Episode 365: Staging a Heroes' Welcome!
The Wallace Cup was only a day away. Everyone was having fun in the festival taking place. Sora and Kairi were having their own date along with Pikachu and Angel and they were having such a great time.
Riku and Naminé were having their own date as the Alolan nine were getting enjoying the festivities. Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Brendan, May, Meowth, and the Digimon were enjoying some huge cookies with Lucas and Dawn..
"This is great!" Ventus said.
"Glad you like it, Ven," May said.
"I'm with Ven. This is the best big cookie I have ever eaten," Agumon said, taking a bite.
"Very tasty," Tentomon said. Lucas and Dawn looked at them, eating the cookies. Brendan and May looked right at them.
"Not hungry, you two?" May asked.
"It's not that. I know I've said this before but, it's just it's a thrill to meet you. Barry is going to be so jealous," Lucas said.
"Who's Barry?" Brendan asked.
"My best friend. And he was watching the battle along with me," Lucas said.
"I'm glad you both enjoyed it so much, Lucas," Brendan said.
Over to Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill, they were walking down the festivities as they bumped into a very familliar face.
"Riku, Naminé! Long time no see!" Zoey said.
"Zoey!" Naminé said.
"It's been a while. How have you been?" Riku asked.
"Ive been good. What brings you two here?" Zoey asked.
"Just having fun along with my girlfriend here," Riku said.
"Vee," Eevee said.
"Are you entering the Wallace Cup too?" Naminé asked.
"Yeah. Are Sora, Kairi, Lucas, Dawn, and the others here too?" Zoey asked.
"Yes. Sora and Kairi will be acting as judges along with Wallace and Lisia," Naminé said.
"No kidding," Zoey said. "It's not surprising that Sora will be judging since he judged the Hearthrome Contest," Zoey said.
"Yeah. And there some friends of ours who're taking part of it too," Riku said. With perfect timing, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, the Alolan nine, Brendan, May, Lucas, Dawn, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all show up.
"Zoey! Hey!" Dawn greeted.
"Hi Dawn. And the rest," Zoey greeted.
"Zoey, here's someone I want you to meet. This is May and her boyfriend Brendan. May's in the Wallace Cup too," Dawn said.
"We heard a lot of things about you," May said.
"It's nice to meet you," Brendan said.
"Back at you," Zoey said.
"And these are friends of mine, Kairi, Riku, and Naminé's from the Alola region. They used to travel with me and Kairi from Kanto and Johto. Meet Lillie, Illima, Mallow, Kiawe, Lana, Sophocles, Mina, Acerola, and Hapu," Sora introduced.
"Alola!" mallow greeted.
"We're in the Wallace Cup along with May and Dawn," Kiawe said.
"It's nice to meet you," Zoey said. "So, how do you know each other?" Zoey asked.
"Riku was in the same class as us along with a trainer named Hau," Lillie said.
"We also met Sora and Kairi when they were traveling in the Kanto region," Mallow said.
"Sora and Riku battled each other and Sora lost," Sophocles said.
"So, we traveled with them and ended up on all sorts of adventures," Lana said.
"By then we were enemies," Meowth said.
"I can imagine the adventures you went on," Zoey said. At the Pokémon Center, the Alolan nine told Zoey all about the adventures they shared with Sora and Kairi, like how they met Ventus, his family, Terra, Aqua, and how they used an Alolan charity dinner to help out Sora's relatives after it was wrecked by someone working for Stanley Silas. They shared with Zoey about when Sora, Riku, and Illima entered the P-1 Grand Prix in Kanto as Sora and Kiawe entered the Pokémon Sumo Competition and as Kairi had won the Poké Maiden Tournament, and how Sora and Lana entered the Whirl Cup and how Sora took home the gold during the PokéBrawl Royale, and about how they met Kairi's parents, and right up to when they left for home to set up a Pokémon League in Alola. Zoey was holding a picture that was taken before Sora and Kairi left for the Hoenn region. It shows them all along with all of their Pokémon at the time. "That was quite a story."
"It a memory that we will all share," Illima said. He took out his Wayfinder. The rest of the Alolan nine along with Sora and Kairi did the same thing.
"And we all found a way back to each other," Mina said.
