THE END WAR – TRUE ELEMENTAL FUSION
The Imperial Palace
Naruto looks at his hands before looking over the top of those powering the shield, he looks at Furst Jonas. Naruto sees his opponent and smiles confidently. He begins to walk slowly through those who are powering the shield, taking his time to reach the front of that shield where he stands near Hinata. He smiles at her before nodding. He looks around the others, Himawari, Enri, Mana, Akashi, Michel, nodding to each of them in turn.
"Do you feel confident enough to get rid of the shield now?" Naruto asks.
"No," Hinata admits.
Naruto can understand that, he turns around and begins to walk behind the front line of those powering the shield. Jonas watches Naruto curiously as he does so, no longer in such a rush to break through the shield. Naruto has been shouting about how he will find a way to defeat him for much of this battle but now he seems quieter, more relaxed than he has been at any point. Jonas was curious the last time he saw that light in the sky, when it was someone unknown to him, now that he has seen Naruto summon that light he is even more curious.
Naruto keeps walking until he reaches Sarada and Boruto.
"It's good to see you two working together again."
"Yes, it feels good Naruto-sensei," Sarada says.
"Dad… can you defeat him now… can you win?"
"I need someone to get me to the other side of the shield," Naruto says. "Boruto, you can use the Flying Thunder God technique can't you? Why don't you take me to the other side and let's find out?"
"Yeah, OK."
Boruto places a hand on his father's shoulder and teleports with him, appearing in front of Jonas. Upon arriving Boruto immediately releases his father and teleports back to Sarada's side. Now he is there with the rebellion, with almost every other warrior in Homeworld, and they are watching. They are eager to find out if it has been enough, is Naruto now strong enough to defeat Furst Jonas?
"Do you think that you're latest breakthrough is going to make some big difference?" Jonas asks. "At most you have broken through one battle class, at most you are a class 10 warrior now. If that is the case this will be just like our fight from before, and maybe you will get a lucky win. But don't think I'm going to fall for the same mistakes twice, don't think I'm going to let you win easily. Uzumaki Naruto, that confident look on your face annoys me, because you have failed to realise how great my power really is."
"Yes."
"What?"
"I think my latest breakthrough will make a big difference."
Jonas punches Naruto. Naruto doesn't move, taking the punch directly to his head. Once again Jonas hits the Uzumaki's head protector. This time no rebel energy comes to the rescue for the 7th Hokage, this time there is no miracle, nothing of the sort. This time Naruto takes the punch and doesn't move. Naruto makes it seem like Jonas is not a warrior at all, like he has no strength to speak of, and absorbs the hit.
Jonas stumbles back.
"What!?"
"One battle class?" Naruto chuckles. "That's an interesting theory. Would you like to try again, Jonas?"
Jonas also chuckles, perhaps he was underestimating Naruto, not a mistake he will make again. This time he withdraws his fist and gathers Pico-Controlled golden 'destruction-creation' on his fist. He also 'creates' a thin layer of diamond around it. This is the strongest punch he can deliver, one that draws on many of his legendary powers and skills. He also throws the punch with good technique this time, instead of the half-hearted method he used before. He swings from the hips and strikes Naruto's head as hard as he can, aiming his knuckles just below the Leader of the Rebellion's head protector.
This throws rocks and dust backwards into the shield, causing Hinata and the others to take a couple of steps back. After they have shielded their eyes they immediately turn back and look into the dust. That was much harder than the first strike, they all cross their fingers and wish from the bottom of the hearts for Naruto to be OK. They hope that the Hokage's arrogance hasn't cost him.
The dust clears.
Naruto has not moved!
Jonas takes two steps back out of fear. He looks rapidly between his hand and Naruto. He doesn't understand how this is possible. Even when he was a class 8 warrior there was nobody in Homeworld who could take a direct attack from him without flinching. He refuses to believe that Naruto is that strong, that there is anyone alive who is that strong. He insists to himself that this must be the result of a pocket-worlders illusion technique.
"This isn't real," Jonas says.
Naruto says something that terrifies Jonas, that shakes him to his core.
"Hey, it's my turn now."
