Chapter 33….

Terri was getting ready to go to work at Metro when the doorbell rang and to her surprise she found tom on the doorstep;" Hi, I'm Tom Hughes. Is Janet here by any chance?"

"Yes, she's in the living room." said Terri surprised and lead him into the living room, where her sister was sitting on the couch;" Tom Hughes is here to see you, Janet."

"Thanks, Terri." replied she and looked up at Tom with a nasty look while her sister walked away to give them some privacy;" I suppose you are here because of Jack?"

"Yes, I am." answered Tom as he gave her some papers;" Jack wants a divorce. Here are the divorce papers and you can read through them. If you have any questions have your lawer contact me and otherwise you can sign them and send them back to me."

"Does Jack really think that I'm just going to let him use me like a fool and expect me to just give him a divorce like that?" asked his friend's wife;" It will be a cold day in hell before I will sign these papers, Tom! You can go and tell jack that!"

"I can understand that you're mad at Jack and that's fine. But you won't be able to stop Jack from divorcing you in the end. It's better to just accept it instead of trying to fight it." warned he Janet;" Jack doesn't want to stay in this marriage anymore and why would you want a man that wants somebody else?"

"Go to hell! You and jack both!" yelled Janet angry and threw the papers on the ground;" There's no way in hell that I'm going to let Jack divorce me so that he can go back to that lush!"

"Be smart. Just sign the papers and get it over with." said her husband's friend with a sigh and walked away;" Bye."

"What did he want?" asked Terri worried after Tom had left and came back into the living room;" Are you okay, Janet?"

"He came to deliver divorce-papers." answered she;" Jack couldn't wait to have Tom draw up divorce-papers."

"And now?" replied her sister as she looked at the papers on the floor;" What happens now?"

"I won't sign those damn papers!" said Janet angry;" Jack can go to hell!"

Out at the farm Holden was having a late breakfast with Molly when Jack walked back in again;" Good morning."

"Good morning." said Holden;" You were gone early this morning."

"Yeah, I was." replied his cousin with a faint smile and got himself some coffee;" J.J. is back again."

"He is?" asked Molly surprised;" Since when and why, Jack?"

"I don't exactly know why. He showed up at home a little while ago and told us that he didn't want to go back to boarding school in England." answered he;" So I called up the headmaster and explained everything to him. Now all we have to do is enroll him into school here."

"What were you doing over at Carly's?" started his friend slowly;" Wasn't J.J. surprised to find you there?"

"He kind of was, but I told him that I was there fix something." replied Jack with a faint smile;" I think he believed me."

"You hope so, Jack." laughed Holden;" Kids usually know more than you think. Maybe it's time to tell them the truth about where your marriage to Janet stands and about what has been going on between you and Carly."

"I wanted to tell the kids about that, but Carly didn't. She's the one who wants to wait until my divorce with Janet is finalized before we tell the kids about us." answered he annoyed;" I hope that Tom is able to get her to sign those damn divorce-papers soon."

"Good luck with that." replied Molly as she got up, kissed Holden and left;" I have to go, boys. Bye."
