Lady Death leaped at Spawn with a war cry, and the Hellspawn quickly ducked to avoid becoming shish kebab with that sword she had in her hand. Spawn summoned his own sword and blocked hers, pushing her back a few steps as he tried to overpower her. lady Death then lifted her leg and kicked him in the side of the head.
"Ow." Nathan muttered as he stayed back and eyed the woman. "Seriously, What's with the clothing?"
"In Hell, it's warm." Lady Death growled.
"Hell? You're from Hell? Never seen you before." Spawn said before he ducked her sword and tried slashing her side but she was clearly a very skilled swordswoman as she had quickly blocked the strike and started furiously trying to slash him yet still wasn't thrown of her game like any other person would when slashing so recklessly like this. Spawn blocked her strikes and slashes and the two went back and fourth with parry and blocks before Lady Death swung one of he rlegs around to kick his head off but he ducked and tried slashing her but she blocked that then kicke dhim back before leaping and bringing her sword down but Spawn moved out the way and kept avoiding her strikes and slashes.
"Stand still and die!" Lady Death shouted.
"I died once...not happening again." Spawn growled before he lashed his chains out to wrap around the woman and smashed her into the ground a few times then threw her into several trash cans, sending several pieces of trash all over the pavement and road. "Stay down."
"Never." Lady Death growled as she got to her feet and leaped at Spawn with a furious war cry and brought her sword down but Spawn dashed to the side to avoid it, punched her in the ribs then elbowed her in the face before he threw a few lefts and rights, then kneed her in the stomach, but she recovered quickly and hit a spinning heel kick which knocked him to a knee.
"You did not skip leg day with those legs of yours." Spawn complimented.
"If that's some compliment to worm you way in between my legs...it won't happen." Lady Death said with a smirk as she twirled her sword. "Many men have tried charming their way into my bed...they all died for it. I only take men and women to my bed when I my needs demand it."
"Woman, I wasn't trying to-" Spawn was cut off when she tried to gut him but he backflipped away to avoid it then threw several blasts of Necroplasm at her but she rolled out the way, picked up a trash can lid to take the shot of another then threw it at the Hellspawn who hit a Matrix move as he bent backwards but when he straightened up he found himself getting dropkicked in the chest by Lady Death.
Spawn growled and decided to end this before somebody gets hurt so he teleported behind the woman who sensed this and whirled around with her sword slashing through the air but Nathan caught it in his hands, making her eyes widen before nathan headbutts her, drives his knee into her stomach, then rams her head into the wall a few times before throwing her back.
Lady Death got to her feet as her hands started glowing with power before she brought them together which made a powerful shockwave of energy that blew Spawn back into a shop.
KAAAABOOOM!
"Ow." Spawn muttered as he shook the glass off him and started getting to his feet when a sword was stabbed through his hand, making his growl in pain before he was kicked in the face, then kicked onto his back where the woman straddled him and started beating away at his face until he stopped moving.
Lady Death ripped his sword out his hand and stayed on top of him, ignoring what she was feeling from having her crotch area sitting on his. Men were so easily turned on by women like herself. She raised her sword.
"Rot in hell, Spawn the Hellspawn." Lady Death said and brought her sword down-
But Spawn caught the blade in between his hands. He looked at her with his green eyes glowing and growled as he fought to his feet and Lady Death got to her own, still pushing her sword down in an attempt to kill him.
"Ben there, done that." Spawn growled before he swung her sword, stilling holding the sword, and sent her along with her sword flying out onto the street. Spawn leaped and landed on her, wrapping his chains and cape around her until she was tightly restrained. "Now, why are you here? Why are you trying to kill me?"
Lady Death scoffed and looked away so Nathan tightened his grip on her.
"I can get very gruesome when it comes to torture and I'd rather not go to such lengths." Nathan growled as he glared into her white eyes but she glared back. "Very well. I know someone who gets the truth out of people."
He tapped his right ear and his comlink activated and he waited until the person eh was calling picked up.
"Hello?" Diana's voice came through.
"Hey Diana, how's it going?" Nathan asked as he turned away from the woman deliberately and took several steps from him, loosening his grip on her with a hidden smirk under his mask.
"Me and Steve are currently at a Greek restaurant that's opened up, Spawn" Diana said in a dry tone but Nathan could see the smile on her face as she said it
"Yeah, sorry to interrupt, but I need your help with something." Nathan said seriously.
"Oh and what's that?" Diana asked with interest, he could faintly hear Steve in the background asking what's going on
"Nothing much, just some woman in barely any clothing trying to kill me and refusing to speak to me about-" Nathan paused as he ducked to avoid getting decapitated by the woman, spun her around and knocked her right out with a hard punch to the jaw. "Okay..."
"What happened?" Diana asked with some concern in her voice
"Oh nothing to be concerned about. I have it handled." Nathan said. "Enjoy your date." With that he hung up, grabbed the knocked out woman and quickly left the area. Unaware of Purgatori watching from a rooftop.
"Grr!" she growled before quickly following...
Next chapter: Lady Death is freed of Purgatori's manipulation, but Purgatori strikes and attempts to take Spawn back to Hell for herself, but a team up between Lady Death and Spawn happens as they battle Purgatori.
