Episode 363: Our Cup Runneth Over!
Several days have passed since Riolu had evolved into a Lucario and Sora caught himself a Bronzor. So far, there haven't been any signs of Hunter J, Etemon, AxeKnightmon, Lucemon, or the Royal Knights. As they pressed on their way, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, and the Digimon all made a stop for lunch. Pikachu and Angel were their own time alone."Aren't you glad we made a stop in this apot, Angel?" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Very glad, Pikachu. There so many flowers here and they're all so pretty." - Angel subtitle.
"Not as pretty as you, Angel Cake." - Pikachu subtitle Angel giggles as she like the pet name he gave her. Angel went and gave Pikachu some affetionate licks before she kissed him on the lips Pikachu kisses her back. He broke the kiss and went to pick a flower for her. Just when he went to pick the right one for her, a Pichu came around. Pichu grabbed the flower he was about to pick and ate it. "Hey, I was gonna pick that one!" - Pikachu subtitle.
"Tough rocks!" - Pichu subtitle. Pikachu couldn't understand why that little Pichu had such an attitude.
"What's your beef?" - Pikachu subtitle. Pichu didn't answer. It turned in the way it came.
"Pichu!" Pichu shouted. A boy with blue hair came out of the nearby bushes.
"Pichu! 'Sup, homeboy?" The boy asked.
"Pichu, Pichu!" Pichu said, pointing to Pikachu. He looked at what he was pointing at.
"Dig thr Pikachu! Rad find, yo!" The boy said.
"Pikachu, Angel!" Sora called out. He found Pikachu found the Pokémon couple.
"There you are. Kairi got finished making lunch and I came looking for you."
"Back off, Jack! Scratch for your own catch!" The boy snapped at Sora. He looked at him.
"What are you talking about? This is my Pikachu," Sora said.
The boy scoffed, "Yeah right!" He took out a Pokéball and threw it. "Go time! Booyah!" His Pokéball opens up and his Raichu came on out. "Iron Tail, go!" Raichu comes at Pikachu with Iron Tail.
"Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikachu swings at Raichu's Iron Tail to block it. He was impressed by Pikachu's strength.
"Wow, check that power! That's Pikachu's no untamed Pokémon, nope!" The boy said.
"What do you I have been telling you? This is my Pikachu!" Sora said.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Chil oput, yo, check it!" The boy said, taking out a Pokéball. "My Mareep for Pikachu, switch!"
"No," Sora quickly said. He took out two more Pokéballs.
"Then try this on! A Magneton and a Magnemite? We good?" The boy asked.
"Don't you get it? I said no!" Sora said.
"If he doesn't want to trade, you can't force him," Riku said, hearing what's going on. "So, if you want a Pikachu, then make your Pichu evolve."
"Eevee!" Eevee said.
"No way! I'm working on getting all three Pikachu evolution, yo! If I made my Pichu evolve then I would have to go and find a Pichu, dig?" The boy asked.
"No, we don't dig," Riku said. "and if I were you, I would cut my loss and move on and find a Pikachu of my own."
"I could do that, but they're hard to find around here. So, how we battle? And winner keeps that Pikachu," the boy said.
"Foreget it!" Sora dismissed him.
"Sup with that? My guys would all testify I'm being straight up. Or maybe your bailing beacuse you can't cut it," the boy said.
"He can cut it," Riku said. "I know because I seen him in action."
"That's a joke, right? Germs like you give real mean a bad rap!" The boy taunted.
"Don't be so sure," Riku said.
"How about I beat him, I'll deal with you, chump!" The boy said.
"Rai, Rai!" Raichu said.
"Sora, Pikachu, Angel!" Kairi called out to her boyfriend and the Pokémon. "It's time for lunch!"
"We can settle that after we eat," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu added. The boy blinked twice.
"Wait, seriously?" The boy asked.
"Seriously," Sora and Riku both said.
The boy followed them to lunch and he waited for them to get done eating. Kairi looked right at him.
"You sure you don't want anything, Sho?" Kairi asked the boy.
"I'm cool!" Sho said.
"Pichu," Pichu said.
"Rai," Raichu said.
He kept on waiting for them to finish up eating their lunch. Once Sora had finished eating and Pikachu got ready for the battle with Sho.
"You done yet?" Sho asked.
"Yeah, I'm done," Sora said.
"Good!" Sho said. Raichu got revved up.
"Rai!" Raichu said.
"My Raichu says it's going downtown with a one-hit KO!" Sho said.
"We'll see about that!" Sora said.
"Pika, Pikacu said.