"You said it, Mina," Mallow said.
"I'm so happy to hear your story," Dawn said.
"Also, Dawn and May told me that you knew Wallace when you were in the Hoenn region. How so?' Zoey asked.
"Kairi and I met Wallace when he was working with Steven Stone back in Hoenn. Wallace infiltrated Team Magma's base to try to stop them from waking up Groudon. Team Aqua was going to do the same thing with Kyogre with the Red and Blue Orbs. When their plan to make the world they wanted to create was foiled by Rayquaza. Just so no one else would use those orbs again, so we destroyed them both," Sora said. "And that was when Meowth joined us."
"We thought Jessie and James were dead until they showed up to foil Cassidy and Butch from stealing all of our Pokémon," Kairi said.
"We heard all about that from Riku," Lillie said.
"Gotta say we're glad that we don't have to worry about those bastards ever again," Hapu said.
"Anyway, it's getting late. We should get some rest for the Wallace Cup. We don't wanna be late for it," May said.
"Good call," Sophocles said.
They went on to bed to rest up for the Wallace Cup.
On the next morning, Sora and Kairi went off to be judges for the Wallace Cup along with Contesta, Suziko, and Lisia. May, Dawn, Zoey, and the Alolan nine were getting set for the Wallace Cup. Dawn wore the dress she wore in her previous Pokémon Contests. Professor Burnet has entered the arena along the students as they were about to have a look at a Pokémon Contest at work for the first time.
"I hope this will be entertaining for you all, students," Professor Burnet said. The students were anxious to see how it'll go.
May wore Arabic-themed pearl-pink veil which has a green gem at the top, pink top with saffron borders and heart on the chest area, lilac-purple skirt, saffron-colored necklace with a red heart-shaped gem, pink fabric in her waist, and brown flip-flop shoes with toe rings.
Zoey wore a dark magenta coat with a gold button and designs, white shirt, and dark magenta leggings.
Lillie wore a snowy white dress with white shoes and a white choker. She had her hair done in a bun.
Illima wore a Violet soldier uniform. Mallow wore a jungle green dress with a jungle green miniskirt. Kiawe wore an Alolan style fire dancer. Lana wore an outfit that made her look like a sailor. Sophocles wore a yellow suit with a red bow tie. Acerola wore a black dress that made her look like a vampire. Mina wore a magenta kimono with fairy wings in pink. And Hapu wore a mayan style outfit. She wore a golden headress like a Mayan priestess. The crowd were all cheering as the Wallace Cup has begun. Marian has entered the stage to make the announcement.
"Welcome to the Wallace Cup, hosted by the Contest Master himself, Wallace! And this year, our special event is taking place on the picturesque Valor Lakefront!" Marian announced as the crowd cheered. The young women were all cheering to hear as they all wore Wallace's signature white beret. Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua Brendan, Lucas, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Meowth, and the Digimon sat as they were looking around.
"It's a sea of cheering little white hats," Terriermon said.
"Wallace has got a flock of frenzied fans," Meowth said.
"And I thought Sora was popuar with the girls," Riku said.
"Well, Wallace is a Contest Master and he's he's no slouch," Riku said.
"Just how was Sora able to beat him as a Gym Leader?" Agumon asked.
"He didn't, because Wallace wasn't a Gym Leader anymore. That position went to Juan who used to be a Pokémon Coordinator," Riku said.
"I see," Agumon said.
Back stage, the Alolan nine had made up their minds of which one of their Pokémon they were going to use for the first round of the Wallace Cup.
"And now for the introduction you've ll been waiting for! Formerly, a Gym Leader, and currently a Champion Master! And still other times, he's a Top Coordinator! And you all know his name!" Marian announced. The water in the center pool erupts as his Milotic makes her entry by singing. The streams of water swirls around her as the crowd cheers hard. Milotic manipulates the water as Wallace has made his appearence, doing a kneel to the audience. "He's a true genius. The Contest Master Wallace!" He stands on his feet and he adresses the crowd.
"Hello, Sinnoh, and a big good morning!" Wallace greeted. The crowd roars extremely happily for Wallace. "I'm happy to welcome you to the Walalce Cup at beautiful Lake Valor! Everyone, stand up!" Milotic lands besides her trainer as the water shoots straight up.
