Episode 377: Paul's Rage!
Several days have passed by since dealing with Team Galactic. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Eevee, Angel, Meowth, Azurill, and the Digimon continged on their way. Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon were leaving to keep an eye out for Team for Galactic or Myotismon's forces.
"So, you can't stick around, RIku?" Sora asked.
"No, sorry, can't. But we'll meet you up in Snowpoint City," Riku said.
"Unless it's urget, we'll contact you or you'll contac us," Naminé said.
"Okayt. Just be careful out there," Aqua said.
With that said, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, Azurill, Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon, Lopmon, Gaomon, and Lalamon had laft, so Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon continued on their way to Canalave City.
As the group moved on, they had bumped into a teenager, who has green eyes and green hair, which has a long cowlick. He wore a black tank with orange lines, orange pants with a white belt, and white shoes with orange soles.
"Hey there. Where are you heading to in such short notice?" The teenager asked.
"We're on our way to Canalave City," Sira said. The teenager looked right at him. "Uh, something I can help you with, dude?"
"You wouldn't be Sora, right?" The teenager asked.
"Yeah," Sora said.
"I thought so. Lucian told me about you," the teenager said.
"You know Lucian from the Eliete Four?" Ventus asked.
"Yeah. I'm Aaron, and I'm with the Elite Four," Aaron said. He looked right at Kairi. "And I know you. You're Kairi, the girl Bertha told me about. She told me that you won the Hoenn Grand Festival." He even looked at the Digimon. "And you must be those Digimon I been hearing about. Lucian mentioned he met you too."
"It's nice to meet you, Aaron," Kairi said.
"Does the whole Elite Four know about us?" Ventus asked.
"Yeah they do. Flint is next to meet and he uses Fire Types. And I use Bug Types," Aaron said.
"So, Aaron, what brings you here?" Sora asked.
"Just doing some training for my battle with Cynthia," Aaron said.
"Wait, so you're her next challenge?" Tentomon asked.
"That's right. I've been training for a while to battle against her. Wait, you know Cynthia?" Arron asked.
"Yeah. We met her before. We even met her again in Celestic Town," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I never would have guessed. Also, Lucian told me that yo're a good trainer, so how about a practice match against me?" Aaron asked.
"Well, okay. I coud use a warm-up for my Gym battle," Sora said.
"How many Gym Badges have you won so far, Sora?" Aaron asked.
"Five," Sora answered.
"So, if you beat Byron, you would have six," Aaron said.
Both traners agreed to a practice battle. It didn't take long until word got around a nearby town that Aaron of the Elite Four was having a practice battle with Sora. Aaron's fans were coming around, but they were also Sora fans, so they were cheering for the both of them.
"Hey, Aaron, may the best trainer win, right?" Sora asked.
"Sure thing, Sora. How about we make it three-on-three," Aaron suggested.
"You got it," Sora asked. Aaron had chosen Drapion, Vespiquen, and Beautifly as Sora has chosen Raboot, Monferno, and Pikachu. Aaron wasn't surprised that Sora has chosen Fire Types against him.
"You can do it, Sora!" Kairi cheered.
"You make the first choice, Sora," Aaron offered. Sora looked to Monferno.
"You're going in first, Monferno," Sora said. Monferno moved in to battle. Aaron looked at Vespiquen.
"Okay, Vespiquen, you're first," Aaron said. Vespiquen hovered into the battlefield to battle.
"Monferno! Flamethrower!" Sora ordered. Monferno fires Flamethrower right at Vepsquen.
"Vespiquen! Defend Order!" Aaron ordered. Vespquen calls for bee-like projectiles and blocks Monferno's Flamethrower.
"Oh," Sora said.
"Vespiquen, use Slash!" Aaron ordered. Vespiquen came at Monferno and slashe into Monferno "Now, use Attack Order!" Vespiquen summons the bee-like projectiles and sends them to attack Monferno. The playful Pokémon is struck by the bees "Now, Slash!" Vespiquen slashes right at Monferno, earning a knock out. The girls all cheer as Aaron has taken the lead. Sora calls Monferno back and he loooked right at Raboot.
"Your turn, Raboot," Sora said. Raboot nodded and entered the battlefield.
"Okay, Vespiquen, come back," Aaron called out. Vespiquen returns to Aaron's side. He looked at Drapion. "You're up, Drapion." THe ogre scorpion Pokémon went out to battle the rabbit Pokémon.
