And here we are, the second last chapter of this story! It truly has been a journey up until now, and it has almost been 4 years, shocking!
I am loading this from my brother's pc because mine is still packed away and I m still busy unpacking. I finally moved back to my home town on Saturday and it has been almost 14 years since I last lived with my parents and I am truly excited about this new chapter in my life. They also have the cutest puppy which I love so much already.
Anyway, I don't have much else to say so that I can let you get back to reading; the only warning for this chapter is a small lemon, nothing too explicit.

Chapter 41.4 - healing
Kai wakes up with a groan after he feels how one with the nurses puts the blood pressure cuff around his arm, and he remains a bit confused for a few seconds more before the previous night's events come rushing back to him, and he is unable to stop the smile from forming on his face as Kai thinks back to how wonderful and absolutely magical it had felt to make love to Mya once more, and speaking of Mya, Kai starts to realise that she is not next to him and he immediately starts to look around to see her, but she is not the room and he has no idea what to make of this.
The nurse sees that Kai is looking around, he without a doubt looking for Ms Azarov and she smiles friendly at Kai, "She went down to the cafeteria to get you two some coffee, because she says the ward's coffee tastes like concentrated piss, and I am directly quoting her, so she should be back in a couple of minutes' time, Mr Hiwatari."
Kai only nods his head to this while lying back down and looking up at the ceiling, another smile forming as he again thinks back to last night.
For him it had felt just like their first night together, and it is definitely going to be remembered as one of the most special nights of his life, and yes, they had made love in a hospital bed, in the hospital where they both are still patients but none of that matters because Mya and he are finally back together, and their love for each other is even stronger than before, something Kai did not think could be possible.
He suddenly cannot wait for her to come back just so that he can look into her eyes once more, those eyes that he loves to get lost in, and he just wants to see the love she feels for him reflect through her eyes. He would have preferred to wake up with her naked body in his arms, but as soon as they are both discharged from here, he wants to spend every waking minute with her in his arms and night time, he wants to hold her the entire time; they don't even have to make love, as long as he gets to have her in his arms, that is all that matters to him.
The nurse finishes up with her observations and leaves the room, Kai still looking up at the ceiling and waiting for Mya and while he waits for her, he realises that he is still naked underneath the covers, and again he smiles to himself because this again proves just what a wonderful night he has had with his precious Mya.
Fortunately for Kai, he does not wait too long for Mya to return, his black haired beauty walking into the room with a bright smile on her face while holding on to the two coffees, and she immediately walks over towards his bed where she places both cups on to the trolley next to his bed.
"Miss me?" Mya asks in a happy tone of voice because just like Kai, she too is over the moon about them making love the previous night.
It was like it was the last ingredient needed to make this relationship of theirs perfect, to make it even more special, and she cannot be happier about it; it feels like she is stuck in some Disney animated movie where she just wants to sing and dance and smile and laugh from sheer happiness, and it is all thanks to that wonderful man that is lying in the hospital bed and smiling up at her right now.
Mya leans down and kisses Kai deeply on the mouth before pulling away and again smiling at him, "Morning, my phoenix," she whispers and gives him another kiss before completely pulling away so that she can retrieve the two coffees.
"Mi Amor," is all that Kai says, he already knowing that Mya knows all that he wants to say but there is no need to say it because that is how good she knows him by now, knowing that his tone of voice says all that his words does not.
Kai elevates the head of the bed so that he can drink his coffee, he taking it from Mya as soon as he is comfortable and she joins him on the bed with her back also resting against the elevated bed, the two lovers sitting together as close as possible.
"How are you feeling this morning, my phoenix?" Mya asks in concerned tone of voice before taking a sip from the cup, because she is concerned about Kai seeing as he is still weak, and she hopes that he did not over exert himself last night.
Kai smirks to this after taking a sip from his coffee, he taking a few seconds to relish in how damn good this coffee tastes and now he gets why Mya went to the cafeteria to get it because this is how one starts a morning: a bloody good cup of coffee with the love of your life right next to you in bed.
Kai knows why Mya is asking him this seeing as he was still weak last night when they went to sleep but he is not sure how it is possible, but after last night's session of love making, he feels stronger today, almost like he has regained most of his energy and if making love with Mya gives him his strength back, he is most definitely going to take her again tonight.
"I feel fine, Mi Amor, I actually feel better than yesterday," Mya turning to look at him and he also looks back her while she gives him a knowing smile which means she also feels better than yesterday and there is no doubt in his mind that Mya's improvement is also due to them making love last night.
"Almost like you have gained your strength and you actually feel good enough to leave the hospital?"
"Yeah, something like that; I take it you also feel like that, Mi Amor?"
"Yeah, and I think it is because of what we did last night, my phoenix. I have no idea how it is possible, but I am almost certain that in some strange miraculous manner, when our bodies met, we combined out strengths and divided it equally between the two of us, and I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, but what other explanation can there be?"
Kai smiles to this because yes, it sounds completely ludicrous and yet it makes a lot of sense; it can also be due to the incredible release of endorphins into the bodies that then healed the last remaining bruises within their bodies, but he likes Mya's explanation better because it just seems more...romantic and suited for the two of them.
"What do you say about us doing it again tonight, Mi Amor, you know, just to prove your theory, and if we feel even better tomorrow, we will know for a fact that us making love makes us heal faster and so, if we then do it every day we will be out of here in no time."
Mya laughs to this, "Kai Hiwatari, if I didn't know any better, I would swear that you just want to get into my pants."
Kai also laughs to this and then winks at Mya, "Can you blame me, Mi Amor, and don't tell me that you also don't want to get into my pants because you enjoyed it just as much as I did last night, and if I am not mistaken, you did not get to finish so I will have to make up for it, don't you think so?" Kai leaning towards Mya where he starts to kiss her neck in a seductive manner and she only moans to this while closing her eyes as she takes in the feel of Kai's sensual lips again her own skin.
Man, did she miss this man, and not just his body but his entire being, and Mya still cannot believe that she had almost completely lost him this due to her own stubbornness and shitty mind. She should really thank Bryan personally for this because he really helped her in finding Kai once more, and even though she knows it must not have been easy for him, she is still grateful that Bryan was thinking of her happiness and he knew that her current happiness lies with Kai, and she wants to spend every waking minute with Kai so that they can get back the time they had lost which is already more than a month, but it does not feel that way given all the shit that they have been through, but she is still grateful for the second chance that she got with Kai and she is not going to waste it.
Kai pulls away from the kissing and looks at Mya, the two of them looking directly into each other's eyes and he can already see the lust within those beautiful spring green coloured eyes of her, he too feeling how desire is coursing through his veins and he only desires the woman in front of him right now.
Kai kisses Mya passionately for a few seconds before pulling away but he keeps his lips close to Mya's lips, his heated breath teasing those luscious lips of hers, "Forget the coffees, Mi Amor, and get under the covers with me, and make sure to remove your pants and underwear and after you have done that, turn your back towards me so that I can feel your naked ass press up against my dick. I am going to take you, Mi Amor, and this time I am going to make sure you finish first," Kai says seductively in a huskily tone of voice just to showcase how horny he is right now and how much he wants her right now.
Mya only moans to this while being put into a lust filled daze by Kai's husky voice whispering such erotic things against her lips and as if working on autopilot, she takes the coffees and places them back on to the trolley and does as Kai has instructed and in no time is she lying on her side with Kai thrusting into her from behind while he plays with her clit, the two of them once more making love and again, neither of them cares about someone walking into the room and seeing them. Fortunately this time their lower bodies are covered and they just look like two lovers who are spooning.
This was just the start of Kai and Mya finding each other's bodies all over again and before they knew it, the two of them were discharged from hospital at the same time, Valentin rather surprised about how quickly the two lovers managed to heal which was literally over night and even though Kai and Mya knows that their miraculous healing was due to them constantly making love, this was their little secret that only they will ever know about. Two days was all it took for Kai and Mya to heal enough to be discharged, and even though they still have to have their weekly therapy sessions with Dr Yana, Kai and Mya do not care because they are finally out of the hospital and now they are ready to continue their love on the outside world and with each other, walking this road side by side.
Tala, Alisia and Ray were the ones who came and picked Kai and Mya from the hospital, the three friends over the moon about the fact that Kai and Mya are finally back together and while the five friends were making their way out of the hospital door towards their car, no one noticed the burly man standing in the shadows and looking at them, he more specifically looking at Kai and Mya with a satisfied look on his face because Kai and Mya finally got back together and he could clearly see how happy Kai and Mya were with each other, the two lovers walking hand in hand while shining like bright little stars from sheer happiness and after giving the two lovers a last small smile, he disappeared back into the shadows to resume his life as Bryan Kuzentsov.
The chapter of Kai and Mya's stay in the hospital have finally come to an end, and now is the start of a new chapter in their lives where anything can happen.