All the Coordinators were at awe at the appearence.
"There he is!" Sophocles said
"Milotic looks beautiful!" May said.
"They're even more amazing when they're up on stage!" Dawn added.
"Yeah!" Mina added.
"So! Who will show us the most appeal in all of Sinnoh? I'm here to find out!" Wallace announced as the crowd cheered again.
Thank you, Wallace! And Wallace has graciously agreed to assist in evaluating our many performances by taking on the role of special judge for the day. That's great!Speaking of judges, we have our five other judges joining us here on the Wallace Cup and it makes me happy to introduce you to them all! First, someone you all know, Mr. Contesta!" Marian announced.
"I bid you good morning, and I'm looking forward to a spirited performance from everyone!" Contesta announced.
"Next up, it's the president of the Pokémon Fan Club, Mr. Suziko!" Marian added.
"Lake Valor's remarkable!" Suziko said.
"Next up is Hoenn's Contest Idol and Wallaces niece, Lisia!" Marian announced. Lisia smiled.
"It's always a joy to see you all come to view the show to your heart's content!" Lisia said.
"Next, joining us once again as a judge for this year's Wallace Cup, the Pokémon League Champion of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn, Sora Ketchum!" Marian announced.
"GOOOOOOOD morning Lake Valor! Let's all have fun here! That's what I came here to do!" Sora announced.
"And finally, the Top Coordinator who won the Hoenn Grand Festival as a first time judge, Kairi!" Marian announced.
"My heart's beating just a little faster just being here! Thank you!" Kairi announced.
"And I'm your announcer, Marian. It's a pleasure to be here with you today!" Marian announced. She took a bow as the crowd applauded. "So, let's show you what the winner of the Wallace Cup will receive!" She holds out the ribbon. "Presenting the faboulous Aqua Ribbon! Of course, this incredibly prestigious ribbon counts as a in Sinnoh, but it also counts in Kanto, Hoenn, and Johto too! So, to put it another way... This victory is one giant-sized step on the winding path to the Grand Festival!" The crowd cheers again. "As you all know, in order to compete in the Grand Festival, a Coordinator needs to garner five Contest Ribbons from a region, so you're going to see passion! All right then, let's do it! Let's see what our Coordinators and their Pokémon have got, as we head on over to the performance stage with our first entrant..." And that was May's cue to enter. "And here she is! Let's hear it for May!" May had entered the satge with a Pokéball in the Ball Capsule and with a pink Foamy Seal ready.
"Wartortle! Take the stage!" May called out. Wartortle came on out on the stage. Wartortle came out with a flurry of pink bubbles coming out.
"Hey, when did Squirtle evolve?" Ventus asked.
"About a month ago. It was during a Contest in Orre," Brendan said.
"To think that used to be May's little Squirtle," Aqua said.
"He was such a crybaby at the time," Terra said.
Over in Petalburg City, Max and his parents come to see the event on TV. The same can be said for Drew and Solidad when they're watching the event in a hotel in Orre. Over to Harley, he and the other patients were watching the event. The doctors and nurses were also watching. Harley had recovered a little bit. Over in Saffron City, Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Izzy, Sara, Mimi, Joe, Davis, Ken, Yolei, Cody, Amy, and Jun were also watching the Wallace Cup. In Vermillion City, Takuya, Koji, Kouichi, Zoe, Tommy, JP, Mime Jr., and Munchlax were also watching it. And in Celadon City, Takato, Hentry, Rika, Jeri, Kazu, Kenta, and Suzie were watching it with Guil and Impidimp.
"You can really see and feel the love shared between those two! And their adorable appea has already captured the hearts of our audience! Of course, Water Type Pokémon are welcome challengers here at the Wallace Cup! So, let's all watch and enjoy!" Marian announced.
"Wartortle! Rapid Spin! Go!" May ordered. Wartortle spins around on the water and does a bounce on the water.
"What a creative Rapid Spin! Wartortle is literally skipping across the water field, and those fans in the bottom rows are all being treated to a refreshing and beautiful spray of water!" Marian announced.
"Aqua Tail!" May ordered. Wartortle comes out of his shell and does an Aqua Tail spray all over the field, captivating the audience. It does a twirl all around.
