Last chapter I got a good amount of reviews, I was impressed this story is more popular when there's less everyone else and more Rizzles haha. Anyways was going to do one more full chapter of their trip but after consideration they'll be returning to Boston in this chapter. Just imagine them seeing sights and having lots of sex on their final days.
Maura woke up, turning to look at her sleeping wife who was actually snoring gently. Maura couldn't remember the last time that she snored, but she found it adorable. She pressed a kiss to Jane's cheek, and quietly got out of bed. She yawned as she put on a cup of coffee, yesterday had a lot of excitement and Maura was still trying to come off of her high from winning the jackpot and getting lucky with her wife. Maura chuckled to herself, it was odd, but today Maura felt like a new woman, she felt refreshed. She felt completely rejuvenated, she felt absolutely amazing. Maura grabbed her cup of coffee once it was brewed and she went to go stand outside on the balcony.
She had her phone on her as she went to take a picture of the sunrise on the Vegas strip. It was really breathtaking, although she couldn't wait until she seen the beauty of the Grand Canyon and New Orleans. Maura realized that she has a message from Susie, she sighed as there was still no word from Constance but shrugged it off as she sat down in the chair, propping her feet up dialing Susie's number.
Susie picked up on the fourth ring, "Maura, hey, I wasn't expecting you to call me this early in Vegas time."
"Well Jane is still sleeping and you said if I was ever alone you wanted to talk to me. That it was important..."
"Yeah Maura, it is... important... in fact there's a reason I don't want to discuss it with Jane around... I'm still trying to figure it all out in my head."
"Okay Susie, well you can tell me anything, you know this. So what's the matter?"
"I do, I know," Susie sighed. "I sort of, maybe kissed Frankie."
Maura sat up in her chair, "You did? And how was it?"
"I got really nervous after I did something so bold, but it was obvious that he was flirting with me and we both know about... you know..."
"Yeah about that crush you have on him, you told me that one time we went out for drinks. When you and your last boyfriend broke up, how maybe it happened for a reason. Holding feelings for Frankie for that long without letting it slip, I don't know how you could do that."
"This coming from the woman who had a thing for Jane ever since you met her, well after you realized she was a cop."
"It wasn't that long, anyways not that long of me knowing my feelings. Anyways, isn't this phone call about you and Frankie," Maura laughed, sipping her coffee.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. It feels nice, but I know Frankie's dating history, I don't know how I feel about all the people he's been with. Just four relationships in one year, well three and then a one night thing with Lydia and a few day thing with Kent until they realized that they were better off as friends. I know out of everyone his thing with Barry after Gwen was his most important relationship and I could see how much he's hurting over Frost's coma even though he won't admit it. How can I ever compete with that? Compete with what him and Barry had."
Maura listened to her friend and sighed, feeling for her. "Yeah, I'm not entirely too sure about that. Everyone has doubts in people and a potential relationship. I know with me and Jane we had lots of doubts from time to time, but things worked out amazingly well in the end. My advice is to just have a sit down talk with Frankie before you jump into anything. No matter how long that talk is, and how scared you might be... Frankie is a great guy and you deserve someone like that. I have faith in you and if things go well, we'll be family, you and I."
"You make it sound so easy, but that'd be nice having you as my sister of sorts. I should let you go now, enjoy the rest of your vacation and I'll let you know how it goes. Then if it's going really well I'll tell Jane myself... I mean unless Frankie mentions it first, but I'd prefer to tell her. I guess I'll tell Frankie not to tell... oh um speaking of Frankie I see him coming. I'll see you in Boston. Can't wait for you to come back."
"Alright good luck with your new potential mate. We can plan to go out for dinner one night soon. Enjoy your time with Frankie," Maura replied before hanging up the phone, smiling at the fact Susie was interested in Frankie. She hoped that the Rizzoli wouldn't mess things up this time around.
"What a beautiful sight, isn't it?"
Jane's voice was heard, slightly startling Maura, she smiled, turning to her wife leaning against the doorframe. "Yeah it's amazing how Vegas has such a nice sight in the morning."