"Noobs don't have far to fall!" Sho said. He didn't realize Sora is no noob. "Always let losers get in the frontlines!"
"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Pikachu dashed right at Raichu.
"You can't win by running all the way! Raichu! Thunder!" Sho ordered. Raichu fires Thunder at Pikachu. Raichu's Thunder misses him. "Say what?! Pikachu dodged that?!"
"Volt Tackle!" Sora ordered. Pikachu ran towards Raichu with a full force of his body with a trail of electricity follwoing him.
"Please! I'll show you what a real Volt Tackle looks and feels like! Raichu! Volt Tackle!" Sho ordered. Raichu ran towards Pikachu with a Volt Tackle of its own. The two mouse Pokémon collided with each other. Pikachu sends Pikachu back against a rock. "Now come at Pikachu with Iron Tail!" Raichu swings its tail to strike at Pikachu.
"Quick Attack, but go around!" Sora called out. Pikachu runs around the evolved mouse Pokémon. Raichu kept on missing its mark because of Pikachu's speed.
"Those outlined tricks ain't gonna work!" Sho taunted. Raichu smacked Pikachu hard with Iron Tail. "Big Bang boom!" Raichu sends Pikachu flying into the air. "Figure out where Pikachu is gonna land and use Volt Tackle!" Raichu comes at Pikachu with Volt Tackle.
"Iron Tail!" Sora calle dout. Pikachu swings his tail and uses it to block Raichu's Volt Tackle. He skids against. Pikachu lands on his feet. "Volt Tackle one more time!" Raichu comes at Pikachu with another Volt Tackle.
"Wait and then jump!" Sora called out. Pikachu waited for Raichu to get closer. Pikachu jumps out of the way of Raichu's Volt Tackle once he got close enough. He growled in frustration.
"Iron Tail! Make it last!" Sho ordered. Raichu swings Iron Tail right at Pikachu to land a hit.
"Circle around!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran around Raichu and it tries to land a hit with Iron Tail. Sora grinned when he saw how tired Raichu was getting. "Quick Attack!" Pikachu darts at Raichu with a lightning fast Quick Attack.
"That amatuer stuff is getting real old fast!" Sho hissed. "Yo, use Iron Tail!" Raichu jumped and swings its tail at Pikachu to land a hit.
"Dodge and use Iron Tail!" Sora called out. Pikachu avoids Raichu's Iron Tail and smacks his evolved form with an Iron Tail of his own.
"Use Thunder!" Sho ordered.
"Volt Tackle!" Sora called out. Pikachu ran towards Raichu with Volt Tackle and lands a successful hit. Raichu got back up and shook it off.
"See? Man, what a lightweight!" Sho said. "Use Hyper Beam!" Raichu pins Pikachu against a boulder and opens its mouth to fire Hyper Beam at Pikachu, hoping to finish him off.
"Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu unleashes Thunderbolt and it gets cut in half. Knowing Raichu won't be able to move right after using it, Sora had to finish this battle now. "Volt Tackle, followed by Iron Tail!" Pikachu ran towards Raichu with Volt Tackle. He then switches to Iron Tail, dealing some damage to him.
"I'm going to top you off! use Volt Tackle!" Sho ordered. Raichu came at Pikachu with Volt Tackle.
"You use Volt Tackle too!" Sora ordered. Pikachu and Raichu ran towards each other. When the two of them collided, they were evenly matched.
"What the?! Evenly matched?! But my Raichu should be all over Pikachu like a sunburn!" Sho said.
"There's more to battling than size, yo!" Sora said.
Sho, growled, "Time to put a cork in this bottle by using Iron Tail!" Raichu came at Pikachu with Iron Tail.
"You use Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Raichu came at Pikachu with Iron Tail. They clash their tails like swords. Pikachu got hold of Raichu's tail with his own tail and began to swing it around.
"I'm seeing things!" Sho said. Pikachu gave Raichu a throw against a nearby tree. Raichu slams right into the tree and he fell right on the ground. He was stunned by what he was seeing.
"Hyper Beam!" Sho ordered. Raichu attempted to pin Pikachu down, but he wasn't having that.
"Use the energy from Hyper Beam!" Sora called out. Pikachu waited for Raichu to fire Hyper Beam and he jumped and cruled into a ball and rolled. "Max power spin and Iron Tail!" Pikachu kept on rolling and lands a hit with Iron Tail. Raichu was at a loss for what was going on and he gets smacked hard by Iron Tail Raichu had been taken down at last.
"No way! Raichu!" Sho exclaimed.
"Pichu!" Pichu cried.
