A Year of Drabbles - Teen Titans Edition

A Years' End

Swing a leg back and forth over the gap beneath him, Beast Boy looked out at the expanse that was Jump City.

"Can't sleep?"

Shaking his head gently, the green teen patted the plank beside him.

"Jus' thinking."

"Oh? About what?" Robin asked, taking the seat indicated.

"How many years do you think we've got left?"

"That's a bit morbid. A lot, I hope," he replied, sounding more than a bit confused.

"I mean the Titans, Dick," Beast Boy replied, rolling his eyes. "This is the end of our first year as a team, and realistically, I'm not too sure how long we're gonna have left."

Sighing himself, Robin nodded. It was true. While it was only a year, in a Hero's lifetime, that was like a decade. And the five of them were quickly getting closer to an age too old to be considered 'Teens'.

"Realistically, we shouldn't've made it past four months. But, here we are, so I'd say the odds are in our favour for a bit longer," the older teen replied with a light smile.

"I hope so. I mean, it's been one Hell of a year," Beast Boy chuckled back.

"Yeah. It has."