Kai scrunches his eyes tightly to will away the pain, but he knows by now that there is no getting rid of this pain. He takes in his surroundings while being in sheer agony and he realises that Mya's naked form is pressed up against his own while he has his left arm wrapped around her, and the only way he will be able to subside this incredible headache will be to take his pain medication which is in the pocket of his jacket which is down stairs.
He does not have the strength to get up, but Kai knows that if he does not get up to get the pills, the pain will only get worse and when Mya wakes up, he will not be able to pretend that there is nothing wrong with him like he has done lately, and so, with a lot of effort, he quietly moves away from Mya and he sighs in relief when he sees that she is not even stirring and after giving Mya's naked body a last glance, he quietly makes his way out of the room, Kai not even bothering to get dressed.
He makes his way downstairs, although it is not easy seeing as every step he takes feels like his head wants to explode and he is already nauseous from the pain and if he could choose right now, he would rather just go die somewhere because he is really tired of all of this crap.
'Don't worry, it won't be long now and then all of this shit will come to an end,' he thinks to himself just as he reaches the chair where his jacket is draped over and he quickly removes the pill container that contains his pain medication.
While still being quiet, Kai makes his way towards to the kitchen where he gets a glass of water and consumes four pain pills, that double the dosage he is suppose to take, but Kai is in so much pain right now that he does not care and besides, it is Sunday, so he can stay in bed all day. Sure, he would most likely be too stoned to make love to Mya but by the afternoon, he will be fine and then he can take her once more.
Kai remains to stand by the counter and he runs his left hand through his hair, the business mogul immediately realising something is wrong as he runs his hand through his hair. When Kai pulls his hand back he sees the hair that he is holding, which means that he is finally losing his hair and this also means that his time has finally come to an end and that he should start getting everything in order now because now it won't be much longer right now.
Before things start to go downhill, he wants to be gone, because there is no way in hell that his pride will allow him to become a shell of his former self.
Despite all this, there is only one thing that Kai cares about and that is Mya, his precious Mya, and what this is going to do to her.
Kai places the glass in the sink and walks to the table to get his phone, he quickly finding the number that he is looking for and after a few rings, the person picks up.
"Good morning, Mr Hiwatari, how may I help you?"
"Sergio, I want you and Nadia to be in my office tomorrow first thing in the morning; there is something that I want you to do for me, or a few things, is that understood?"
"I will inform Nadia right away, Sir, and we will be there early tomorrow morning."
"Good, see you then."
"Good day to you, Mr Hiwatari," Kai hears but he does not say anything back as he just hangs up, his shoulders slumping because of what he has to do tomorrow.
Kai decides to stay down stairs a few minutes more so that the pills can start doing their work, and then he will go back upstairs to Mya and just take her into his arms once more and fall asleep in that position.
The two lovers are currently at Mya's penthouse, Kai seeing it as unnecessary for Mya to move back to Hiwatari manor due to what is going to happen soon, so it will be for the best for her to just remain in her penthouse; fortunately she has not brought up the living arrangements of them, and Kai can only hope that it will remain that way until all of this is over.
'Mi Amor, I hope you can forgive me for this, but this is the only way, and I do hope that you will understand that.'

