Hey everybody!
Happy Sunday everyone and as always, thanks for your patience. I had an awesome last few weeks – went on vacation, got some yard work done, and of course got some writing done. It always helps to feel productive and its good to be back with a few more weeks of material prepared. All this to say, weekly updates are back! I don't know for how long, but at least the next three weeks we are good to go and it will be up on Sundays, just like the good old days.

…
"Name the four types of data analysis."
Petra made a face at the question, looking up toward where Levi was seated and nervously making a face as she tried to think of the answer.
She clamped her eyes shut and attempted to concentrate, intimidated by the flat, unimpressed stare Levi was watching her with. "Alright. The four types. There's predictive analysis, diagnostic analysis, uh…prescriptive and…" She gave a groan as she tried to think of the last type, but her mind blanked and stubbornly refused to give her the correct answer. Eventually, she shook her head and waved a hand in defeat, "I don't know. Can't think of the last one."
Before she had even finished speaking, there was a smack to the back of her head and she gave an offended 'Ow!' as Levi leaned back into his chair after his forward assault, continuing to watch her seriously, "Descriptive analysis. Descriptive."
"Easy for you to say," she mumbled under her breath bitterly, "You've got the answers right in front of you."
Regardless her whispered complaints, Levi's expression didn't waver, "That's the fifth one you've gotten wrong in a row now, Petra. I thought you said you've been studying."
She rubbed the back of her head with a sullen glare after the Captain's chiding and responded in an exhausted pout, "I have been, but do you not see how fucking huge that stack of flash cards is? The deck is getting so big that you can hardly hold them all at the same time, and I still have more to make on top of it! I think I've done more studying during these past three weeks alone than I have in the last five years combined!"
From across her room, Eld spoke up, "The whole job review thing is at the end of the week though, right? I know this isn't the 'right' way to handle it, but I'm just saying – if everyone wants to hire you for the work you already did, why go through all this trouble learning the industry when you're clearly a natural?"
"Natural talent only takes you so far." Levi stated softly, perceptively, and Petra nodded toward the Captain and his correct summation.
"Yeah, what he said. I actually asked Erwin that myself, because the sheer level of bookwork he's giving me is unreal and I really thought that the 'material' he'd have me working on would be theoretical exercises or plugging me in with some of the overflow from Hanji's projects, but he insists that I start to build my career with the fundamental basics required of fellow analysts. The way Erwin sees it, natural talent may have gotten me through the door, but discipline and hard work is what will pave the way forward from here on. He worded it kindly, but fact of the matter is that the gas shortage resolution was a bit of a fluke and my skills need to be fortified on every side still."
"Right. So you study like mad, and then you have this big job review thing? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you already had your review with Captain earlier? Couldn't you have just agreed to your new role then?"
Petra had grinned at Eld's words, because what had started as a review that was more for formality's sake than anything, had turned into Petra inching closer toward Levi little by little, eventually sitting up onto his desk and successfully, slowly stripping down one layer after another to reveal yet another fascinating thing she had found to wear for him. At Levi's slack jaw and sudden hesitance, she had told her very flustered Captain to just ignore her and keep going through the review, making a point of teasing him and presenting herself so intentionally as he vaguely slurred his way through pages of data, strengths, opportunities and team statistics as a whole. After fifteen minutes of her intentional sabotaging, where she would turn him away if he so much as tried to reach for her or looked up from his notes for too long, Levi had given an impatient exhale, turned to the last page in his folder and signed off on it with a barely legible, chaotic sort of scribble, declaring 'Review's over' and pulling her into his lap outright.
Revealing none of this, she gave a nod and shrugged, "Review went fine. Honestly, if I do say so myself I think my performance was top notch."
Levi's lip twitched, though he said nothing, and Petra continued factually, "It really was just a formality though, because neither Captain nor the Commander know what jobs the MP's or Garrison will be offering me. The other factions are sending representatives and they'll get here in a few days. On Friday, we'll go over it all and I'll be expected to make a decision by end of day. After I sign off on that, I'll begin training and start the new position likely at the start of the year, but that just depends."
"And so the point of all this studying now?"
Petra sighed at Eld's clear confusion and she explained, "Well, this isn't exactly a well traversed path so not many people can give me the level of guidance that Erwin and Hanji can. We're crunching in what we can now, because in the event I do choose to accept an offer outside of the Scouts, I won't have anyone holding my hand anymore and Erwin's trying to make sure that I'll be successful wherever I go. It's not that I'm underqualified, but its highly likely that the other factions think I have more experience than I actually do. If I stay in the Scouts it's a little less demanding, but if I go to the Garrison or the Military Police, I need to be ready to hit the ground running."
