Read and relax
Whitebeard sat in the meeting room, having a visit from Glen, who was a man he knew and he had some updates about the world. After he had updated about it and they spoke about it, he kept piping in, a bit of an annoyance, but bearable. But as he did it for the 6th time, Ace gave a look, a murderous one, to Glen. "You speak again, and I will put you on fire." Glen swallowed, and nodded, not saying anything. Which was good. Whitebeard knew Ace would hold up that promise. Everything he said was a promise to be done if what he said wasn't followed.
Glenn kept his mouth shut the rest of the meeting, just nodding and shaking his head when they looked at him. He got that Glen was scared of Ace, as most were. When the meeting was over, Ace sent a look at Glen, before he left, heading out of the meeting room. When he was gone, Glen let out a breath. "Oh my God, he is scary. That look he had." Whitebeard nodded. "He can be a bit scary." Glen blinked. "A bit? No no, that was awful. How are you not affected by it?" Trevor hummed. "We're used to him. And, we know not to annoy him. You did." Glen gave a slow nod. "...okay. Can I speak now around him? When we go out?" Trevor hummed. "I don't know. What do you think?" Glen shook his head. "I feel like no." Trevor nodded. "Then go by that. That is the wisest." Glen nodded, and the captain was sure Glen wouldn't dare speak around Ace from now on, unless Ace said something else later on.
The rest of the day went by fine, Glen didn't speak when Ace was around, and Ace seemed okay with that. It was the next day something happened. It was a sunny day, so they had lunch outside, on the second deck. But as lunch was about halfway done, Thatch and a few others started fooling around. Marco had said to not fool around, in case an accident happened. Especially as they were throwing kitchen equipment around. But as they were fooling around, someone threw a pan, and both Thatch and Lance moved to grab it, Thatch being quickest and pushed Lance out of the way, who then, with the extra force, tripped over a pan that had been thrown earlier, and fell over the railing and down to the first deck, landing on his face first. It wasn't the longest drop, but the way he landed seemed to be bad as he yelled out in pain. They then rushed to help and Lance looked bad, at least having broken his arm and his face was smashed a bit on his right side, blood coming from his eye. He really had landed hard.
He was then helped to the infirmary, and as he was, Marco gave a glare to Thatch. "This is why i said to not fool around, yoi!" Thatch nodded, hanging his head. "I know. I'm sorry." Marco sighed, a hand on his face. "Let's just hope he will be fine, yoi." The other out nodded, and they headed to the meeting room and waited for Bay to hear how it was. They needed to handle this and he was sure Bay would be furious. She didn't like when an injury came from fooling around.
It was half an hour later Bay came, and Bay gave a sigh as she closed the door after her. "It is bad, but it could have been worse. He was lucky, seeing the circumstances. 3 broken ribs, 3 fractures in his right arm, a bad concussion, and almost lost his sight on his right eye. It isn't perfect, but he can see." That was bad, but he was at least alive. Bay then gave a breath. "Normally, I would lecture, but I am needed in the infirmary to fix this, so you settle this." Bay then left, and as she did, Trevor hummed. "I vote that Ace handle this. It was his division member." Whitebeard thought that over, before he nodded. "I agree." Ace was good at handling things.
Ace gave a nod, before he let out a loud sigh, looking at Trevor. "Is there any way for me to handle this without raising my voice?" Trevor hummed. "Nope. Ran a few scenarios, and there is not." Ace nodded, before he took a breath and gave a glare to Thatch. "I don't care what you do to put yourself in danger," started Ace, and Whitebeard swallowed, not only feeling an immense Haki, but also something else, a force which forced him down to his seat in a different way than haki, it felt as if the air was heavy, it was pushing him down, and he was sure Thatch would die now, the look Ace had was murderous as he continued, "but, you don't put others in danger! Put yourself in danger, that's on you! Put others in danger, guess what?! It's also on you! What would you have done if they died! Their death would have been on you! And you alone! You could have killed a family member!" Whitebeard had thought he could handle this situation, that he could keep Ace calm and keep him from raising his voice. But now, he just felt scared of Ace, scared of his wrath, and it was just a voice. This was the maddest he had seen Ace, and it was terrifying, he couldn't speak, and he was scared they might actually lose a family member, the look Ace had alone looked like it could kill, and added with that voice, he wouldn't be surprised if someone died, he just hoped it wasn't a family member.