"This is amazing! After leaping high in the air, Wartortle's Aqua Tail is spreading out over the whole stadium!" Marian announced. The rest of the contestants were watching backstage.
"May is just as good as I remember," Lillie said.
"Their really fantastic out there!" Lana said.
"They got the timing of that Aqua Tail down pat," Illima said.
"And May's doing a fabulous job of showing off her Wartortle's beautiful tail!" Zoey said.
"Finish up!" May called out. Wartortle slams his tail on the ground, making a huge beautiful splash. Wartortle spouts a little water in the air and makes a beautiful rainbow. May does a small pose.
"And an elegant splash of water for a striking finish! That's May and Wartortle!" Marian announced.
"Excellent work! Great technique and artistry, and I loved how Wartortle kept smiling the entire way through!" Contesta stated.
"Yes, remarkable!" Suziko said.
"One of the best water show I have ever seen!" Lisia said.
"It was quite a splash And very beautiful," Sora said.
"It was very stunning," Kairi said.
"Ah, the technique of using water as an effective way to bring out the best in Wartortle is a feast for the eyes!" Wallace said.
"Wow! Coming from a Champion like Wallace, that's awfully high praise!" Marian announced.
"Yeah, way to go, May!" Mallow cheered.
The contest went on as a few more Pokémon had gone in. It was Kiawe's turn since she was the first of the nine to go on.
"And joining us from Akala Island from the Alola region, we are proud to present you Akala's native son, and he prides himself with Fire Type Pokémon, it pleases me to present Kiawe!" Marian announced as Kiawe has entered the stage. His Pokéball was placed in a Ball Capsule with the Fire Seal.
"Marowak! Go!" Kiawe called out as his Marowak came out in orange flames. He twirls his bone upon entry. "You know what to do, Marowak! Shadow Bone!" Marowak begins by using Shadow Bone.
"Marowak has begun with its Shadow Bone! Marowak gives us a good view of its signature move!" Marian announced.
"Use Bonemerang on the flames!" Kiawe ordered. Marowak threw his bone at the flames and the edges of the bone are covered in the flames as Marowak does a fire dance.
"Now, Marowak is giving us an Alolan fire dance! How wonderful!" Marian announced.
"Wrap it up with Flare Blitz!" Kiawe ordered. Marowak jumps into the air and as the green flames mixes with the oranges flames. A mixture of orange and green wowed the audience. The flames subsided as Marowak has finished.
"That was fantastic! You can see the fierce determination of both of Kiawe and Marowak! Let's hear what our judges have to say!" Marian announced.
"The way Marowak uses the flames to move about in the flames was truly spectacular! It shows how well Kiawe has raised his Marowak!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"It was a wonderful performance! It was like I was watching an actual Alola fire dance!" Lisia said.
"Kiawe has given us quite a show!" Sora said.
"The best Fire Dance I have ever seen!" Kairi said. The crowd applauds Kiawe for his performance.
"A well accomplished team both Kiawe and Marowak are!" Wallace said.
"And what a wonderul performance by Kiawe and his wonderful Marowak!" Marian announced. Kiawe took his leave as Sophocles was coming up next. "And now it's time for our next Coordinator! Let's give a warm welcome to Sophocles!" Sophocles entered the stage and he took out a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Green EleSeal. He threw it.
"Come on out, Electrode!" Sophocles called out. Electrode came out with green electricity emerging with the ball Pokémon. "Start things up with your Charge!" Electrode begins charging up electricity in its body.
"Electrode is building up electric energy! What could he be up to?" Marian asked.
"Now, Rollout!" Electrode rools around the stage. "Now, use Thunder while using Rollout!" Electrode unleashes Thunder as the electric attack follows the ball Pokémon in the air.
"An electrifying combo with Rollout and Thunder! The sparks are literally flying!" Marian announced.
"Now, stop!" Sophocles called out. Electrode stops rolling and the electricity sparkles as it levitates the ball Pokémon in the air.
"And a good way to finish up a performamce!" Marian announced.
"This creative way of using Rollout and Thunder has set me at the edge of my seat! Electrode has shown real potential!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"It was so fun to watch, I was getting dizzy just watching Electrode!" Lisia said.
