Chapter 46 : Back To Ayumi's Home
When they got to Nishinoomote, Ayumi quickly get to the place where Fubuki is staying. Of course Himeragi was just following her.
Ayumi told her that she will take care of her and because Himeragi was still a bit listless to the current revelations, so she was just going with the flow.
As they got near the entrance to the place, they saw Aqua and the others (along with Fubuki) just standing there and looking at their way.
Ayumi also notices that Fubuki seems to be still sleepy, as seen from her yawning.
When they got near, the others also got to them.
"Your here, I thought your not going to appear." She heard Shion says that.
It was already nearing noon when they got here so it was understandable that she will say that.
"Sorry, I got a bit busy for something in Nakatane." Ayumi said in an apologetic tone.
"So... you really are going to take care of that fairy huh..." She heard Shion muttering that.
Fubuki looks at Ayumi before she glances at Himeragi. Being curious, she got closer to the listless fairy before looking at Ayumi.
Ayumi saw her curious expression so she tried to introduce her.
"This is Himeragi. She is a fairy. I hope the two of you get along at each other." Ayumi said that while feeling a bit embarrassed due to how frank she says it.
"Oh, then..." Fubuki raised her hand in a greeting. "Ohakon!~ I'm Shirakami Fubuki!~" She greeted the listless fairy.
Himeragi, being a bit aware to her surroundings, just took a glance on her way before she looks down on the ground again.
"Oi! That's rude!" Ayumi heard Shion saying that.
"... Ah... sorry, she is still not in the mood to talk. A lot of things happened and she was like this since this morning." Ayumi quickly tried to explain.
"It's fine." Fubuki said to her with a smile.
"Anyway, I think it's time for us to leave now. We will be getting our ferry to Kagoshima." Ayumi said to them, changing the subject.
"Oh, we're also going back to Tokyo." It was Aqua who said that. "Ayumi-san, let's play a game together when we came back. It will be great if all of us are playing together." Aqua added in excitement.
She already see Ayumi as someone she can be friends with. So she took the initiative to invite her on their next session.
Shion and the others are surprised. It was rare for Aqua to take the initiative to talk to strangers.
Ayumi can only smile bitterly at that as she rejected her offer.
"I am sorry. Due to some reason, I can't play with Fubuki when she is streaming." Ayumi said to her with some regret.
She doesn't want to put Fubuki in trouble. She knows she was still hated even when her name as Kotomi was proven innocent (thanks to a certain former Vtuber's confession).
"Well, we can still play together offstream right?" Aqua said casually.
Ayumi was surprised that Aqua was going out of her way to invite her this much. She still thinks she is not that special to play with these amazing girls.
"... If you are fine with me..." Ayumi said with a bit of shyness in her tone.
"Of course it's fine!" Aqua quickly reassured her.
"... Aqua really got the guts to invite her huh..." Shion muttered in surprise.
"Hey, what do you mean by that!?" Aqua said to Shion, hearing her muttering that.
"Well, you are an introvert so I was just surprise you can talk to her normally." Shion casually answered her.
"Hey, I can still talk to others normally!" Aqua tried defending herself with those words.
"Heh... yeah right!" Shion said with a smirk.
"What's with that smirk! I am not that bad right!?" Aqua ask to her other friends, trying to find some allies for her.
"Well..."
"Uhmm..."
"Fufufu..."
"Yes, you are not that bad."
While the other three was just feeling awkward or amused at her predicament, Towa was the only gentle one to give her some reassurance.
"This is your first step to overcome your shyness." But Towa added those words.
This causes Aqua to be shocked.
"First step... so you think this is my first time being able to talk normally to others!?" Aqua asks in shock.
"Uwaaaah! I am sorry, I didn't mean it like that!" Towa quickly tried to explain in a panic.
While that is happening, Ayumi was just looking at the side with a smile. She can see them having fun at each other.
'Can I really become a part of this group?' She thought to herself in doubt.
She felt a bit left out due to how much chemistry these friends have.
'Well, I still have a lot of time. I need to befriend them. Then, I'll invite them to join my group when I felt that they trust me enough.' Ayumi resolves to herself once again.
"Anyway, it's time for us to leave." Ayumi said to Fubuki.
"Okay, see you later!" Fubuki said to Aqua and the others.
