*It had been a few days since the Chaotix delivered those boxes to Chris. I was sitting in my room, reading through my scrapbook & listening to my CD on a CD player I had brought from home. Just then, I heard a knock at the door. I opened it & found Cosmo on the other side*
Ayla: Oh hey, Cosmo. What's up?
Cosmo: I was just walking by when I thought I heard you singing. You have a beautiful voice
Ayla: Oh, that wasn't me singing. I was listening to a CD I got from my friends back on Earth.
Cosmo: You mean Chris' world?
Ayla: Yep.
Cosmo: I wonder why the Metarex haven't been to Chris' world yet.
Ayla: Probably because it's in another dimension.
Cosmo: Another dimension?
Ayla: Long story.
Cosmo: What's that book on your desk?
Ayla: My scrapbook. Also a gift from my Earth friends. You wanna see it?
Cosmo: Oh yes! I'd love too. *she came into the room & looked at a few pictures & was amazed* Wow. I didn't know you were in a band.
Ayla: Yeah. We were called the Chaotic Angels.
*Cosmo pointed to one of pictures. It was a picture of me, Tyler, Izzy, & Jake standing on a stage. Holding hands with them raised above our heads*
Cosmo: What's this one.
Ayla: That one was taken at our first official concert.
(Flashback - Earth)
*Me, Tyler, Izzy, & Jake were standing back stage of a gigantic theater in Station Square*
Izzy: Oh man. I'm so nervous.
Jake:*peeking through the curtains* I've never seen such a packed house.
Ayla: Relax. We rehearsed all week. We'll be great.
Mr. President:*off-screen* Good evening everyone. Thank you for your patience. And now, put your hands together for the Chaotic Angels!
Tyler: That's our cue.
*As the curtains opened, the crowd cheered. Jake tapped his drum sticks & the music began*
*Ayla singing*
I sing the body electric