"Use Flame Charge!" Sora ordered. Raboot charges at Drapion with Flame Charge.
"Use Aerial Ace!" Aaron ordered. Drapion avoids Raboot and darts at Raboot with Aerial Ace. "Now, use Cross Poison!" Drapion slashes at Raboot with Cross Poison. Raboot has become poisoned. "Now, use X-Scissor!" Drapion slashes at Raboot with X-Scissor and earned a knock out. Sora calls Raboot. He looked right at Pikachu.
"You're up, Pikachu," Sora said.
"Chu," Pikachu said, entering the battlefield.
"So, it's Pikachu for last. And in you go, Beautifly," Aaron said. Beautifly flew right in.
"Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" Sora ordered. Pikachu fires Thunderbolt to strike Beautifly.
"Beautifly! Use Psychic!" Aaron ordered. Beautifly uses Psychic to block Thunderbolt and sends it back at Pikachu.
"Quick, Pikachu! Use your tail as a lightning rod!" Sora called out. Pikachu raises his tail and his own attack struck him by the tail. Pikachu's tail lit up.
"Pi," Pikachu said.
"Using Pikachu's tail as a lightning rod to absorb the attack. Nice," Aaron said. "Beautifly! Energy Ball!" Aaron ordered. Beautifly forms a ball of green energy and sends it at Pikachu.
"Block with Iron Tail!" Sora ordered. Pikahu jumps and bats Energy Ball like a baseball. "Use Volt Tackle!" Pikachu ran towards the butterfly Pokémon with great speed and electricity.
"Dodge and use Bug Buzz!" Aaron ordered. Beautifly avoids Pikachu's Volt Tackle and unleashed Bug Buzz at Pikachu. "Use Shadow Ball!" Beautifly fires Shadow Ball at the mouse Pokémon.
"Quick Attack!" Sora ordered as Beautifly easily dodges. "Uh-oh."
"Beautifly! Psychic!" Aaron ordered. Beautifly grabs Pikachu and tosses the mouse Pokémon like a sock and gave him a slam on the ground. Sora had lost the battle against Aaron of the Elite Four. It was no surprise to him since he lost to Lucian. All the girls were cheering for Aaron as he had won. They also felt bad that Sora had lost, but Kairi didn't care that her boyfriend had won or lost. Sora and Aaron shook hands.
"Good practice battle, Aaron," Sora said.
"You too, Sora," Aaron said.
"Best of luck in your battle against Cynthia. Just know we'll be rooting for the both of you," Sora said. Aaron smiled when Sora wished him and Cynthia luck.
The group made their way to a nearby Pokémon Center to have them healed up. In the meantime, Kairi was approached by a girl with five Pokémon that the group has never seen before. They tiny white fairy-like creature that lives upon a flowers being red, blue, orange, yellow, and white. Each one of them has a green lower body with a single stem-like leg and white upper body with two thin arms. They have a white head, long heart-shaped ears, a pointed nose, red cheeks, black eyes and a yellow circle of hair.
"Excuse me, you're Sora and Kairi, aren't you?" The girl asked.
"We are," Kairi asked.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"My name is Didi and I'm a huge fan of yours. And I was wonderin maybe you could have a double battle with me," DIdi said.
"Sure as soon as three of my Pokémon are healed up," Sora said. He looked at the Pokémon. "Wonder what kind of Pokémon are these." Sora took out his Pokédex and scanned them.
Flabébé, the Single Bloom Pokémon
Type: Fairy
When it finds a flower it likes, it dwells on that flower its whole life long. It floats in the wind's embrace with an untroubled heart. It draws out and controls the hidden power of flowers.
"Oh, they're so cute," Kairi cooed.
"Thank you. Allow me to introduce you to my Flabébé. The one on red is Carmen, the one on blue is Angela, the one yellow is Sasha, the one on orange is Anne-Sophie, and the one on white is Marcy," Didi said.
"Nice to meet you, girls," Kairi said.
"Bébé!" The Flabébé said.
The bell rings, indicating that Pikachu, Monferno, and Raboot have healed.
"Your three Pokémon are all fighting fit," Nurse Joy said.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy," Sora said. Nurse Joy smiled kingdly.