"Yes, let's have an online meet after your stream Fubuki!" Aqua replied to them.
After that, they finally split ways and get to the ferry to get to Kagoshima.
While that is happening, in the outskirts of Nishinoomote, there are a lot of people from JSIB who are barricading the destroyed forest in there.
They are trying to restore the most of it while feeding the locals some fake news that some sort of land erosion happened here.
They have also use some hypnotism to a group of reporters so they report this as some sort of natural phenomenon. With some convincing argument about it.
While that is happening, some locals are looking at the distance where the barricade is located.
Along with the locals is a purple haired woman who was looking there with an expression of amusement.
"Welp, what a real mess. It really did a number to this land, and that's just it's weakened form." She muttered to herself. "It changes the topography of this place, turning this forest into a destroyed land." She continued while still having the same amused expression.
She takes a look at her mobile phone before putting it in her pocket and turning her back.
"Well, I have seen enough. I just came here because of an interesting event occuring here. The outcome was a bit too quick for my liking, but it was fine as long as she is alright." The woman said to herself. "I thought she will need a helping hand. It seems like I didn't need to intervene after all." The woman muttered to herself. "Well, at least I manage to finish my article about her. Based on my simulation, this will cause those people to believe Kotomi-chan. It will take a week, but that was fine. That was the shortest time possible based on my simulation using normal means." The woman said to herself.
After that, she continued on her way, leaving the scene in a relaxed manner.
It was evening when they finally got back to Yokohama.
They came back here by taking a taxi.
When they arrived at the house, Fubuki was the first one to get to the door and get inside the house.
Ayumi was also going to follow when she notice Himeragi just standing behind her, looking in her way.
"What is it?" So she asks her.
"... Why are you taking care of me, human?" Himeragi asks that without much of her liveliness in it.
"Well, I think because I just want to?" Ayumi replied what came first to her mind.
She was just pitying the fairy who seems to have no recollection of her life as a human. She predicted that the old guy who talks to her is her father and this one is a human that was somehow reincarnated by Doris.
The two of them became silent for awhile with Himeragi just staring at her with a neutral expression.
It causes Ayumi to feel awkward but she didn't show it. She is still in a hoodie so her expression still can't be seen.
"... Anyway, why don't you get in. There is still a vacant room in my house so I think you use that." Feeling awkward at the silence stare, Ayumi said that to change the topic.
Himeragi looks at her for a moment before she nodded and walks pass her to get inside her house.
Ayumi then followed behind her before she closes the gate, and then the door to her house.
'I really need a new house. If I was going to recruit the girls from Hololive, I need a bigger one than this house.' Ayumi thought to herself. 'I think I have something called Random Structure Tickets. Maybe I can use that?' She thought to herself.
It was one of the rewards that she got after she takes care of Ikuryu Honda. She doesn't know what it can really do but she have an inkling that it will erect some sort of structure for her instantly if she uses it.
She have already use the Random Weapon Tickets that she got on the rewards and she acquired some weapons for it. She thinks the Random Structure Ticket will also do that.
'I wonder how it will work?' Ayumi thought to herself as she got to the living room near her sofa.
She then recalled about Nishida, the government guy who is very respectful of her.
'Maybe I can ask for his help. I think he leaves his contact number to me so I can call him.' Ayumi thought to herself. 'Well, I'll do that sometime. For now, I want to take a rest.' She thought to herself while taking off her hoodie.
She was inside her home so even while feeling a bit shy, she thinks Himeragi will be living here so it's inevitable to hide her face.

I am very sorry for the long delay. I got very busy something irl... but of course you don't care about that so I can only say sorry.
As I said, I will be making short chapters so I can release chapters much faster. I think I will be able to release the next chapter tomorrow or sometime later.
Sorry for this short chapter by the way...
By the way, I noticed a large plothole on the fifth arc. Specifically on Ollie.
I forgot that she have the sword Udin stuck on her head when Ayumi and Fubuki first met her. But it seems like on the later chapters, it was suddenly stated that they left it on Aqua's apartment.
... Yeah, I don't know how to fix that without changing the majority of the events on those chapters.

I also don't know if there are other details that I missed. I'll try to look into it (I am rereading this story because I forgot most of the things that happened here after becoming busy with my life).