Jonas stumbles back again, truly afraid. He is right to be. Naruto doesn't build up any power on his hand as the emperor did, he doesn't make elaborate preparations or use powerful techniques. He takes three steps forward before delivering a lackadaisical punch to Jonas's chest. The emperor is lifted from his feet and thrown a hundred meters backwards. Jonas lands and falls when he tries to get back to his feet, there is internal damage throughout his body. He quickly begins repairing himself by 'destroying' and 'creating' his own organic tissue.
Meanwhile Naruto looks back over his shoulder to Hinata. He then walks to her side, smiling to her all the while. He lifts up a hand and places it on the shield, never taking his eyes from her. After a moment her shock subsides and she returns the smile, her smile filled with wonderment. She can't believe what she has just seen, nobody can. They thought that this was impossible and forever would be.
"Are you happy to drop the shield now?"
"Yes."
Hinata slowly absorbs the energy from the shield and returns it to everyone who helped. When that is done they all disconnect from one another and relax. Hinata's hand hovers beside Naruto's face, she is almost afraid to touch him. He has become something more than any of them have ever seen before, a warrior of a very different kind.
'You've made a mistake Uzumaki!' Furst says.
Jonas quickly creates a golden 'destruction-creation' arrow and fires it at full speed towards Boruto. Boruto is stunned, his mind fails him for a moment. Sarada throws herself between Boruto and the arrow, trying to 'create' a diamond barrier but quickly realises that she doesn't have time, Jonas's attack is coming too fast. She turns her head, wanting to look at Boruto one last time, but she is not even sure she will have time to do that. But somehow she does. Sarada turns and her eyes meet Boruto's. After ten seconds pass she turns to see what has happened.
The arrow has been stopped!
"How… how is that possible?" Clyde asks.
"Energy Projection…" Hannah mutters. "He actually stopped it with Energy Projection?"
Hinata looks back to Naruto.
"Don't worry," Naruto says. "I will be the shield from now on."
Naruto walks towards Jonas. The emperor is scared at first but then suddenly his confidence is renewed, he returns the gesture and walks towards Naruto. The two of them walk for several moments before meeting in the middle. Naruto can tell by the look on Jonas's face that the emperor has thought of something. Maybe Jonas has a clever new way to win, maybe he has thought of an escape plan, but Naruto doesn't intend to permit either. He is going to make this the end if it is the last thing he does.
"You won't be able to kill me," Jonas says.
"If you think that then you're a fool."
"Oh but I have taken inspiration from you of all people Uzumaki Naruto. I admit that you are my greatest rival. If circumstances had been different you could have surpassed me in all aspects of strength, but they are not. My elements of 'creation' and 'destruction' are the most powerful combination in existence. Observe, I am unharmed. No matter what you do to attack me I can completely repair myself. You cannot defeat me Uzumaki Naruto, using that machine is my destiny and my elements make me unkillable!"
"I could destroy your entire body with one attack."
"Ha, as if I would let you. I am the Emperor of Homeworld, I am the foretold god, I am Furst Jonas! But if there is one thing that I have learned from you it is that there are many ways to get stronger. Detonating your core and healing yourself immediately to avoid dying is clever, but what if I could do that too. What if I detonate my core and immediately repair my body? My power could multiply several times over instantly! I could be just as strong, no, many times stronger than you."
Jonas ignites his arm with divine energy. Naruto is surprised that Jonas is willing to risk such a thing. Nevertheless, Jonas already has one divine oddity, and his Pico-Control makes him uniquely suited to copying Naruto. He detonates part of his core and sets to work rebuilding it immediately with 'creation' energy. Meanwhile he takes his powered-up arm and throws it towards Naruto as hard as he can. When it connects the ground shakes and those who were powering the shield are mostly thrown the ground. Jonas laughs, he has done it, his arm hurts but he has survived. He may not be able to detonate as much of his core as Naruto, but he has created a weak copy of his divine oddity.
But Naruto has caught his punch!
"That's impossible…"
"Using the technique on one arm at a time and still sustaining damage to that arm," Naruto remarks. "I remember when that was the limit of my divine oddity. I have come a long way since then, Jonas you can't use that technique to defeat me."
'It didn't make any difference?' Jonas realises.
Naruto continues. "Using my divine oddity isn't as impressive as it would have been before, you are a class 11 warrior now, with enough practice you should be able to copy it. I've noticed that when you become stronger all of your techniques do as well. With the One True Sense I can now feel even more than I could before. I can feel the tiny imperfections in people's heartbeats, I can feel the wind in blades of grass over one mile away, I can count how many steps the people behind me are taking each minute.
