Riley stood alone in the park one afternoon wearing a coat, as a cool breeze passed by her. From nearby, Lucas walked over to Riley and said, "Hey Riley. Sorry I'm a little late. I didn't mean to be since it sounded like you had something really important to say over the phone." Riley looked nervous and Lucas noticed as he said, "Riley, you look like you're trembling." Riley nodded and then said, "I am trembling because... Lucas... I'm pregnant." Lucas looked shocked as he said, "What!? But we never..." Tears appeared in Riley's eyes as she began to lie with false conviction in her voice as she said, "A few weeks ago... this guy rapped me. Maya helped me file a report with the police but... they haven't found him yet, which means... I got pregnant with some strangers' baby Lucas." Lucas then hugged Riley tightly as he said, "Oh my gosh Riley. I'm so sorry. I... I wish you had told me sooner. I'm here for you always Riley." Riley then said, "I know. But this was just so hard to deal with. And I was worried you wouldn't want to marry a woman with a baby and..." Lucas then looked into Riley's eyes as he said, "Nonsense. Riley, I would marry you no matter how many babies you had. And if you want, we can pretend with anyone who doesn't know: that the baby is mine. In fact I'll marry you this summer before the baby is born if that reassures you. I love you, and that's all that matters." Lucas then hugged Riley, while Riley trying to hide her shame said, "Thank you Lucas."
Two months later in a church Riley stood behind a closed door with a white wedding dress on. She looked incredibly nervous. Then the doors opened and Riley quickly switched her face to a smile. Riley began to walk down the isle of the church sanctuary as she saw sitting in the church pews were her family and many friends. Then at the end of the isle standing waiting for her was Lucas. Lucas had a very happy smile on his face as he watched Riley come towards him. Riley kept her focus on Lucas the entire time she walked down the isle. The only exception though was one moment when she turned her head to look at Josh. Riley rubbed her stomach briefly as she briefly made eye contact with Josh. Then Riley looked at Lucas again as the wedding continued.
An hour later, Riley was washing her hands in the bathroom, when Josh carefully sneaked in. Seeing Josh, Riley said, "Josh, what are you doing here. This is the women's bathroom, and it's my wedding day." Josh then said, "I just wanted to make sure you're doing okay. Lucas doesn't suspect that I'm..." Riley turned her head and said, "No and he won't as long as he doesn't know you were in here." Then Josh said, "Okay. I'll get back to Maya then." Then Riley said, "Wait. How is Maya? She's seemed kind of off over the last two months." Josh then said, "She has but... I'll focus on her. You just focus on raising that baby with your new husband." Then Josh left the bathroom as Riley rubbed her stomach and sighed.
Several minutes later later, Riley and Lucas were both dancing in the middle of a dance floor for their wedding reception. Maya stood by herself on the side of the room by herself as this occurred. Then Maya suddenly began to breathe in and out deeply and then ran towards the bathroom. Riley noticed what Maya was doing and said, "Hmm. Maya, doesn't look too well. You think I should check in on her?" Lucas then looking at Riley said, "Riley, it's our wedding day. We should focus on just each other. But... as my wife, you are still allowed to check in on your friends. So what do you wanna do?" Riley then began to think of her next choice she had to make.