"Which is why we're studying now." Levi cut in flatly, grabbing another flash card and looking at her seriously, "There are eight commonly used types of graphs. Name three."
Petra's eyes widened and she snapped her fingers in memory, "Oh I know this one! Quadratic, Linear, and Rational."
The Captain nodded and set the card aside, "Correct."
The night had continued on, far past curfew – though this time it was Levi himself who continued to drive her to study late into the night, having been grilled by Erwin more than once that he needed to play his part in setting his wife up for success. When they had finally gone to bed for the night, Levi had just stayed in her room with her, both too exhausted to try and initiate any form of intimacy and rather fell asleep almost immediately.
On Petra's writing desk, they had successfully divided her flashcards into two piles - the ones she had gotten correct, and the ones she had still gotten wrong. It had taken a while, but the pile of correct cards finally outweighed it's incorrect counterpart, and that was good enough for him.
The next morning, Petra had woken up in a muted frenzy, clearly fatigued and vaguely stressed out, because she knew Erwin would give her even more reading material and things to study, and while she could balance it and was keeping up with impressive ability, her mental fatigue and exhaustion was notable and Levi couldn't deny that, even though he knew she didn't need the help, he still wanted to intervene where he could.
While perhaps not the best use of the squad's time, after Petra had left for the day to continue her training with Erwin and Hanji, Levi had sent his squad off into town instead, instructing them to buy expensive coffee, some foods Petra liked, and snacks – enough for the whole squad – because Petra needed help studying and if they didn't mind staying up late with her, Petra would enjoy the company and could use the help.
The nights to follow had turned into a sort of giant study hall, the entire squad working together to help prep her and make her upcoming transition as easy as possible. Each day Petra would wake up, train with leadership and have more books and more material assigned to her by day, and by night she'd break it down and study with her friends as they all worked together to get her prepared and organized.
It was undeniably beneficial for Petra, but also for his squad in ways that Levi hadn't expected. A few weeks back, when Petra had told the squad she was officially leaving – for real this time – it hadn't actually come as a surprise to any of them, but it had been an admittedly difficult start to the day. She had confirmed that she'd be spending her time with Erwin and would be permanently off the squad, assuming her job offers went as expected, and the air had been thick with a bittersweet discomfort as they each processed the news that times were changing, and Petra was moving onto bigger and better things in her career path. There were some laughs, hugs, and congratulations exchanged, and in a true to Petra fashion, the ginger had been reduced to tears in a matter of minutes.
Also like Petra however, it wasn't long before she wiped her eyes with a determined sniffle, stating that she needed to get going because Erwin hadn't been told yet, and she waved toward her squad as she got up and prepared to leave for the day. She had paused in front of Levi, giving him a soft smile and a 'Thanks Captain, for everything.'
He had only been able to muster a soft nod, though Petra hadn't found his silence to be cold or offensive; rather smiling at his conflicted expression as she tried to clear her mind in preparation for her upcoming talk with Erwin. She took a breath and continued out of the room without so much as a pause in step or glance over her shoulder.
Levi had watched her go, until he couldn't see her anymore, and even though he had long come to peace with Petra's decision, having known for months it was only a matter of time, even still…letting her go had been more difficult than he had expected.
The days to follow had been sluggish and somewhat unproductive. His squad was…grieving in some ways, and while a part of Levi wanted to try and give his team some sort of pep talk or see the squad's usual energy levels return – he himself was also struggling with the adjustment and figured that giving his squad, and himself, a bit of leeway for the time being wasn't too much to ask.
Even though Petra hadn't been actively involved with the squad for almost three full months now, it was because of her ankle, her vacation, the projects Erwin assigned to her – they all knew she'd be coming back. Now though, the formations were having to be reworked, because they were now a four-man squad again and they knew that this time, it wasn't temporary. Morning drills felt longer, training in formations where there was no room for a fifth position only rubbed salt in the wound, and everyone was notably quiet and reserved as they each came to terms with the changes in their own ways day by day.
Perhaps that was why his squad was so enthusiastic about Petra's study sessions each night and why they stayed up with her with an overwhelming eagerness to help - it was the squad's last and final hurrah, before the paperwork was signed and before she had to leave for a new campus or report to a new squad entirely. They'd laugh, spend hours making flashcards, give her timed tests and tease her if she got a bad score, note subjects she was strong at versus weak, and strategically keep her on task by bribing her with snacks and expensive coffee.