"I was more talking about my beautiful wife, but Vegas does look nice right now, peaceful in a way. Excited to go see the Grand Canyon, and then Colorado Springs. A few more days and then our trip will be over."
"Sounds pretty bittersweet when you put it that way. But we'll have loads of fun and lots of sex," Maura winked at the last part.
"Aah, speaking of sex, how long until you want to go drive to the Grand Canyon?" Jane asked and Maura looked at her phone to check the time and smirked.
"About an hour, but maybe we should indulge in some breakfast first."
"Maybe I want to indulge in my wife first," she stepped closer to her wife smirking.
Maura shook her head, "You make it hard to say no to you."
"Oh sweetie, you can never say no to me. Remember all the times we tried while I was injured, longest weeks of my life by the way."
"You're doing a lot of talking Jane," Maura laughed and Jane nodded.
"You may be onto something," Jane rested her hands on Maura's waist, leaning down to kiss her. Maura moaned into it, walking Jane backwards and into the hotel room until Maura found a wall, pressing Jane against it. "Very fiesty there."
"Yep," Maura nodded, wasting no time in tossing off Jane's shirt before planting kisses down her neck, lifting her knee press against Jane's crotch.
"Very fiesty indeed," Jane groaned out, closing her eyes enjoying the sensations she felt at Maura continued what she was doing. Jane whimpered once Maura pulled away her knee, but she felt Maura hook a finger into her underwear before pulling it down her legs. Maura cupped her wife and ran her thumb against her throbbing entrance. "Jesus..." Jane hissed, tossing her head back as her wife's lips were now on her breasts nipping at the warm flesh before focusing her attention on her nipple, all while her thumb played with her entrance. Jane opened her eyes and looked down at Maura, watching her work her magic.
Jane took a deep breath as Maura finally inserted a finger and then another right after. "Oh Maura," she groaned, her voice growing deeper. "So good," she muttered as Maura began moving her fingers in and out at a slow pace, before picking it up a bit. Maura went to focus on Jane's other nipple as Jane's hips thrusted down on Maura's fingers, riding them gently.
"More?" Maura asked as she slowly dragged her tongue over Jane's hardened nipple. Jane couldn't get any words out she just nodded, whimpering in the process. In that moment Maura inserted a third finger, pumping inside of her, curling her fingers, hitting Jane in the perfect spot each time.
Jane felt her legs shake at Maura's fast and hard thrusts, "I'm... about to... come...hard..." she managed to pant out. Maura smirked and moved down onto her knees, her mouth nipping on Jane's thigh, she managed to feel Jane's folds clamp down around her fingers as she came hard just like she said she would. Maura helped Jane ride out her orgasm before removing her fingers, her tongue lapping at the warmth and wetness. Jane got her racing heart to slow down with steady breaths.
Maura stood up straight and Jane could see the proud look on Maura's face, the one she usually had when Jane came undone. Jane loved the look on Maura so she kissed her hard, like her life depended on it. Their tongues fighting for dominance as Jane walked them towards the bed pushing her down. Jane was about to get Maura undressed when she heard her stomach.
"Dammit Maura, why must your stomach do that?"
"I told you we should have gotten breakfast first."
"Well I just thought we'd fulfill our needs, work up an appetite and eat on the way to the Canyon."
"Well, I wouldn't have minded delaying our travel time a bit after we had a fulfilling breakfast. We don't have to take care of me anyways, remember last night was my birthday you fucked me nice. I was just returning the favor."
Jane nodded, sitting up on Maura's lap. "I still think your stomach is rude," Jane laughed before going to get some clothes on. Maura watched her wife with a smile, she did secretly agree with Jane that her stomach had horrible timing sometimes.
She got off of the bed and put on some clothes before the packed up their bags and everything in the car. "You know Maura, we don't have to check out until 11, the car is packed and we have time to spare." Jane mentioned looking at the time on her phone.
Maura thought about it for a moment and grabbed Jane by the arm, heading back up to their hotel room for the last 40 minutes. "I love you and your sexual desires."
