Chapter 61-Waiting The Fog Out

The Cabin

Billy sat down on a chair as Bellamy and Emma sat on the bed. Lexa leaned against the wall. "I thought you grew up in Polis," Billy says to her. Lexa looks at him.

"I did, for the most part, I spent the first five years of my life here. I trained here, and when they found out I was a nightblood, they took me to Polis. My family liked the quiet, so we lived here," Lexa tells them.

"What happened to them?" Bellamy asks.

"The Mountain took them, and I never saw them again. My mother's name was Lucy, and she was a warrior and a fine one at that. They never got to see me become commander. My father John was a farmer," Lexa says. "The Mountain took my parents away from me,"

"And they'll pay for it," Billy tells her.

"How long have you been commander?" Emma asks.

"Since I was 12," Lexa tells her. "They were taken about a year before I became commander,"

"You may not have your parents. But you got us," Emma says. Lexa smiles and looks at Billy.

"I wonder how you two are related. She is an angel, and you are an asshole," Lexa says.

"Thanks, Lexa," Billy says to her. He looks at Bellamy. "You have anything to say here?"

"Nope. I'm at a good spot with these two. I'll stay where I am," Bellamy says.

"Your sister is better," Billy tells him.

"Sure," Bellamy says.

With Clarke, Raven, and Kane

Kane grabbed the radio. "Octavia, Murphy, do any of you read me?" Kane asks.

"We're closer to the source. It's swallowing short-range now too," Raven says,

"Does anybody read me?" Kane asks. "Damn it,"

"They are okay. They know these woods," Clarke tells him as Raven works with the radio. They hear voices over the radio.

"What is that?" Kane asks.

"I don't know. It sounds like they're jamming every frequency, but this one. You hear that? This one's clear," Raven says.

"That sounds clear to you?" Clarke asks.

"It will be once I crack the encryption," Raven tells them.

"English, Raven. What does that mean?" Clarke asks.

"It means we'll be able to listen in on Mount Weather," Raven tells them with a smile.

With Murphy's group

Murphy, Octavia, Lincoln, Wells, and Ontari shine flashlights around them. They look around and see a bunch of cars.

"Where are we?" Lincoln asks.

"Looks like a garage," Wells says as Lincoln, Octavia, and Ontari pull out their swords.

"More like a tomb," Octavia says.

"We need to find an access door to Mount Weather," Ontari says. The others nod as they start to walk. "Stay together if this is an access door. There could be reapers," Ontari says.

"Here's hoping," Murphy says.

Alpha station

Roy watched the Acid fog and looked over at Jaha, who was standing beside him. "You should go learn their language," Roy tells him as he looks at Claire, who was talking to some of the guards.

"You know it?" Jaha asks.

"Well enough. Claire teaches me when we have time. Yu yudon disappointed bilaik nomfa," Roy says.

"What did you say?" Jaha asks.

"You have disappointed your son," Roy says.

"Tell me something I don't know," Jaha says.

"Bilaik nomfa likes Ontari," Roy says.

"Good for him," Jaha says. "I will go talk to them," Jaha walks away from Roy and towards Anya, who was talking to a group of Skaikru people. Anya looks at the man as he sits down before she starts to talk again. Roy walks over to see his mom with Claire and smiles. He was glad his mother was liking his girlfriend. Outside camp, Atom, and Emori was working with guards and Major Byrne to set up tents for some of the warriors when they got to Alpha station.

"Indra could be helping us," Byrne says.

"I don't even know where she is," Atom tells her.

"She is teaching Jake our language," Emori tells them as he looks at Otan, who was showing a few of the Skaikru how to hold their weapons. "How do you think he is doing?"

"Good. Otan is a strong guy Emori," Byrne says as Gustus comes down to them.

"Do you need help?" Gustus asks.

"We could use it," Atom tells him. Gustus nods as he starts to help Byrne set the tent up.