Eventually, the group would break late for the night, and Levi would follow Petra back to her room. He'd review a few more flashcards with her – not so coincidently the ones she struggled with the most, because Levi noticed that she had a peculiar habit of retaining those last-minute cards in attempts to please him. They'd go to bed late into the night; collapse on her bed in complete exhaustion because the process of getting her prepared was grueling, and after multiple days of this lineup, regardless his exhaustion, Levi found himself giving a slight smile and pulling Petra closer against him while she slept.
He wasn't sure if it was Petra's request to move into his room that had done it, or if it was merely a matter of convenience after such a long night of studying with her since the alternative was going back to his room alone, but in truth, Levi was pleased by their recent change.
When they had first returned from vacation, Petra's rehabilitation had come first, the Expedition's groundwork was already underway, and they hadn't known any other way of balancing their roles as husband and wife versus active members of the military, other than separating the two entirely in favor of duty and discipline. Even now, Levi couldn't bring himself to regret their approach, because it had been a hectic timeframe and neither of them had any previous experience in balancing a relationship and work at the same time – but as a natural result, Levi hadn't slept with Petra at his side for more than two or three days at a time, and he had undoubtedly longed for the comfort that came with his wife staying alongside him without the need for her to run back to her room the next night.
Now though, without question or need to clarify, they were intentionally sharing the same bed night after night, and frankly…Levi saw no reason why that ever needed to change. Petra would move in with him, and soon.
That thought alone sent a peaceful, accepting sort of lull through him, and Levi fell asleep not much later than Petra.
All would be well, soon.
…
…
"Petra, come on."
Levi had given her a slight nudge, and the ginger gave a barely awake mumble and clutched her blankets stubbornly, "No…no more flash cards Eld, I don't care how good the coffee is."
Levi had smirked and nudged her again, "Oi, wake up. Your job offer is today and you can't be late."
Petra still seemed somewhat delirious and she slowly opened her eyes, "Job offer? Is it…is it at least multiple choice?"
Levi negated to respond, and a second later Petra shot out of bed, "The job offer! Shit!"
Blankets were flying into the air as Petra was all but jumping around him in attempts to get off the bed, and Levi grabbed her wrist before she tore across the room in a frenzy, "Petra, it's not for another two hours. You think I'd let you be late to something like this? I figured you'd want a few hours to wake up and be ready before the big event – there's no need to rush, okay?"
Levi tugged her again, back onto the bed, and Petra gave a tense nod as she accepted the information, slowly coming to terms with the fact that she was suddenly awake, but thankfully was not pressed for time regarding her upcoming meeting with the faction representatives.
When Petra gave a yawn and sat back into the bed, more content to just allow herself to wake up naturally, Levi had placed his hand on her shoulders, his fingers grazing down her back as he lifted her shirt from off her and traced his fingers over her skin.
Petra gave a soft hum as his fingertips glided down her back in soft, mindless patterns, and after a few moments he spoke again, "How are you feeling about today – you nervous?"
She considered his question and eventually sighed, stretching her arms up over her head and rolling her shoulders as Levi's soft and gentle touches made her mind fog back over with a sudden desire to fall back asleep. She shrugged, "Maybe a little? We've been preparing for this for a long time now but even still, some part of me is still unsure of what to expect. I guess I won't really know how I feel until I have the job offers laid out in front of me."
Levi nodded, leaning toward her and pressing his lips against the nape of her neck, smirking when Petra gave a contented sigh and fell back into him. She rolled her back against him, changing her angle so she was able to look up at him as she spoke, "I can't imagine either faction will be able to give a better offer than Erwin though. I get there are pros and cons with everything, but even still, Erwin knows me, knows my exact skill level, I like working with him – as much as he pisses me off – and what's more, you're here."
Petra's change of angle had presented her newly topless state to him more directly, and Levi drank in the sight, nodding as she spoke and softly running the backs of his fingers against the rise of her chest. He hummed at her words and allowed his fingers to trace down her sides and over her hips, "Yeah, I am here. And I'll be here, anytime. I won't deny that some things will be easier if you decide to stay in the Scouts, but if the other factions have something lined out for you that you're legitimately interested in, there's no shame in that."
Petra looked up at him and stretched her neck up, pressing her lips against his neck and smiling warmly against his skin, "Is it a problem if the only thing I'm interested in right now, is you moving your hands just a little bit lower?"