"And I love fulfilling my sexual desires with you, always you," Jane responded with a smile before they enjoyed a hot thirty minutes in their hotel room.
The next few days Jane and Maura were enjoying the sights they were seeing. They had a pattern when they got to a place they were going to stay at they had sex, they'd see the sights and eat and then go back for more sex. It went on for three more days, they were in New Orleans for two of those days and now it was the evening before they traveled all the way back to Boston, that in itself would take about 23 hours and that was before you counted all the breaks they were going to need to take for gas, food and bathroom breaks. They would get home around August 12th Jane and Maura estimated.
"You know out of all the places we've been to sight wise, New Orleans has been my favorite place. There's so much culture and the French Quarter was amazing. I think we should try to make this an annual thing, not the road trip around the states, but coming to New Orleans. I bet the twins would love to come see all of this," Maura spoke to Jane on the balcony as she sipped at her wine, Jane drinking her lemon tea.
"Yeah I'm sure they would, but just remember there will be another child we'll have to take care of next year. I don't think we'll be talking about traveling this time next year. Maybe around Christmas, I bet it's nice here around Christmas time. Beats Boston winter that's for sure. Last winter was the best one I've had up there, you know. When we figured things out and got together, I don't hate the Christmas season anymore."
"I wonder why," Maura smirked, enjoying the way Jane's eyes lit up when she talked about the end of last year when they finally got the courage to start dating. Maura loved this happy, calm sight of her wife, glad the sadness didn't seem to show up. They talked to the twins on the phone today they were excited to hear that they'd be coming back soon, they discussed their plans to have a night where they'd show off all their photos from their trip after Frost woke up of course.
Now it was just Maura and Jane enjoying the atmosphere before they'd be back on the road.
"We've been through so much in a year, I can't believe how fast all the good parts seem to go," Jane put down her glass. "But the horrible parts seem to last forever. Like losing Camille it seems like forever since she was hear, since we could have a conversation with her. I think she would have liked it here, in New Orleans. You know if she was still here I bet us three and the twins would have a grand time on a road trip, but our personal road trip was a great bonding experience for us, don't get me wrong."
Maura nodded at Jane's words, "I know what you mean Jane. Camille meant a great deal to all of us, a road trip with her would have been different than this road trip but it would be great nonetheless," Maura patted Jane's knee, before getting up from the chair. "It's getting pretty late, maybe we should get some rest, we have a home to get back to."
"I killed the mood, didn't I?" Jane sighed, rubbing at her temples.
"No Jane, you didn't kill any mood, I'm just getting tired is all. Camille was a great person and I miss her daily too. Anytime you want to talk about Camille I'll listen."
"You're always here for me, it's very well appreciated. I think I'm going to sit out here for a little bit longer, I'll be in soon."
Maura nodded, giving her wife a quick kiss, "Take your time. I love you."
"I love you too Maura," Jane smiling softly, watching Maura walk back inside before turning her attention back to the night sky.
Back in Boston it was almost midnight, Tommy was at Frankie's house after he got released from the hospital, Tommy rather be home alone but nobody thought that would be a good idea and Todd was mad at Tommy for trying to leave him behind so Tommy decided that staying at his mother's and Korsak's house wasn't an ideal option in his opinion. Plus him and Frankie were enjoying a game, both drinking soda and eating pizza.
"Thanks for letting me stay here Frankie."
"Hey no problem Tommy, you're staying out of trouble and my apartment is free of alcohol and pain meds. I know you're tired of the waiting game of when will Frost wake up. I'm sure he'll be waking up soon, plus Janie will be home soon and Ma will be throwing her a congratulations you're pregnant party for Jane, Frost is the godfather and it'd be weird without him there."
"Yeah, life is already weird without him here," Tommy shrugged it off. "But remember we're not supposed to be talking about things that will upset me."
"I'm sorry, I'm glad that the Red Sox are winning playoffs. Maybe they'll win another world series."
"Yeah I doubt it buddy."