Nestor continues to hold his hair in his hands in a defeated manner while Kai and the other two attorneys, Sergio and Nadia continue to look at him in a saddened manner, which is expected after the news Nestor has just been dealt.
"Sergio, Nadia, if you would please excuse us," Kai says as he keeps his eyes on his defeated right hand man, the other two attorneys only nodding their heads to this.
"Shall we leave the contract so that you can discuss it thoroughly, Mr Hiwatari?"
Kai nods his head to this but says nothing else, and the two attorneys take this as their cue to leave and with a final and silent nod to Kai which they receive back, the two attorneys take their briefcases in hand and leave the boardroom, Nestor not even paying them any attention as he keeps his head down and in his hands and continues to stare down at the wooden desk without really looking at it.
Kai waits until the door closes behind Sergio and Nadia before he gets up and pours Nestor a glass of water which he then places in front of Nestor on the table, but as expected, Nestor does not move.
Kai can't blame the guy for reacting this way; he is certain that if he had told this news to Tala and the others, they would have reacted the same way, maybe even worse especially seeing as he has made up his mind about what is going to happen very soon.
Kai goes to stand in front of the large window and looks out at the clouded sky and sees how gloomy the entire city looks, despite it still having a beauty to it that does not compare to any other place.
'No place like home,' Kai thinks to himself as he crosses his arms in front of his chest while giving Nestor some time to digest all of this as he continues to take in the sights before him, and he also starts to get lost in his own thoughts about Mya and himself.
He still can't believe that they have been able to work through this horrible dark period, that they have been able to fall even more in love with each other, but it is just too bad that it will be short lived and that is what breaks his heart the most, the fact that he has just given Mya back her happiness just to take it away from her once more, and this time there will no giving it back to her.
This time she will surely hate him like never before.
Time is running out for both of them and it is running out fast, faster than he would have liked, but this is the hand that he has been dealt by life and by destiny and even though he has the world's power at the tip of his fingers, this is something that he cannot change or control, no matter how much he threatens or fights, there is no changing the course of what lies ahead for both Mya and himself.
Nestor finally manages to lift his head and he looks up at the back of his employer's back, he taking in Kai's posture and body and now that he pays closer attention, he can see that Kai is not healthy and that he has actually lost quite a lot of weight and now he understands why.
Nestor still can't believe that all of this is happening, and he is going to need more than just a day to accept all of this and to come to a decision because this is not something that can be decided in a matter of minutes or something that can be taken lightly.
Kai is going to step down in a less than a week's time and then he that is Nestor will be the new CEO of Hiwatari Enterprises if he signs this contract. If he does sign this contract, he will get 50% of Kai's shares in Hiwatari Enterprises, the other 50% will go to an anonymous person, and he will basically take all off Kai's responsibilities; he will literally be the new face of Hiwatari Enterprises, and for Nestor this is one hell of a promotion and one he is almost certain he does not want. It is not that he is ungrateful, it is just that that there is only one Kai Hiwatari and there will always be just one Kai Hiwatari, and he is a remarkable business man.
He is still in literal shock that Kai wants him to be the CEO, Nestor feeling like he will not be able to fill Kai's shoes.
Kai can feel Nestor's eyes on his back but he will wait until his right man is ready to talk before saying anything to Nestor, because he knows that this must have come as one hell of a shock to Nestor; any normal person would react this way.
Nestor still cannot believe that Kai will not be here for much longer, and now his heart is starting to break because Kai does not deserve this; he is still so young and Kai still has so much plans for both his professional and personal life, he still has so much life in him, and now it seems that all of that has gone to hell, and now his heart breaks even more because Mya suddenly pops into his head and he can only imagine how devastated she must have been when Kai had told her what is going on with his health and what the end results will be.
"Mr Hiwatari?"
"Don't call me that, Nestor," Kai says sternly while he keeps his back faced towards Nestor.
Nestor clears his throat, "Sorry; Kai, how long have you known about your...err...health condition?" and he can't hide his hurt and slight nervousness from within his voice.
Kai remains quiet for a while as he takes in Nestor's question, his sights still on the outside world while he thinks back to that horrible day that he had received that shocking news, and not too long after that, he broke Mya's heart in the worst possible way.
'What a journey it has been up until now,' Kai thinks to himself.
"More or less about two months, maybe longer, I am not sure because I have somewhat lost concept of time, Nestor, but it was already too late to do anything; no amount of medicine or money in the world can change anything about it, and I have made peace with it," Kai turns around and finally faces Nestor, "and so will you, understood?"
Nestor can see the defeated and tired look within Kai's eyes and suddenly he can't help but to get all chocked up, but knowing Kai, the business mogul would not tolerate his pity and sympathy, so he has to try and keep his tears at bay.
Nestor nods his head all while trying to keep his tears at bay because he still can't believe that this wonderful and strong man has been dealt this horrible hand in life's card game; it just seems so unfair.
"I know this comes as shock to you, Nestor, and you have every right in the world to decline this offer, but I chose you for a reason; you have been my right hand man for so long now and I honestly do not trust anyone else the way I trust you, and I have faith in you that you will continue to make Hiwatari Enterprises a company that many would envy for years to come. You have the vision and the drive to keep this company moving forward and I mean it. You know I am not one to constantly praise one's work, but I would praise your work any time of the day, Nestor, because you truly are an one a million employee, and that is why there will be no one better suited for this position other than you. I know you can do it and you also know that you can do it."
Nestor finally loses the battle with keeping his tears at bay because the tears finally start to flow from his eyes, these tears stemming from both gratitude and sadness; gratitude towards Kai for giving him this once in a lifetime opportunity, and sadness that it had to be under these circumstances, that he has to lose his mentor and idol in order to gain this position.
"Kai...I...I don't know if I will ever be able to measure up to your heights."
"Nonsense, Nestor; you already have, why do you think I have always included you in all of the meetings? Not just because you are good in your work, but because you are beyond excellent. How many times have you taken my place this year, Nestor? How many times have I called you and just informed you that I will not come in today and that you should take over, and every time you did not even hesitate for a second, and you did it with flying colours, and that alone proves that you are ready to take my place, Nestor; you have been ready for it for a long time now, and now it is finally time to take your rightful place. But I cannot force you to do this if you do not want to. I do not want you to feel pressured or anything."
Just then Nestor jumps up and embraces Kai without even giving the business mogul a chance to react, the tears now flowing freely from Nestor's eyes. Kai's eyes widen slightly to this and for a few seconds he hesitates on whether he should hug Nestor back but in the end he decides that this will probably be the only time that they will hug like this, so he finally embraces Nestor back even though he is not comfortable with this, but for the greater good he will tolerate it for now.
"Thank you so much for this opportunity, Kai, thank you so, so much. Of course I would take it and I am going to make you proud," Nestor pulls away from the embrace but he places his hands on Kai's shoulders while Kai drops his arms to his side, "I promise I will be keep the Hiwatari name high and proud, and I will do everything in my power to make sure that your legacy and that of your grandfather continues to live on for many years to come. That is my promise to you, Kai."
Kai also places a hand on Nestor's left shoulder, "Then I am glad that you will accept this, Nestor; I know it is a big sacrifice but you are built for this, and you still have a bright future ahead of you," and suddenly Nestor again starts to get choked about this because Kai does not have a future ahead of him and he again pulls Kai into an embrace, tears still flowing from his eyes.
Kai pats him a few times on the back in order to try and comfort Nestor in his own way, but he was truly never good with this emotional stuff, and this just proves it again.
"I am so, so sorry that you have to go through this, Kai; you of all people do not deserve this, so I am really sorry that you have to go through this."
Kai finally pulls away from the embrace and Nestor realises that he has hugged Kai too much already and he also quickly steps away from Kai, he wiping his tears away with the back of his hands and immediately tries to compose himself once more because he cannot be this broken in front of Kai; he has to show him that he will be able to handle this.
"Do not feel sorry for me, Nestor," Kai says in a stern voice as he once more turns to face the window as he places his hands in the pockets of his pants.
"I know I should not, Kai, but it is only human; one would always sympathise with another person whenever a tragedy befalls them. I know you are a strong man, Kai, but still, this just seems so unfair to me. What about Mya, how did she take it when you told her?"
Kai remains silent for a few seconds while he can feel how a knife is driven into his heart because of what she would do when he does tell her this; this is going to completely break her.
"She does not know, Nestor," Kai says softly and in an almost defeated manner while he slightly lowers his head, "no one but you, along with Nadia and Sergio know about this, and I want to keep it that way."
"Oh okay, Kai, I promise that I would not say a word, but you do know that they all will be heartbroken when they find out that you have kept this from them, right?"
"They will survive, just as everyone does when they say goodbye to a loved one; time heals all wounds."
Nestor can only look at Kai with a sad look on his face because even though Kai may pretend that he is fine with all of this, one can hear in his voice that he too is heartbroken about what is to come.
"You are more than welcome to take the contract home and read it, Nestor, and then when you are ready, you can sign it."
Nestor realises that this conversation is over and that Kai wants to be alone, which he will respect, "Very well, Kai; I will take it and read it over and by morning it will be signed."
Kai only nods his head to this, but he does not turn around to face Nestor as he keeps his attention on the world outside.
"I guess I will see you tomorrow then, Kai, bright and early?"
Again Nestor just receives a silent nod from Kai and without saying anything else, he takes the contract from the table and heads towards the door and just as he is about to walk out after opening the door, he looks at Kai one last time, Kai still looking out at the outside world and Nestor can only imagine what Kai must be going through, and with that thought he finally leaves the boardroom and closes the door behind him, thus leaving Kai alone to further dwell in his thoughts.
Kai sighs tiredly to himself while thinking of his black haired beauty, 'Please forgive me my precious Mya for what I have to do you, please.'