"Your divine oddity depends on incredible senses, that is why I can do this."
Naruto holds his hand out and gathers golden 'life' energy. That energy then begins to split into smaller parts and Naruto demonstrates that he can control them with greater precision than before. Jonas's eyes snap wide open. He was able to copy the first stage of Naruto's divine oddity, but the Uzumaki clansman is doing even more than that.
Naruto is not just using Milli-Control, he is using Micro-Control!
"I'll just have to work out your divine oddity faster!" Jonas says.
"It won't matter. You are so self-obsessed that you have failed to notice. Since I fused my energy I haven't needed to use my divine oddity. Even when you attacked me just then I didn't need it. You could completely understand my divine oddity Jonas, it won't matter. You have lost."
Jonas leaps back and begins to gather golden 'destruction-creation' energy in his hands. He summons all the energy that he can.
"Then I'll copy your One-Hundred Percent Detonation. I only need to sustain it for a single moment. I will shatter you into a thousand pieces. I will destroy you! I will kill you!"
Naruto shakes his head. "No, you won't. If you try to copy my One-Hundred Percent Detonation you will die."
Jonas doesn't care about Naruto's doubts. Even if only part of him survives this he will find a way to return, he will 'create' himself from the beginning. He only needs to use Naruto's completed divine oddity for an instant, then he is sure that he can win. He is going to kill Naruto! This is now all that matters in his life, he is certain that it his destiny to kill the rebel here and to use the machine behind him. He will become the god of Homeworld, that is all he has strived for all these years.
Naruto gathers a small amount of shining-gold energy in his hand. Jonas has never seen anything like it. He doesn't feel energy coming from that direction, he doesn't feel anything at all. He can only conclude that what is in Naruto's hand is not divine energy but is some kind of new energy. He is right, this is no ordinary power, this is the result of Naruto's latest breakthrough.
This is golden fusion-energy.
Jonas completely detonates his core and fires as much golden 'destruction-creation' as he can at Naruto. The 7th Hokage retaliates, hitting back against it with his own golden 'life-fate' fusion-energy. The moment the two energies hit it seems like there may be a stalemate, but as Jonas looks across at Naruto he sees only pity in the eyes of his opponent. Naruto begins to push more energy into his beam, requiring little effort to do so.
Once more Jonas questions his eyes.
'This is impossible, this cannot be happening. I've dedicated my entire life to this cause. When my friend died in my arms I realised that I felt nothing. In that moment I realised that it was like watching the death of an insect because I am a being above humans. In that moment I believed that I was a god.
'Then during the war against the Dark Dimension I realised what nobody else could, that a very rare divine ability could help you to break through two levels. I waited years for that ability to appear. I took Petra on as my student because she could help me to conceal my true intentions from as many people as possible. I fooled the great Endou Akashi.
'Years later I went with Akashi and Sora to see that Seer from the Hertz Clan. She told us what would happen. She saw our future. She screamed. She told us that she saw something terrifying in our futures. She saw the emergence of a god. I knew that this was meant to be me, that I was a being above humanity. I created a device to project my energy all over Homeworld, I obtained the ability to destroy or create anything I wanted. I was certain that I was right, that I was the one.
'But… could it be… could it be that I have been wrong all these years.
'Could it be that the foretold god was never me…
'… it was you.'
Jonas screams.
"No, that's impossible!"
Naruto then increases the power of his energy beam one last time, unleashing all of his power at once.
Furst Jonas is completely consumed within that beam!
Naruto's energy finally runs out.
There is nobody there!
Naruto collapses onto his back and looks back up at the sky. He rests his head and breathes deeply. The tailed-beasts all urge him to stand and to look to see what happened, but he hasn't got the energy to stand. He just closes his eyes and prays that he can finally take a well-earned rest. He waits for Hinata and the others.
Hinata thought they won before; she doesn't dare leap before looking this time. She activates her Byakugan and looks around. She can't see any sign of Jonas, not a trace. She still doesn't want to take any chances; she speaks to the best sensors she knows in the rebellion.
'Boruto, any sign?'
'No.'
'Sasuke, can you see him?'