Levi had made a low sound, sudden anticipation building with his every touch as he worked the band of her underwear down her silky skin, "I distract you that much?"
Petra pulled her arms around the back of his neck and watched him with a soft blush, "Is that a problem? We have time, right?"
Levi could only smirk, "Why the hell do you think I got you up this early in the first place? Sure I don't want you to be late, but we've been so busy studying that even though I've been here all week, we haven't done shit. If it's all the same with you, I'd like to fuck my wife at least once this week."
Petra smiled, "I'd like that, Captain. Don't take this the wrong way, but I could really use the distraction."
And as much as Levi would have liked to pretend his reasons had been purely carnal or selfish, fact of the matter was, he knew her words weren't a lie or exaggeration. Petra wasn't one who could gracefully be put on the spot, and knowing she was setting herself up for a meeting of on the spot surprises and offers and questions – she was hiding it as best as she was able, but Levi knew full well she was nervous as hell.
Yes, she could use the distraction, and Levi was more than happy to serve as her means to an end.
…
…
"All due respect, but Mrs. Ackerman's talents would be all but wasted in the Scout Regiment. Considering the sort of work the Scouts do, I'll be the first to admit that naturally Humanity's Strongest is a good fit to be sure, but I have to wonder if Humanity's Angel can actually reach her full potential in such an environment. I'm sure you'd all agree that we need to set the military, and in turn, humanity itself up for success - and that can only happen when we look at things from a practical standpoint."
Petra watched the man evenly, and after a moment of silence, Erwin nodded toward the man simply, "Be careful, Nile, because it seems to me that you are suggesting that Mrs. Ackerman not have a say in her future career."
"Not at all, Erwin." The officer responded with a quirked eyebrow, "I'm aware that this choice is fully up to her, but I'm merely laying out the undeniable truth that her choice will impact both the military and civilians alike, so I'd like that factor to be considered when the papers are all signed at the end of the day."
"I understand. And you seem to feel that Petra would be better suited under your care, within the Military Police?"
Nile gave a single nod, "I do. That being said, I want to state upfront that I understand that she is married to Captain Levi, and I want to be respectful of that bond. Rest assured we have already made plans to ensure that times will be frequently granted for her to stay here at the Scout's barracks – assuming you have no problem with that Commander Erwin – and that Captain Levi will also be welcomed within our facilities as those extended times arrive. I know the Scout's headquarters and the Military Police's headquarters aren't exactly considered close, but please note that we are prepared to do everything in our power to ensure there is generous flexibility regarding their relationship."
Petra had given a quiet sigh as the dialogue continued, carefully taking a glance to the side toward Levi, attempting to get a better gauge of how she should be presenting herself of what ways she should behave while the Commanders of each regiment continued speaking back and forth, sometimes to each other, other times to her directly, and on the whole trying to present their job offers with clever words and witty explanations as to why their faction was the obvious choice for someone in her position.
When she had first arrived at the designated room where the representatives were waiting, Petra had taken a glance through the small window in the door and her eyes had widened at once because much to her surprise, she actually recognized who the representatives were. The so called 'representatives' were actually the Commanders of each of the regiments, along with a handful of other people she didn't know – likely other officers or higher ups, and at once Petra had actually turned around in a knee jerk, scrambling reaction.
Levi had frowned, already grabbing her arm as Petra gave a horrified shake of her head and tried to push past him, "No. No you said it was representatives! People, normal people like me!"
"They are normal people." Levi bit out in a quiet hiss as he struggled to detain her without making a scene, "We knew you wouldn't have agreed to the meeting if we had been upfront about it, but it's not exactly like we can just tell the other Commanders that they aren't welcome on the premises - it's still military property. Petra, you're doing this."
The ginger clearly wasn't convinced and she was still pulling at his fingers, just as set on running away from the meeting entirely as she watched him with wide eyes, "Like hell I am! I won't even know what to say to them and they are so important and…just…maybe tell them that I'm not interested? Oh, tell them I'm pregnant!"
"You're not pregnant, Petra."
"They don't know that though! It could work!" she wailed dramatically, and Levi groaned.
"You're such a pain in the ass, woman. Look, you won't even have to talk much – just let Erwin handle the diplomacy and all you have to do is listen to what they say. I'll be in the room, Hanji's there too, Mike is also there, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that Erwin is leading the whole damn spiel. Now shut the hell up, because if I have to sit through these pompous meetings every quarter, you can at least sit through one."
