It was a Tuesday Night in Canterlot. A Snowy one if you will. Fitting for the time of the year. Just in the middle of the Holiday Season. As Canterlot was decked out with Christmas decorations around the city.

But nothing was grander than Canterlot's Annual Christmas Tree. A Tall and big coniferous tree that was about already decorated with ornaments. As a huge crowd congregated around it with pure bliss and whatnot.

There were many familiar faces standing around the giant tree. Like Sugarbelle and her family, as they stood around the tree. Quite giddy during this time of year. As everyone else was.

Or Ms. Harshwhinny and her husband. A tall man with grey hair. In a warm clad of a winter trench coat over a suit. While Harshwyhinny wore something similar in a red trench coat over a sweater and leggings.

Even a lot of the students from Lodestar and Crystal Prep Students were present with their families.

Rarity is one of them of course. She was with her family.

Her father: Hondo "Magnum" Flakes. A former football player and current businessman is a tall and bulky man with brown hair and a noticeable brown bushy mustache. Wearing a clad of a black trenchcoat over a black suit combo.

Her Mother, Cookie Crumbles. Sometimes referred to as her Nickname "Betty". A businesswoman herself is a beautiful woman with a purple perm. As she wore a clad of a beige trenchcoat and leggings.

Finally, there was her little sister: Sweetie Belle. A Little Girl around the age of 8 with curly purple and pink hair. Wearing a pretty cozy winter clad like the rest of her family.

Or Maybe even Fluttershy and her family. Her father was a middle-aged man with snow-white hair and a bushy mustache of the same colour. While her mother was a woman with red perm and cat-eye-shaped glasses. And of course her little brother, younger by two years. The tallest of his family with blonde hair, basically towering over the rest of his family at 5'8.

Of course, we couldn't count out the people who had brought the tree in the first place: Sunspot, Night Light, Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. The four who had gone on that journey to grab the perfect tree and of course they were with their families.

So that being said, The Royals were in attendance in this special event. As Shining Armor was taking pictures with his wife Princess Cadence. All while Queen Celestia and Princess Luna were standing in front of the tree, coordinating the countdown.

The crowd erupted in cheers as the tree lit up oh so brightly. Engulfed in glowing vibrancy. As the tall tree stood nearly as tall as a three-story building. So likewise it was bound to catch a lot of eyes of many passing by.

Many citizens had presents in hand which they threw towards the tree as those presents went to charity and other non-profit organizations all over the world for the children.

"This Night Rocks!" Rainbow Dash beamed in excitement.

"You're telling me, Dashie!" Pinkie Pie responded, preparing for this party was the most exciting thing EVER!"

Lodestar was opened that night, as it was nearer to the tree than Crystal Prep. The school was offering a little get-together for everyone. Just for a way to mellow out the excitement of the night.

A lot of the parents were also in the auditorium with the students. As they all caught up with each other and whatnot. But for the most part, it was just the students.

Sunset and her friends were of course some of the notable students in the auditorium. Though the place was supposed to be reserved for Play rehearsals. Mrs. Starscorder supposed that the place could be used as a place to hold a program.

"Man, I love this time of year," Twilight beamed with joy, "The ambiance is just so enjoyable this time of year."

"Plus the peppermint!" Pinkie Pie added.

Twilight giggled, "Yes Pinkie, and the peppermint."

Sunflower looked around, amazed by the sights around her. How packed the large auditorium was. And to top it off all the holiday-themed decorations and whatnot. It was a truly spectacular scene for her.

"Wow, so this' whut y'all Christmas's are like?"

"Sure is, Sugarcube," Applejack responded, "It takes a little gettin' used to with all the wildness and whutnot. But this' do be a pretty fun time of year."

Sunset turned to glance at Adagio and her group. As they had also decided to come along and see the festivities in person. "How about you guys? How are you all taking all of this in?"

Adagio, Sonata, Aria, Ember, Smolder and Spike all wore some winter attire.

"Yes, I'm finding all of this rather enjoyable." Said Ember, "The food, the activities, this'll definitely be a memorable night for us."

Aria rolled her eyes, mumbling to herself, "There's an annoyingly huge emphasis on red. I'll say that much."

"This is so awesome," Smolder exclaimed, "I've already met new people. And I've already stocked up on tons of candy." She then showed off a pillowcase full of Christmas-themed candy and other treats. "See..."

"That's...really something that's more reserved for Halloween..." Rainbow Dash said, "But hey, I'll give you brownie points for scoring so much."

Adagio sighed, "Yes I suppose all of this is rather nice." She then annoyingly groaned, "But, it would've been nicer had somebody actually came with us to this event!"

They all widened their eyes a little. As they made the connection that she was talking about a certain blue-headed teenager.

"Oh..." Fluttershy tilted her head, "So he didn't..."