Kai turns around while standing at the door and he gives the office one last look because this is no longer his office. From Monday on, this will be Nestor's office. Kai smirks to himself while he starts to reminisce about all that he has done in this office, the women he has taken, the orders he has given to have someone killed, the plans he has thought of to further the name of Hiwatari, it sure was a good run.
He has almost spend half of his life in this office, some of those years being when he got life lessons from his grandfather, and to this day he still cherishes each and every one of them because they helped him shape him into the business man he is today, one that would have made his grandfather very proud.
It is already dark outside and almost everyone has gone home, and he prefers it that way. No one knows that today was his last day at Hiwatari Enterprises and it is for the best. Monday will surely be an interesting day within the business world when it is discovered that Kai is no longer a part of this company, and he has faith that Nestor will show all of those corporate sharks that he is capable of running this company, and that he will continue to keep it a success.
Kai sighs to himself and after making sure that he has everything with him in his duffel bag, he closes the door for one last time and makes his way past Vera's desk, he already imagining how broken she will be because he never greeted her, but at least she will be compensated generously for all of her work and hopefully she will continue to work here until she no longer can because that will also make life much easier for Nestor.
Kai finally makes his way up to the roof where the helicopter is waiting for him to take him back to Hiwatari manor where he will take a quick shower and then get ready to go to Feniks manor where he has organised a small get together with just his closest friends. No one has questioned him about it, and even if they did, he just would have scoffed at it and said, 'why does he have to explain himself?'
Mya will meet him at Feniks manor and just thinking about his black haired beauty puts a smile on his face because these past two weeks since they have been discharged has been nothing but perfect and heavenly, and tomorrow it will be the two of them having drinks with Sevastyan, that Mya does not know about yet, Sunday will be just the two of them where they will do all kinds of 'couple stuff' and then as soon as night time starts, he will take her back to Hiwatari manor where he is going to surprise her with a little something that he is going to put together for them and he is going to spend the entire night making love to her, no matter how tired she will get; there will be no sleeping, well, maybe two hours or so but not longer, and then Monday morning...
Kai suddenly shakes his head to rid himself of what is going to happen on Monday, he not wanting to think about how he is going to rip Mya's world apart, about how he HAS to do it.
'I can only hope that you will forgive me, Mi Amor, but it has to be done, and for that I am sorry.'
In no time is Kai up in the air and heading to Hiwatari manor, he not thinking about anything else other than how he is going to spend the night with Mya right by his side, just the way it should be.