Sora and Kairi both stepped outside for the double battle. Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Meowth, and the Digimon watching the battle and rooting for them. Didi sent out Carmen and Marcy to battle.
"So, choose which Pokémon to battle!" Didi siad. Sora and Kairi each took out a Pokéball and threw them.
"Go! Raboot!" Sora called out.
"Go! Buneary!" Kairi called out.
Raboot and Buneary both came out to battle.
"Carmen, Marcy! Fairy Wind!" Didi ordered. Carmen and Marcy unleashed Fairy Wind at the rabbit Pokémon.
"Dodge and use Blaze Kick!" Sora ordered.
"Buneary! Dizzy Punch!" Kairi ordered.
Buneary and Buneary ame at their opponents to land a hit onto their opponents.
"Dodge and use Magical Leaf!" Didi ordered. Carmen and Marcy sends out Magical Leaf at the rabbit Pokémon couple.
"Buneary! Ice Beam!" Kairi ordered. Buneary fires Ice Beam and freezes the flower petals "Now, use Bounce!" Buneary jumps and comes down at the red Flabébé.
"Raboot! Flame Charge!" Sora ordered. Raboot got ready for a Flame Charge and then, comes at the white Flabébé.
"Marcy and Carmen! Use Fairy WInd again!" Didi ordered. The Flabébé sends out Fairiy WInd and struck them both.
"Buneary! High Jump Kick!" Kairi ordered. Buneary came down and landed a kick onto Carmen.
"Raboot! Quick Attack!" Sora ordered. Raboot lands a Quick Attack onto the white Flabébé.
"Ice Beam!" Kairi ordered. Buneary fires Ice Beam and struck both Flabébé, freezing them both.
"Low Sweep!" Sora ordered.
"Dizzy Punch!" Kairi ordered.
Raboot and Buneary landed a hit onto their opponents and brought them down. Raboot grabs Buneary and spun her around as both rabbit Pokémon began to evolve.
"Raboot!" Sora gasped.
"Buneary!" Kairi added.
"They're evolving!" Aqua said.
"Pika!" Pikachu said.
"Vee," Angel said.
Raboot and Buneary had both become a Cinderace and a Lopunny. Didi went to congratulate the couple.
"Well done, you two. You did a good job with your Pokémon," Didi said.
"Thanks, Didi," Sora said.
"You did too," Kairi added.
The newly evolved Pokémon gazed into each other and they smiled affectionatley. They then, nuzzle each other.
Meanwhile, Agunimon, Lobomon, Kazemon, Beetlemon, Kumamon, and Loweemon continued their search for Myotismon and his forces.
"This isn't as easy as I thought to find Myotismon," Beetlemon said.
"It would have been too easy to do so," Lobomon said.
"Well, we knew it wasn't going to be easy ever since we got here. We can hope maybe Leomon and the rest are doing good while we're here," Agunimon said.
"Right," the rest of the warrior Digimon all said as they continued on with their mission.
On the next day at the Pokémon Center, Sora, Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon all watched the battle between Aaron and Cynthia. They weren't the only ones watchin. Several other trainers, including Paul was watching.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! The Title for Champion has finally begun! And challenging Champion Cynthia is Aaron of the Sinnoh Elite Four! Here's what's at stake for our Bug Type Pokémon specialist challenger! If he emerges victorious, the tite of Champion Master will be his!The question is: Who will Lady Luck be smiling down on today?! We'll that's what we are here to find out!" The announcer announced. The battle has begun. Both trainers took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Garchomp! Battle dance!" Cynthia called out.
"Now, Drapion! You're the star!" Aaron called out. Both Pokémon have come out to battle.
"Cynthia begins with her ace Pokémon, Garchomp as Aaron has sent out his Drapion! What an exciting match it will be!" The announcer announced.
"Drapion! Ice Fang!" Aaron ordered. Drapion Drapion begins with Ice Fang to land a bite onto Drapion.
"And Drapion begins with an Ice Fang! A huge hurt for Garchomp since being a Ground Type and a Dragon Type!" The announcer announced.
"Dig!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp burrows into the ground.
"Garchomp dodges Ice Fang with Dig! A clever maneuver to avoid Ice Type moves!" The annoouncer announced. Drapion looks around and then, Draprion gets hit from below when Garhomp got struck with Dig. "And Dig has hit its mark!"