"Wanna bet?" Frankie raised his brow and Tommy chuckled, stretching out his hand for his brother to shake.
"You're on, I bet they won't make it to the World Series and if they do happen to they're going to get their asses kicked."
"What are we betting exactly?"
"Loser washes the other's car for the rest of the year?" Tommy shrugged.
"That's lame as hell. How about the loser gets a tattoo on his ass?"
"Really? Why the ass?"
"Why not the ass, it'd make sitting down hard for the loser. And the winner gets to choose what gets to go there."
Tommy smirked getting an idea, "I know exactly what you should get when you lose."
"Getting cocky there Thomas?"
"Maybe just a bit and don't call me Thomas, jerk," Tommy gave Frankie a shove, going for another slice of pizza when there was a knock on Frankie's door. "Who can that be at this hour?" Tommy got up from the couch to go answer the door, it was Kent. "Hey Kent, what's up?"
"Hello Tommy, I had to get away from Lydia, oh my God she can be so annoying. Plus I've come to help out Frankie, I know how exhausting watching you can be mate," Kent grinned patting Tommy on the back.
"But it's midnight, you really have nothing to do, do you?" Tommy asked and Kent smiled, shaking his head.
"Nope, so what are you guys doing?" Kent asked taking a seat on the couch next to Frankie, grabbing a piece of pizza. "You know Frankie, Susie missed you at work today, and Crowe had been acting weird, I think him and Gwen broke up whatever odd thing they had going on."
"Well I had things that needed to be taken care of. And I could care less about what is going on with Crowe, getting with my ex was the biggest mistake he could make. I'm not interested in how he's been acting."
Tommy joined them on the couch. "Hey can we please stop talking about depressing shit? I'm supposed to be hearing positive stuff not negative. I have my mind for that."
"Sorry mate, we'll talk about something else."
"Frankie and I were discussing the future World Series that Boston may be a part of. I think if they're making it they are going to lose, my brother thinks differently, we made a bet that the loser gets a tattoo... on his ass."
Kent chuckled, "Seriously? You guys have too much time on your hands."
"Did you want to join the bet?"
"I'm sorry Tommy, but you're outnumbered. I have a feeling the Red Sox have what it takes."
"Okay but don't complain to me when your ass hurts," Tommy chuckled.
"I think you should keep that in mind for yourself mate," Kent laughed, biting into the pizza slice in his hand.
"I already have a pain in the ass, and it's the two of you," Tommy shook his head, crossing his arms but smiling.
"Don't be such a sore loser Tommy," Frankie laughed.
"But he will be a sore loser you know when he can't sit on his ass."
Tommy rolled his eyes at his friend and Frankie, at least it got his mind off missing Barry so damn much.
Maura rolled over in her sleep in the middle of the night, she opened her eyes when she couldn't feel the warmth of Jane's body next to her. She got out of bed and went to go check where her wife was. Jane was still out on the balcony, her eyes closed, leaning back in the chair. Maura hated to wake her up but she didn't think Jane would wake up in the morning and appreciate having slept there the whole night.
Maura gently shook Jane by the shoulder causing Jane to mumble. "Five more minutes Maura..."
"Jane you do realize that you're still outside."
"I am," Jane stretched and wiped at her eyes. "Oh so I am, what time is it?"
"It's four in the morning, you should probably join me in bed."
Jane shrugged, "I mean while we're up we can get ready to start our road trip back to Boston, if we leave around 6 we'll be in Boston around lunchtime the next day after we include stops and stuff. I mean if you're up for it of course."
Maura nodded, "I guess since we're both awake that makes the most sense, we can watch the sunrise before we head out, I remember yesterday morning's sunrise was pretty spectacular here."
"Yeah it was," Jane got up from the chair on the balcony. "Guess we should start packing. Did you have a good night's sleep, well with the amount you got."
"I think sometimes you forget about the kind of job we have, where full nights of sleep were pretty rare."
"You make a valid point, I don't think I'm going to miss those long nights, or working those long ass, stressful cases. I will miss getting the bad guys off of the street though, and the thrill of the chase."
