With a pitiful whine, her werewolf of a boyfriend reluctantly stepped down from the plush leather, only to rest his heavy head on her lap instead. Narrowly defying her specific instructions was one of his favorite things, she was utterly convinced.
As much as she didn't want to reward his behavior, she couldn't resist the big, blue eyes that somehow managed to be adoring. Her fingers wound their way into the soft coat of his neck, an affectionate warmth filling her. "Brat."
Still, she sunk low into the couch, enjoying the odd cuddle she'd long adjusted to. Dealing with Klaus growing fangs and claws for a couple days a month was infinitely better than no Klaus at all.
"You're lucky you're cute," she said, scratching behind his ears.
He chuffed, lifting his head to boop his nose over her heart. Rolling her eyes, it did no good to fight a smile. "Yeah, yeah, I love you, too."