"Now, use Brick Break!" Cyhtnia ordered. Garchomp lands a hit onto Drapion and is taken down after being struck by two hits.
"And Drapion is down! Who will Arron send out next?" The announcer asked as Aaron calls back his fallen Drapion and threw his next Pokéball and unleashed his Vespiquen "And his second Pokémon is Vespiquen!"
"Use Attack Order!" Arron ordered. Vespiquen calls upon bee-like projectiles and sends them at Garchomp.
"Vespiquen uses on of its signature attacks on Garchomp and it looks like its doing some damage to it!" The announcer asked. Garchomp is unharmed. "No, Garchomp is not even phased!"
"Giga Impact!" Cynthia ordered. Garchomp darts towards Vespiquen with Giga Impact and lands a hit.
"And Vespiquen takes damage from Giga Impact!" The announcer announced. Cynthia calls Garchomp back. "Cynthia calls Garchomp back! A good call for Cynthia since Garchomp cannot move right away after using Gigia Impact!" Cynthia took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Gastrodon! Battle Dance!" Cynthia called out. Gastrodon came out to battle.
"And it's Gastrodon's turn!" The announcer announced.
"Stone Edge!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon sends Stone Edge out to strike Vespiquen.
"Defense Order!" Aaron ordered. Vespiquen forms a protective barrier with the bee-like projectiles and blocks Stone Edge.
"And Stone Edge is blocked!" The announcer announced.
"Slash!" Aaron ordered. Vespiquen comes at Gastrodon with Slash.
"Muddy Water!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon splashes Vespiquen with Muddy Water.
"Vespiquen gets struck by Muddy Water! This is known to lower accuracy when it strikes!" The announcer announced.
"Use Sludge Bomb!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon fires Sludge Bomb and struck Vespiquen.
"And Vespiquen has taken a bad hit with Sludge Bomb!" The announcer announced. Aaron calls Vespiquen back. He takes out his next Pokéball and threw it. A Scizor came out to battle. "And it's Scizor!" Cynthia calls back Gastrodon and calls out Lucario. "And Cunthia's next Pokémon is Lucario!"
"Dragon Pulse!" Cynthia ordered. Lucario unleashes Dragon Pulse and sends it right at Scizor and lands a hit onto Scizor. "Now, use Aura Sphere!" Lucario unleashed Aura Sphere right at Scizor and landed hit on Scizor.
"And it's Scizor that's down, and right before Scizor had a chance to attack! Aaron has lost three of his Pokémon!" The announcer announced. Aaron calls back Scizor and let's out Heracross. "Now, it's Heracross's turn to battle!"
"Heracross! Use Megahorn!" Aaron ordered. Heracross comes at Lucario with Megahorn.
"Heracross heads right towards Lucario! Will it hit?!" The announcer asked.
"Psychic!" Cynthia ordered. Lucario grabs Heracross and lifts him in the air.
"Cynthia takes advantage to Heracross's weakness to Psychic Type moves with Psychic!" The announcer announced. Lucario slams Heracross on the ground. "And Heracross is down and out!" Aaron calls back Heracross and pulls out another Pokéball and threw it. It unleashes a Dustox. "Aaron's next Pokémon is Dustox!" Cynthia calls back Lucario and sends Gastrodon back out. "And it's Gastrodon back out to battle!"
"Stone Edge!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon sends out stones right at the poison moth Pokémon.
"Gastrodon starts things up with Stone Edge!" The announcer announced.
"Dustox! Double Team!" Aaron ordered. Dustox made several copies of itself all over.
"Dustox avoids Stone Edge with Double Team! What a lucky save for Dustox!" The announcer announced.
"Muddy Water!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon unleashes Muddy Water and lands a hit onto the real Dustox.
"Dustox is struck by Muddy Water and finds the real one!" THe announcer announced.
"Stone Edge!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon struck Dustox and takes it down.
"And Dustox is down for the count! Now, Aaron has one more Pokémon left to use as Cynthia hasn't lost a single one!" The announcer announced. The group had remembered how it was when Sora and Paul, but the only difference is, Sora actually took one down, something neither Paul or Aaron had done. Aaron took out his last Pokéball and threw it. "And his last Pokémon is Beautifly!"
"Beautifly! Energy Ball!" Aaron ordered. Beautifly fires Energy Ball right at the sea slug Pokémon.