With that, Levi used his free arm and had opened the door. Petra had stiffened, nervously being pulled through the doorway as everyone in the room noticed their clumsy entrance, and Levi kept his grip on her, still not convinced she wouldn't try to make a run for it, and he walked beside her step for step as they moved toward their table and sat down. He intentionally placed her between himself and Erwin, because if Petra wanted to bolt now, she'd have no other option but to slide out on top of the table and he doubted she'd be so desperate as to make such a scene.
Even still, he was ready for it, just in case she tried.
They had been talking back and forth for a few hours now, where Erwin had given a rough synopsis of the gas shortage, a few questions were asked, various pages of data were reviewed and passed between the Commanders, and then the Garrison had been given the opportunity to take the first shot – explaining the desired position they were hoping she would fill. It had created a long line of dialogue and debate between the various representing groups. Sometimes Hanji or Mike would cut in, other times Commander Nile or Pixis would have something to say, and then they collectively move on or plan to 'circle back' to a point they couldn't quite see eye to eye.
Where they were now, Commander Nile was still in the middle of his initial job pitch, explaining some of the general reasons behind why she should choose to work with them, because it seemed he knew full well that his faction was at a significant disadvantage, considering the distance between the factions but more specifically, just who it was that Petra was married to.
Nile paused and flipped through a few papers, "As for why Humanity's Angel should join the Military Police – I know I've said it before, but even still I feel that should be obvious. Mrs. Ackerman has a keen eye for inefficiencies and areas that have fallen to the wayside; a prime example being the use of our previous resources during the peak of the gas shortage. Ideally, we'd like to provide her with invoices for the Military Police's materials, our policies and procedures regarding the justice system – areas where her critical mind would be best put to use to sort out where the faction has gone wrong and ways to be more productive and efficient. In a place like the Scout Regiment, your operations are so specific and specialized that her skillset would be wasted there. Her findings would impact just your small group alone, and while I know that it would be a far cry from the life she's built here in the Scouts, we all need to make the best choice for Humanity."
The man looked to Petra and nodded, "To be frank, I know full that you are a true Scout at heart, Mrs. Petra and that loyalty is a very precious thing that can't be swayed. Even still, I would challenge you to look past your comfort zone and realize that you truly can make a difference – not just for a few supplies or a few teams, but for the entire military and the people it protects. The Scouts are a small faction, with limited data that isn't consistent due to the faction's high mortality rate. You could make a much bigger influence with the resources and data of the Military Police and we'd love to have you. Again, I can state with confidence that we will strive hard to make sure that you feel welcome, and that your husband is welcomed as well."
"See that's a funny take Nile," Commander Pixis spoke up and looked at Nile with a large grin, then toward Erwin with a smirk, "Considering your group is just as small and specialized as the Scouts themselves. Look Mrs. Ackerman, true to Nile's point, if its data you're after, then look no further than the Garrison. We have stations and outposts spread throughout every district. We have an outpost less than an hour away from this very spot that you could report to, and I also understand that your father lives only two miles away from another one of our facilities. In looking at records, it seems you have only been able to visit him once every few years? In terms of flexibility, we can give you a workable freedom that neither Regiment can provide to you. You could work near our local outpost, change your location to visit your father anytime you wanted, then later move to a different outpost entirely if you needed to see information with your own two eyes."
There was a pause, and Pixis looked toward Petra directly, "What are your thoughts about that, Mrs. Ackerman? I'm not asking you to make a final judgement call, but perhaps just let me know if we're on the right track." Pixis allowed his expression to soften, and he chuckled at the clearly nervous expression that had come to her face after being called out to directly, "The way I see it, with my team you'd have access to the widest pool of data the military has to offer, you'd be free to travel, have a flexible working schedule where you'd still be able to see your husband every day if you so chose - the job would never get old and there would always be something fresh to keep you busy."
"But of course," It was Nile that spoke next, and Petra's attention shifted back to the younger man as he continued, "We would be remiss to not remind you that there are natural perks that come with a position in the Military Police. While of course all of the military factions are important, our unit alone functions to service the Royal Government directly. In a place like the Scouts or Garrison, your research might take years to see true implementation. There is a lot of red tape, different hands to go through, and in the case of the Garrison, in such a large unit the downside is that it can be difficult to mobilize changes overnight, even if there's data to support it. Like Pixis however, I'll admit that I'm also curious on your initial thoughts, Mrs. Ackerman. How would you feel about such a position? Is it plausible for you? I'd like to make it clear that we are very interested in your abilities, so if there is something more that we can provide for you, we are very open to negotiations."