"Using Charge before using Rollout and Thunder was really enjoyable!" Sora said.
"Sophocles should be proud of his Electrode!" Kairi said.
"It was truly electrifying! Well done!" Wallace said.
"And there you have it!" Marian announced. Sophocles took his leave as Lillie was going on next. "And next, we have Lillie!" Lillie enters the stage as her Pokéball is placed in a Ball Capsule with a White Smoke Seal.
"Snowy, come out!" Lillie called out as Snowy came out with a white smoke. Snowy lets out her cry.
"And now we see her Vulpix! An Alolan Vulpix to be exact! The cute and adorable appearence of this Vulpix has captured the hearts of our audience!" Marian announced.
"Snowy, use Powder Snow on the smoke!" Lillie ordered. Snowy uses Powder Snow on the smoke, making it turn into a gray cloud. "Now, use Ice Beam!" Snowy unleashes Ice Beam and it begins to snow.
"Vulpix is making it snow right here on the stage! It's so lovely!" Marian announced.
"Now, use Aurora Veil!" Lillie ordered. Snowy lets out another cry as she unleashes a rainbow-colored aura all around. It was very beautiful.
"And what a beautiful finish!" Marian announced.
"Christmas might have come early this year because of the snowy atmosphere!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"It really felt like winter as her Vulpix uses Powder Snow and Ice Beam in a cloud. Such beautiful snow!" Lisia said.
"I'm with Contesta, it did have a Christmas vibe! No pun intended, it was really cool!" Sora said.
"A true winter wonderland!" Kairi added.
"A dazzling display from her Vulpix. I can see the love between her and her Vulpix. She has done a wonderful job!" Wallace said.
"And there you have it! Let's all give a big hand to Lillie and her wonderful Vulpix!" Marian announced.
"Wow, Lillie is a natural," Lucas said.
"I'll say. It wouldn't surprise me if she started to compete in more Contests," Riku said.
The Contest went on as several more Coordinators had shown off their skills. It was now down to Acerola.
"And now, we have our next contestant! Let's all give a haunting welcome to Acerola!" Marian announced. Acerola came out with a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a black Smoke Seal.
"Go! Mimikyu!" Acerola came on out as Mimikyu emerges from the smoke upon entry. Mimikyu's eyes gave off a yellow glow as the smoke cleared.
"I'm getting the chills from Mimikyu's appearence from that black smoke! Very haunting!" Marian announced.
Backtage, Dawn was shivering in fright.
"Mimikyu's scary," Dawn shivered.
"That's what you would expect from a Ghost Type like Mimikyu," Illima said.
"Begin with Shadow Ball!" Acerola ordered. Mimikyu fires several Shadow Balls into the air.
"Mimikyu is beginning with Shadow Ball! And they're right up in the air!" Marian announced.
"Shadow Claw on one!" Acerola ordered. Mimikyu jumps in the air and slashes one Shadow Ball with her shadowy claw. The ball of shadow goes right up. "Now, use Wood Hammer on another!" Mimikyu swings her tail at another Shadow and it heads right up and it collides with the first one and it gets bigger. "Use Wood Hammer on the rest!" Mimikyu knocks the Shadow Balls right into the big one and the ball of shadow was getting bigger from each one.
"Mimikyu's Shadow Ball is getting bigger and bigger from the Shadow Balls being used!" Marian announced.
"Play Rough!" Acerola ordered. Mimikyu leapt right at the huge ball of shadow and began to beat it as the ball of shadow pops as Mimikyu makes a landing on her feet.
"Mimikyu finishes with Play Rough on that giant Shadow Ball! Let's hear from our judges!" Marian announced.
"The way Mimikyu has used Shadow Ball, Wood Hammer, and Shadow Claw is very creative! Well done!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"Mimikyu's Play Rough at the end was astounding!" Lisia said.
"The big Shadow Ball was awesome! I don't doubt that took some time to work on!" Sora said.
"Acerola has done a wonderful job raising Mimikyu!" Kairi said.
"Acerola's performace has proven to me that she has shown the true potential of a Ghost Type!" Wallace said. Acerola and Mimikyu gave a high-five to each other after that performance.