'I can't.'
'Sarada, is he there?'
'No, he… he's gone.'
Hinata drops to her knees and does her best to compose herself. She refuses to say this with a communication stone, she fills her lungs and shouts out the result to the world.
"HE WON!"
With this announcement the cheers of those nearby quickly spread to everyone. They cheer, they scream, they celebrate! It is euphoria, for many a moment they have dreamed of their entire life.
Mana kneels beside Hinata and hugs her sister tightly. This has been a struggle that has defined their entire lives. It was the worst day of their lives when Jonas's coup succeeded, when Hinata was evacuated to the pocket-world, and when Akashi died. Ever since then they have spent every conscious moment working to find a way to defeat Jonas. They were up against the only class 10 warrior, a man who it was mathematically impossible to keep up with. Yet this day has still arrived, Homeworld is free at long last, they have done it!
Clyde hugs his daughter and laughs loudly. When Naruto defeated him he dreamt that perhaps he could be the one to change Homeworld's fate, to free it at last. So much time has passed since then, so often this struggle has seemed hopeless, but now here they are. That crazy pocket-worlder who fought back against the Military and saved the pocket-world has done the same for Homeworld. Clyde feels tears in his eyes as he thinks back to Lara's death and the sacrifice Mirai made. The two of them helped to make this possible. Naruto and Hinata have done it! They have saved everyone!
Didier roars happily before looking around his fellow beasts with a smile. He laughs with both Emilie and Laurent; the Beast Kingdom and the Beast Clan are free at last. They trusted in the word of a madman who wanted to build a future with them and it has paid off.
The Hertz Family Compound
Various members of the Hertz Family are confused when they look at their most famous seers. Theresa and Philip are dancing and cheering in the street, celebrating something that has happened in a different country. The vision has come to them now, they know what happened. Homeworld is free, the prophecy played out exactly as they hoped it would!
The Imperial Palace
Shao Chin punches the air in celebration. Back when this all started he lost two fights, one to Safura and one to Naruto. He was given a choice of allegiance. Most people would have called him crazy for siding with Naruto, but he has been proven right, the pocket-worlder has won. He spots the guard who was using his Tracking Shot nearby and their eyes meet. For some reason he feels no enmity. They cheer and celebrate together.
Ashen presses her head against Safura's and smiles. When she returned to Homeworld she felt that she had a genuine chance to protect the Little Diamond, but when she fought Furst she thought that chance was lost. She couldn't have imagined how one of the pocket-worlders would change their fate, how the rebellion would change their fate. That unbeatable emperor who had replaced his kind predecessor has been defeated. They are free to be together at last.
Akashi looks on with a smile on his face. He remembers his words to Hinata, his hopes for her reincarnations. "Trust me you will find friends here, people that one day you won't be able to live without. I truly believe that." As he looks at Uzumaki Naruto he knows that his every ambition has come to pass. That pocket-world contained someone who will forever be remembered as Homeworld's hero.
Michel runs into the embrace of his fellow beasts. After being exiled for much of his life he is welcomed back into their numbers as a comrade. He is someone who can always claim to have accompanied the heroes Uzumaki Naruto and Endou-Hyuuga Hinata. He will forever be remembered for his efforts with them throughout this war.
Terukatsu looks at the horn of Endou Akashi that he still has in his hand. He looks at Akashi and then at Naruto. He recognises that history has repeated itself, that Homeworld has found a second saviour who will be immortalised in poem and song.
Dai tightly hugs his father, a sight that he hopes his mother can see from the other side. He also speaks to someone else on the other side. 'Sora, you were right to believe in him. I hope you can see this; I hope you know that your sacrifice was worthwhile. He won! He won!'
Nina also says a few words to Sora and to Juan. She hopes that they know how important they were, how Naruto couldn't have done this without their teachings and guidance. Then she looks at him with a smile. 9th student and 5th son Uzumaki Naruto, he will forever be her most accomplished student. She can forever take pride in the fact that she taught him.
Claude lands on Hannah's head and flaps his wings excitedly, as if preparing to take off. Hannah pulls him down into her shoulder, laughing with him. The empire that put them through such pain and suffering has finally ended. The one who saved them has saved everyone else as well, now they don't have to fear Furst Jonas anymore, now they will always be free!