Ace moved his hand as he continued. "You don't know how lucky you got, how lucky no one got terribly injured, it would all be on you, no one would back you up! You would be all alone! So you better get up with an apology to the ones in the infirmary, and it better be good!" Ace then moved to head away, probably to calm down, and his words did seem to make an impact on Thatch, as he stood still, looking to both regret what he had done, and terrified, swallowing when Ace was gone. "Am I- am I still alive?" Trevor nodded. "You are. It's just a voice, it feels like death, even when he yells at others, but it's just a voice. I am hella scared of it, especially when it's directed on me, but just a voice. How do you feel after hearing him raise his voice?" Thatch swallowed. "Aside from the fact I feel I should be dead, as I was sure he would kill me, I feel absolutely terrified." Trevor nodded. "I feel with you, I know the feeling." Whitebeard nodded, looking at Trevor. "But what was that feeling? That wasn't just Haki?" Trevor nodded. "It wasn't. It's an assassin ability, you just know someone will die. No matter how good you are, how tough and strong, when that feeling emanates from Ace, you will falter. Even Mike will falter. Hell, even Ace will falter. It's a rare ability." Whitebeard nodded, and for Mike to falter, who was stronger than Ace as well and seemed to be the epitome of calmness, spoke a lot. And the same for Ace to falter, that had never happened. And he felt it himself, Ace was mad, and that was scary. And it was just a small fluke, so he couldn't imagine how this would have been if it was worse.
"Oh," Stated Trevor. "When he gets really mad, his powers come forth, so if you see smoke, that when you actually run away, as that is hella terrifying, much more than this." Whitebeard nodded,he hoped he would never see that, and he hoped Ace would never raise his voice again. He was sure Thatch would never do anything like this again, and he would keep his distance to Ace a bit, he was sure. He had a feeling most would keep their distance to Ace for a small bit, seeing how mad he had seemed and that feeling he emanated. Marco then headed after Ace, probably to check on him. He was sure Ace was fine, he was maybe just a bit annoyed. They stayed in the meeting room for a bit more, before they left, everyone updating how Lance was. He would heal nicely, his sight might be a bit worse, but he would be fine.

Marco moved to give a small knock on Ace's door, going inside when he heard a come in, walking in to see Ace seeming calm as he sat by his desk, turning to look at him. "How did they take it? Not too terrified I hope." Marco took a breath. "I was, still somewhat am, terrified. The others are too, yoi. You can be really terrifying." Ace gave a chuckle. "I know, I like that people are a bit afraid of me. People should be afraid of me." Marco nodded, people should, Ace was a strong person. Ace hummed. "And the rest won't be afraid for too long, it passes, I would never hurt them." Marco nodded. "I know, yoi. The rest do too. You can just be scary." Ace nodded. "I know. I like that." Marco nodded, he understood that.
They stayed in Ace's room for about an hour, before they headed back out, and Thatch stayed away from Ace for a bit, obviously scared, but it was as Ace said, it would pass. And it did after about 3 days, Thatch got back his confidence and acted as he usually did around Ace. Lance was also out of the infirmary and was doing fine. Which was good.