"And now, we have another treat for you! Let's hear it for Lana!" Marian entered the stage with her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a blue Foam Seal.
"Popplio! Go!" Lana called out as she has let out her Popplio. "Make a balloon!" Popplio began to blow several bubbles from its nose.
"What a cute way to open up a performance! Popplio is making so many balloons on the stage!" Marian announced.
"Now, use Bubble Beam all around!" Lana ordered. Popplio fires Bubble Beam all over the stage, making it so bubbly than before. "Now, use Aqua Jet!" Popplio uses Aqua Jet and the bubbles follows the sea lion Pokémon all around.
"Popplio is using Aqua Jet to make the bubbles follow it all around! Truly breathtaking!" Marian announced.
"Now, Surf!" Lana ordered. Popplio uses Surf and it takes all the bubbles as they float around. It was looking like a bubble bath.
"And a wonderful way to finish up a performance! What do our judges have to say?" Marian asked.
"Lana has obviously been spending some time perfecting that display!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko said.
"It's the cutest thing I have ever seen!" Lisia said.
"Gotta hand it to Lana, when it comes to Water Types, she doesn't mess around! I enjoyed the bubbles following Aqua Jet!" Sora said.
"Watching Lana's performance was like having a nice bubble bath!" Kairi said.
"Lana has real potential for Water Type Pokémon! I should consider it an honor to be one with her!" Wallace said. Lana beamed, knowing she has gained Wallace's respect.
"Let's give a big hand to Lana and her cute little Popplio!" Marian announced. The crowd applauded as Lana took her leave. "And here's our next entry! Let's see what Zoey has to show us!" Zoey took out a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a Fire Seal.
"Finneon! Let's go!" Zoey called out as Finneon came on out and does a twirl. "Use Silver Wind!" Finneon came out of the water and unleashes Silver Wind all around.
"You can all understand why it's called the Beautifly of the Sea with this lovely Silver Wind!" Marian announced.
"Now, use Safeguard!" Zoey announced. Finneon uses Safeguard while in the water and it gave off a beautiful glow.
"Gorgeous! Spectactular! The sparkle from the shine of its body, combined with the glow of the Safeguard, really shows off Finneon's beauty and elegance!" Marian announced.
"What a way to show Finneon off!" Mallow said.
"Gorgeous!" Lillie said.
"Sure is! Perfect!" May agreed.
"I'll say!" Lana said.
"Waterfall!" Zoey ordered. Finneon uses Watrfall to manipulate the water and make it go up as Finneon swims along with the water.
"Now there's some really big action!" Marian announced as the water subsided as Finneon gave off a majestic glow.
"And it's Waterfall for a beautiful finish!" Marian announced. The crowd applauds Zoey for her performance. Fiineon dives back in the water and emerges to face the audience. "Zoey and Finneon! A tremndous performance!"
"I really loved the amazong way their artistic effort built on itself!" Contesta said.
"Me too! Remarkable!" Suziko sadi.
"Her Finneon is as beautiful and well trained as I've ever seen!" Lisia said.
"That Waterfall stunt she pulled is the icing on the cake!" Sora said.
"I'm thinking the same way! Truly stunning!" Kairi said.
"Indeed! A truly lovely sight! Today we have been given a real gift!" Wallace said.
"And now, it's time for our next performer to make it on stage! It's now Mallow!" Marian announced as Mallow came out out. Mallow came out with her Pokéball placed in a Ball Capsule with a purple Petal Seal.
"Go! Tsareena!" Mallow called out as Tsareena came out of her Pokéball with purple flower petals. "Begin with your Sweet Scent!" Tsareena fills the air with Sweet Scent. The Digimon were captivated by the scent of Tsareena's Sweet Scent.
"What a way to begin one's performance with Sweet Scent! It smells like heaven!" Marian announced.
"I'll say!" The Digimon beamed.
"Now, use Magical Leaf!" Mallow ordered. Tsareena began using Magical Leaf and the leaves go right up in the air. The leaves mixes well with the purple petals.
"So beautiful! Tsareena's Magical Leaf witht he flower petals makes it so beautiful!" Marian announced.
"Now, use Dazzling Gleam!" Mallow ordered. Tsareena forms a rainbow aura from her body and hurls it right up at Magical Leaf and the petals. Tsareena was being circled by the leaves and petals.