Enri claps as she looks at Naruto. She sees that he is still alive and smiles widely. She used 'fate' to determine who she should summon to the Crystal Caves when she first became involved in the war. 'Fate' brought Naruto and Boruto to her. She can see now that it was the right choice. She is glad that she told them how to divide their minds. She is glad that Naruto was able to far surpass her in that regard. He has saved them all.
Nadia drops to the ground and holds her head in her hands. She thought that defeating Jonas with power was impossible, that the mind was the only way to defeat him. She was wrong and she couldn't be happier about it. She raises her head to see that she is being approached by Nara Shikadai.
"Two-thousand meters," Shikadai says. "Good call."
Nadia and Shikadai laugh together before the latter helps her up. They agree that they will look forward to learning from one another in future competitions of the mind.
Petra lowers her head. She has been used all by Jonas for all these years, she has done many things that she now realises are unforgiveable. She doesn't know what will happen to her from here, but she is glad that she opposed him at the end. Homeworld doesn't need a god, it always needed a hero.
Tobirama raises his eyebrows when he sees Kakashi cheering enthusiastically, not something that he normally sees from the 6th Hokage. Kakashi continues this for several seconds before he turns to the 2nd Hokage and sees his subdued reaction.
"You can be happy once in a while," Kakashi smiles.
Tobirama holds back for a moment before smiling widely. He joins Kakashi's celebration and starts to cheer with unusual enthusiasm. The Senju family have given so much to this conflict, they have lost so many people because of the selfishness of Furst Jonas. No more. The Senju Clan and the Hidden Leaf Village have outlasted Jonas, they have survived!
Hiruzen and Biwako embrace. When they were brought here Hiruzen quickly declared that Mirai should replace him in the captained-six contest because of her strange ability. Biwako shared this belief in their granddaughter. In the years since then their faith has paid off time after time. Now Naruto has shown that same ability after all this time and they are delighted. That faith and belief has been rewarded; the village has been saved. Their grandson's sacrifice wasn't for nothing.
'Dad, uncle, everyone, I hope you can see this,' Shinki says in his mind. 'It took a while but you were right. Naruto did save us. It took longer than anyone thought it would but he did save us. You were right dad, the 7th Hokage really can perform miracles.'
Mitsuki smiles subtly and Himawari encourages him to be happier still. When he revived her grandfather he bought the rebellion valuable time that was key to their survival. Mitsuki nods as Himawari continues to celebrate with everyone. He thinks back to Konohamaru's sacrifice that allowed them to escape the Hidden Leaf Village, he looks back to everyone who gave their lives to get Naruto here, to Juan, to Sora, to Sakura. They all meant something. They all believed in Naruto. They were all right.
Minato and Kushina don't know how best to express their excitement. Now everything is going to be OK, now Mito will grow up in a free Homeworld, now they don't need to fight anymore. They have fought for years to support their son so that he could get to this moment. He has done it, he has done what they always knew he could, he has defeated Jonas.
Sarada pulls Boruto close and doesn't let go. This war has torn them apart, now they don't need to worry about that anymore. They were responsible for the Leaf when this began. They are the 9th Hokage and the Shadow 9th Hokage. They were faced with the most powerful enemy in the history of the village and somehow they found a way to defeat that enemy. Somehow against all the odds they have saved the village and each other.
Sasuke looks to the sky. 'He did it Sakura. You didn't just believe Naruto, you believed in Naruto. I said that was dangerous, and maybe it can be, but now there is absolute proof of your beliefs. You were right to believe in him. We did it. We did it Sakura.'
Hinata looks away from her sister and to the man of the hour, he is still exhausted and on his back.
It is not a hypothetical title now, not for either of them. They are the 3rd Empress and Emperor of Homeworld now. The Returning Empress and the Pocket Emperor, they have really done it.
"Hey Naruto, does that noise mean what we think it does?" Kurama asks.
"Yes," Naruto answers. "Kurama, everyone.
"We won!"

Question: How strong will the fusion make Naruto?
Answer: As this chapter hopefully shows he is now beyond class 11.
Question: How was the "Furst" part of Furst Jonas determined?
Answer: Random name generator for german names. I didn't think of giving character's meaningful names until far too late. As far as I remember Ugokanai Mada was the only meaningful name, and that didn't work because of my mistranslation.