The next week, a man named Prince came on board, a guy Whitebeard knew and had known for some time. He was a stern person, but he was nice. And, as they were in a meeting, they passed some papers around, and a few laid in the middle, and as they were discussing them, Ace moved to grab a paper and did it just before Prince, almost snatching the paper away from him, which had Prince a bit annoyed and Prince pointed to the window. "If you do that again, I will throw you out that fucking window you- Wait, what are you doing?" Ace had walked over to the window, and shrugged. "Checking how high the drop is, see if it's worth it." Prince stood speechless for a few seconds. "What's wrong with you?" Ace shrugged. "I like to annoy people. So, it might be worth it." The man blinked. "You're insane." Ace shrugged. "Maybe I am. Is that an issue?" The man blinked again. "... I don't think so…" Ace nodded. "Good." Prince nodded as well. "Anyway," He started, before they continued the meeting, which went by fine.
When it was over, Prince stayed for an hour more, before he left. And the day continued normally. When they docked next time, which was a week later, a guy came onto the ship and moved to look at Ace. "Train me!" Ace shook his head. "No, I don't train people. Ask someone else." The guy shook his head. "No, I want the best! I want you!" Ace shrugged. "Too bad." The guy took a breath. "Please, just a bit?" Ace seemed to think, before he gave a nod. "Fine, on one condition, you keep up, you don't fall." The man nodded. "Yeah! Sure! I can d-!" The man didn't get to finish the sentence as Ace had moved to kick him in the face, sending him to the deck with a pained sound. As he was on his way to stand up, Ace had moved over and used his knee to knee him in the face, sending at least 5 teeth flying, blood seeping out of his mouth. He gave a sound of pain, and Ace hummed. "Still want me to train you?" The man gave a nod. "Ye-!" The man didn't get to finish as Ace had moved his foot and kicked him again, sending him flying away, hitting the railing hard, making blood seep from his mouth. Ace crossed his hands. "You couldn't keep up. I'm not training you." The man tried to talk, but only gurgling sounds could be heard. Ace hadn't gone kindly.
Ace then left the deck, and a few from his family helped the man up, before he left limping. He got why Ace didn't want to train someone, Ace might want to help them get better and train with them, but not train someone unknown, someone outside the family, which was understandable.

The next week was uneventful. They had a fight against an enemy crew which they won easily. But as a week had passed and they met another enemy crew, Ace joined, or half joined, in on the battle. But as they were winning, the enemy captain had seen Ace fight and how he seemed to be the worst one he was up against, and had thrown something towards Ace. And as it hit the ground, there was a cloud of black smoke, and he got worried for Ace, as he was inside the cloud and he had no idea what this was. It had to either be a devil fruit or a smoke bomb of a kind. But as the smoke faded, Ace was fine, but… he had grown… ears. Cat ears it looked like, and a tail. Everyone was shocked at that, and as they tried to wind up the battle, the enemy fled, even leaving a few behind as they did. They had been fighting on the moby dick, but now the enemy was gone, but Ace had still the ears and tail.
As the enemy was gone, Ace moved a hand to his head, touching his ears. "What the hell is this?" Whitebeard had no idea what to say, but it looked like Ace was a cat. No one else seemed to have an idea either, Whitebeard had never seen or heard about this. This had to be a devil fruit. As the battle was over, the enemy having ran, and the few left behind were taken prisoners, they headed to the meeting room, to figure out this thing with Ace.
As almost everyone was in the meeting room, many looking at Ace, looking at the twitching ears and tail, Ace obviously not being too happy about this predicament. Whitebeard could understand that; who would be happy about being turned into a half-feline? Ace looked to be a half-cat, having the ears and tail, eyes maybe more cat-like as the pupil was closer to a feline's, the color even being somewhat reddish. After a minute, waiting for the rest, the door opened and Trevor came inside. When Trevor did, he gave a small whistle, looking at Ace. "I had to see this myself. You're actually half cat?!" Ace gave a sigh. "I'm not a half cat. Maybe a quarter at most." Trevor gave a chuckle, walking up to Ace. "You look cute though." Trevor then moved a hand to Ace's ear, scratching. "And your ears are sof-." Trevor cut off as Ace purred, half-leaning into his touch.
