Matthew 12:1 to 14 - The Sabbath, The Passover and The Cross

Welcome brothers and sister to Bible Teachings, for first timers we talk about what the meaning behind the Holy Bible and what God is saying to us. For better clarity seek those of much experience and faith as follower of Christ. I don't proclaim as preacher or teacher, but am speaking for those who want to know the word as followers of Christ. For those who don't have the word and just hearing this now or who have known, yet feel uncertain or scared for yourself and others. This would at least help you start your journey to finding Christ Jesus once again, reborn anew as you continue to seek him and find him as your personal savior and redeemer for all sins. Even to those who are Christian, Believers and saints can become lukewarm, as we need to reignite our fire for God.

Here you can ask questions, reviews as all of us reading aren't going to judge or if you want to talk privately about your problems go to my pin name Colossal the Omega and select PM for Private message. While this isn't updated everyday we dive deeper into the words of the Bible and talk and speak about what God's saying and understand his wisdom. Sometimes many of us can misinterpret the Bible, and there are those who are truly gifted with God's wisdom and understanding what he means. But for those of us starting or are alone, we can pray for God's understand and wisdom what he means. Prayer is the most important connection to God, while many of us can have fellowship with each other and read the Bible on our own. Without prayer we have no guidance as we lean towards our own ways without God. Only our Lord Jesus can help us and show us what we can do and how to live our life. Before starting if there is anything that is incorrect about what is spoken or rebukes from any Christians, Saints and Believers presently reading, I would like you to message me about it and we can talk about anything that needs to change or written any chapters.

Matthew 12, 1-14 and The Sabbath

Matthew 12 starts with Christ Jesus and his disciples are in the grainfield, the disciples are hungry and pick among the grain. However what was happening is they are doing this in the sabbath day. When the Pharisees witness this they told Jesus and his disciples about how unlawful this action is on the day. The Sabbath is the day of resting, it is declared by God it's the day of resting. The day of resting is always been the 7th of Saturday, since we live by the resting day on Sunday in current times you could say we have it in reverse. The 7th day of rest has dated back since the beginning of creation, and is the same for the Sabbath in the same meaning. To fully understand this, the sabbath is one of many holidays that God declare would happen. In them God declares that no one is to work on the sabbath day, meaning that many works we do on the seventh should be day of resting. But when it came to Christ Jesus, he explained what these meant and how sometimes we misinterpret the laws and Jesus explains what they truly mean, many times when the Pharisees and Scribes tell Jesus is wrong, we also should remind ourselves that this can happen to us or anyone we know that can misinterpret God's words if we don't seek his wisdom and fellowship of those who know him.

For the Pharisees that are saying what they have done is unlawful because of the traditions and laws that were pass down since the start of Israel nation. Yet here we also see from Christ Jesus saying in Matthew 12 verses 3-8, Haven't you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry? He entered the House of God, and he and his companions ate the consecrated bread which was not lawful on Sabbath Duty in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are innocent? I tell you that something greater then the temple is here. If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent. For the Son of man is Lord of the Sabbath."

Then in Matthew 12:9-14 we then see Lord Jesus healing a man, but is told by the Pharisees is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?" Jesus then says, If any of you has sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? How much more valuable is a person then sheep! Therefore it is Lawful to do Good on the Sabbath." As Jesus spoke, he's explaining how the Sabbath wasn't intended on just resting, but we are to do good for others as well. I must confess this parts get confusing at times, but when looking deeper their is a greater meaning and understanding what God intended, but sometimes we miss the mark and get something wrong. That's not to say we need to live perfectly, but are to be reminded that in the world we live we must seek for his wisdom and understanding of his words. In this day and age we don't live by the sabbath or other holidays that was once there. Instead we now live after Jesus died on the Cross for our sins and brought salvation to our lives.

The Passover and The Cross

As Easter is heading towards this year of 2021, and we are experiencing the Passover by the time of this chapter. We need to speak about what the Passover is and how the holiday of Easter is truly meant despite what we do today. For the Passover it was the time, where Moses free Israel from Egypt and by God's word we are to celebrate the week. It meaning is much deeper as this Passover is not only showing how God frees them from Egypt, but also the 10th plague of every firstborn will be killed. This brought their freedom as they could now leave Egypt free from their oppressors. Yet at the same time it's the celebration of Jesus dying on the Cross for our sins and predestine damnation.

Folks we should take this sobering moment to realize what has happen and how all of our sins have been forgive from our past to future sins. How these two despite being different meanings are what we fellow brothers and sisters as followers of Christ celebrate not only the Passover, but when Jesus had died in this Passover week. Many times we are confronted with willful sinning, some will say that once you start sinning again, you can't be forgiven. Folks this week and today that is reaching our celebrated Easter and Passover that will reach the end, we need to take this time to truly feel the weight and meaning what Christ Jesus did for us and how we are reborn again in our lives. Yet many times we forget or just believe we can do whatever we want once we ask for forgiveness. Our Lord didn't just die for your sins and so you could willfully do them again and say your good.

The meaning behind it is much more as we have to understand that the price for our sinful actions, our wrong deeds, and how we continue them even when we're Christians, Saints and Believers. We need to realize that these days are sobering reminders how we are given the gift and blessings from God, and how he wants us to live more then a good life on this world and to the next for eternity. When we celebrate the holidays we are reminded about what they mean, how it came to be and how our lives are now different from those before us. With the Passover and Easter coming, take this time to truly remind yourselves why you came to Christ, how you are reborn again and how he has change you from then to now and how your life is bearing witness not for yourself, but for those who can hear and speak of your testimony of what Christ has done.

It's already feels long even though I just started not to long ago, but the weight of being Christian, Saints and Believer is something we much carry our Cross everyday. Not only because Christ died, but because we also died along with him. What this means is when we confess our sins and live as followers of Christ, your not just living this life and slowly changing as Christians, Saints and Believers as you lean close to God, your also bearing the cross as you carry this weight around everyday. Knowing and feeling yourself being spiritually grown and change by God everyday, molding into something more then what your old self was to your newly made self being change by day. When you confess your sins, you also place your sins on the Cross and you died alongside Christ Jesus, surrendering yourself to his rule over your life, and one day see his face in heaven. With these recent events and changes that is happening, the day of rapture might be soon rather it's just around the corner or maybe this months, week, year or whenever. Take this moment and realize what he is doing, and those of you who are interesting in knowing Christ. You can start now and pray to him, seek fellowship from other Christians, Saints and believer that will guide you to Christ and also pray for his Guidance above all else. It may appear as some average holiday, yet when we seek God and follow his ways, we need to consider what he's saying and how we should respond.
