Carrie (2013)/The Twilight Zone Crossover Prompt 1
Carrie White runs away from Chamberlain after being tired of her miserable life there. She manages to hide inside the cargo hold of an airplane flying out of Maine. The girl gets about an hour of sleep before having a nightmare about a mysterious creature damaging one of the plane's engines and causing it to crash. After waking up, she decides to go back to sleep, but senses something on the plane's left wing with her powers. It's then Carrie realizes that her nightmare wasn't just a nightmare but a premonition.
The teen then telekinetically opens the cargo door, while also keeping herself from being sucked out along with all the luggage, and then sees the creature, which turns out to be a gremlin, being shot at by a man sticking out from one of the cabin windows. Unfortunately, he misses and the gremlin crawls right up to him and bites his gun in half. Before the monster can kill him, Carrie telekinetically pushes it causing it to slide backwards. The gremlin quickly stops itself from falling off the wing and looks down straight at her while the bewildered man sees her as well.
Before she can attack again, the gremlin crawls down to her in a flash and Carrie jumps back to avoid having her throat slashed by the creature's claws, but she receives two long scratches across her right cheek. The gremlin stands before her menacingly but then looks out the cargo hold to see the plane about to land. The monster looks back at the girl and simply wags its finger at her before jumping out of the plane and Carrie watches as it flies away, disappearing into the night sky. Once the plane is close enough to the ground, the teen uses her powers to float out of the cargo hold and land far off from the runway.
Carrie then walks away to find shelter for the night while feeling the wounds on her face and reflecting on her strange, frightening encounter.