Everyone sat shocked, the captain seeing Trevor starting to smile, obviously on his way to say something. But, before Trevor could, Ace moved his hand to have it up and in front of Trevor's face, tensing his hand, and his nails grew, looking more like cat nails; Whitebeard knew that those could be used as a weapon. Trevor seemed to get this himself, holding his hands up and moving to sit down next to Ace, making Ace lower his hand, looking stoic, most likely not liking he had purred, ears twitching. When he was seated the rest came, looking shocked at Ace, and when everyone was seated, Whitebeard looked at Ace. "How did this happen?" Ace gave a sigh. "Stupid guy who had a devil fruit. He made me into a cat." Whitebeard nodded. "How?" Ace sighed, before he said devil fruit. They had seen it, but it was just bizarre, a cloud was suddenly there, before Ace was a feline, or quarter feline as he said, and then the enemy had run. They should have tried to stop him. Ace said he had tried to use Dust to find the man, but his powers were haywire not working properly. That was worrisome.
After Ace had explained what had happened, everyone slowly grasping the idea Ace was half feline for now, Ace stood up and left, giving a quick excuse. As Ace was gone, Trevor gave a hum before anyone could move, getting their attention. "I've heard about this; people being turned into half-animals, Ace becoming a feline, most likely a cat it seems like. This can be bad, as the feline traits will grow." Whitebeard frowned. "What do you mean?" Trevor gave a sigh. "Those I've heard about being in the same predicament, slowly get more and more animal instincts. It can be bad, so just keep an eye on how fast they come, which they will."
Whitebeard nodded. "We will. What should we do if it happens too fast or too much?" Trevor gave a sigh. "Let's hope it won't come to that. We're trying to find the guy who did this, seeing as he can change Ace back." The captain nodded, thinking Trevor, or Ace, had spoken to Daisuke too, getting help in tracking this guy down. Ace's powers didn't work too well now, the feline change interfering. After a minute, just speaking about nothing in particular, Marco stood up and left, maybe heading after Ace.
The captain wondered how the next days would be with Ace as a half, or quarter, feline.
-x-
Marco knocked on Ace's door, knowing Ace was inside it, not too happy about all of this. After getting a sort of "come in" from Ace, Marco went inside the room, seeing Ace curled in the bed, tail and ears twitching. Marco walked up to the bed, sitting down in it. "Hey, yoi." Ace made a small sound at that, sitting up, ears going down against his head, the movement giving away that Ace wasn't happy about this. Marco gave a smile. "It's not too bad, yoi." Ace gave a sigh, moving a hand to his ears. "Stupid ears." Marco gave a chuckle. Cats ears were what often gave away what they felt, meaning Ace couldn't hide his emotions as well. "It doesn't look too bad, yoi." Ace's ears didn't go up at that, only giving a small twitch, before lying down against Ace's head again.
Before Marco could speak again, Ace's ears perked up, Ace looking at him. Marco blinked, sure a thought had Ace react like that. Ace's ears went a bit down again, Ace not liking they gave away what he thought or felt, Ace most likely seeing his shocked look at how Ace suddenly perked up. The ears gave a small twitch to him, going a bit up, one ear still half-lying against his head, the tail swaying as Ace looked at him. "Could… Could you scratch my ears?" Marco gave a chuckle as he nodded, moving a hand to Ace's head, to his left ear. "Of course, yoi." Marco carefully started scratching Ace's ear, making Ace close his eyes, leaning a bit into his touch.
After a few seconds, Marco heard Ace starting to slowly purr, leaning more into the touch, tail swaying happily behind him. Marco was glad to see Ace enjoying himself, purring and leaning into his touch. As Ace leaned more into his hand, Marco started to scratch a bit harder, making Ace's purring grow, mouth opening a bit, tail swaying more. After a few seconds of it, Ace gave a half-moan to his touch, leaning more into it. Marco thought of stopping, but Ace did seem to enjoy this, making him continue. The purring was from the feline side, the other sounds from his human side, them mixing up.
