I don't own Hetalia okay? I don't have much else for this opening. Anyway, enough of this A/N, on with the fic!

(from the diary of Elizabeta Edelstein nee Héderváry)
I must admit back when we moved out here, I thought I would have to make new friends, and that while Katy was very good at keeping up correspondence with me. I was surprised soon after we made it into our house, I was getting letters from her soon after we moved in. Maria is nearly a year old now and still rather small so we could only take her on things like the merry go round. Made Roddy be the one to hold her when Nikolai wanted to go on the roller coaster. It looked like fun and she is his daughter too so he needs to spend more time with her other than playing music for her. She's not quite old enough for him to teach her how to play so this will have to do in his mind anyway.
Other than adjusting to the warmth, it has been a nice place to live. Roddy loves his job and loves the fact that he can actually write the music for some of the movies rather than just play it. I do have to tell him on his days off to stay away from the instruments. His hands can often get bandaged from the wear playing too long can do. He may not have the callused hands of someone who works with heavy hard work or some lumberjack but you can tell he spends lots of time on his work. Although it is that gift of his that will calm Maria down instantly. She's such a daddy's girl. It was nice seeing everyone again. I had known that Anya loved Louise and she fell in love with Maria as well. Says she always wanted little sisters and was mad her parents gave her another brother. It's charming. Not like she knows exactly how everything works yet. Not like Alfred and Natalya could choose what they had. But tomorrow it will be a day with just us girls. Alfred and Matthew are taking the boys fishing and somehow, despite their very contrasting personalities, Alfred invited Roddy along. It's good if he keeps what sort of friendship he has with those two. But I am happy now with what we have and It's good to see them again and knowing that while they aren't as close as we were, we aren't far apart.
So how was that? Good? Bad? Short? Long? Let me know in a review. You can clearly see this one is longer than The Longing of the Heart for some obvious reasons. One is over a few years, this a whole decade practically. I am coming to a good wrap up and should be here soon. Anyway, remember to read (well you just did) and to review. Ciao for now,