"Way to go, Pikachu!" Sora said. Pikachu smiled as he was praised by Sora. Sho and his Raichu went up to Sora.
"That was a badass battle, Sora. Your Pikachu rocks! Your whole crew do from what I seen," Sho said.
"So, you finally admit it?" Sora asked.
"I was wrong. I thought you were an amatuer. After seeing the way you got a handle on your Pikachu, I can see how wrong I was. You're no noob!" Sho said.
"Well, I have been at this for a long time," Sora said.
"Yeah, for about two years ever since Kingdom Hearts 3 came out," Meowth said in his thoughts, breaking the fourth wall again.
With that settled, Sho had a change of heart and promised Sora to another battle. And he promised that he will be the one to win it the next time.
A few days had passed since that battle. They continued on their way to Pastoria City when they made a stop over to the Pokémon Center and approached by a very familiar face. Lisia turned to see her friends. She smiled when she saw them all.
"Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ven, Terra, Aqua!" Lisia called out to them. Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, and Aqua all turned to see Lisia waving at them.
"Lisia!" Sora and Kairi said. She ran up to Sora and Kairi and gave them a great big hug.
"I can't believe it! I missed you!" Lisia said.
"We missed you too!" Kairi said.
"Haven't seen you since the Hoenn Pokémon League's closing ceremonies," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"I know. It feels like forever!" Lisia said. She looked over at Ventus. "Look at you, Ven! You gotten a little bit taller sine I last saw you!"
"Thanks!" Ventus said. He smiled as she rubbed his head.
"What brings you here in the Sinnoh region?" Terra asked.
"I'm here to meet with my uncle Wallace. The Wallace Cup is being held here in Lake Valor. And I brought some other friends of yours with me." That was the cue of more familair faces: the Alolan eight.
"Alola, Sora and Kairi!" The Alolan eight greeted. Their faces lit up.
"No way! Illima, Sophocles, Kiawe!" Sora said.
"Mallow, Lana, Acerola, Mina, Hapu! I don't believe it!" Kairi said.
"It's really you!" Ventus said. Hapu wrapped her arm around Ven's head and she noogies him.
"Come here, you!" Hapu said. He laughs.
"This is a great surprise! What are you doing here?!" Aqua asked.
"We came here with Lisia after getting to know her," Lana said.
"How do you know each other?" Sora asked.
"Well, it was about a week ago that I came in the Alola region for a vacation. The first one I met was Lana when she was riding on a Lapras when I was out swimming. When I introduced myself to her, she knew that I knew you since we met Professor Oak. So, I got to know all the others. Even Lillie, Elio, and Selene were right there with them," Lisia said.
"But what abot your Gyms?" Ventus asked.
"Our families are looking after them," Kiawe said.
"It was pretty busy, so we kept on getting challengers from left to right. It was pretty tiring," Hapu sighed.
"It was so stressful. We won some and we lost some," Sophocles said. He notices the Digimon with them. "Hey, what are those?" They all looked at the Digimon.
"Wait, aren't they?" Mallow asked.
"Yeah," Mina said.
"You must be Digimon. Lillie told us about you!" Illima said.
"She wasn't kidding!" Acerola said.
"It's nice to meet you at last. Sora has told us all about you," Agumon said.
"Riku told us about you too," Guilmon added. Lisia was surprised to see them with her friends, but they looked nice to her.
"Hello there! It's nice to meet you! I'm Lisia," Lisia said.
"It's nice to meet you too," Agumon said.
"Guys, meet the Digimon. Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Patamon, Salamon, Veemon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Lalamon, and Gaomon. Digimon, these are all our friends, Illima, Mallow, Kiawe, Lana, Sophocles, Mina, Acerola, Hapu, and you already know Lisia," Sora introduced.
"It's very nice to meet you," Lalamon said.
"I just can't get over how cute you guys are!" Mallow cooed. She took Lalamon in her arms.
"So, where's Lillie?" Ventus asked.
"She, Elio, and Selene have been sent into the Galar region to give some research pieces to Professeor Magnolia. Lillie wanted to say hello," Illima said.
"Anyway, we thought we check out a Pokémon Contest, just for fun," Mallow sadi.
"So did I," a familar voice spoke. They all sae it was Professor Burnet.
"Professor Burnet?' Riku asked.
"Hi Riku and Naminé. I tagged along with them since this will be the first time of witnessing a Pokémon Contest live. Give our students a hands-on experience. It may inspire me to bring a Grand Festival to Alola," Professor Burnet said.
"In other words, it's a field trip," Hapu said.
"Yeah," Mina said.
"This will be loads of fun," Acerola said.