"Stone Edge!" Cynthia ordered. Gastrodon sends the rocks right at Beautifly and cuts through the Energy Ball, and lands a hit into the butterfly Pokémon.
"Gastrodon blocks Energy Ball with Stone Edge!" The Announcer ann9unced. Beautifly fell to the ground, beaten. "And Beautifly is down and out! Now that was some fierce battling indeed! Aaron's use of his Bug Type Pokémon was admirable!" Cynthia and Aaron shook hands.
"You battled well, Aaron. Thank you for this match," Cynthia said.
"You too, Cynthia," Aaron said.
After the battle had concluded, Paul saw Sora and his friends and went up to them.
"You!" Paul said. Sora and the rest has taken a look at Paul. Sora could sensed something was up with Paul. "I had a feeling you'd be here." Sora didn't like how Paul was talking to him.
"Paul?" Sora asked. He then said in his thoughts. "Reggie wasn't kidding. I can feel something off about him. I know Paul was and is a jerk, but something's gotta give."
"You think you're such a big shot just because you're a Pokémon League Champion, but you're not! The truth is, you're a phony!" Paul accused. Sora was taken aback by what Paul had just said to him.
"Phony?" Sora asked. "What are you talking about, Paul?"
"Don't play with innocent with me! You know what things you said about me!" Paul accused.
"Once again, I have no idea what you're talking about!" Sora argued. He said in his thoughts, "What's with him? Why is he giving me such an attitude?" His eyes glows a deeper shade of blue again as he has another vision, but not of the future, but of the past. He saw Paul was in the Digital World with Duskmon and him talking to Myotismon. Paul seeing an illusion, making him think Sora and the rest were acting all snobbish towards him. He said in his thoughts, "So that's it! Paul made contact in the Digital World And with Myotismon! I got to try to talk some sense into him." "Paul, whatever you think we said, we never said anything about you."
"So, now, you're lying to save yourself!" Paul countered. "How like you!"
"Paul, don't you get it? What he said to you, what she showed you wasn't real!" Sora said. Kairi, Ventus, Terra, Aqua, Pikachu, Angel, Meowth, and the Digimon were caught off guard by what Sora is saying to him.
"Don't change the subject! Admit what you said to me!" Paul demanded.
"Paul, I'm not admitting to anything I didn't say. None of would ever say what the illusion us would say," Sora said. Paul wasn't buying it and he pushes Sora down. "Paul! What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"Stop lying to me! Just admit it!" Paul said. Kairi went up to hiom and slapped him right in the face. He looked right aat her as Kairi gave him an angry glare.
"I don't know what you're thinking, but if Sora said we didn't do anything, then we didn't do anything! So, don't you dare accuse us of misdeeds because of your horrid personality! So, do us all a favor and grow up!" She went to help her boyfriend on his feet.
"What's with the attitude, Paul? This attitude is bad even for you," Terra said.
"I don't need to explain anything to you! You're a fraud, Sora! I'm going to show them all that you are!" Paul said.
"How?" Sora asked.
"The battlefield! Five minutes!" Paul said. Sora didn't know what to say. Kairi was concerned about Paul.
"Sora? Is something wrong?" Kairi asked.
"You don't know how wrong it is," Sora said.
"What are you talking about?" Meowth asked.
"I had a look at Paul and I started to see things. I saw Paul in the Digital World and he was with Myotismon," Sora said.
The rest of the group all have collective gasps.
"Myotismon?" Kairi asked in shock.
"Yeah. I think he did something to Paul," Sora said. The group knew it was bad news of Myotismon has done something to Paul to make his anger and hatred escalate.
The group made it out to the battlefield where Paul was waiting for Sora to come out.
"It's about time you shown up," Paul said.
"Paul, I'm going to tell you, none of us said those things about you. What Myotismon shown you was made up. It was all a lie, just so he could control you. And that's what's he doing," Sora said. Paul was stunned to hear Sora knew about the vampire Digimon.
"Don't think you can psyche me out with some random bullshit! I said that I was going to crush you and Riku the next time I saw you, so I'm going to make that happen! Three Pokémon each!" Paul proposed. Sora nodded. Paul took out his first Pokéball and threw it. "Electabuzz! Stand by for battle!" Electabuzz came out of his Pokéball and his eyes were in the same shade of red, just like before. Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Gible!" Sora called out as Gible came on out.