"At least you'll still be helping others, and that's never going to change," Maura smiled, cupping Jane's cheek. "I think what I'm going to miss the most are our work lunches, and the times you come down to my office just because."
"Yeah, those were the good times of work, any chance I got to see you. We sure seem to be getting sentimental about things a lot lately. This trip was a great time to reflect and have our relationship grow even stronger."
"You seem more aware of things in the morning time too, even though we both know how much you like to sleep in. I appreciate you being up in the mornings for our trip."
"I didn't want to miss anything for a moment, it was nice, all of it. I really enjoyed myself, tons actually," Jane smiled warmly at Maura before leaning down to kiss her.
"I enjoyed myself a lot too, tons," she whispered against Jane's lips before pulling away slightly, hands on Jane's hips. "You know I was thinking when we get back to Boston before we go see Frost, maybe we can stop by Camille's grave, say hello. If you'd like that is."
Jane nodded, "I think that's a good idea, talk to her for a bit. Unless we get a call that Frost is awake then I'd prefer going to see him first."
"Of course, now we should start packing we have a long drive ahead of us."
"That we do, you're going to have to let go of me first," she looked down at Maura's hands on her, before looking back up at Maura.
"Maybe we don't have to pack just yet six o' clock is an hour and a half away."
Jane chuckled, "If you want me to have sex with you all you have to do is ask."
"I didn't think I had to ask, I thought you had amazing Detective skills to just know when I wanted you."
"Only you can be aroused at four in the morning."
"What can I say, getting sentimental turns me on."
"What doesn't turn you on anyways?" Jane asked out of curiosity.
"Anything or anyone who isn't you, that's who," Maura nudged Jane's nose with hers before pulling her down for a kiss. Jane loved how Maura knew exactly what to say.
Jane and Maura drive back to Boston was long and exhausting, they took several breaks throughout the first day. They switched the task of driving everytime they took a stop. On August 12th around noon they entered the city of Boston.
Jane sighed glancing over at Maura. "Well looks like we made it back to Boston."
"Very good observation skills you have there Jane," Maura smiled, patting her hand. "So, you still wanting to go see Camille before we go to visit Frost?"
Jane nodded her head, "I mean it is on the way to the hospital and no word of him waking up yet. We should probably go to the store and get some flowers to put on her grave, who knows if there are any fresh ones out."
"That sounds like a good idea," Maura turned on a corner where she knew that there was a flower shop. They went inside to go pick some out.
"You know Maura, I'm not even sure Camille appreciated flowers, hope she isn't looking down on me not impressed," Jane mentioned as she looked at lillies.
"I think she loves that you are thinking of her," Maura rested her hand on Jane's shoulder. "She always was impressed by you, just how you were for her being a single mother for four years without any help."
"I think Camille was amazing in that way, I really am impressed with how she handled herself now knowing how much responsibility two kids can be." Jane picked up daisies that she thought looked better. "I think she prefers this kind."
"They look really nice, let's go pay for them," Maura walked up to the counter with Jane and the flowers she picked out.
After they left the flower shop Maura drove them to the cemetary, Jane decided to text her brothers that she was back in Boston and that if Frost showed signs of waking up to get in touch with her right away. They promised that they would because they were at the hospital since the morning. They were very excited that she was back in Boston. Jane decided she would tell her mother later, drop by her house and see the twins and Julian before they went to their house to unpack and unwind.
Maura pulled up into the cemetary and her and Jane got out of the car. Jane knelt down in front of Camille's grave, putting the new flowers on the grave where there were currently no flowers. The cemetary was good at getting rid of flowers that weren't going to grow back. Maura went to go sit on the bench to give Jane some privacy with Camille.
