Kate makes quick work of changing the diaper of Reece, having done it many times in the past ten months she's almost perfected her changing techniques. At least they're much better than when they got their daughter five years earlier. Speaking of the girl she really hopes Lily has a good day with her sister and nephew. Lily's been complaining a bit lately about not being able to play the way she wants to with the twins, them being so young, so secretly they'd made plans with Alexis who'd jumped on the train immediately. Alexis' son is four now and so he and Lily played really well together every time they were there.
"'Kay, I'm done," Kate says as she comes back into the living area only to stop and observe the scene in front of her before bursting out laughing.
It looks like Jake is trying to eat her husband's jaw and how he just lies there, on his back, not even trying to fight him off looks ridiculous. Kate let's Reece down from her embrace and the boy immediately crawls to his twin brother to attack their dad together. Reece starts climbing on top of his stomach only to have Rick starting to chuckle at the tickling their son's hands caused while trying to climb.
Kate just stands there, observing her family with a smile on her face and a laugh on her lips. Her boys, all three of them. After a few minutes she goes closer and bends down to her knees.
"Can I join in?" she asks and Jake looks up to her.
"Yea, mama," he says, or at least that's how she makes it out as. She's pretty sure no one other than their immediate family knows how to read their twins yet.
She starts tickling her husband who immediately tries to fight her off without hurting the twins. Unfortunately, for him, the twins start joining their mom in the tickle war and he's soon shouting his surrender in laughter. The twins stop when their mom does and crawl away to the stuffed animals they usually end up playing with.
"You're mean," Rick says with a fake frown and Kate smiles while she's shaking her head at his lie.
"Liar," she says before she leans down and kisses the frown of his lips.
Before she can pull away his hand finds her jaw and pulls her closer to kiss her deeper. As their kiss turns more passionate she suddenly remembers the twins and slows down the kiss. Maybe this is what made Jake attack his jaw, Kate thinks and chuckles against his lips as she pulls away. Yeah, probably.