The group went to the messhall and they shared some stories of their adventures in Sinnoh. Grotle, Chimchar, Prinplup, Lucario, Bronzor, Happiny, Hattrem, Vulpix, Sandshrew, and Pachirisu got to know the Alolan eight's Pokémon and Ali as they ate the Pokémon food Kairi had made for them.
"No surprise that you have four Sinnoh Gym Badges, Sora," Illima said.
"And the fact that you have three Contest Ribbons, Kairi," Hapu said.
"No surprise," Mina said.
"We were on our way to Pastoria City when we bumped into all of you," Sora said.
"It felt like years that we saw each other," Kairi said.
"Thanks! How is your grandma and your parents, Kairi?" Mallow asked.
"They're doing good the last time we heard from them," Kairi said.
"That's good to know," Mallow beamed.
"How about your families?" Sora asked.
"They're all doing great. Kiawe's still overprotective over his little sister," Acerola said.
"And Lana's little sisters are still full of energy as ever," Mallow added.
"No surprise," Kairi said. "Sarah and Harper so so cute! I am envious that you have such cute little sisters."
"So you kept on saying," Lana said.
"How about Gladion and Hau? You heard from them?" Sora asked.
"The last time we saw them was when they were in the Kalos region. They said they were taking on the Gyms there," Illima said.
"Always moving around," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
Just when they all talked, Professor Burnet smiled as she was happy to see those ten friends together again. Lisia was happy to know the friends of the couple traveling in Hoenn.
After the meal was over, Lisia wanted to ask Sora and Kairi something.
"Say, Sora, Kairi, I have something I wanna ask you," Lisia said. The couple looked right her.
"What?" Sora asked.
"Well, I was wondering if the both of you would like to be judges for the Wallace Cup? I mean, it'll be loads of fun. I heard Sora was a judge in the Pacifidlog Town Contest and in the Hearthrome City Contest as well. I mean, everyone already know who you are," Lisia said.
"Judges? Us?' Kairi asked.
"Yes. I'm sure uncle Wallace will be okay since you helped take on Team Magma and Team Aqua," Lisia said.
"Technically it was Rayquaza who put a stop to it," Sora said.
"I know, but he should be grateful for your help. And I'm sure you would like to sit together as Judges and enjoy it as a couple at the same time," Lisia said.
"Well, it'll be nice to watch a Contest instead of having to be watching separately like that one time," Sora said, recalling the Purika City Contest when May and Harley were competing. The funny thing about it is when the recording of Vector singing the Daisy, Daisy song.
"I think we should we should run it by him first, because we don't want you to get in trouble for finding volunteers without him knowing," Kairi said.
"I understand. He should be at Lake Valor right now," Lisia said. "But I wanna ask you that you keep it under wraps since he's taking a day off. I've been keeping ti from Illima and the others since I didn't want to draw in a big crowd, especially with the Digimon."
"Sure thing," Sora said.
Over to Terra, Aqua, and the Alolan eight, they had something important to tell them.
"You're a couple now?!" Mallow gasped.
"Yeah, but we're kinda keeping it a secret right now," Terra said.
"We decided to tell Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, and Ven when the time is right," Aqua added.
"I understand," Illima said.
"But still, I always knew you two were right for each other," Mallow said.
"Me too!" Lana, Acerola, Mina, and Hapu all said.
"How long have you been together?" Kiawe asked.
"Not too long," Terra said.
"We didn't want to make such a big deal out of it," Aqua said.
"It's a huge deal. If Lillie were here, I know she would bust a button when she hears it!" Sophocles said.
"She sure will. Sara, Mimi, Kari, Yolei, Jerri, and Zoe would too!" Acerola agreed.
Over to Ventus, Meowth, and the Digimon, they were watching TV in the Pokémon Center when Dawn came in.
"Ven!" Dawn said.
"Dawn!" Ventus said.
"What brings you here?" Ventus asked.
"I'm here to catch the Wallace Cup on TV. Are Sora, Kairi, and the others with you too?"
"Yeah. And some friends of ours too," Ventus said.
"Friends?" Dawn asked. Ventus nodded.
"We already met them. They're very nice," Palmon said.
"Very, very nice," Patamon said.
"And you'd like them," Gomamon said.
"Shh! It's starting!" Biyomon said.
Sinnoh Now comes on TV. Rhonda's voice is heard on the screen.
"It's Sinohhhhh!"
"NOW!"
Rhonda is sitting at her desl as Wallace is on the screen.