"Hey Camille, Maura and I are back from our vacation. It was pretty great, so many great sights, you would have enjoyed seeing all the places we went to. I'm sure though that you were there with us, even if you weren't physically there, I know you were there in a more spiritual sense." Jane spoke softly to Camille's grave, her fingers running over her name on the headstone. "I miss you kid, I wish there was more I could do, more I could have done to prevent this from happening, all the time I wish I would wake up and you'd have been alive the whole time. Life is crazy like that, wishing and hoping for things that can't come true. I hate that you're going to miss me do this whole pregnancy thing, I wish I could go to you for tips and things. You never deserved to be here, not like this," Jane wiped her eyes, standing up. "I'll come visit you later Camille, I would love to stay here all day and talk to you, but I really need to go see Frost. I really would have hated to come back and him be gone too. God, imagine if I lost both of you, you think I'm a mess now..." Jane sighed. "Anyways, I love you Camille and I hope you continue looking down at us and do whatever you can to protect us down here on Earth. You're an angel now and angels can make anything happen right, I hope so. This isn't goodbye, this is just a see you later," Jane stood in silence for a moment before heading back to Maura who was still on the bench, looking deep in thought.
"Did you have a good talk?" Maura asked after Jane sat down on the bench next to her.
Jane nodded, "Yeah, I like getting my emotions out to her, did you want to go talk to her? I do know that you don't believe in an after life and she knew that too, but it's kind of a good exercise."
Maura shook her head, "I like this being something you do, for yourself, this sacred thing you and Camille had, sort of like sisters. If you got out all your emotions, that's good for you to partake in."
"Thanks for coming with me, that's always a good thing when you come," Jane reached over to take Maura's hand in hers. "I feel better that you're here, even if you're sitting on this bench, your presense does mean a lot."
"Of course, that's why I do this Jane, why I come with you, I like being in your presense and knowing it helps you that I'm here."
Jane nodded, getting up from the bench, "Well we can go see Frost now," Jane pulled out her phone, seeing now messages about Frost. "Well doesn't seem like he's up yet, maybe some lady visitors will get that man to wake up."
"He doesn't seem to like doing things without you, that's for sure," Maura stood up as they walked back to the car, and got in before heading to the hospital.
They got visitor passes before going up to the floor Frost was on, Frankie was in the waiting room to greet them.
"Hey, welcome back to Boston," he pulled his sister into a hug before turning to Maura, to give her a hug as well. "You survived a three week trip with my sister, and you came back in one piece, I'm impressed."
"You're such an ass Frankie," Jane gave him a shove. "So Frost showing any sort of movement?"
"Well Tommy claims Frost might've squeezed his hand about an hour ago, but he could just be hallucinating, I honestly don't know how much sleep he's gotten since his incident."
Jane looked at her brother with crossed arms, "What sort of incident?"
Frankie stepped back and rubbed at the back of his neck. "I um... it's nothing, forget I said anything. Tommy's doing fine."
"Do you know what he's going on about Maura?" Jane turned to her wife, who looked just as confused as she did.
"Frankie, I think you should tell us what happened with Tommy," Maura insisted.
Frankie frowned, "Fine, okay... but Tommy was really struggling a few days ago. He sort of drunk himself almost to death, and to add taking some pain meds, like a lot."
"Wait, you're telling me Tommy tried to kill himself and you didn't think you ought to tell me?"
"Jane, we didn't want to add more shit for you to worry about on your trip, Korsak and I thought it would be better if you didn't know. He was kept in the hospital a while for observation. I've been with him ever since he got out, he hasn't even looked at an alcoholic drink, he hasn't even been to work because well he works in a bar."
"You still should have told me Frankie, what happened if he did happen to kill himself, would you have waited to tell me if that was the case?" Jane asked in an almost shout.
"That would have been different Jane, but he's alive and he's doing okay and Frost is bound to wake up any day now, the doctors said he's showing signs of brain activity, now it's sort of just a waiting game from here."
Jane frowned at her brother, "I can't believe Tommy could have, what was he thinking? Do any of you think around here?" Jane shook her head, not amused of being kept in the dark about something this serious. "Come on Maura, let's go see Frost," she grabbed her wife by the hand, walking away from her brother.