Adagio rolled her eyes, as she was wiping some spit up off of Spike's lips. "I asked him literally this afternoon...but this is what he had to say:

Flash shook his head, glancing at Adagio stoically. Clearly uninterested by what she was suggesting, "I don't have time for that, I have to study."

She sighed in an annoyed tone, "I swear that's his response to everything: 'I have to study...' You know, for someone who's always dubbed a prankster the guy acts a far cry from that title."

"Y-You'd sort of have to be here earlier to understand us..." Twilight nervously giggled, "No offence, but what you're saying is kinda hard to believe. I mean Sentry studying!? That's something I'm still trying to wrap my head around."

Adagio chuckled to that, "I know, I know. But even still, he is pretty smart so I guess all that studying does pay-off for him in the long run." She again rolled her eyes, "Wish he wasn't such a stubborn world-class square though.."

"Eh, forget him!" Rainbow Dash said, flapping her hands. "This is an opportunity to explore the area and have fun. So, who cares about Sentry."

"Well...I guess you're right." Adagio sighed, "I just wish the guy who took us in would do a better job of helping us get acquainted..."

Just in the distance stood Soarin'. One of Lodestar High's top athletes. He was with his friend, though this whole time he had his eyes glued on that particular Rainbow Maned teenager trying to lighten Adagio's mood.

"So..."

Soarin' widened his eyes, as he glanced at his friend Curl Winds. Arching his eyebrow, "So what?"

"Come on man, I'm not stupid." He chuckled, giving his shoulder a little nudge, "I know you have a thing for ol' Dashie over there!"

Soarin' scowled at his friend, getting a little defensive, "WHAT?"

Curly Winds' chuckled, putting his hands up. "Hey don't get mad at me man. You're the one who calls her that."

"I-..." He sighed, massaging the temples of his head, "Look, what if she doesn't see me that way? If I go up to her and ask her out I'm gonna look like an idiot without taking things into account!"

Curly Winds looked at Soarin' dumbfoundedly. Sighing and putting his head down in disappointment, "Oh...Oh Soarin', you cannot be serious. Oh my gosh..."

"What?" Soarin' densely shrugged.

"I...You..." Curly Winds sighed, "J-Just good luck..." He walked away, attending to the company of his other friends.

"Wait!" Soarin' called out. Though by now he was gone and had left the athletic teen in the dust. "W-What does he mean by that? Is there something I'm missing here?" He nervously gulped, "Guess I'll have to find out..."

He walked over to Rainbow Dash a little hesitantly. Unsure of whether or not this was the right move or not. Likewise, he had to figure that out for himself.

Rainbow Dash and her friends were still preoccupied with their respective conversations. That was until Soarin' reluctantly walked over and called for her attention.

"H-Hey Rainbow Dash..."

Rainbow Dash immediately widened her eyes and flushed red. Recognizing Soarin's voice instantly.

"Hey Cuz," Sunset said with a smug smirk, "What brings you here?"

"Um...Well, I wanted to talk to Rainbow Dash but uh..." He blushed, "Well maybe you guys are busy I'll...I'll come back-"

"NO!" Rainbow Dash blurted randomly. Causing Soarin's eyes to widen, as she backtracked, "I mean...I-I can talk, right now. If-If you want..."

Her friends were doing their best to contain their laughter. Meanwhile, Adagio looked on with a sly smirk.

"Um...Well then do you think we could maybe talk in private then?"

Rainbow Dash's heart was just pounding at that point. Becoming more and more flustered. As if her knees were about to melt to jelly or something. But she unreluctantly agreed, "S-Sure..."

The two walked away from the crowd and exited the auditorium. Where Soarin' thought it'd be safe for them to talk.

The two stood there, both flustered as ever. As Soarin' was somewhat hesitating with what he wanted to say. He nervously gulped, opening his mouth to speak...

*Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep*

Suddenly the auditorium's speakers were interjected and replaced with a single repeating beep. Catching everyone's attention to the abrupt end of that music.

Mrs. Starscorder widened her eyes, as she too was caught off guard by that. "What just happened."

Then suddenly, the speakers began to screech erratically. Stunning everyone even more, as they all screamed and groaned. Covering their ears.

That was what interjected Soarin' as he was about to say something. As that noise drew his and Rainbow Dash's attention back into the auditorium. Where they turned to look at the open door.

Before it completely shut on them!

*SLAM!*

Now everyone in the auditorium became weary. Along with that, Spike already began to cry from all of this. As of course this all was scaring the infant Dragon.

"What's going on!" Ember demanded. As many students and parents began to talk amongst each other about what indeed was happening around them.

Soarin' and Rainbow Dash widened their eyes to that door suddenly being shut on them. As that interrupted their entire 'would-be' conversation...

