Nathaniel managed to make a spell and send the witches and demon flying into walls. Emily started crawling towards a wall to rest against. She sat against it and saw her bag only a few feet away. She made a spell circle and an orange outline surrounded it. Her bag moved over to her and she pulled out her phone.
"Please tell me this'll work." She said.
Nathaniel walked over as Luz was getting up. She was on a knee and had blood coming out of her nose. She looked at him with anger in her eyes.
"You have managed to break my nose twice in less than four months." Luz said.
Luz held her hand out and her staff flew to her hand.
"Still not ready to die, are you?" Nathaniel said.
Luz ran at him and tried to hit him but Nathaniel grabbed her staff. He pulled it away from her and snapped it over his knee. He tossed the broken pieces to the side, causing Violet to get a crack in her wing. Luz moved over to Violet to check on her.
"Violet? Are you... please don't be dead."
Violet got off the stick and rubbed against Luz to let her know that she was fine.
"Good, get out of danger." Luz said.
Violet shot a stream of fire at Nathaniel and ran to a place to hide. Nathaniel put the fire out, but not before a large portion of his hair and face was burnt. He was angry... no, he was above angry, he was pissed. Luz made a spell circle and vines came up from the ground and wrapped around him. He easily burned them and continued to walk towards her.
"No staff, no wand, no father... you have nothing except your pathetic magic." He said.
"Not true, I have something." Luz said, "I have friends."
Before Nathaniel could do anything, he was knocked away from Luz. He landed on the ground and looked at what knocked him down. He saw one very angry vampire with glowing red eyes.
"Force me to drink Griffin Blood again and I'll drain every last drop of blood from your body." Heather growled.
Nathaniel charged and her and she pounced on him. She started to hit him. She was going for a third punch when he grabbed her by the neck. He got up and tossed her aside. Luz and Emily jumped on him and he knocked them off with ease. He ran at Heather and attempted to hit her. She used her speed to dodge it and hit him with a hard punch. He was turned around by the punch's impact only to be hit by the local Demon. Tracey's punch caused him to turn around again and get hit with a hard kick that caused him to get knocked away and slide on his back.
"That's how the dead do it, bitch!" Heather said.
Nathaniel looked at the broken black wood that used to be Luz's staff. The two dead girls started moving towards to him. He stood up and grabbed a piece of Luz's staff. Tracey leaped at him and she attempted to take him down, only for him to hit her in the head with the broken base. Tracey was dazed for a second before getting grabbed by her neck and thrown to the other side of the room. He was hit in the back of the head by Heather and knocked to the ground. She tried to pounce on him but he reacted quick and Heather felt time stop briefly. She was still above the ground, but not because of her own ability. She looked down and saw the only thing keeping her in the air was Luz's broken staff... going through her heart. Nathaniel dropped the stick which resulted in Heather falling to the ground with a loud thud. She closed her eyes and her face showed nothing but pain. Her parents told her that most vampire weaknesses have a minimal effect on her, but a stake to the heart? She doesn't know if she'll survive that. Nathaniel smiled, having taken one out of the fight. Tracey started to get back up and saw
"Heather!"
Tracey ran at him and hit him hard enough to knock him backwards. He got up and fired a spell at her. Her wings covered her and blocked the spell. She sprinted at him and hit him hard across the face, followed by another, and then one devastating punch that sent him flying into the concrete wall and causing it to crack. When he landed, all the air left his body. He got onto a knee and felt something off. He brought a hand up to his nose and touched it. He pulled it away and saw something that made him realize how bad this was. On his hand was... his blood. He sent a spell at the floor and it caused a large piece of wood get stuck in Tracey's head. She pulled it out and he watched in horror as her head easily healed as if it never happened. Tracey put her hands on the ground and used them to give her an extra boost. She slammed into his stomach and put her horns to good use. Just like the ram horns her horns resemble; if she connects with them, you'll be in a lot of pain. He coughed up blood when she connected to his stomach. He looked up for only a few seconds when he lost vision on his right eye. Tracey looked at the blood on her claws and fingers and licked the blood off.
"Now that you don't have an eye, let's see how good you can fight." Tracey said.
A forked tongue came out of her mouth and she smiled, showing her very sharp teeth. However, Nathaniel always has a plan. He tossed some kind of liquid at her and it burned her skin. She screamed in pain and he punched her. She fell on the ground and felt weak.
"I've dealt with a lot of demons in my life. I learned that I should always carry a little purified water with me." He said, grabbing her neck, "I think it's time to end this."
Ignore what I said in the last chapter, this is going to be split into three chapters. So, this is a real question. What color is Boscha's spell circle? I always thought it was yellow, but according to Owl House Wiki on Spell Circles, hers is Violet. Am I color blind or is that just wrong? Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
