It was finally Yukin's turn to take part in the Junior Champion League. He was dueling against Sylvester, but Sylvester has complete control. Sylvester may have only 2000LP, but he has Yokaizer West Spirit Gate and Yokaizer East Spirit Gate. That means he can summon almost any Yokaizer from his hand. He's also got Yokaizer Shrine with three counters on it, since he summoned his strongest monster, to return any of Yukin's cards to his hand. The worst is that he elemental summoned Yokaizer Hinoenma with her having 2600atk points. All Yukin had was is two face-downs to protect him with 2600LP.
"How ironic that the man that created elemental summoning is going to be defeated by his own creation." Sylvester said. "Yokaizer Hinoenma, attack Yukin directly!"
"No! It has enough attack points to end the duel now!" Zoey said as this wasn't looking good. Yukin tried running for it, but the fire lady raised her hand to strike him.
"Yukin can run as far as he like, but that attack is going to hit." Nemo said.
"It's all over, Yukin!" Sylvester said.
"Not quite!" Yukin said. "I play my trap Miracle Uprising! When I'm about to lose all my life points, I can send one monster in my hand to the graveyard to cut the damage I take all the way to that monster's attack points. I send Light Ray Scorpion to the graveyard, who only has 100atk points. That means I'm only taking a hundred points of damage." Hinoenma's swung her hand and generated a gust of fire. Yukin did get hit by it, but his life points only dropped to 2500 as he was blown into a ditch near the center tower.
"Yukin pulled out a real miracle there!" Nemo said. "He only lost a mere 100LP."
"That was close." Siegrain said as all of them were relieved that he made it.
"It's going to take more than that to beat Yukin." All of them looked to see Yuzu arrived.
"Yuzu, you made it." Eli said.
"As if I was going to miss my son duel." Yuzu said. "He might be against someone else that can elemental summon, but I'm sure he'll find a way to pull through." She believes in her, as do the others, but Yukin is going to have a real fight on his hands.
"You may have survived, but you still won't win." Sylvester said. "I activate Hinoenma's special ability. By returning her to my extra deck, I can get back a Yokaizer from my graveyard." Hinoenma dissipated as Sylvester took a card from his graveyard. "I choose Yokaizer Okami. That means I can block your next attack. I end my turn."
"It looks like Yukin is in a real predicament." Nemo said. "Sylvester can return any of Yukin's cards to his hand. If he can't stop that, Yukin is done for."
'I hate to admit it, but motormouth up there has a point.' Yukin thought as he stayed in the ditch and waiting for his chance to attack like a soldier. 'I need to stop him from returning my cards to my hand, but how?' "I guess I better draw something good and I better to it now." Yukin drew his card and it was a spell that could do what he needed. Yukin climbed his way up the tower as he jumped on broken wooden beams and stood at the top of the wall. "I'm going to start by summoning Grapple Possum to the field!" He summoned out his possum with it having 900atk points. "I'm sure you remember what this one can do from our last duel."
"Yes, I remember. You can bring out one monster from you hand or graveyard when that rodent is summoned." Sylvester said.
"That's right. That's why I'm bringing back Light Ray Scorpion!" Yukin said as he brought back his scorpion with it having 100atk. "I now combine the forces of light with the forces of dark! Come together as one!" Both his monsters had their respected elements swirl around his monsters as they joined together. "I elemental summon a chaos attribute. I summon Phantom of the Cosmos!" He summoned out his phantom as it came out with 2400atk points.
"You used him in our last duel, but how is he going to help you this time?" Sylvester questioned.
"Like this. I activate the equip spell known as Ribbon of Sanctity!" Yukin said as a white ribbon appeared over his phantom's shoulders. "As long as my specter is equipped with this, he's immune to your card effects that would cause him to leave the field."
"Awesome!" Siegrain said.
"I'll say. With that ribbon, Sylvester won't be able to send Phantom of the Cosmos back to the extra deck." Nathan said.
"Phantom of the Cosmos, attack him directly Chaos Cosmic!" Yukin said as his phantom fired a cosmic energy blast.
"Did you forget that I have Yokaizer Okami?" Sylvester said. "I can just send it to my graveyard and block your attack." He discarded his card and the attack was blocked.
"Actually, I knew you would do that." Yukin said. "That's why I'm activating my trap: Shattered Mirror! When damage is blocked, this trap deals half the damage you would have taken. Since you blocked a direct attack from my phantom, who has 2400atk points, you're taking 1200 points of damage." His phantom gathered power and released an energy blast that hit Sylvester and his life points dropped to 800.
"Look at that. Yukin knew exactly what Sylvester would do and was ready for it. That's a real duelist for you." Nemo said.
"Oh please. I'm the better duelist." Sylvester said.
"Come on, Sylvester. Haven't you learned anything from our last duel?" Yukin said. "You should know better than to get so arrogant."
"Just you wait. I'm not done with you quite yet. You might have more life points, but I'll be the one left standing." Sylvester said as he was determined to beat Yukin.
"We'll see about that. For now, I end my turn." Yukin said.
"My turn!" Sylvester said as he drew his next card. "I'll start by playing Yokaizer Banishment. By banishing Yokaizer Enenra from my graveyard, this allows me to draw two cards." He drew his two cards and he liked what he got. 'I could use Yokaizer Shrine to return his spell, but he can just play it again. It also won't get rid of his phantom. Better play some defense.' "I now use the power of my two spirit gates to summon Yokaizer Bakeneko and Ittan-Momen!" He summoned out his two monsters in defense mode with 800 and 400def points. "I'm also summoning Yokaizer Kappa!" He summoned out a kappa-like creature with it having 500def points. "With three more, I get three yokaizer counters." Three more candles were lit for a total of six. "I end my turn by placing one face-down."