As Marco continued, making Ace make more sounds, tail starting to twitch, Ace soon moved and was straddling him on the bed, having pressed him down into the bed.
Ace was a little bit flustered, eyes hazy as he looked at him, before moving to grab his hand, taking it to his ear again, leaning into his touch as he started to scratch, Ace both purring and making other sounds, closing in on moaning, Ace's hands starting to feel down Marco's body, making him give a groan.
(*)
Marco moved with Ace as he sat up again and helped him undress, before Ace helped him undress, before they moved down to the bed, Ace straddling him. As they were in position, Marco moved a hand to the desk and brought out a bottle of lube, and began to prep Ace, scissoring his fingers, making Ace moan out more. One hand was still on Ace's head, scratching his ear, which had Ace purr and moaning, back arching with his fingers movements. When Ace was prepared enough, he removed his hand, and coated his member, before Ace moved a hand to his member and lined up with his hole, before he sank down on his member, making both moan out.
Ace then started to move up and down, making him moan out with Ace with Ace's movement. They continued for a while, before Marco felt himself nearing his finish, and moved a hand to Ace's member, moving it with his movement, it had Ace moan more out, obviously enjoying himself. When he reached his finish, he managed two more thrusts, which had Ace reach his finish as well. As both had reached their finish, Ace moved to lie down beside him, out of breath. "That felt good." Marco nodded. "It did, yoi." It had been amazing, as all their intimate times were. Marco really enjoyed those.
(*)
As they were done with their activities, they got dressed again before Marco looked at Ace. "How do you feel, yoi?" Ace sighed. "Could have been better. I don't like this." Marco nodded, he got that. "I am sure we will figure this out. We will find that guy." Ace nodded. "He really ran fast." Marco nodded. "Can't Dust find him?" Ace sighed. "I don't think so. This seemed to have messed a bit with my powers. I can't speak to Dust as usual, I can't make him teleport as usual, and he's far away." Marco nodded, that made sense. He moved his hand to Ace's. "This will go fine, yoi." Ace nodded. "I hope so."
They stayed in Ace's room for a bit more, before they headed out and continued their day. Everyone coming to terms with the fact Ace was half, or quarter, cat.
-x-
Whitebeard walked out on deck early in the morning, waking up early as he had gone to bed early last night. It looked to be a good day as the captain couldn't see clouds in the sky, the sun starting to rise in the horizon, creating a mass of beautiful colors. The captain was glad his chair was placed so he could watch the sunrise this beautiful morning. As Whitebeard got to his chair, he stopped and blinked at it, seeing what was on it. On the chair, almost in the middle, laid Ace, asleep.
Ace was curled together, head resting on his arms, legs resting against him as his tail was around the limbs, reaching to his hands, almost as protection. Ears made a small twitch now and then, soft purring, barely audible, came from the sleeping half-feline assassin, having a content expression.
Whitebeard couldn't help but smile, seeing Ace asleep in his chair like that. Trevor had said Ace would get more and more feline traits with time, and the captain knew this was normal for cats; to sleep at random places curled up, places they felt safe. Whitebeard felt glad Ace felt safe in his chair. Whitebeard moved his hand and carefully gave a small stroke with a finger on Ace's back. Ace made small movement, the purring growing a bit higher for a small second, before curling more together, still asleep. Whitebeard gave a chuckle, not wanting to disturb the sleeping assassin. Ace rarely slept when he was himself, so being a half cat might help him sleep more for now.
The captain found himself at a place on the deck, a bit away from his chair, still able to look at the nice sunrise, but also being able to send a look at the sleeping feline assassin in his chair. As time moved by, more and more waking up, coming out on deck, they sent looks at him since he was sitting out on deck, and not in the chair that looked empty. But, when they saw who was in the chair, many got a shocked look, before a smile, seeing Ace still sleeping in it, curled together. A few of his children came and joined him on deck, Marco being one of those. Marco looked glad by seeing Ace asleep, even giving him a caress, making Ace purr out, before curling together. Trevor had grabbed a Kameko Den Den and taken a picture, seeing how cute Ace looked.