"Flash! That elegant Contest Master, Wallace, has finally made his appearence in our beautiful Sinnoh region! Best known as the young genious from the Hoenn region, Wallace rose to the level of Sootopolis City Gym Leader, and finally Champion Master of the Hoenn region! And because Wallace simply does not know the meaning of the word 'quit' this young man has already won the title of Top Contest Coordinator! Together with his trusted partner Milotic, this talented young man has achieved the impressive rak of Contest Master! The pride and envy of all Pokémon Coordinators! So in honor of his achievements, we're proud to bring you the exciting Pokémon Contest tht bears his name: the Wallace Cup! That's all comoing up after these messages. So...!" She points at the camera. "Don't you touch that dial!" It cuts to an advertisement for a taco resturant.
"That'll be hard if I had a dial to touch," Ventus said.
"Why not just change the channel?" Agumon asked.
"Just so I can get in trouble with Nurse Joy? No thanks!" Ventus said.
"That's a good reason," Dawn said.
The commercial ends as the camera points at Wallace on the screen. It was Marian's time on the screen.
"The time for this most special of Pokémon Contests, the Wallace Cup, is now! The location of which is estled on one of the three largest lakes in Sinnoh, Lake Valor, where we're now accepting entrants!" Marian announced. Wallace is on the screen
"So which one of you will prove to be rhe finest Coordinator in Sinnoh? I'm at Lake Valor to find out!" Wallace said.
"Lotic," Milotic chirped.
"Awesome! Can't believe Wallace is actually there!" Dawn said.
"That's what I heard," Ventus said. She looked right at Ventus.
"How do you know, Ven?" Dawn asked.
"His niece Lisia is here too," Ventus said.
"Lisia?! As in the Contest Idol?! First Kairi, and now Lisia! Pinch me, because I must be dreaming!" Dawn said. Terra, Aqua, and the Alolan eight came out to Ventus, Meowth, and the Digimon.
"Dawn!" Terra and Aqua said.
"Hey, Terra! Aqua! Where are Sora and Kairi?" Dawn asked.
"I think they went out on a stroll or something," Aqua said.
"Knowing them, that's what they'd do," Terra said.
"Yeah," Mina agreed. Dawn looked at the Alolan eight.
"Huh? Hi there!" Dawn greeted. "My name's Dawn."
"Alola, Dawn! It's nice to meet you!" Mallow greeted.
"Dawn, these are most of Sora and Kairi's former travel companions," Aqua said.
"I am Illima."
"I'm Mallow."
"My name's Kiawe."
"I'm Lana."
"I'm Sophocles."
"Mina."
"I'm Acerola."
"And I'm Hapu."
"It's nice to finally meet you! Sora and Kairi has told me all about you!" Dawn said.
"That's nice," Kiawe said.
"Dawn is a Pokémon Coordinator like Kairi is," Ventus told the Alolan eight.
"So, Kairi's got another rival," Mallow said.
Just then, Rhonda comes up to the group.
"Hey there! I know you three kids!" Rhonda said. She and her crew approach them.
"Rhonda?" Aqua asked.
"Hey there. I'm going to ask you that you didn't happen to see Contest Master Wallace hanging around here, did you?" Rhonda asked.
"Wallace here?" Terra asked.
"I thought he was at Lake Valor," Ventus said.
"Well, we are close to it and it's on the way to Pastoria City," Aqua said.
"To answer your question, we have not seen him," Illima said.
"Rhonda reguarly travels all over the Kanto and Hoenn regions holding the Pokémon Contest that bears his name! It's called the Wallace Cup, and as you can probably huess, Wallace is its main promoter! Also, the presitigious Wallace Cup ribbon counts as an official ribbon at any of the competitions all over the regions! This year's Wallace Cup is to be held right on Lake Valor!" Rhonda said.
"That's pretty much why we're here," Kiawe said.
"I was thinking of entering the Wallace Cup myself," Dawn said.
"That's great! We would like to see if any rival of Kairi in action," Kiawe said.
"I agree with him. It'll be loads of fun to watch," Lana said.
"Say Rhonda, what did you say about Wallace hanging around here somewhere?" Dawn asked.
"It's his day off, and because of that, his whole staff refuses to tell me where Wallace is. But my sources tell me he's somewhere around here," Rhonda said as Jack was having trouble holding the mike. Dawn was estatic to see him. "A shot of Wallace relaxing would be priceless, so needless to say, we've just got to find him! Now if any of you see him, you've got to let me know!" Jack accidentally conks her on the head. Will you cut out this nonsense and get a grip already?!"
"Sorry," Jack apoligized.
"We've got an exclusive to cover!" Rhonda said as she and her crew took off.