It had taken her a moment to notice, but as she tried to think of how she wanted to respond, it occurred to her after a few moments of silence that all eyes were on her, because apparently they were all curious if their offers were effective or not, or if her first impression of such a position was appealing.
She looked toward Levi again, who was staring back at her flatly, then to Erwin, who gave a small smile and a nod of his head, confirming that, yes, she needed to say something.
"I uh…" She cleared her throat, feeling like her heart was going to pound straight out of her chest because she hadn't so much as had time to look over the numbers of her typed out job responsibilities – rather had only sat through a two hour debate between the faction leads and that wasn't exactly helpful when it came to her making a decision. "Well you see, I think that…"
Her voice trailed off again and she took a decided breath, speaking more clearly as her voice rang across the room – loud enough to be heard but still audibly uncertain, "I think I need an audience, with uh, the Scouts leadership. For just a moment. If, well, I mean if that's okay."
From beside her, Erwin blinked and responded softly, "Petra? You want to talk privately? Right now?"
She gave a nod, turning toward him and almost whispering back in heightened dismay, because there were sudden looks of confusion and irritation at her unorthodox request, "Yeah. Just the hall or something. I'm really sorry if I'm making you look bad by doing this, but I'm getting nervous and this is a lot of pressure all at once and I just…need some air or something. I was expecting a few folders to look through, maybe some numbers or some contracts, but there are all these people and this whole thing feels like some sort of interrogation - I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. I'm sorry. You both grilled me for months and I should have been better prepared but-"
Hearing her explanation and the way she was rambling in obvious nervousness, Erwin gave a reassuring, small nod, "Petra. Don't worry about it. I'll follow you, okay? We can take as long as you need."
Petra took a calming breath as she gave a weak smile of gratitude, sliding past Levi as Erwin followed after her, and as Levi moved toward them, no more than a single step away from the table that they had been stationed at, Petra frowned and shook her head, "Uh, Captain…just Erwin, if you don't mind."
The look across his face, a mix of surprise and offense, had been impossible to miss, and even Erwin seemed to stall in place at her request, clearly not expecting Petra to dismiss her husband in such a public manner, even if her voice was hushed.
"Please Levi, just stay here. I want to talk with him alone, as the Commander. It'll just be a few minutes."
Levi's lips tightened into a thin line, and he gave a single nod to confirm that yes, he would respect her wishes, but no, he was not happy about it.
Knowing nothing could be done about her husband's clear disapproval, Petra gave him an apologetic frown and moved towards the hallway, ignoring the whispers and stares that followed behind her every step of the way.
…
End of Chapter
...
Alright real talk, I think we've got about four more chapters, maybe five left at this point? Its so surreal to me that after what, almost twoish (going on three) years, this piece REALLY is coming to an end. I remember writing up notes back in the day where I had assumed this story would wind up being about fifty or sixty chapters? Oh hindsight, such a hilarious, evil thing.
When this piece is done, I will prioritize finishing the other half to Always At Night – because if I try to write that one now, I'll probably get neither accomplished. Once that piece is completed, honestly I'll somewhat disappear for a while after that. I may write up a few one shots here and there - and I'm not trying to self promote, but if you're interested in keeping tabs with my work, be sure to hit that author alert button because I'm not sure when I'll post my next piece that will have more depth and a well thought out plot line like this piece had.
I'm already working on my next big project (more Levi and Petra of course!), but I don't want to officially post chapter one until I've got a good chunk of material already written out, as you all have now been along for the journey of 'hey Im kinda running out of material' and yeah, it sucks. No judgement to those who update at sporadic intervals, but as a reader myself, I hate the not knowing and much prefer a consistent schedule with updates. If at all possible, I do want to try and be consistent and honestly after two years of this piece, I'm pleased that for the most part, this story ran like clockwork.
If I had to guess for my next project, I'm thinking we're looking at a late summer launch date? Legit no idea. Thus the whole alert recommendation.
Until then though, this piece has my complete focus where I'm not writing out anything else, and with any luck, the last handful of chapters will be posted in its entirety in about a months time. Huge thank you for all the support, comments, favs follows and those who have seriously been around with me for literal years. Yall make this the best community and I appreciate the partnership more than you know!
See you guys next week! (Feels great to say that again!)
