As he turned, Kagome beamed up at Kouga, keeping her hold as they started to follow. She was savvy enough to youkai senses not to vocalize her smugness, sure their visitor was convinced.
Kouga took in the other man's forced gait and curled fists, not nearly so certain. The polish of Benjiro's dark armor glinted in the sun, highlighting a row of jagged spikes across his shoulders.
It was armor meant for war.