When it was closing in on breakfast, the captain having been out for almost two hours, Ace gave a breath and yawn as he stretched, his nails growing as he stretched, showing how long they were now, which was longer than earlier when he had threatened Trevor. After Ace had stretched, he moved down from the chair and walked away, heading towards the galley, not paying much mind to those out.
Whitebeard knew Trevor had said to keep an eye on how fast his feline traits came, so they wouldn't take over the rational thoughts of Ace. But, for now, it didn't seem to be too bad, only cute in a way, showing Ace able to relax more as a half-feline, which was good.
Nothing happened for a few hours after that, but as 3 hours had passed, Whitebeard blinked, not sure what was going on. Ace had just walked out and dropped a dead, and rather large, mouse in front of him, looking at him as if expecting him to do anything, which the captain didn't know what to do with. Ace's ears were out to him, tail swaying and looking at him, sending a look at the mouse now and then, Whitebeard thinking about what he should do, or if he should do anything at all.
As he was thinking of asking what this was, he noticed Trevor, who was at the railing behind Ace, doing some movement. When the captain looked at the assassin, Trevor mouthed 'Thank him!'. Whitebeard wasn't sure why he would thank Ace, but he trusted what Trevor said. Whitebeard looked at Ace, giving a smile. "Thank you, son." That did seem to do the trick. Ace gave a smile, tail swaying happily and ears being up. Ace then went off, looking happy.
When Ace was out of view, Trevor came and took the mouse, looking at it with a look, before looking at him. "As I said before: the feline traits will grow; this is a normal thing for cats to do." Whitebeard frowned. "What does it mean?" He knew cats did things and it meant different things. Trevor gave a chuckle. "This is a gift, and Ace gave it to you since you are someone he apparently looks at with respect, or knows is in charge, to 'please' you basically. Cats do this all the time to their owners."
Whitebeard blinked, not knowing much of cats, or animals generally, so he was glad for Trevor's help. As he understood the words, knowing Ace did it since he respected him, or at least did it since he was the captain and Ace wanted to try and make him happy, had him smiling. Ace showed much more emotions and everything as the half-feline. Trevor shook his head, looking at him amused. "You want to keep the mouse? Bunny won't care if you throw it away; he's just glad you said thank you." Whitebeard gave a nod, "Throw it away. We can't have a dead mouse here." Trevor gave a nod, and threw it over the railing to the sea.
When it was gone, Trevor looked at the captain again. "And, just to mention it. As this gets worse and worse, the feline traits growing, Bunny will start to go into feline moments, and he won't be 'Ace' for that moment; he won't remember it either. And yes, it's normal." Whitebeard nodded, that was something good to know, in case it happened, which he had a feeling it would. "Will this happen again?" Trevor gave a shrug. "Maybe. Most likely, yes, it will. But, it might not be a mouse; it can be anything." Trevor gave a small chuckle, moving to walk away. "Mouse. Of all things. But, at least, it's better than a human body." Trevor seemed to be talking to himself, being amused by Ace's predicament.
Whitebeard gave a small chuckle himself. He wouldn't mind if it happened again, especially now as he knew why Ace did it. But, he hoped it would stay in small critters, not anything else, such as a human body. That would be bad.
When dinner was later as Ace came into the galley, he looked at Trevor. "Please tell me I imagined handing a dead mouse over to Whitebeard." Trevor chuckled. "You didn't. You actually did it. And you were so happy he said thank you." Ace moved to sit down and put his head down in his hands. "I hate this! I want to change back!" He then looked at Trevor. "I can't go handing out dead mice or dead things!" Trevor chuckled. "To your defence, it was cute." Ace gave a bored look to Trevor. "I hate you so much right now." Trevor chuckled again. "I know. We'll change you back. He can't have gotten that far away." Ace nodded. "I hope you're right." Whitebeard got this was hard for Ace, he wasn't himself, which was weird.