"You know something, I think Sora and Kairi went with Lisia to see Wallace," Terra said.
"My thought as well," Illima said.
"Maybe we should go look for him," Acerola said.
"Yeah, I wanna meet Lisia's uncle!" Sophocles said.
"Me too," Kiawe said.
"I would like to too, but I think we should stick around just in case any evil Digimon shows up and ruin anything," Agumon said.
"Also, we would like to hit the messhall again," Guilmon said.
"You guys had a big meal, how can you still be hungry?" Hapu asked.
"You never know," Veemon said.
With that said, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Dawn, and the Alolan eight went on to find Sora, Kairi, Lisia, and Wallace. Meowth and the Digimon went to have their meal in the messhall as Riku and Naminé were in the Pokémon Center speaking with his mom.
"So, how are things in Alola, mom?" Riku asked.
"Like you have to ask. I got to look after Lei whenever his parents went out their jobs. They named me his godmother, after all. I simply adore the little sweetheart," Yuna said.
"Yeah, that's what I thought you'd do. Are you looking after him now?" Riku asked.
"Not today. He's spending time with his daddy I'm afraid. But he promised to drop him off here tomorrow. I enjoy those times, because it was just like when you were a baby," Yuna cooed, making Riku blush. Naminé shared her boyfriend's mother's expression since she got to see his baby pictures. "Anyway, where are you right now?"
"Close to Lake Valor. That's where the Wallace Cup is being held," Riku said.
"You must be supporting your friend Kairi. And it's funny that I brought her up, because I am looking forward in meeting her parents someday," Yuna said.
"Well, maybe, if you weren't too busy babysitting, you could drop by. I'm sure they'll like getting to know you," Riku said.
"I would appreciate that," Yuna said. A knock is heard on the door. "Oh, I have to cut this call short. The washer I ordered had finally arrived! It was good talking to you again. You too, Naminé. Love you!" Yuna said.
"Love you too, mom," Riku said. They broke contact with each other. He turned to his girlfriend.
"My mom is never shy about looking after Lei," Riku said.
"No. I thought he was just as cute as the day we met him," Naminé said. She blushes as she started to think about the future of her and Riku being married and having their own child. She hoped that her first child would be a girl. The baby in Naminé's fantasy has Naminé's looks and Riku's silver hair. She snapped out of her fantasy when Nurse Joy appraoched the couple.
"Excuse me, your Pokémon are fighting fit," Nurse Joy said. Azurill jumped into Naminé's arms.
"Have you been good for the nice nurse?" Naminé asked.
"Rill," Azurill chirped.
"Your Azurill has been such a sweetie," Nurse Joy said.
Over to Lake Valor, Lisia led Sora, Kairi, Pikachu, and Angel to where her uncle is occupied. They had to be close by the soothing sound of Milotic's singing. They spotted Wallace by the lake's edge.
"Uncle Wallace!" Lisia called out. Wallace turend to see her niece and her friends. He smiled.
"Sora, Kairi. It's been a long time," Wallace said.
"Right back at you," Sora said.
"Uncle Wallace, there's something I wanna ask you, so they suggested that I should you first," Lisia said.
"What do you want to ask me?" Wallace asked. Lisia explained to her uncle that Sora and Kairi being volunteered as judges for the Wallace Cup. He chuckled. "Is that all?"
"Yes, uncle Wallace," Lisia said.
"We didn't want you to get mad at her for asking us to volunteer without your knowledge," Kairi said.
"I appreciate that you're looking out for her. I don't think you need a stamp of approval from me. They're more than welcome to be judges if that's what they want," Wallace said. Lisia turned to the couple.
"What do you think, Sora and Kairi?" Lisia asked. Sora and Kairi turned to each other and they nodded.
"I think it's a good idea. What do you think, Sora?" Kairi asked her boyfriend.
"If you're okay with it, then so am I," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
A little while later, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Dawn, and the Alolan eight ventured to find Sora, Kairi, and Lisia.
"Wallace should be around here somewhere," Sophocles said.
"I think I'm getting goosebumps," Mallow said.
"No more than me I bet, Dawn said.
Over to Wallace and his neice and her friends, they were watching as Milotic was taking the Pokémon couple for a ride when their friends all arrived.
"Dawn? When did you get here?" Kairi asked.
"Hi Kairi!" Dawn greeted. "I got to know your friends from Alola. They're very nice!" Dawn said.
"I told you that you would like them," Kairi said. Dawn spots Lisia with them.
"You're Lisia, the Contest Idol of Hoenn! I'm so happy to finally meet you at last!" Dawn said.