"What the hell are we doing here, my phoenix? Who is this guy that we have to meet here, in the warehouse of all places?" Mya asks as she looks up at the various stacked crates all around them, she still not knowing why they are meeting somewhere that has nothing to do with the mob.
It is Saturday midday and all that Kai had told her is that they have to meet someone, but other than that, he was very vague about the details.
Kai says nothing as he continues to walk ahead of Mya, he listening attentively to her foot steps behind him; he knows that she is more than capable of taking care of herself, but she is still healing after her ordeal with Boris, and she is still not completely back to her old self, and with his weakened state, he too would not be much use should they somehow face danger in here.
At least he knows that should something happen in here with them, Sevastyan will be able to help them, he already spotting the behemoth of a man up in front skulking in the shadows.
Bryan spots Kai and Ana coming up ahead and he can feel how his heart starts to beat even faster because he has no idea how this meeting is going to go down.
When Kai suggested that he meet his girlfriend, Bryan first hesitated about it, but Kai was insistent and he said that it would mean so much to him to finally meet the woman that has brought the mighty Kai Hiwatari down to his knees, and in the end Bryan finally agreed, he not certain whether Ana knows about this meeting or if she is also as nervous as he is about this meeting.
Mya looks over Kai's shoulder and sees a big guy up ahead and she immediately recognises him, a sudden nervous feeling coming over here because what the hell did Kai think of introducing her to 'Sevastyan' and what the hell did Bryan think of agreeing to this, unless he did not know Kai was bringing her along to this meeting.
'Keep calm, woman, just remember to breath,' Mya thinks to herself while she follows Kai silently and they are now only a few feet away from Bryan who is sitting leisurely on one of the crates like he does not have a care in the world.
'Stay calm, Bryan; stay indifferent to Ana so that Kai does not get suspicious. He already caught me in the room of his girlfriend back at the hospital,' Bryan thinks to himself while he sees how Kai and Ana are getting closer, his eyes immediately meeting Ana's eyes and he can see that she is more than surprised to see him here and she is trying to play it cool, just like him.
The two lovers finally reach the burly guy and Bryan continues to sit on the crate in a relaxed manner with his arms crossed in front of his chest and he smirks at Kai when Kai looks at him.
"So this is the famous Mya Azarov, kiddo, the one that brought you down to your knees," Bryan says in an amused manner and then briefly looks at Mya before turning his attention back to Kai, he seeing how Kai takes Ana's hand into his and pulls her to right next to him and smiles at Ana before looking back at him.
"Yeah, this is she; Mi Amor, this is Sevastyan."
Mya pretends to act surprised as her eyes widen and her lower jaw drops to make it more believable, "Sevastyan? But wasn't he killed or something?" she asks, all while still pretending to be both shocked and confused by this, because there is no way Kai can ever find out that she and Bryan were lovers and that Bryan had trained her to exact her revenge on him.
"Yeah, that would be that Sevastyan, Mi Amor, but for some miraculous reason, he survived that ambush and we found each other back at the hospital, or more like he found me there seeing as he posed as one of the nurses."
Mya looks at Bryan and the two look each other directly in the eye and their eyes say all that there is to say, they both making a silent agreement to remain calm and in character in front of Kai otherwise a whole lot of shit might take place.
"I have heard quite a bit about you, girl, and you sure have done a number on this guy," Bryan says while motioning with his head into Kai's direction, he still keeping his arms crossed in front of his chest.
"The name is Mya, not girl," Mya says, she deciding that if she should stay in character, she is going to give it 200% and she immediately sees the amusement in Bryan's eyes when she corrects him in her 'Mya' persona.
Bryan sniggers to this, "I like her, kiddo, now I can see why you went for her; she has more balls than most men that I know."
To this Kai looks at Mya and he can't help but to smile at her, the love showing clearly in their eyes and Bryan does not miss it, and even though it stings his heart, he is still happy that Kai has his precious Mya back in his life.
"She is one of a kind woman, Sevastyan, and she is all mine," Kai says softly as he keeps his eyes on Mya for a while longer before turning back to look at Sevastyan, he now smirking, "So where is the booze you said we can have; I'm thirsty."
Bryan chuckles to this and jumps off of the crate and nudges with his head for the two love birds to follow him, Mya at least feeling a little calmer about being around Kai and Bryan at the same time.
The two lovers follow Bryan through a row of high stacked crates until they reach a table with three chairs around it, and on it is various snacks and bottles of alcohol, Mya not entirely sure what to make of this right now. She does not mind having a drink, as long as it is just a few drinks and she does not end up drunk because she may just spill a few things she should not, so for the safety of both Kai and Bryan, she will not consume a lot of alcohol and just pretend to enjoy being in the company of her current lover and her former lover.
Bryan is the first to take a seat with Kai and Mya following him and Kai only grins at the bottles on the table, "Now this is what I am talking about, Sevastyan. Time to get shit faced like the good old times."
"Hell yeah, kiddo; it has been too long, don't you agree?"
Kai only smirks to this and then turns to face Mya, "You don't mind, Mi Amor, do you?"
Mya smiles warmly at Kai while squeezing his hand, "Of course not, my phoenix; I am rather curious to hear all about your times together, so let's get our drink on so that you two can spill your guts."
Kai says nothing else and just leans towards Mya and kisses her deeply before pulling away and releasing his hold in her hand, Mya quickly looking at Bryan to see whether he is alright, but he just nods his head to her while smiling at her to show that he has no problem with their displays of affection.
Yes, it is going to bother him to no end because that use to be his woman, but that was in the past and now Ana belongs to Kai, and Kai is allowed to touch and kiss his woman as much as he wants to; it will sting and hurt like a bitch, but he will survive.

About two hours have already passed between the three and their stories have ranged from funny to downright dark and disturbing, but Mya was surprisingly okay with the dark tales. Bryan even looked at her with amazement in his eyes when Kai told him about when they went human hunting and how Mya managed to kick the other hunters' asses with how good she was, Kai even said that she had a natural talent for it, and Bryan was very surprised to hear this but also very proud.
When he met that blonde haired woman in the alley that night all those years ago, he never would have imagined her to turn into this badass woman, and sure, he finds her a thousand times hotter right now, which he never thought could be possible because for him she was always the most beautiful and most perfect woman he has ever had, and he would not have minded to have her here on this table right now, but he is really proud of her for conquering this world of organised crime when she could not even stomach other people getting killed in front of her in the beginning of her training. She has proved to the crime world that she is a force to be reckoned with and he couldn't have been prouder about it.
Kai stands up and Mya just looks up at him with a questioning look on her face, he seeing this and leans down to kiss her on top of her head, "I have to go drain the main vein, Mi Amor," he says and it is clear that he has already had a few drinks seeing as he sounds all loving, not at all like the usual Kai.
Kai makes his way between two stacks of crates, Mya just looking at Kai's retreating back and as soon as Kai is out of sight, she turns to Bryan with a concerned and guilty look on her face, the burly man just leaning back in the chair with his hands placed behind his head with a look of contentment on his face.
Bryan already knows that Ana must be stressing her hair out of her head, but he will assure her that she has nothing to feel bad about.
"Bryan, I honestly had no idea that this was what Kai was planning; if I had known, I would have found an excuse not to come. This must be somewhat difficult for you, and I am so sorry for that."
Bryan smiles to this while remaining in his relaxed demeanour, "Relax, sweetness, I am fine with seeing you and Kai together, really. I knew that he wanted me to meet you, and yes, I was a little bit nervous about it, but I knew that we both would remain calm. I am just glad that you gave him another chance, sweetness, and I can see that you are also happy about that."
To this Mya can't help but to just smile because it was thanks to Bryan that she came to her senses about Kai, and she will always be grateful to Bryan for that, "Yeah, and I owe you a huge thanks for that, Bryan. You could have been selfish and taken me for yourself, but instead you practically begged me to go back to Kai, so thanks, Bryan; were it not for you, I probably would not have wanted to see Kai ever again. I also owe a huge apology for how I treated you that night when all you did was try to help me, sorry for that because you are the last person that deserved to be treated that horribly. I guess I should also apologise for the blue balls," Mya saying this last part sheepishly and lowers her head in shame because of how shameful she was that night, seducing Bryan like that and then chasing him away when she could not get her way.
Bryan chuckles to the blue part, "I lived, sweetness, so don't worry about, although it has been some time since you gave me blue balls," Bryan winking his left eye at Ana because she looked up at him as soon as he started talking, and he sees how she blushes after winking at her and she too only smiles at him.
"But in all seriousness, sweetness you both deserve happiness and your happiness is my happiness, even if it is in the arms of another man, and I just knew that I had to do something to make you see that you still belong with Kai and that you still love him."
"I will never stop loving you, Bryan, and I am honest when I say that. I still love you as much as I did when we were together, and that love will never disappear, not for as long as I breath. It is just that I managed to love another man as well, but you will always be my first love, Bryan."
Bryan continues to smile at Ana, "And I love you, sweetness, always have and always will and that will also never change, and yeah, I will always hold on to the hope that we will end up together again where we will begin a life together, and that is something I will hold on to until I am old and grey, and if it makes any difference in making it easier for you in regards to my feelings towards your relationship with Kai, you have my blessing to be with him, sweetness, in any way you desire and for as long as you want. I give you my blessing," and Bryan smiles softly at Ana to show her that he means what he is saying, that he is giving his blessing on her relationship with Kai.
He just wants her to be happy, because at the end of the day, that is all that matters to him.
Mya is suddenly at a loss for words after hearing Bryan give her his blessing to continue to be with Kai, and this just proves to her again that Bryan is a much better person than she is, especially after all he has sacrificed for her so far.
He has trained her to become a killer, he has supported her in her venture into the crime world, he had to witness her in the arms of another man and there are still so many other sacrifices he made, and still he loves her and wants her to be happy, even if it is in the arms of another man.
Would she have done the same, were she in Bryan's shoes? Well, his happiness is her happiness, even if it is in the arms of another woman, and isn't that what true love is all about in the end? To make the ultimate sacrifices for the person that you love more than anything in the world?
She says nothing to Bryan's blessing, but her eyes and smile says everything there is to say, and the two former lovers still know each other so well that words are not needed to know what the other one is thinking and what the other wants to say without actually speaking, which again proves that these two still love each other on a deep and intimate level, and that it will never change, no matter what has happened after they broke up with each other.