The cabin

Billy looks at Bellamy and Emma, who was sleeping. He looks at Lexa, who was looking around the cabin. "On my tenth birthday, I came home after school, and my mom and dad were in the house with Kane, Callie, Jake, Abby, Clarke, and Wells. We were all around the same age at the time. Anyway, I watched movies with my family and friends. They were from before the world ended. They were recorded on the Ark. I remember after everybody left that my parents and I watched movies all night and laughed and forgot we were on the Ark. It was one of the few memories I remember with them in it," Billy tells Lexa, who smiles.

"I don't remember much about my parents," Lexa tells him as she sits down beside him. "My mother almost had another child but lost that one. I've always wondered what it is like to have a sibling. You're the closest thing I have to a brother," Lexa tells him.

"I love you too, Lexa," Billy tells Lexa, who smiles and watches the wall with him.

"Do you think Clarke is okay?" Lexa asks.

"Yeah, I think they all are. They know these woods well, Lexa. They will be fine, and we'll find them after the fog clears," Billy tells Lexa, who nods.

The Tent

Raven was working on the radio as the fog continued around them. "What's taking so long?" Kane asks.

"I've almost got it. They're using a type of audio modulation here, like a feedback loop. I just need to pinpoint the origin of the loop, home in on the pure transmission. I just need to find the right," Raven says.

"Check the other side and report back, over," Cage says.

"You did it," Clarke says.

"Checking the western boundary. Stand by. Over. No signs of life, over," The man says.

"Has the veil lifted yet? Over," Cage says.

"Negative, sir," A guard says. "Coverage is still 90 percent, over,"

"Keep searching. If they pop up, hit them again, over and out," Cage says.

"The veil," Kane says. "They're talking about the fog. It's a weapon,"

"Which means they attacked us," Raven says. Clarke moves part of the tent and looks outside.

"Scott," Clarke says.

"Yes, ma'am?" Scott asks.

"Build your bomb," Clarke says. "When that fog lifts, take the tower down. Do you copy?"

"I copy, ma'am," Scott says. Clarke looks at Raven, who was shaking her head.

"What's wrong?" Kane asks.

"We're listening to the enemy. Blow the antenna. We won't be able to do that," Raven says.

"Don't blow it, and we won't make contact with any other Ark survivors. We could use those reinforcements, Raven," Clarke says.

"Tough call. I know what Billy and Lexa would do," Raven says to Clarke, who nods.

Parking garage

They walk through the parking garage until they come across a door. They hear a crash. They go back with their lights shining. They stop by a car and bend down. "Anybody here?" Murphy asks as he looks around. They hear a noise in front of them. They look up and see reapers. "Keep one alive," Murphy says as he looks at the three reapers. Murphy and Wells shoot one each as Lincoln kicks one in the leg. He grabs her by her hair and punches the reaper in the face. Ontari hits it in the back of the head with her weapon. Ontari kicks the reaper in the face, knocking her out. "Cuffs," Murphy says. Wells pulls out the cuffs and puts the reaper's hands behind her back, and handcuffs her hands. Lincoln turns her around and stares at her.

"Lincoln, do you know her?" Octavia asks.

"Yes," Lincoln tells her. "She is an old friend believed to be dead for a long time. What is the closest place to here?"

"The dropship," Murphy says.

"Let's go," Lincoln says as he picks the woman up, and they start to leave.

With Billy, Bellamy, Emma, and Lexa.

They walk through the woods on their way back to Alpha station when they hear footsteps. They pull out their weapons as Raven comes through the woods with the others. "Hey," Billy says to her.

"What are you doing out here?" Kane asks.

"We were hunting. I'm assuming you got hit by the acid fog," Lexa says.

"Yeah," Clarke says.

"Where are the others?" Bellamy asks.

"They'll meet us back at Alpha station with a reaper, hopefully," Raven says.

"Fix the radio problem?" Emma asks.

"No, I found something else. We can now listen to Mount Weather," Raven says.

"You are amazing," Lexa says. Raven nods. "Come on, let's get back," The others nod as they follow the commander.

Thanks for reading. I liked diving into Lexa a little bit more. The next chapter will be more of my own chapter again. We are about halfway through season two of the show. I have my own chapters planned during season two. As always, suggestions, ideas, feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