*Cosmo clapped*
Cosmo: What a beautiful song. And you wrote that yourself?
Ayla: Yep.
*Cosmo looked at the scrapbook & pointed at another picture. It was a picture of me, Tyler, Izzy, & Jake all holding skateboards. I was holding my hover board*
Ayla: Now that takes me back. That was my very first time going to the city skate park.
(Flashback - Earth)
Ayla: Wow!
*I was amazed by what I saw. There were teenagers everywhere. Practicing tricks on bikes, skateboards, & rollar blades. On half-pipes, quarter-pipes, spine transfers, handrails, funboxes, vert ramps, pyramids, banked ramps, full pipes, pools, bowls, snake runs, & stairsets*
Tyler: You like it?
Ayla: This place is awesome!
Izzy: I know! It's the best place in the city to practice new tricks. Just as long as you steer clear of -
?:*off-screen* Hey!
Izzy: Vicky Greensdale.
*We all looked to the right & saw a teenage human female (18) with ginger hair & green eyes wearing red helmet, red elbow & knee pads, a blue jean vest over a green crop top, black fingerless gloves, black jeans, & black boots standing in front of a group of elementary school kids. On either side of her were two teenage boys dressed in punk rock style*
Vicky: Who said you babies could come into my skate park?
Ayla:*whispering* "Her" skate park?
Jake:*whispering* She thinks just because she's older than most of us, that automatically makes her the Queen of the Skate Park. And for the past few weeks, she's been in an especially bad mood.
Little Boy: This isn't your park! It belongs to everyone!
*She & her two goons started laughing*
Vicky: Who says? Huh?
*That made me mad. I marched over to them*
Tyler:*whispering* Ayla, don't!
*I ignored him*
Ayla: He's right you know!
*Vicky & her two goons turned to me*
Vicky: Excuse me?
Ayla: You heard me. This skate park doesn't belong to just you. Everyone has the right to come here & skate.
Vicky: Oh yeah. And who let you in anyway? This isn't a zoo.
*The two boys behind her started laughing*
Ayla: The only ones I see who belong in a zoo are you & your two gorillas.
*The bunch of the teenagers watching began laughing*
Goon 1: Why you little - !
*He was about to pounce on me when Vicky stopped him*
Goon 2: Boss, why'd you stop him?
*She ignores him & walked up to me*
Vicky: For a little hedgehog, you sure have a big mouth. Why you put your money where your mouth is & we'll see you really rules this park. *she pointed to the half-pipe* Whoever can pull off the sickest skate trick combo on the half-pipe is the rightful Queen of the Skate Park & our audience will be the judges. Whaddya say?
*I smirked & held out my hand*
Ayla: You're on.
*Vicky looked at me surprised, but shook my hand. We then went to the half-pipe. Vicky went first (she insisted because she's the Queen). After she picked up enough speed, she went up in the air & did a combination of a backside flip, a ollie north, & a plasma spin. As she landed back in the half-pipe, the other skateboarders cheered. She walked right past me as she climbed out*
Vicky: Try and top that, hedgehog.
*My three friends & the kids started to look nervous*
Tyler: Are you really sure you still want to do this, Ayla? There are other skate parks we can go to.
Ayla: No way. When I was little, I used to get picked on all the time. So my brother told me that if you give a bully even an inch, then they'll just walk all over you. So you just have to show that you're not afraid & sooner or later, they'll get the hint & back off. *they all looked at me confused. I sighed* The point is that Vicky is just a bully and if we just let her push everyone around, she's just going to get worse. So, we have to teach her a lesson.
Izzy: How?
Ayla: Like this.
*I walked up to the half-pipe & put my skateboard on the edge. After a few deep breaths, I dived in. After about 5 minutes, I had picked up just enough speed to go sky high. Everyone's eyes had become dinner plates, even Vicky's. I then did a alpha flip, a gazelle flip, a daydream flip, & a gingersnap as a finale. When I landed, everyone was quiet a for a few minutes & then they went crazy. Vicky just stood there with her eyes wide & her mouth hanging open. I skated up to her*
Ayla: So, what do you think of that?
*Vicky didn't say anything. She just grabbed her skateboard & stormed out of the park. Her two goons running behind her*
(Present Time - Blue Typhoon)
Cosmo: Did you ever see Vicky or her friends again after that?
Ayla: No. Shortly after that, I heard her family moved away because of her Dad's job and turns out, her two "friends" were actually her younger twin brothers. She was paying them to act as her entourage.
*Cosmo gave me a sad look*
Cosmo: That's so sad. She didn't have any real friends.
Ayla: I guess that's what happens when you act like a bully.
*Cosmo looked back into the book*
Cosmo: What's this one? *I was standing on a pedestal, holding a gold trophy with a girl riding a surfboard on a wave* What's going on here?
Ayla: That was taken when I won the annual Station Square surfing contest.
Cosmo: Surfing?
Ayla: It's a water sport where you ride a wood board on a wave of water. Trust me, it's loads of fun*
(Flashback - Earth)
*It was a sunny day at Station Square Beach. Everyone in the city was there. The mayor of the city had asked me if I wanted to compete in the contest, and of course I said yes*
Announcer: Our contestants are really throwing it down out there today and the crowd is pumped.
*As my brother, friends (Tails, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Emerl, Vanilla, Knuckles, Vector, Espio, Charmy, Rouge Shadow, Topaz, Chris, Danny, Frances, Helen, Chuck, Ella, Tanaka, Topaz, Nelson, Lindsey, Tyler, Izzy, & Jake) & I walked down the beach (most of us were dressed in our beach wear) I could hear people whispering about us*
Man: Wow! It's them! Sonic and Ayla!
Woman: I wonder what their doing here.
Teenage Boy: I heard a rumour that Ayla is in this contest.
Teenage Girl: Not surprising. I've seen what she can do on her hover board & her moves are off the hook.
*We found a good spot. The beach stuff was laid out & Tanaka had just set up a BBQ, when a shadow fell over me as I was waxing the rainbow surfboard I had bought for today*
?:*off-screen* Well, look what the tide dragged in.
*I looked up & standing in front of me was a human male (17 years old) with pale skin, blond hair, blue eyes, & a muscular build. He wearing red swim trunks & holding a black surfboard with a white skull on it. Tyler, Izzy, & Jake had disgusted looks on their faces*
Tyler: Oh, hello Rodney.
Rodney: Hello losers.
Frances: You know this guy?
Izzy: Guys, meet Rodney O'Connor. The star of our high school football team and it's #1 bully.
Jake: What you want, Rodney?
Rodney: I just came to check out the competition. *he looked at me* Don't you think a little girl like you should be playing with dolls or singing along with boy bands.
Vector: Hey! Back off buddy!
*Shadow gave him a hard glare*
Rodney: Hey, I'm just trying to save her from utter humiliation. Only real men have what it takes to win.
*I snickered & looked up at him with a smirk*
Ayla: So when are these real men supposed to show up?
*I heard people around me giggling. That got Rodney really mad*
Rodney: Why you little - !
Announcer: Next up, Rodney O'Connor!
*Rodney gave me another glare*
Rodney: Try not to get syked out by my awesome moves. *he then looked a Lindsey* Big fan.
*We all glared at him as we made his way into the water*
Lindsey: I don't like that boy.
Tyler: You and most of our school.
*We all watched as he did all sorts of fancy tricks on the water*
Topaz: I have to admit, he's not bad.
Amy: He's okay. But no one can beat Ayla when it comes to this sort of thing.
Announcer: We have a real treat coming up next. Station Square's own Queen of the Waves and local hero, Ayla the Hedgehog!
Chuck: Good luck, Ayla.
Mr. Tanaka: I will be praying for your victory.
Ayla: Thanks guys.
*I passed by Rodney as I made my way into the water*
Rodney: You're gonna need a lot of luck, Hedgehog.
*I paddles my way out far into the water. Just then, I heard my wristwatch ringing (I couldn't bring my cellphone on the water because it wasn't waterproof. so Tails gave me a communication wristwatch). I answered it & saw my brother*
Ayla: Hey Sonic.
Sonic:*off-screen* What do you think? Will she?
*I looked out & smirked as I saw a huge wave coming towards the beach*
Ayla: She will.
Tyler:*off-screen* No way! Are you crazy!? That wave will slam you!
Announcer: Whoa! Ayla the Hedgehog is totally charging that humungo wave!
*I looked back at the beach when I heard a very familiar song being played. The DJ turned up the volume*
Danny: You're the Queen of the Waves!
Chris: Go, Ayla!
She's ready

