Authors note: trigger warning this chapter is about panic attacks and stuff so if it bothers you just skip this chapter it's not all that important. Again read the author note at the bottom though
We chased of the insurgents keeping a firm hold on the base General Kenobi's reinforcements and gunships arrived.
"Captains." Kenobi said kindly
"It's good to see you General." Thira said.
"The council apologizes for not realizing that Krell fell to the darkside." Kenobi said." General Skywalker is on the way until then both battalions will stay on The Negotiator."
"I'll round up the troops." Rex said.
"Did you bring Boil" Thira asked I had heard about their little adventure on Ryloth.
"He's on the gunship. If you want to talk to him it be greatly appreciated." Kenobi said Thira nodded and took off. We walked silently through the base stopping at the makeshift medical bay. Krell wanted to take out as many of us as he could before he left.
"General am I glad to see you" Kix said softly
"You too Kix how's everyone doing?" Kenobi asked.
"Most of them will survive and be returned to the unit." Kix went back to a patient prepping them to move.
"We have to bring Krells body back to Coruscant do you know where it is." Kenobi looked at me
"It's probably still in the brig." I replied. He nodded and I lead him into the brig.
A chill settled over the room. I stared at Krells slumped form a blaster shot in his heart. I sucked in a shuddering breathe. Images of dead clones and bodies flashed through my head on repeat.
"Sorry Kenobi but I can't be in here not with him not I just" I said quietly. I practically sprinted from the room.
My heart pounded and my hands shook. I pushed past a trooper not hearing what he said as blood pounded in my ears. I slipped into a room sitting behind the door. My throat and chest tightened, I removed the armor plates tossing them to the floor before sitting down on the cold floor. The pounding in my ears lessened as I pressed my face into my knees. Tears dropped down my face.
I heard the door open and some one stepped in I pulled my legs tighter keeping out of view.
"Lillee" Fives voice rang in the room"I know your in here."
"Go away Fives." I said lowly. He stood infront of me." Don't make me make it an order."
"I'm done listening to orders for the day so scoot." He said pushing to sit beside me. "Krell?" He asked putting his arm around me.
" it's I just I couldn't I couldn't breathe." I leant into his embrace small sobs wracking my body.
"Hey it's ok" he murmured. I sat up and rubbed my face.
" I'm sorry. We nearly executed you and here I am bawling into your arms." I said apologetically
"Hey don't do that. You and Thira have been there for me and the rest of the 501st countless times let me be here for you right now.Dik'ut" he said softly ending with a light chuckled.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled quietly.
"You want to get off this damn planet?" I asked.
"Definitely and I want Kix to check you out later promise." He said. I rolled my eyes and reclipped my armor and helmet
"Fine but later." I said we walked out of the closet and walked through the base to the hangar.
We boarded a gunship bound for the Negotiator.
The ship was fairly busy as they finished loading. I stepped out into the hangar thrilled to be off that cursed planet.
Fives walked me to the medical bay where Kix was filing paperwork
"When I said later I meant like tomorrow or something." I said as he forced me to sit on an empty cot. Kix poked his head up.
"What's going on?" He asked.
"She said something about not being able to breathe." Fives said.
" why the hell didn't you come in earlier then?" Kix said looking at me
"Hey in my defense it isn't going to happen again." I said.
"Strip out of your armor Fives out close the curtain behind you." Kix barked.
Fives pulled the curtains shut and stepped out. I removed my armor plates from my torso and remove my helmet pulling of the under armor leaving me in my tank top and a pair of leggings.Kixs eyes hardened.
"What happened?He asked softly
"I pissed off a force user Kix what else could have happened." I said.
"Take a deep breathe." He instructed and I did so" it's just superficial bruising now damage to the lungs or throat." He said." I want you to ice it for a bit though. Fives can you go grab an ice pack there in the top shelf of the cooler."I chuckled softly as I heard a small crash.
"Got it.." Fives said poking his head in" I'm gonna shoot him." He growled
"Wouldn't do any good." I said.
"It make me feel better" he replied. I chuckled softly pressing the ice up to my throat.
I stood up checking my watch. I had a briefing in about ten minutes.
I grabbed the top of my blacks tugged it on, adjusted the ice and walked to the war room.
Obi Wan was in there with Cody both standing around the holotable. They had mirrored each other's expressions the furrowed brows and pursed lips.
"Commander it's good to see you. How are your men" I asked Cody.
"They'll be alright." He replied. I nodded. I looked at the table. I looked at the kill count and injured tallies. It made me nauseous. I felt an arm slink around my waist pulling me around.
"Move your hand" Thira said I looked up at her. She blocked me from view and pulled back the collar of my blacks. "Was this what he was talking about?" She looked at me.
"Not now"I muttered dipping out of her grasp and turning back to the table.
Rex and Appo joined us along with Skywalker ,Ahsokas and the councils holograms.
"Shall we begin?" Windu asked
"Yes masters. We have captured Umbara. It was a challenge due to General Krells treachery. We lost a lot of men." Kenobi explained.
"Troubling Krells fall is"Yoda said
"Is he the reason the casualties were unusually high during this mission." Windu asked. They looked at us expectedly
"Yes. Per General Krells orders we attacked the capital straight on costing us many men then he pushed two more flawed strategies causing in more deaths his final command pitted clones troopers from the 212th and the 501st against each other."Cody explained. Skywalker gaze hardened and he gritted his teeth Ahsoka looked horrified
"During our attempts to bring him in more men died. If it were not for clone trooper Tups actions I fear more of us would be dead" Thira explained.
"Ahsoka and I will be joining you guys on the Negotiator soon." Anakin said
"Headed to Kiros you will be looking for missing colonists" Yoda said.
"Of course Masters. Anakin were looking forward to having you back." Kenobi said the council left the call.
"We'll be there soon Rexter don't worry about it." Ahsoka said
"We'll be waiting sir" Rex replied. The call fizzled out.
"Get some rest. Don't hesitate to ask for anything" Kenobi said concern lining his face. Rex nodded before leaving the room. Thira grabbed my arm and pulled me from the room.
"Why didn't you say anything?" She asked.
"Couldn't would've made it worse for you guys." I said.
She pulled me into a tight hug. I melted into it. Her fingers combed through my hair.
"It'll be alright" she whispered
