Chapter 197
.
Frank Castle had served two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He had a reputation, even among the marines, as a good sniper. He took every precaution to try and avoid being killed, tried to get back to his wife and children. But he always knew that there was the chance he would be killed. Maybe by some expert insurgent sniper, maybe some punk who got lucky, maybe just some random chance. A part of Frank had always feared winding up in Hell, not that this fear stopped him from enacting his form of retributive justice. He hadn't expected he would willingly go to Hell to rescue others, but he did. And it was here he would get killed. He was shot by a sniper, Brenda Spencer. At 19 Brenda took a rifle and shot at the elementary school across the street. She killed two adults and wounded children. When asked why she did this Brenda simply responded "I don't like mondays." It was hard to believe that such a punk could murder the Punisher, but that is how Frank Castle died in Hell.