She's up on her feet

to her own kind of beat

Tearing up the current like the girls got gills
* My brother & all my friends (except Knuckles, Espio & Shadow) were doing the dance to go with the song. Some other people joined in*

*I finished my routine with a backflip. I jumped from my board & landed back on*
Announcer: Whoa! Ayla just pulled off a crazy new trick! And that ends the competition. We will announce the winner in one hour.
*I made my way back to shore & everyone was waiting for me*
Amy: Ayla, that was incredible!
Cream: You really are the Queen of the Waves!
Cheese: Chao-Chao!
Ayla: Thanks guys.
*We all went back to our spot & had lunch*
(An hour later)
Announcer: Listen up dudes and dudettes, our panel of judges have chosen our winners. Third place, Judy March! Second place, Rodney O'Connor!
Rodney:*angry* What!? Second place!?
Announcer: And finally in first place . . . *we all held our breath & crossed our fingers* The Queen of the Waves, Ayla the Hedgehog!
Sonic: BOO-YAH!
Chris: Congratulations, Ayla!
*Everyone gathered around with hugs & congratulations*
Rodney: NO FAIR! THIS CONTEST IS FIXED!
(Present Time - Blue Typhoon)
Cosmo: That's amazing. Do you still have that trophy and surfboard?
Ayla: Yep. They're back home on Mobius.
*Cosmo then pointed at a picture of me, Tyler, Izzy, & Jake. I was holding a gold trophy in the shape of a guitar*
Cosmo: What's this one?
Ayla: Oh, now that takes me back. That was from when our band competed in the high school's annual Battle of the Bands.
(Flashback - Earth)
*Me, Tyler, Izzy, & Jake watched an all boy heavy metal band performing on stage from behind a curtain*
Jake: Wow. They're pretty good.
Ayla: Maybe. But I know we can do better.
That makes you larger than life!
*The audience clapped as the band on stage finished their song*
Announcer: And let's have another round for Dragon Flame. *the audience clapped again* And now, let's see the results from the judges. *the three judges he up two 8s & a 9* Ooh, that'll be tough to beat. And now our final band. Let's hear it for the Chaotic Angels!
*The audience clapped, cheered, & whistled as we came on stage & started the music.
Ayla: Put your hands together everybody!
*As I sang, I saw Sonic & the others in the audience & waved to them*
*Ayla singing*

Announcer: Amazing! And now for the judges results. *the judges held up three 10s* And there you have it! Our winners are the Chaotic Angels!

*Cosmo clapped as the song ended on the radio*
Cosmo: Wonderful! Do you have that trophy too?
Ayla: Nah. I let Tyler, Izzy, & Jake keep that one.
*Just then, Amy's voice came on the intercom*
Amy:*off-screen* Cosmo. Could you come up to the bridge? Tails needs help with something.
Cosmo: Oh. I was hoping to see more of your scrapbook.
Ayla: It's okay. I can show you more another time.
Cosmo: Okay. Bye Ayla!
*She left the room. As I waved her goodbye, I looked at my scrapbook, closed it, & held it close to my chest, shedding a few tears*