"Hi there. You must be Dawn. I've heard some things about you," Lisia said. She turned to her uncle. "Uncle Wallace, these are Sora and Kairi's former traveling companions and Gym Leaders from Alola also. Illima, Mallow, Kiawe, Lana, Sophocles, Acerola, Mina, and Hapu. The girl is Aqua and he's Terra. And this little sweetie here is Ventus, but we call him Ven."
"A pleasure to meet you," Wallace greeted.
"So, Kairi, are you going to be competing in the Wallace Cup?" Dawn asked.
"Actually, I was asked to be a judge for the Wallace Cup, along with Sora," Kairi said.
"It's true," Sora said.
"But I do want to wish you luck in the Wallace Cup," Kairi said.
"Thanks," Dawn said.
"So, Dawn, I would like to see your talent as a Coordinator," Wallace said. Dawn was shocked to hear that he wants to see her moves.
"Right now?" Dawn asked.
"That's great! We have been dying to see your skills," Acerola said.
"I wouldn't use that, ghost girl," Hapu said.
"And I have a way. You can have a battle against me," Kiawe said.
"Huh? Me against you?" Dawn asked in shock.
"Yeah. I wanna test you out and see if you're worthy of being recogized as Kairi's rival," Kiawe said.
"That's a good idea, Kiawe," Sora said.
"We don't we try it over here?" Wallace suggested, pointing them to a spot. The group went to a spot to have the practice battle. Dawn sttod before Kiawe as she took in a deep breath.
"Oh dear. I don't think I've been this nervous in my life," Dawn said. Kiawe took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Marowak!" Kiawe called out as Marowak came out twirling his bone.
"So, that's an Alolan Marowak. Kiawe must have done an excellent job in raising it," Wallace said.
"Yeah. I seen Marowak in action. Even before we met, Marowak has been a really stubborn battler, refusing to back down from any opponent," Sora said. Dawn took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Piplup! Spotlight!" Dawn called out as Piplup came on out and does a twirl upon entry.
"You can have the first move, Dawn!" Kiawe said. Marowak does a bring it on gesture.
"Piplup! Bubble Beam!" Dawn ordered. Piplup fires Bubble Beam right at the Alolan bone keeper Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Shadow Bone!" Kiawe ordered. Marowak dodged and came at Piplup with Shadow Bone. Wallace was impressed by Kiawe's skills and Marowak's spirit. "Now, use Bonemerang!" Marowak threw his bone at the penguin Pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Dawn ordered. Piplup avoids Marowak's bone. It starts to come right at him. "Behind you!" Piplup avoids the bone. "Now, use Peck!" Piplup comes at Marowak with Peck. Piplup lands a peck at Marowak.
"Marowak! Flare Blitz!" Kiawe ordered. Marowak taps his head with his bone and comes at Piplup with green flames surrounding him. Wallace saw the beauty in Kiawe's Flare Blitz. He was really amazed.
"That's excellent! The green flames brings out the best in Marowak," Wallace said.
"You're right. It's very beautiful," Lisia agreed.
"All right! Whirlpool!" Dawn ordered. Piplup forms a whirlpool above his head and collides with Marowak's Flare Blitz. Kiawe was impressed by Dawn's skills.
"You're amazing, Dawn You are worthy of being Kairi's rival," Kiawe said.
"Thanks, Kiawe. I'm flattered," Dawn said. Wallace claps his hands.
"Wow, wonderful performance, Marowak and Piplup!" Wallace said. "SHall we end it here?"
"Sure thing," Kiawe said. "Good work as always, Marowak," Kiawe said.
"Wak," Marowak said.
"Great going, Piplup!" Dawn praised her partner.
"Piplup!" Piplup beamed.
"I must say I am amazed by your Marowak, Kiawe. You raised your Marowak well. And the way it used its Flare Blitz attack would be something I would see in a Contest," Wallace said.
"Thanks, Wallace," Kiawe said.
"I agree with Wallace. I would like to see that in any Pokémon Contest," Illima said.
"What would you think of entering the Wallace Cup with Marowak as your partner, Kiawe?" Wallace asked. Kiawe was stunned to hear that the former Gym Leader of Sootopolis City suggest tht he enters it.
"Me?" Kiawe asked surprised.
"You know, that would be fun. It'll give the students in Alola's Pokémon School something exciting to see. A little entertainment on their field trip," Sora said.
"Hey, you know, you're right. I can show everyone an Alolan fire dance," Kiawe said.
"You know what? I think we should all enter it! It'll be super fun!" Mallow said.
"If Mallow's entering, then I'm entering!" Lana said.