"Gible's a good choice to use against Electabuzz since Gib;e's a Ground Type," Agumon said.
"Much like Garchomp," Veemon said.
"Electabuzz! Brick Break!" Paul ordered. Electabuzz came at Gible with Brick Break.
"Dig!" Sora ordered. Gible dug into the ground to avoid Electabuzz's Brick Break. Electabuzz waited for Gile to come out. As soon as Gible did, he landed a hit onto Electabuzz. "Use Dragon Breath!" Gible fires Dragon Breath and it struck Electabuzz. "Dragon Breath again!"
"Protect!" Paul ordered. Electabuzz forms a protective barrier around himself and blocks Gible's Dragon Breath. "Brick Break!" Electabuzz comes at Gible with Brick Break.
"Bite!" Gible grabs Electabuzz with his jaws and swings Electabuzz arund and tosses him. "Dig!" Gible dug into the earth again.
"Protect as soon as Gible comes back out!" Paul ordered. Electabuzz waited for the land shark Pokémon to come right out. Gible did come out to give electabuzz a hit. Electabuzz used Protect to block, but failed. Gible landed a hit onto Electabuzz. Electabuzz had been brought down. Gible then started to evolve. Gible had now become a Gabite. Paul calls Electabuzz right back as Sora calls back Gabite. Paul took out another Pokéball and threw it.
"Honchkrow! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out. Honchkrow came on out while flying. Paul's Honchkrow has red eyes same as Electabuzz. Sora calls Gabite and threw his next Pokéball. "Go! Cinderace!" Cinderace came on out to battle Honchkrow.
"Honchkrow! Dark Pulse!" Paul ordered. Honchkrow fires Dark Pulse right at the striker Pokémon.
"Pyro Ball!" Sora ordered. Cinderace started to give a series of kicks with a pebble turning into a fireball and kicks the ball and struck the big boss Pokémon.
"Sky Attack!" Paul ordered. Honchkrow glows and got ready for Sky Attack.
"Blaze Kick!" Sora ordered. Cinderace ran towards Honchkrow to land a Blaze Kick. Honchkrow dodges and lands ahit onto Cinderace. "Cinderace!" The striker Pokémon took a hit. It was a critcal hit. "Now, use Shadow Ball!" Honchkrow fires Shadow Ball right at Cinderace and has been taken down. Sora calls Cinderace back. Pauk calls Honckrow back and he took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Magmar! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out. Magmar came out and has burning eyes like Electabuzz and Honchkrow! Sora took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Go! Urshifu!" Sora called out, letting Urshifu out to battle against Magmar.
"Magmar! Fire Punch!" Paul ordered. Magmar charged at with Fire Punch.
"Urshifu! Use Surging Strike!" Sora ordered. Urshifu struck Magmar three, landing critical hits.
"Magmar! Flamethrower!" Paul ordered. Magmar fires Flamethrower right at Urshifu to burn it.
"Dodge and use Dynamic Punch!" Sora ordered. Urshifu heads right towards Magmar and landed a hit. Magmar became confused when the attack hit.
"Wow, Magmar's all dizzy!" Patamon said.
"Dynamic Punch is a move that can cause confusion when it hits," Terra said.
"Magmar! Fire Spin!" Paul ordered. Magmar fires a stream of swirling flames and surrounded Urshifu.
"Surging Strikes!" Sora ordered. Urshifu came at Magmar and gave Magmar some critical hits. With the third hit, Magmar had been taken down. Paul growled with hateful rage. "It's over, Paul. You lost."
"This time, but I'll beat you the next time. And I hope you do make it to the Sinnoh Pokémon League, because that's where I'll destroy you in front of everyone! And they are all going to see you as the fraud as I do!" Paul said.
"Paul, you're being used. I don't know how, but Myotismon is using you. You have got to see it for yourself," Sora said.
"He has nothing to do with this! All he said was that he was going to help me get stronger, but I don't need help with that, because I'm going to do that on my own! And that's what I'm going to do! I'll be the most powerful Pokémon trainer the world has ever seen! More so than even Cynthia!" Paul stated in rage. Sora could see his words wasn't getting through to him. He took his leave.
Sora knew Myotismon was somehow behind Paul's unusual behavior, but he also knew he had to snap Paul of it and get him to realize the truth. The question is how was he going to do it...
