playing together
"Isn't it supposed to be another 2 weeks" Trent asked curiously, he'd been trying to keep track mentally of where Zalie was at
"Doctor Sambridge said it depended on how well she healed, it was 6-8 weeks depending on the pictures, she's going to be wrapped its of early" Jess said excited for her daughter
"Already can see that" Clay said glancing over Ray's shoulder so he could watch the video as Jess's phone beeped
"Alie sent some photos as well, looks like the little sprat spent the afternoon lounged in my bed" Jess said trying not to laugh at the sight of Zalie camped right in the middle of her and Luca's massive bed with Cerbs curled up with her
"Briefing in 10" Jason said poking his head in the barracks door to let the team know they were needed

"You lot look happy" Eric said noticing the smile on Bravo's faces as they walked into the TOC
"News from home, Zah's got her cast of early" Jess said updating Eric, on the situation
"She's plaster free and moved into Luca and Bookworm's bedroom" Sonny said with a grin
"She'll be kicked back into her own bedroom once I get home" Jess said with a smile
"Where's Luca, wouldn't he kick her out" Ray asked confused
"Business trip with dad, you seriously think her dad will make her go and sleep back in her room, he spoils her more than my dad does me" Jess said smiling even more
"Well that's saying something, you wanted us sir" Jason said with a laugh
"Its time for the big one" Eric said with a smile on his face
"We're going to pick up Abdullah Al-Asiri" Jess asked inquisitively
"Yep" Eric said
"About bloody time" Jason responded speaking for the whole team, they were tired off waiting and ready for action