They entered the room and Tommy jumped slightly before turning to see his sister and Maura standing there. "Janie, Maura, you're here," he greeted them both with a hug. "I think he squeezed my hand earlier Janie, I would have told you, but I didn't want to get your hopes up before you even got home."
Jane nodded, "Yeah I'm here, and it's good to see you, you know... alive. We'll discuss what I just found out later," she told him with a hint of anger in her voice.
"I guess he decided to tell you, I was going to tell you myself, I thought it would be better hearing it from me."
"Hearing that you almost killed yourself is not better, no matter who told me," she looked over at Frost, frowning, going to take a seat. "Why you'd even think of leaving Frost behind, I just... I don't get it."
"Are you mad at me too?" Tommy decided to focus his attention on Maura.
"I'm sort of in-between, but Jane and I are here to see Frost. Maybe give us some privacy?"
Tommy nodded, "Okay I get it, let me know if he does wake up though," he spoke quietly before exiting the room.
"Hey Frost, it's me and Maura, we're back from our trip and you can wake up anytime now," Jane went to take his hand in hers, it felt warm, so that was a good sign. "I've missed you man, not being able to talk to you at all that whole trip, it was killing me. We have a lot to talk about, but you'll have to wake up first before I start. I got a pretty big surprise I want to tell you, all you have to do is open your eyes, anything to let me know that you can hear me."
"Jane's right there Barry, she wanted to tell you a whole lot of things, even possibly give you a play by play of what we did, and what we seen. Minus some details her and I are certain you wouldn't be able to handle," Maura added in and Jane glanced up at her and smirked.
"Really Maura? Frost is in a coma and you're thinking about all the sex we had," she shook her head and turned to Frost. "I swear I awakened some sexual beast inside of Maura, who knows how the hell to get it out of her, I mean not that I'm complaining or anything, it was pretty damn incredible." Jane felt her cheeks flush, her mind going to back to their many hot and steamy moments of their trip. Jane smiled at Frost for a moment, before seeing his face twitch upwards into a faint smile, she glanced up at Maura again, this time in surprise.
"Jane..." Maura nodded and Jane felt Frost squeeze her hand.
"Frost..." Jane looked down at her friend, who slowly opened his eyes before closing them again.
"Why is it so bright in here? And more importantly, why are you talking to me about sex with Maura?" Frost asked, his throat scratchy, as he slowly opened his eyes again trying to adjust to the light.
"Frost! I can't believe this, I can't believe you're awake..." Jane grinned from ear to ear, with tears falling down her cheeks. Maura's face making the same expression.
"Yeah, Frankie and Tommy were talking about you coming to see me about two hours ago. I thought I could rest a little more with my head killing me. I was confused of why they were here and you weren't..."
"I should go get the doctor, let them know you're awake," Maura finally realized that it was important.
"No, don't... not yet anyways, I want Jane to tell me what happened."
Jane glanced at her wife before turning to Frost, "You don't know what happened?"
"Maybe if you told me what was going on," Frost winced as he took a deep breath. "Why am I in so much pain? I don't even know why I'm in the hospital."
"Shit Frost," Jane groaned. "Maura, this is one of the side effects, isn't it?"
Maura sighed, "Some memory loss, yeah..."
"Maura, Jane, please tell me what's going on."
I'm rude, I know I am, evil cliffhanger right? It'll motivaate me to write the next chapter, what do you think, what will Frost remember and not remember? I do hope you enjoyed this and the final moments of the Rizzles trip. I loved writing the Rizzles in this chapter, the sentimental talks, the sex they did partake in, Jane going to visit Camille at her grave. Rizzles really did get closer than they were before they started this trip. I'm so proud of their relationship, I live vicariously through them hence why this story is still active. I did enjoy the boy bonding of Frankie/Tommy/Kent, can't wait to see who has to get a tattoo on their ass. Had to give our boys (especially Tommy) some nice type of storyline in this because let me just tell you, the next chapters will be quite interesting. Frost is awake and I couldn't be happier, I've been planning Frost waking up since before he even went into a coma, so I'm interested to see your thoughts on that.