Mya and Bryan look at each other before they turn their attention back on to Kai, both of them now grinning because that does sound like a kick ass plan, and Mya can already envision herself slitting a few throats of men that think they can overpower her. She does not even care about the fact that Bryan will see her in that demented state because now that she has heard about a possible killing, adrenaline is pumping through her veins and her hands immediately start to itch to take someone's life.

It is not even eight in the evening but it is already dark, the three mobsters moving quietly through the streets in one of the most dangerous areas of Moscow, this being the same area where Kai and Mya took out a few people with their sniper guns not too long ago, Mya already anticipating her first kill for the night. She can feel how the darkness is already pulsing within her body, she now literally acting like a hungry predator that is foaming at the mouth while it prepares to sink its sharp teeth into the skin of its victim and bringing its life to an end in a matter for seconds, and then feasting.
Kai too is feeling anxious in fighting someone to the death, just to feel the life leave the other person's body; it has been some time since he has taken someone's life, and he can feel how he is getting some type of withdrawal symptoms, and that is why he is opting to kill a few bad people rather than take out someone innocent like he use to in the good old days, and anyway, he doubts Mya would appreciate him killing innocent people tonight, so thugs it is.
Bryan constantly glances between the two lovers, he getting a darkened aura from both of them, he immediately recognising Kai's aura seeing as he was there from day one when Kai developed his thirst for killing, but he is surprised to feel such an aura coming from Ana, and this is proof that the mob life has changed her dramatically, that she is no longer the sweet and innocent, yet sometimes crude, Anastasia and he is not entirely sure how he should feel about this.

She hears him chuckle next to her, but other than that, he says nothing while he continues to lead her with his hands on her hips.
It does not take long for the two lovers to reach their destination, Mya hearing how two wooden doors are slid open and then Kai gently guides her inside, he still not removing the blind fold until he closes the doors behind them and finally removes the blindfold from Mya's eyes, she only gasping in surprise when she looks down at what Kai has done for them.

Mya spots the various platters of food along with wines, water and juice, she unable to stop grinning at this, and she immediately turns around and wraps her arms around Kai's neck as she pulls him into a tight hug which he gladly returns all while feeling quite proud of himself for what he has accomplished.
Well, what his staff has accomplished; he just had to order them on how everything should be. The two of them are going to spend the night here where he is going to make love to her all through the night while they much and drink some in between. There are enough logs to keep the fire burning all night long, just as the fire within his soul, heart and groin will burn all night long for Mya.

Kai closes the gap between them as he captures Mya's lips in his own, he more than ready to take Mya and to make love to her. He just wants to take in this angel before him, he just wants to continue shutting out the rest of the world and keep all of his focus on only Mya.
"Just how lucky I am to have you in my life, Mi Amor," Kai finally answers after a while, he pulling Mya's hand closer to place a kiss on top of it before giving it another squeeze, "and how I never want this night to end. I just wish we could stay in the bubble like this for all eternity, just you and me, without a care in the world and without any responsibilities."
Mya can't help but to smile softly to that because she won't mind that either, "That sure would be the dream, won't it? We may not be able to live like this forever, but we can try to do this at least once a month, my phoenix," Kai can't help but to feel a stabbing pain in his chest upon hearing Mya's plan because that will unfortunately not happen, because after tomorrow...
"You started a thing, Hiwatari, and I want to be surprised like this at least once a month, got it?" Mya demands in a joking manner, she completely oblivious to the internal struggle of her man right now.
Kai does not answer her but instead just nods his head to that and gives the top of her hand another kiss.
To take his mind off of his morbid thoughts, Kai thinks back to how different tonight's setting is from last night. Last night after he and the other two had managed to kill the group of thugs, Kai was so horny after witnessing Mya take on two guys at once and killing them, that he wanted to take her right there in front of Sevastyan.