"Uh...What was that?" Rainbow Dash asked as she went to open the door. She was shocked to find that it was locked shut. Unable to be pulled or pushed opened, "Hey! It's stuck!"

"Here let me try..." Soarin' got into position to try to open it as well. Though failing to push or pull it open. As he groaned trying to do either.

Mrs. Starscorder got onto the stage, trying to get to the microphone, she attempted to turn it on. But the tool wouldn't comply as it failed to reciprocate on the speakers.

So she had to rely on shouting.

"People! PEOPLE!" She said managing to grab their attention, "I'm sure that whatever is going on. It's nothing more than technical difficulties. And that we should-"

*Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep*

The beeping came back onto the sound system, this time continuing instead of stopping.

Sunspot who was also in the room commented wearily. "Where is that sound coming from?"

Then, things took a massive turn!

Suddenly, loud techno music began to blast onto the speakers. Startling everyone!

Adagio looked to her group. Where they already felt pretty weary of the situation. Seeing how everyone's attention was averted towards the loud unexpected music. They found it appropriate now to slip away. All using their super speed. As they flickered for a moment before disappearing. Sensing something bad was about to happen.

And boy were they right...

Suddenly, the room was filled with stink bombs. As they began to come in from the top of the auditorium.

The masses all groaned in disgust, plugging their noses and holding in their breaths in light of that. As some of them screamed "Stink Bombs".

Suddenly, flashing green and yellow lights engulfed the entire room. As the music got intense by the minute! And all of it was happening so fast that nobody had any time to figure out what was going on. They were all just screaming and running around.

Then, things cranked up more. Because paint that seemingly hung from above. Up in the rafters without the drama teacher or any of the students noticing. Were dumped onto all of the students. Coincidentally green and yellow coloured. Splashing and vandalizing the place. Getting it all over the students, teachers and the parents.

Soarin' and Rainbow Dash were definitely worried now. As they were trying to kick their way into the auditorium to see what was going on.

"What the heck is going on there!" Soarin' demanded. As he tries to knock down the door with his strength, though failing to do so...

"I don't know but it sounds wild in there!" Rainbow Dash added, helping him as well.

Everyone was screaming and running around panicking. Trying to grasp what was going on and trying to get a hold of each other.

Then to finally culminate the entire display of chaos. The sprinklers and fire alarm were set off. As it began to rain down with water droplets. Mixing with all the paint to make the floor even messier! As it only fueled the fire of absolute chaos in the auditorium.

Before everything finally came to an abrupt stop.

Soarin' and Rainbow Dash finally pushed through and opened the doors. Managing to make their way into the auditorium.

The two all widened their eyes. As they saw everyone covered in wet paint. All smelling awful by this point. As the two both plugged their nose.

"What the heck happened in here!?" Rainbow Dash groaned.

Soarin' widened his eyes. As this entire scene rather looked familiar to him, "Oh no..."

"What?"

He reluctantly turned his head to Rainbow Dash, telling her his suspicion, "You don't think..."

Rainbow Dash caught on eventually. As she was present for what he was alluding to, "No...No there's no way. He couldn't have..."

"Believe it!" An outside voice sneered.

They both turned to glance at Astro Borealis. Who like the rest, was covered in green and yellow paint. As he had the most livid expression on his face, "There's only one bastard sick and twisted enough to pull something like this."

*Knock**Knock**Knock*

Flash widened his eyes a little. As he heard a knock on his door. No doubt being Adagio and the rest.

He got up from his chair. Walking out of his bedroom to the living room. Making his way to the front door. "You guys are back already?" He opened the door, letting in all of the Dragons, "I thought that program or whatever lasted longer than an hour."

"Well...yeah kinda..." Adagio made her way in. Handing Spike over to the Saiyan. Who by now had calmed down and was in a good mood. As he grinned and reached for Flash's face.

"Da-Da!"

Flash sighed, as he still found it a little awkward for Spike to be addressing him like that. Likewise, just letting it roll because in all honesty. He didn't mind the name as much anymore. "Yeah, whatever makes you happy kid-Then why are you all back so early? Didn't you all want to go there in the first place?"

"Uh-well we sort of changed our minds and beelined home..." Ember said as she and the rest made their way.

"We kinda had a bad feeling of things and just left."

Flash arched his eyebrow, "What do you mean?"

"W-We'll talk in the morning. I-I'm just tired..." Adagio headed for his bedroom. With that, the rest of the Dragons called it a night as well. As they all headed for their usual sleeping spots.

Flash just stood there. Dazed as he was still holding Spike, "That...seemed odd." His eyes widened as his nose picked up on a foul stench. He turned to glance at Spike who still had his usual innocent grin on his face. As Flash cringed, "And you need a Diaper Change..." He sighed, patting the infant on the head, "Alright let's get this over with..."
