Eastre clapped and cheered the lambs on! "They have been practicing that for months!" She whispered to Bunny.
"Do you all do this every year like the Halloween group and Fool do?" Bunny asked.
Her smile was the only answer she gave to his question.
Bunny shook his head in astonishment, a chance to show off his love for his holiday and he had missed out on it all this time.
"Time for me to spread some Easter traditions. If you'll excuse me."
"Huh? I mean, of course but what traditions are you talking about?"
"Now Bunny you know that there are more traditions than just your egg hunts on Easter, don't you?"
Bunny only stood there as she walked away.
Up on stage, her entourage of rabbits surrounding her feet, Eastre nodded to Kam. A scale of the keyboard introduced her and started her song. (1) "Welcome one and all, as we remember Easter time. I am here to enrich and educate your mind. Prepare to be astounded at the things you'll hear me say. Let me take you on a journey round the world on Easter day!"
As the piano switched to a circus tune a tuba joined in. A fire spirit came up and started a bonfire, controlled thank goodness, as Germany was the first tradition that Eastre spoke of. "Lighting up the Easter sky as they tell the night 'Good by!'"
Rusalka, polish water sprites, came out with huge baskets of food. The pelleted as each dish was described, making Commodore B. Bedbug's mouth water. "Buttered bread with cheese and leg of lamb and tasty stew!"
A Bilbi runs out, large and standing on its hind legs much like Bunny, it holds a hard boiled egg up. "No hear in the Summerback, instead the bilbi brings the loot. His friends call him a bandicoot."
Bunny's mouth hung open in shock! Where did this guy come from? Australia was a favorite of his, that's why he had grown into an Australian accent, now this Bilbi was taking credit for his work?
The warrior Krali Marko, from Bulgaria legend strutted onto the stage. "If you hear a cracking sound. Bagaria is the place you found. They paint their eggs red, then crack them up, the last to break is blessed with luck!"
Things slowed as Eastre spoke of England. That is until a group of gnomes came running by in the middle of a pancake race. "Flip the pancakes as you run, don't fall down you'll spoil the fun!" One of the gnomes fell and everyone gasped. But he jumped back up, replaced his pancake and ran back into the race.
All the Easter traditions now joined Eastre in the ending chores. "All around the world, in many different ways. We celebrate the gift of life on Easter day! In every single place, in every boy and girl, you'll find amazing grace all around the world!"
"I have been cooped up in my warren for too long!" Bunny mumbled.