Nothing much happened for today, and when the next day came, Ace was out on deck, still not happy about this. Whitebeard sat out on deck, sitting in his chair. It was a sunny day today, them having been lucky and getting good weather the last few days. The captain was a bit worried at seeing how Ace had acted the last day, thinking the feline side was slowly taking over. Seeing how Ace had slept around in places. It was common for Ace to sleep a lot. But, Ace had now brought him a dead mouse, half-dead bird, squirrel, and a seagull. He knew it was a sign that Ace trusted and respected him, bringing the dead animals as a gift, Ace looking really glad when he said "Thank you," making him unable to do anything else.
As they were enjoying the calm day, getting closer to an island they thought of docking at to restock, he noticed Ace coming out on deck, looking happy as ears were up and tail swaying happily, a smile on his face. As Whitebeard was on his way to look how far away they were from the barely visible island in the distance, Ace's ears and tail suddenly perked, Ace looking over the railing, something obviously catching his attention. As the captain was about to ask what he saw, Ace's ears moved to the ocean, listening, claws coming out.
"FISH!" Then Ace was gone, jumping over the railing, a splash soon following.
Everyone was shocked, no idea if what just happened, happened. Just as the captain was about to yell out for someone to help Ace, who still was a devil fruit user even though his powers didn't work correctly, Trevor was suddenly there, running towards the railing as he took his shoes off, before jumping over the railing too, going to get Ace. Everyone was still shocked, and they soon heard water shifting, before Ace and Trevor were on the deck again, Jozu going to help them over the railing.
When they were on the deck, Ace stood up and held a fish up. "I caught the fish!"
The captain blinked, sure this was what Trevor had meant earlier with the feline traits getting bad. Trevor sent a glare at Ace. "Ace! You can't just jump over the railing to get a-. What are you doing?" The first angry sentence was cut off by a shocked voice, seeing as Ace took a bite out of the raw, still moving, and wet fish. Ace looked confused by that, an ear tilted to the left and head slightly tilted.
A second later, Ace spit the fish meat out, coughing.
Trevor gave a sigh. "Welcome back, Bunny." Ace looked up at Trevor shocked, looking at the fish in his hand, before looking at Trevor. "I ate a raw fish?" Trevor lifted an eyebrow at him. "You jumped over the railing to get the fish too. I had to save you." Ace blinked, before closing his eyes and using a hand to massage his face. "Please tell me we are closer to finding the damn guy that can change me back." Trevor gave a sigh. "Trying our best, Bunny." Ace gave a sigh, handling the fish to Trevor. "Try to keep me from drowning until we find him." Trevor gave a half-disgusted look to the fish. "What should I do with this?" Ace shrugged, waving a hand to Trevor. "Don't know, don't care." Then Ace left, seeming to head back to his room.
Trevor gave the fish another look, before throwing it over the railing. When the assassin noticed the captain looking at him, he gave a sigh. "The feline is slowly taking over, which is bad." Whitebeard nodded, he got that. Just the fact Ace jumped over the railing was still a shock to him. "Will this get worse?" Trevor gave a sigh. "It can get worse, we can only hope for a no. I will start to keep watch over him, and you should try the same, especially when he's close to the railing." Whitebeard nodded, he would do that. He would also tell the ones who swam good, like Thatch and Namur, to make sure to be close to Ace if he was by the railing. Whitebeard still couldn't believe Ace just jumped over the railing like that.
The day went by fine and nothing special happened, and when a couple hours had gone by the next day, Whitebeard blinked when he saw Trevor, giving a frown as he was wondering what Trevor was doing. The assassin was holding a fishing rod, the hook off, tying feathers to the end of the line where the hook was supposed to be. There looked to be something like a stone there too, making it have some weight on it. "Trevor," Started the captain, getting the assassin's attention. "What are you doing?" Trevor gave a hum, finishing a knot and letting the line go, making it swing. "You'll see."