"My turn!" Yukin said as he drew his next card. "I'm sure you remember what my phantom can do. One monster is allowed to attack every monster on the field." 'I don't know what he's planning, but I've got to take out his Yokaizers while I still can.' "Phantom of the Cosmos, attack with Chaos Cosmic!" His phantom went on the attack as he destroyed the kappa first, but that was the only one destroyed. "What? Why was only one destroyed?"
"It's Yokaizer Kappa's ability." Sylvester said. "You have to attack him first, but the moment he's destroyed, the battle phase instantly ends."
"Wow! Sylvester played that well. Those two keep countering each other's moves. This duel could go either way." Nemo said.
"Well, I'll just end my turn." Yukin said.
"My turn!" Sylvester said as he drew his next card. "I'll start by activating Yokaizer Shrine's ability! I return Yokaizer Bakeneo to my hand and blow out one candle." One candle went out as his cat girl was leaving the field. "With that, I'm returning your ribbon to your hand." Ribbon of Sanctity was returned to Yukin's hand with him wondering what Sylvester was planning.
"You can only use Yokaizer Shrine's effect once per turn. Why use it now?" Yukin said.
"It's so I can activate my trap." Sylvester said. "I activate Yokaizer Whirlwind! Since a Yokaizer and one of your cards was returned to our hands, this trap forces you to discard every card in your hand." Yukin was annoyed, but he did what he was told as every card in his hand went to the graveyard. "Your troubles are just starting. I'm bringing Bakeneko back to the field." His monster came back out with 800atk points and another candle lit. "I now activate Yokaizer Camouflaged. This spell card allows me to change the attribute of a Yokaizer. I change Ittan-Momen from wind to fire."
"Here it comes." Yukin said as he readied himself.
"I now combine the forces of wind and fire!" Sylvester said as fire came around Ittan-Momen and wind came around Bakeneko with them coming together. "I elemental summon Yokaizer Hinoenma!" Hinoenma came back on the field with 2600atk points. "That's another counter for me, for a total of seven. This also means that Hinoenma is attacking your phantom! Attack with Inferno Blowing!" His monster unleashed the attack. Yukin's phantom was consumed by the fire and Yukin was blown back from the attack as he fell into the tower and his life points dropping to 2300.
"Ooh! Sylvester is really turning up the heat!" Nemo said.
"He'll be fine. He still has plenty of life points." Augustus said.
"That's right. He's not beaten yet." Alyssa said.
"But he's got nothing in his hand or on his field. He's completely defenseless." Siegrain said.
"One more turn is all Sylvester needs to end this." Eli said. Things were looking bad for Yukin. It almost seemed hopeless. Sylvester hopped on Hinoenma's hand and she carried him over to the tower. Yukin made his way through the tower as he stayed strong. He made his way to one side of the tower, but Sylvester and Hinoenma showed up. Sylvester jumped off and spoke with Yukin.
"If you want to back down, I won't blame you." Sylvester said. "It's not like you had a real chance against me."
"No way, Sylvester. I'm not giving up." Yukin said.
"Please. Look at you." Sylvester said. "You have nothing in your hand or on the field. You can't turn this around."
"Is that so? Let's find out. I still have one draw left." Yukin said as he wasn't giving up. The crowd was getting into this as they admired how he isn't backing down. "I draw!" Yukin drew his next card and everyone was wondering what was going to happen. "Well, look at that. I drew the one card that actually can help."
"You lie." Sylvester said.
"Nope. I activate Ultra Ace!" Yukin said. "This spell card is a little tricky to pull off. I must have no cards in my hand or on my field to activate it. Thanks to you, I have that. Since I have no cards in my hand and my field is clear, I can summon any monster from my extra deck and ignore the summoning conditions."
"Are you kidding me?!" Sylvester said.
"I'm afraid not. Come forth, Sapphire Serapho!" Yukin said as his ace monster emerged on the field with 2500atk points.
"Hold on. Why would he summon Sapphire Serapho? With Storm Sterrogin's ability, he can win." Siegrain said.
"There must be a reason." Zoey said.
"Summoning out your ace monster? It's too bad he's weaker." Sylvester said.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that just yet." Yukin said. "Ultra Ace has one other ability I can if you have a monster that's stronger than mine. By banishing it, all other cards in my graveyard return to my deck and I can draw five new cards!"
"Are you serious?!" Sylvester said. Yukin was as every card in his graveyard came back. He placed them back in his deck and drew five new cards.
"Amazing! Yukin was able to get a fresh new hand AND summon his best monster!" Nemo said. "Still, he better have drawn something that increase Sapphire Serapho's power."
"I did. Look who's back!" Yukin said as he summoned out Night Gorilla again at 1600atk points.
"Not Night Gorilla again!" Sylvester said as he didn't like where this was going.
"I activate Night Gorilla's ability to increase Sapphire Serapho's power by 400!" Yukin said as Serapho's power increased to 2900. "Sapphire Serapho, attack with Spiral Blue Flame!" Serapho unleashed the attack as he blasted Hinoenma and destroyed her with Sylvester's life points dropping to 200. "And with Night Gorilla, this duel is over!" Night Gorilla charged right at Sylvester and smashed against him as he lost the last of his life points.
"It's over! Yukin won!" Nemo announced as the field was returning to normal.
"I can't believe I lost again." Sylvester said as he moped on the floor. Yukin walked over and held out his hand towards Sylvester.
"It was a good duel, Sylvester. You did well. In fact, that's why I summoned Serapho. It was my way of showing some respect for a great duel." Yukin said. Sylvester was touched as he grabbed Yukin's hand and was pulled up.
"I suppose you weren't so bad either." Sylvester said. Everyone cheered for the two of them as they both fought a splendid duel. Everyone took it while they could because the duels aren't going to be friendly from this point on.