"And a wonderful finish with Dazzling Gleam! It's just as dazzling as the move is called!" Marian announced.
"Tsareena's Magical Leaf with the flower petals was wonderful and beautiful!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko said.
"It gave off a tropical feeling from that beautiful combo!" Lisia said.
"Starting off with Sweet Scent is a good way to set the mood!" Sora said.
"It was very pleasing to the nostrils!" Kairi said.
"Agreed. A beautiful performance from such a beautiful Pokémon!" Wallace said.
"And a wonderful performance from Mallow and Tsareena!" Marian announced. "And now, coming up next is Illima!" Illima enters the stage as he takes out a Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a yellow Star Party Seal.
"Come forth, Bewear!" Illima came out as Bewear came out with stars coming out. "Focus Blast!" Bewear forms a ball of ball of energy and hurls it right up as the stars swirls around the Focus Blast.
"Bewear starts off with Focus Blast! And the stars! So cosmic!" Marian announced.
"Now, use Giga Impact!" Illima ordered. Bewear came at the ball with stars with Giga Impact and the stars and Focus Blast with the stars goes around as Bewear does a stance.
"And Bewear wraps up with Giga Impact! How about a word from our judges?" Marian asked.
"Focus Blast was brilliantly delivered! The stars in effect were outstanding!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko added.
"It was so incredible!" Lisia said.
"And not to mention, epically awesome!" Sora said.
"Bewear is a force to be reckoned with!" Kairi said.
"Indeed! It was well done!" Wallace said.
"And there you have it! Up next is our next Contestant! Meet Mina!" Marian announced. Mina came on stage with her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule and with a white Party seal.
"Clefairy! Go!" Mina called out as her Clefairy came on out.
"Moonblast!" Mina ordered. Clefairy jumped in the air and formed a ball of pink energy and hurls it into the air.
"Clefairy starts off with a Moonblast! And a beautiful Moonblast of I may add!" Marian announced.
"Metoer Mash!" Mina ordered. Clefairy jumped and lands Meteor Mash onto the Moonblast and it came on down. Clefairy lands on Moonblast and does a twirl.
"Clefairy is doing a cute little spin on its own attack!" Marian announced.
"Wrap it up with Disarming Voice!" Mina ordered as Clefairy lets out Disarming Voice and it gave off sparkles onto Moonblast.
"And Clefairy finishes up with Disarming Voice onto Moonblast!" Marian announced.
"The use of Moonblast and Meteor Mash was very creative! Most excellent!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko said.
"Clefairy's entrance so very adorable! And the same came be said for the finish!" Lisia said.
"Clefairy's Disarming Voice in the finish was really something! Very sparkly!" Sora said.
"Clefairy's movements while doing those moves made Clefairy even cuter!" Kairi said.
"It was well done!" Wallace said.
"And now, for our next entry, we have Hapu!" Marian came out as Hapu came on out with her Pokéball in a Ball Capsule with a yellow Line Seal. She threw it.
"Go! Mudsdale!" Hapu called out as her Mudsdale came out with yellow lines coming out as Mudsdale gave off a powerful whinnie. Hapu jumps onto Mudsdale's back. "Start things up with Mud Bomb!" Mudsdale fires Mudsdale onto the air. The mud comes on down. "High Horsepower!" Mudsdale whinnies as the draft horse Pokémon charges with an orange aura and lands a blow into the mud.
"Mudsdale is plowing through that mud with its trainer on its back! An incredible use of power!" Marian announced.
"Mud Bomb again! And then, use Mega Kick!" Hapu ordered. Mudsdale fired Mud Bomb once again. Mudsdale then lands a kick onto the mud.
"Another good use of Mud Bomb and adding in Mega Kick!" Marian announced.
"Mudsdale has shown off a great display of power!" Contesta said.
"Remarkable!" Suziko said.
"The way Hapu was riding on Mudsdale like that is a sign that those two share an unbreakable bond!" Lisia said.
"Those were cool! Combos!" Sora said.
"Hapu should be proud of her Mudsdale for their hard work!" Kairi said.