"Yeah!" Mina said.
"Normally, I don't do these kind of things, but it should be good to try on new experiences," Hapu said.
"I could liek to get in on it too!" Sophocles said.
"Me too, me too!" Acerola said.
"I guess we're all entering," Illima said. "It has been since the P-1 Grand Prix since I entered a competition, so I shall enter it as well."
It turns out that the Alolan eight are all entering the Wallace Cup. Over to Rhonda and her crew, they were hiding in the nearby bushes.
"Wow, did you get that?" Rhonda asked.
"Not a bit. Battery was dead," the cameraman sheepishly replied. Rhonda growled in ager at the cameraman's incompetence.
"Nothing with Wallace and SoKai?" Rhonda asked. "I slaved my whole career for a poignant moment like this one and you have to ruin it with a dead battery!" She conks her head with the microphone and fell on the ground.
Over to the Pokémon Center, everyone filled Riku, Naminé, Meowth, and the Digimon about them competeing in the Wallace Cup and for Sora and Kairi acting as judges.
"I was not expecting this," Riku admitted.
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"Wallace was impressed by my skills and he suggested that I enter it with Marowak," Kiawe said.
"Also, we thought it'll be fun if we all tookpart of a friendly competition," Sophocles said.
"Yeah," Mina said.
"Yeah, that would be fun," Patamon agreed.
"Indeed. Though it won't be the same since Kairi has three Ribbons under her belt, but judging since she's a well-known Coordinator and won the Hoenn Grand Festival," Hawkmon said.
"I just wanna say that no matter who wins, no hard feelings, right?" Acerola asked.
"No hard feelings," Hapu said.
Lucas had shown up to the Pokémon Center. The group all turned to see him.
"Hey there, guys! How's it hanging?" Lucas asked.
"Lucas!" Sora and Ventus greeted.
"We're doing just great,' Sora said.
"So, what's new with you?" Lucas asked.
"Sora and Kairi will be judging in the Wallace Cup," Lisia said. She went up to him. "You must be Lucas. My name is Lisia."
"Nice to meet you," Lucas said.
"You too," Lisia said.
"Lucas, I want you to meet our friends from Alola. Meet Illima, Mallow, Lana, Sophocles, Kiawe, Mina, Acerola, and Hapu," Sora introduced.
"The ones we told you all about," Kairi added.
"Alola!" Lucas greeted.
"Alola!" The Alolan eight greeted back. Lucas turned to Dawn.
"Are you entering the Wallace Cup, Dawn?" Lucas asked.
"I am. And so are Kiaawe and the others," Dawn said.
"And we're hoping for a good competition," Mallow said.
"I'm looking forward to it," Lucas said. Nurse Joy approaches the group.
"Excuse me, but are any of you Sora and Kairi?" Nurse Joy asked.
"I'm Sora," Sora said.
"And I'm Kairi," Kairi said.
"A message asking for you to call the Pokémon Center in Snowpoint City has just come in," Nurse Joy said.
"Snowpoint City?" Sora asked.
"Yes. It's right here," Nurse Joy said, pointing to the location on the map. "It's Sinnohs farthest nothern city."
"Well, we should see who it is that's calling us," Sora said.
"Yeah," Kairi said.
The couple went to see who it was that's making contact with them.
Over in the Pokémon Center in Snowpoint City, three familair faces are sitting down on a couch. The Nurse Joy approaches the trio.
"It's a phone call. It's from Sora and Kairi from Pallet Town," Nurse Joy said. Lillie, Brendan, and May stood up.
Brendan wore a new outfit. His clothes have some green patches. He now wears a black and orange collared short sleeved shirt with a green backpack, orange fingerless gloves with black and green wristbands, a green headband, dark gray slim-fit long pants underneath with black and gray shorts, orange and green slip on running shoes with black soles and white stripes.
May also wore new outfit similar to Brendan's. Her new outfit consists of a sleeveless orange mini-tunic with a white stripe (along with two white pockets and a black collar), black lycra shorts, black ankle socks, white, black, and orange slip-on shoes, black and white gloves with green and black wristbands, and a green bandanna with a white logo. Her fanny pack is now green.
"Thanks!" May said as she her boyfriend, and Lillie stood up.
"We'll take it right now," Brendan said.
What a shocking development! Not only they meet Lisia again, but they also meet most of their former traveling companions again. Also, they're entering the Wallace Cup. And to make it more interesting, Lillie, Brendan, May are showing up as well. It's just one happy reunion after another! Who will be taking how the Wallace Cup ribbon? Find out as we go on!