Trevor then moved the fishing rod back and threw it forward, making the line go a bit of a distance, landing on the deck with a thud. Trevor then tugged on it a bit, making it move a little bit on the deck, making many of the frown more, not understanding what this was. After a second, Trevor got a smile and started reeling the line in, tugging on it at the same time.
As soon as the first big tug was given to the line, the feathers moving, Ace was suddenly there, trying to pounce on the feathers.
As Trevor reeled the line in, tugging at times, just in time to keep Ace from catching the feathers, making Ace continue to try and pounce on it, hands trying to grab the moving feathers, ears out, tail up and ready to jump at every move the feathers did. Trevor had a big grin, really enjoying this. A few of the pirates out were shocked, looking amused and half-chuckling, but still a bit reluctant to laugh as this was Ace. Thatch was watching it with amazed eyes, maybe planning something like this again, Whitebeard knowing Trevor had asked Thatch for the fishing rod.
As it continued on, Ace trying to catch the feathers that moved, and Trevor tugging the line perfectly to keep Ace from catching it, this was clearly a way to keep Ace preoccupied when he had one of his feline moments. Most likely also for own amusement as Trevor still had a big grin, giving a few laughs now and then. As Ace didn't manage to catch the feathers, he started to give some growls and hisses, clearly not happy, ears moving down on his head and a small snarl on his face, pointy teeth showing, eyes focused. Many had started to chuckle a bit, finding it amusing, but also not liking the almost feral look Ace had.
As the line got more and more reeled in, now only a few feet away, Trevor moving to throw the line the other way to keep this up, Ace made a jump and growl, going for Trevor, seeming to understand it was Trevor that was playing with him.
Trevor gave a shocked sound, trying to avoid the pouncing Ace, but unable to, falling to the ground, Ace on top of him, nails coming out and slashing at Trevor's cheek, making four half-deep cuts that started bleeding. As the deed was done, Ace stood up and walked off, looking a bit pleased with what he did. As Ace walked away, Trevor sat up, laughing, hand going to his cheek to stop the bleeding. "So worth it." Said the assassin amused.
Mika, who was a bit away, shook her head, looking amused, disappointed, and disconcerned for Trevor's well-being, this being something the captain wasn't too surprised by. Trevor was like this. He liked to annoy Ace.
The day then went by fine, and when evening came, Claus came out with a Den Den and said it was someone called Daisuke, and when Trevor asked what it was about, it was that they had found the guy that was the person who had changed Ace. They were a bit away, but would meet, so it would take a day and half to get there as they sailed towards each other. Ace seemed glad to be able to be back to himself. And he didn't see much of Ace the next day, probably not wanting to be out in case he had a feline moment, which he got. When they met up with the ship and where some men from Daisuke were, probably either assassins or informants. When they were close enough, the people on the other boat brought a guy in chains to them and Ace came from around a corner, giving a breath. "Thank God. You!" Ace pointed at the guy in chains. "Change me back, and you might survive. Might." The man swallowed and nodded, before he was let out of the chains and he moved a hand towards Ace. "I need to touch you." Ace frowned. "You do anything, you will die a horrible death." The guy nodded. "I know." Ace then moved closer, and he could see he was on the alert, same with most of those out, even Trevor. The man wouldn't dare to do anything.
When Ace was close enough, the man touched his shoulder, and a small cloud enveloped Ace, and when it faded, Ace was himself again. That was good. Ace was fine. As Ace was fine, the man swallowed. "Can I go now?" Ace hummed, before he snapped his fingers, and Dust appeared, landing on the man's shoulder, startling him, and Ace gave a small wave. "Ta ta." And the man was gone in black smoke. As he was gone, he gave a look to Ace. "What did you do?" Ace hummed. "Sent him to an island he won't like." Whitebeard nodded, having a feeling they wouldn't get more.
For now, things were fine.
And that's the chapter, hope you enjoyed
I know this was a bit short but I hoped it turned out good and made sense