"I agree! Hapu and Mudsdale are a compatible team! She has raised it well!" Wallace said.
"And there you have it! Mudsdale and Hapu have made a triumphantly accomplished victory!" Marian announced.
Dwn was up next. Hapu was coming backstage as Daawn went up to her. She smiled.
"You and Mudsdale were amazing, Hapu," Dawn said.
"Thanks, Dawn. I'm looking forward to seeing you in action," Hapu said.
I won't disappoint you, Hapu. I won't disappoint any of you," Dawn said.
"You better not," Hapu said. She and Dawn high-fived each other.
"Now it's time for our next entry! Go! Dawn!" Marian announced as Dawn came on stage with her Pokéball with a pink Heart Seal.
"Ambipom! Spotlight!" DAwn called out as her Ambipom came on out in an explosion of pink hearts. Ambipom does a small swirl upon entry and lands on her two tails.
"Ambipom looks just as ready to preform, as the audience is ready to watch!" Marian announced. Over in Twilnleaf Town, Joanne and Glameow are watching on TV. Elsewhere, Kenny is also watching.
"Use Double Hit!" Dawn ordered. Ambipom uses Double Hit in the air.
"That Double Hit can hardly be seen by the naked eye! A great way to show off that amazing tail!" Marian announced.
"That's the weay! Show off Ambipom's true nature! Keep it simple and beautiful!" Zoey said.
"Now, use Swift!" Dawn ordered. Ambipom fires Swift right in the water and they make a splash in the water. "Finish up with Focus Punch!" The force of Ambipom's Focus Punch makes its way to the wall as two streams of water makes a splash and causes some of the audience to move out of the way of the water before they could get wet.
"They finish with a Flurry! using Focus Punch that covers the whole field!" Marian announced as Ambipom does a twirl and she and Dawn does a pose.
"Dawn nailed it!" Sophocles said.
"Well! The controlled power coupled with the Coordinator's flawless timing were amazing to behold!" Contesta said.
"And, remarkable!" Suziko dded.
"They really showed off how adorable Ambipom truly can be!" Lisia said.
"Ambipom's two tails on the water was so amazing!" Sora said.
"Absolutely! Dawn has done an excellent job!" Kairi said.
"Power and technique even cuteness! Thank you for a delightful show!" Wllace said.
"And with that invigorating performance, we come to the conclusion of our thrilling first round! So stay tuned for the announcements from the judges! I wouldn't want their job right now!" Marian announced.
Somewhere at the stadium two Digimon were watching the whole thing from start to finish. One of them is a humanoid Digimon with a body made of gray rocks. He has yellow eyes and two rocks on his head that resemble bear ears. He has three fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. And the other one is a humanoid Digimon with a pumpkin for a head with an axe stuck in it and has a plush toy body. He is also wearing a green cape.
"Did you see that, Pumpkinmon! This is what those humans call a Pokémon Contest!" The rock Digimon said.
"Yeah, you said it Gotsumon! It's even more fun to watch than we heard!" Pumpkinmon said.
Dawn came backstage as May, Zoey, and the Alolan nine were waiting for her.
"So, how'd I do?" Dawn asked.
"You have done incredibly well, Dawn!" Illima said.
"Yeah!" Mina said.
"You were having fun out there!" Kiawe said.
"He's right, and we were able to do the same!" Zoey said.
"It was so much fun to watch!" May said.
"Thanks a lot, everyone, Dawn said smiling. Everyone all turned to see Marian on the screen.
"Sorry to have kept you all waiting! But the judges did come to a decision! And so, after a lengthly discussion, the Coordinators moving on tomorrow to the exciting second stage will be..." Marian announcedthe computer selects the sixteen finalists moving on in the finals, it turns out that the Alolan nine, May, Dawn, and Zoey will be moving on, "the sixteen lucky Coordinators you see here!" The Alolan nine were astounded to see that they have all made it to the finals.
"Do you see that?" Lana asked.
"We all made it in!" Lillie said.
"Wow, I knew Kiawe would make it in, but I didn't expect that I would too!" Sophocles said.
"I'm thinking the same thing!" Hapu said.
"Looks like the real competition starts," Zoey said.
"How right you are, Zoey! This will be loads of fun to be a part of it!" Acerola said.
