Bunny stopped his foot, too fast to summon his tunnels, and pondered. So I am out of the loop, what can I do to get back in it? He pondered. That's when he got an idea. He walked over to Jack and whispered in his ear. The Guardian of fun was all smiles as Bunny told him of the idea that had come to the Pooka.

"Definitely! I'll get some help, be right back!"

As Jack flew off Bunny turned and came face to face with the Bilbi. It's long snout just a few feet from Bunny's nose.

"Hi, it is so nice to finally meet you mate!" The Bilbi greeted. "I just wanted to let you know that I have always admired your work. When the legend of the Easter Bilbi first started I could barely keep up with the ideas people were throwing at me. But after watching a professional like you I felt empowered to try hard." The Australian animal brought out a basket with a few eggs inside. They weren't chocolate eggs but hard boiled chicken eggs and the painting was far from Bunny's intricate designs but the Pooka could see they were done with care. "I had always hoped we would run into each other on Easter some year but I knew it was a long shot since you have the whole world to cover. To actually get to make your acquaintance is a dream come true!"

Bunny blushed at the words, all thoughts of resentment now gone. Maybe this was a guy who Bunny could take under his wing so to speak. As if that thought conjured him Jack arrived with a goose, one larger than any goose had a right to be in Bunny's opinion, who landed beside him.

"You know what Bilbi? I could use a hand setting up an impromptu egg hunt. You up for it?" Bunny asked.

The Bilbi's eyes widened and he hopped on his kangaroo like feet! "Yes, yes please!"

"Hey everyone, I have an announcement!" Jack called out. "The Easter Bunny and Bilbi have a surprise egg hunt for you!" The announcement caused chatter of excitement to break out. "And to make it even better, Charley the Golden goose has donated one of her eggs to the hunt."

The Golden Goose has laid an egg!?" The leprechaun cheered!

That really got everyone going, as Bunny and Bilbi handed out baskets people started spreading out and eagerly hunting for the eggs.

The Easter Bilbi took to the stage and began to sing. (1) "I got my hat, I got my net, I got binoculars, metal detector, I'm set! For an egg-pedition I'm on a mission, the greatest Easter egg hunt yet!"

Both Bunny's googies and Bilbi's eggs were being found all over. In pockets, under food stands, behind branches, you name it.

"My golden egg has my name on it. It will be mine, oh mine, oh mine, because I want it. It's there for the pickin, from a bunny or chicken. Soon I'll be holding my golden egg!"

The hunt evolved after the easy finds were all discovered. Now eggs were being found in the protection of animals, some not so kindly ones. "There are many scary things, be always on the lookout for whatever bites or stings." Between varying methods-coxing, trading, and tricking-these eggs were also precured. Still the golden one was yet unfound.

"The search will widen, to just beyond that pit might be where it's hiding." Taking that as a hint the crowd went to where Ursila had flooded the area of a pit before and began digging.

"I found it!" A high squeaky voice called out! Everyone turned to see that a young pixie held a golden egg, easily 20 times larger than her, in her arms. Her wings struggled to keep her a few more inches off the ground. They all gathered around and she landed. Then she tapped the shell and it came apart as thousands of tiny golden eggs. She giggled and started passing these out to everyone.

"My golden egg, thanks to the caring, or my competitor whose heart believes in sharing. What a wonderful feeling!"

Everyone spoke now as they held up the tiny eggs. "Because now we are holding, our golden eggs!"

Charley waddled over to the young pixie and laid a regular sized golden egg just for her! "Thank you!" She said, picking up the trophy for winning the hunt.

"Honk!" Charley replied with a goose smile!

The Golden goose' name came from the Disney movie Million dollar duck.