Mya rolls her eyes at this in a playful manner as she starts to laugh at this, this just being how Kai is and how she got to know him, and to be honest, she does not want him to be anything else; he is perfect just the way he is, he is her Kai.
"Fine, fine, we can go, seeing as the BIG BOSS has said we should go; happy?" Mya says with humour lacing every word, and it just speeds up Kai's heart because of how much this is going to hurt tomorrow to bring all of this to an abrupt end.
Kai plays it cool and still smirks at Mya in that arrogant manner, "More than happy, Mi Amor; I just have to swing by Feniks manor to drop off something for Tala and then we are on the road, okay?"
Mya nods her head to this and says nothing else, she now being the one to just take in Kai's gorgeous face, she thinking to how much she and Kai has been through and they have not even been together for a year; sure, she also went through some stuff with Bryan, but with Bryan it was a much more peaceful life, whereas with Kai it is so busy and full of action, and she cherishes them both, both the peaceful life she had with Bryan and this hectic life that she is currently sharing with Kai.
She would not change anything.
Mya still cannot believe that she was so close to losing Kai for good, but again, she feels both fortunate and blessed to have another chance with Kai, and she is going to cherish every minute of it, just like she is now.
"I am ready for you to make love to me again, my phoenix," Mya whispers while squeezing Kai's hand and looking deep into his eyes, her heart and body suddenly yearning to feel Kai both in and on her.
Kai says nothing to this and only leans forward and kisses her, the kissing becoming deep and passionate in a matter of seconds, and Kai pushes Mya gently onto her back and positions himself on top of her where she immediately wraps her legs around his body without breaking the kiss.
Kai is hard once more within a blink of an eye seeing as he went limp after lying and resting next to Mya, but now he is hard all over again and ready to take Mya once more.
No more words are shared between the two lovers as they continue to kiss passionately, soft moans and groans heard from both of them at different times while being wrapped tightly around each other.
Kai finally pushes back into Mya and he swears that it suddenly has become way more intense than before, he gasping and temporarily breaking away from the kiss to just look down into Mya's eyes, her lips slightly parted as she too has just experienced an out of this world pleasure the moment Kai penetrated her, and the two lovers just gaze into each other's eyes as Kai slowly starts to pick up pace with his thrusting, the two of them looking into each other's eyes a while longer before Kai captures her lips once more and this time it is done in a more desperate and urgent manner and Mya returns the urgent and desperate kissing.
To them both this seems like a much more intense session of love making, it being so intense that they both start to pant within minutes, along with their skins that also become sweaty very quickly and even though Kai can last much longer, he can already feel how an orgasm is making its way, he realising that it is still too soon, but he cannot stop thrusting in and out of Mya right now, he being too lost in this trance of love making.

"I love you too, Kai," Mya also says softly before pulling Kai down for another kiss while tears slowly slip from her eyes, but at least is it tears of sheer happiness and joy, because she can't believe that Kai finally told her that he loved her.
She never cared about not hearing those words from Kai, because Kai always was a guy where his actions spoke louder than his words, and his actions always showed her that he loves her, but hearing it now...she is simply overwhelmed to finally hear it from Kai. It just means so much more when a guy is always the first to utter those three words and fortunately for Mya, Kai has said them first and she is simply over the moon right now.
Kai wraps his arms even tighter around Mya while they continue to kiss heatedly, he glad that Mya also returned those words.
Again are the two lovers lost in their own little world, but now they are basking in a new type of glow, the glow of finally saying 'I love you', to each other and it sure feel glorious to them both right now.

Kai tips the ash of his cigarette into the ashtray while he keeps his attention on the sleeping and still Mya in front of him; she finally surrendered to exhaustion after he made love to her three more times after declaring his love for her, and now Kai can feel that his own body is finally giving in after putting it through so much strain, but he does not care; he would much rather sit here and watch Mya sleep.
Besides, it is already past six in the morning so what is the use of going to sleep now? They will be leaving soon anyway so he may as well stay awake the entire time, and fortunately for him, it is highly unlikely of him to fall asleep behind the wheel for when they go for their drive.
Looking at Mya's naked back makes Kai think to all the men of the past, all of the powerful men during the history of mankind, and with 99% of them, there was always a woman behind that man, and Kai understands why: because the love of a woman can make a man want to accomplish the impossible, it gives him the strength and drive unlike anything else, and that is how Kai had always felt with Mya by his side, like he is the strongest man that can accomplish anything in this world.
A woman's love truly is a remarkable thing and it can really do wonders for both a man and the world and he is living proof of it. He always thought that he had a wonderful life, a life that many dreamt about having because he had money, he had power, he could get anything he wanted; his world was filled with drugs, sex, power, money and good times, but it wasn't until Mya came into his life as a lover that he realised that his life was actually empty, that he was always missing something that he did not even realise he was missing, and he finally found that thing that was missing: Mya Azarov.
With her by his side, his life was complete, and he hopes that he too had at least meant something to Mya, even if he took away her family, but soon she will have the reasons of why he did what he did. Unfortunately, her vision and memories of her brother will be shattered, but Mya has proven that she is a strong woman and that she can overcome any obstacle, and she will also overcome this; it will hurt, but she will always be a strong woman.
Were she someone else, Kai would have had his doubts, but Mya has proven over and over again that she is a fighter, a strong woman and a survivor. She has overcome the murder of her family and has trained to become a killer so that she could get to him to avenge their murders; she has conquered the crime world and has shown this men dominated world that she can be just as dangerous and deadly as them, if not deadlier; she has overcome the shit he had put her through in the beginning when he wanted her out of this mob and she has risen above all of the challenges that she faced, and she has overcome what Boris had done to her which again proves to Kai that Mya can survive any challenge that she faces because she does not know how to fail or how to quit.
This new challenge will be no different and she will also overcome this one.
Kai crushes the cigarette bud in the ashtray and takes a sip from his juice before getting up from the couch and walking over to where Mya is sleeping softly, he lying down next to her and pulls her closer to him; he is not going to sleep but just hold her until it is time to get up.
Kai places a last kiss on Mya's naked shoulder before getting comfortable so that he can just get lost in Mya's sleeping presence until it is time to get up and get ready for the day, and who knows, maybe they will be able to get a quickie in before they leave. He always did like to take Mya in the shower or in the bath, so why not later?

Tala takes a seat behind his desk and he is not even seated for two minutes when one of his men comes walking in with a letter in hand.
"Sorry to disturb, Mr Ivanov, but this was delivered just a few minutes ago and it is addressed to you," and he hands over the envelope which Tala takes and he thanks the man with just a silent nod of his head, the man taking this as the signal to excuse himself.
Tala sees his name in front and he immediately recognises it as Kai's handwriting, he wondering why Kai would send him a letter so early in the morning, and why Kai would send him a letter in the first place? That is so out of character for Kai.
Tala leans back in the comfortable leather chair and opens up the envelope where he removes a letter consisting of a single page, he immediately starting to read it.
Tala barely starts to read before he sits up straight, his eyes wide as he continues to read the content of the letter, and the moment he finishes it, he jumps from the chair and rushes out of the office, yelling at anyone who can hear him to get him the keys of one of the mini trucks, his entire being filled with dread and panic right now because of what Kai is about to do, and he is going to do his damn best to try and stop this.
'Don't you do this, Kai, please, please, don't do this, please. Don't you dare!'

Mya notices that they are finally getting off of the main road and they are now making their way down a dirt road, or it is a dirt road when it is not winter. Right now it is just covered with snow, and fortunately her truck's wheels are covered with chains so that they do not get stuck in the thick snow.
Mya was somewhat sad when she had heard that Kai had lost his Dodge truck, but he did that all just to rescue her which more than makes up for it. It sure was a beauty but when it comes to Kai's possessions, nothing compares to Mya which warms the black haired beauty's heart.
She is still a bit tired after the gruelling yet absolutely wonderful night she has had with Kai, but she is not tired enough to go to bed, she feeling both curious and excited to see what Kai wants to show her.
It seems Kai has been full of surprises since Friday; first it was the small gathering that Kai had organised which did seem strange, but Mya was happy about it all the same; then came the secret meeting with Bryan and Kai later explained to her how 'Sevastyan' survived, even though she already knew it and then last night happened, and man, was it a remarkable night. And Kai finally told her he loved her which was like literally the highlight of the entire evening, maybe even the entire weekend.
He even told it to her this morning again when they made love in the shower and of course she also just had to say it back because how can she not when she also loves him, and now he has another surprise lined up for her. If she didn't know any better, she would have thought that Kai was leaving Russia or something and that he is saying goodbye to everything and everyone in his own secret way, but that is just ridiculous because Kai has said on more than one occasion that he will die on Russian soil and nowhere else, so there is no way Kai is going anywhere.
Maybe he is just grateful for everything and everyone in his life after his close brush with death not too long ago, and that he is only showing everyone important in his life that he cherishes them without actually saying the words.
"Where are we going, my phoenix? I know you said that you wanted to show me something, but what is it?"
Kai says nothing as he just keeps his eyes on the road in front.

Tears are streaming from his eyes while he continues to grip the steering wheel with both of his hands, Tala almost out of his mind right now with both worry and panic.
Tala's eyes are starting to get blurry and he is immediately yanked from his thoughts when he hears the honking of a car in front of him and Tala manages to pull out to the way and missing the oncoming car, but in doing so, he loses control over the truck and skids off of the road and stops in a small bank of snow where he is lightly yanked to the front, but his safety belt keeps him in place and prevents his head from hitting the steering wheel, and fortunately for him, the airbags did not go off which means he was in no danger from the slight swerving off of the road.
At once is Tala's entire body overtaken with uncontrollable sobs, the tears now flowing freely from his eyes and he soon starts to hit the steering wheel with his left fist as he continues to sob like a child.
"Don't do this, Kai, don't do this you selfish bastard! I hate you, Kai Hiwatari, I hate you!" Tala yells as he continues to hit the steering wheel, "Please, Kai, don't do this!"
Tala finally stops hitting the steering wheel and slowly lowers his head on to it in a defeated manner while he continues to sob and cry for Kai, "Don't...don't do this, Kai, please," he says softly as tears continue to flow down his eyes, the letter that Kai had left him lying on the passenger seat and all forgotten for now, but not for the contents inside of it, which is the reason for Tala's current broken state of being.

Mya continues to look out at the beautiful white icy plains in front of her, she still in a state of awe at how such a beauty was hidden from her all this time, but she is glad that Kai has finally shown her this place, even though he took his sweet time in doing so.
The two lovers arrived here not even five minutes ago where they just stood at the edge of the ledge in absolute silence while admiring the view in front of them, it being white as far as the eye can see with all of the snow that covers the plains in front of them.
The last time Kai was here was after Ralph's funeral and it is still as beautiful as always, whether he comes here when it is summer or winter or any other season, this place will always remain one of the most beautiful places he has ever seen.
In summer small streams are running among the green vegetation with animals everywhere, but now it is just snow with a few birds seen flying over them in the sky, two of them diverting away from the group to go and sit in a dead tree near the two lovers.
Kai glances at Mya and he sees how mesmerized she is with the view, his heart breaking when seeing how truly happy she is, and how he is about to rip that happiness away from her, just like the bastard that he truly is.
Kai says nothing and lets go of Mya's hand that he has been holding since they came here, Mya not even questioning where he is going as she continues to look out in front of her.
Kai reaches the truck and gets in to retrieve the things he has put in the glove compartment while Mya was still busy eating breakfast this morning. He takes the SD card in hand and looks in Mya's direction, he seeing that her attention is still on the landscape in front of her and after being certain that she is not focused on him, he also removes his gun from the glove compartment, his heart shattering all over again while he looks down at the black gun because he knows what he is about to do to Mya will be beyond cruel and it will be the worst thing that he has ever done in his life.
He removes the magazine and sees that there are more than enough bullets, but one bullet is all that will be needed to end a life; one bullet to the heart is all that it will take, and he suddenly can't help but scrunch his eyes tight while he increases his grip on the gun, but he knows that there is no turning back from this; this has to be done, it is the only way.
Kai takes one deep breath and finally opens his eyes once more and after gathering enough courage, he gets out of the pickup truck and puts on an expressionless mask on to his face because he has to look like the old Kai if he wants to pull this off, but who knows how long he will be able to keep the mask in place, especially after he will see the betrayal on Mya's face for what he is about to do to her.
Mya hears the crunching on the snow of Kai's boots behind her but she does not turn around to face him, that is until she hears how a gun is cocked, she immediately turning around to see what is going on and she is then met with an expressionless Kai, she also noticing the gun in his hand and she can't help but to wonder what is currently going on.
She meets Kai's eyes and there is no emotion in them and Mya suddenly can't help but to feel slightly on edge because it is as clear as daylight that something is terribly wrong here right now.
"Kai, what is going on, what's with the gun?" Mya asks and she tries her best not to show her sudden nervousness and she keeps her arms crossed in front of her chest in order to try and hide her sudden nervousness.
Kai continues to look at her with no expression on his face and he takes another two steps forward while keeping his hardened eyes on Mya, "Anastasia Grekov," this being all that he says to her with a stern tone of voice while he keeps his eyes on her.
Mya immediately gasps and her arms fall lifelessly to the sides of her body while she keeps her eyes on Kai, it suddenly feeling like her entire world has just come crashing down by hearing her real name coming from his lips, it coming from the man she was set on murdering in the beginning, which means...Kai knows...
'Shit.
And finally we have reached the place where this story began, someone getting, and do you have any guesses on who is going to shoot who? Is Kai going to shoot Mya or will she shoot him, or will Tala arrive in time and shoot Mya before she can shoot Kai? I of course know the answer, lol, but it is nice to play with different scenarios.
The truth will be revealed in the next update which will be the final update, and it is going to be a lengthy one, more than 22 000 because it also contains the epilogue and things had to come to a close in that chapter.
